Would not send anyone to this place.. in need of a severe management change. Was released on Friday with orders for home health but someone dropped the ball and of course want to pass the buck. Needless to say Ive been home 1 week and still no home health. But thats ok Ive done it all myself. When I was there was told they dont do things, have bed site, and when wanted up fir restroom was told didnt know how to transfer from bed to chair.. why not, you learn that when you certified

The first two weeks my husband was there, he was in a Covid quarantine hall. The staff on that hall were really good. Very nice, happy, helpful, compassionate and attentive. Then he was moved to a room in the general area. Not so good here. The staff was nice but when I was there I didn’t see much of them. We rang the nurse button - husband needed help getting up to go to the bathroom- and after 20 minutes I went up to the nurses station to find out why no one had responded. They sent a very nice woman down. The room wasn’t throughly clean. There was something splattered on the wall. They cleaned it as soon as I pointed it out to them. It was there when my husband moved into the room. And there was visible dirt in the corner behind a chair. The room was so small it was very difficult to maneuver a wheelchair around. He was there for physical therapy following a hospital stay. The physical therapists also were very nice and did their job well. However, he could have used a walker in his room but he wasn’t given one. Just a wheelchair. It’s almost impossible to get anyone on the phone. We were charged for the month of May, but he checked out the end of April. I have called numerous times and left messages but no response. These are just some of the issues we had.I would not use this place again. I don’t recommend it.

I would not recommend this faculty. My mother was there and she was a full care patient that could not communicate to tell them what she needed. We would have to call several times to get someone to answer the phones. When we would tell them of mother’s needs they act as if we were a burden and the issues they were ignoring was turning her leaving her in one position for hours, not giving fluids like they should, not properly bathing her, a few times miss feeding her or half feeding sometimes forgetting to change med patch, not changing like they should. When calling to speak with the DON, she was never available and never returned calls concerning our mother and issues in her care. During the COVID shut down, we had a hard time communicating with nursing and CNA’s often ignored us when asking about mother’s care. Over heard one employee tell another just ignore us. The Adminitrator tried to correct issues but the issues changed for a week and most of the nursing and CNA staff went back to same ways, uncaring. I have Witnessed staff attending and handling her without wearing mask properly possibly exposing and putting her at risk for COVID. The faculty is a physically nice building but a business is only as good as it’s staff and a lot of the staff failed in the area of compassion and care. The faculty is to big of a place to have a very very few employees do their job. Only witnessed on one hand the ones that did and if mother didn’t get one of them for care that day, her care was neglected. To work with the elderly and sick, you need the compassion to do such a job. If you don’t have it, you need to find another kind of work because these are sick, elderly and handicapped human beings that depend on them for care. They deserve to be treated with compassion as you would your own loved one…..I could never treat anyone loved one the way my mother and we were handled… ☹️

During my time with Accel, I have been very impressed with the staffs passion to care for the residents. Staff are open to family, residents, and team members recommendations for improvements. The team is determined to give the best quality of care to all residents while also supporting family members, especially during the current pandemic. They have created a family website, planned for when they can have outdoor visitations, and are continuing to put the health of their residents as a first priority when creating policies and plans. Residents at Accel are very happy with the relationships they have created with staff and that is the best part about Accel- the value they place on creating lasting relationships with the residents there.

Great place to work, especially during these unprecedented times. The staff works well together. We are all like family. Residents are our number one priority. And while there may be kinks here and there, I’ve seen nothing but the best care given. Also want to shout out to the corporate side. HMG really stays in the mix with their buildings. They are always available for any problem that arises. To stay with a company long term nowadays is not the norm, but I can see myself here 10 years from now.

I have worked in long term care for almost 30 years and I know what good team work looks like. And let me say, Accels teamwork is very, very good. Communication is of the upmost importance and we here at Accel understand this. I am proud to call the staff at Accel my co-workers and my friends!

My father in law was recently taken out of this place and I can only Imagine the type of care he received! No responses from anyone. Staff took a basket and valentines goodies from him and dumped what they didn’t want into a clear bag. His phone was disabled from someone trying to log into the phone multiple times. I do not trust this place.

Accel was recommended and advertises its services for respite care. However, they told me that they do not take firm reservations for specific dates. Its catch as catch can on the day the caregiver hopes to leave for a scheduled vacation. Clearly that is impossible for true respite care to allow a caregiver to go away on a scheduled vacation for relief time. Please stop advertising as respite care and just be honest about what you really offer.

The facility is beautiful and the staff is very involved in providing good care. The administration is available to answer any questions and works quickly to address any concerns brought to their attention. I was even surprised when I got a follow up call to check on how things were going. They did a good job helping us to understand how a Skilled Facility is different than an acute care facility as I had the same expectations from acute care to the Skilled. Once they educated me, I had a better understanding of the process. They also had great follow up with me. The team works hard and it is appreciated. Some people just focus on the negative...this team tries hard to always focus on the positive and strive for improvement. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

We have used Accel twice, 2018 and 2020. Both experiences were awful. There is no communication between staff and family. Medication was not given incorrectly. Meals did not follow required restrictions and most meals I had to go search for his tray because it wasn’t delivered. Physical therapy department was awesome. Plan to go help your family member at least 3 times a day because staff is not helpful unless you search for it.

After a social worker recommend this place we scheduled my moms move there after her total knee replacement surgery. This place is nothing but horrible! They do NOT check on patients, I could here crying and yells for help from other rooms. Every staff that came in Never knew what was wrong with my mom, I ALWAYS had to tell everyone that she does need help getting up. I wish they would have charts for each patient and be more active with me. They just forget about all of them. I even had a friend stay here and their experience was just as bad, not even remembering to give them breakfast/lunch/dinner and Never took them to PT. I can go on and on about this place. Just please If youre reading this DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!! Im Very disappointed in the staff and the social worker that keeps recommending this place. The only people who I was happy with was the physical therapists that worked once a day with my mom.

My grandmother is in this facility and I am not happy with the care, or should I say lack of care that she is receiving. It is unacceptable for her to lay in a bed where she is unable to get up and be left in a soiled diaper for on average an hour or more. You can ask an aide or a nurse either one to change her and you have to ask again and again! I have been in her room with her for over 2-3 hours and not one single staff member ever enter the room to check on her. She is not able to push the button to request assistance. They have brought her food tray in and just left it for her to fend for herself which she can not do. She had a stroke and is paralyzed on her right side. She attempts to feed herself. We have came in for a visit and she had food all over her where she had attempted to feed herself. They have brought her food tray in at 7:15 at night and said sorry the kitchen ran out of food and when asked what about silverware we were told I’ll try to find some. Thankful we had plastic ware in the drawer so she could eat the Luke warm mashed potatoes from the styrofoam bowl. The list goes on and on! These are just a few of the complaints we have.

I would not recommend this place for anyone. It looks great on the surface, but the service and care for patients who are bed-ridden is horrible. My mother is a patient here and unable to walk, sit up, or even turn over by herself due to a stroke. I have pushed her call button because she was in pain and it took more than an hour for anyone to respond. I have visited her for several hours and no one ever came by to check on her. Please do not put your loved one here. I am looking for another place for my mother.

See my review on their Facebook page. Not a place to go for rehab after a total knee replacement. My husband received virtually no care, no ice packs (that I brought), no pain medication (that we gave them prescriptions for) and no exercise. The 3 most important components of a successful knee replacement. It truly was a FUBAR. No one ever called to check as to why we left in the middle of the night, no one offered a wheelchair or escorted us to our car.

The facility is beautiful and most of the nurses and aides are wonderful and seemed to care for moms well being, but the administration here is the most unprofessional than I have ever seen. Mom needed to be in a more secure facility and their way of discharging a patient with dementia is unacceptable. The administrator and the director of nursing set a meeting with us but prior to the meeting had the social worker text and say they had already made up their mind to discharge mom and that a meeting was not necessary. We demanded to have the meeting anyway so that we could hear the reasoning behind the sudden discharge. We were left waiting for 55 minutes before finally being called in for our meeting. We were given unrealistic stipulations for mom to be able to stay so she was discharged at dinner time that same day. So bottom line is do not put your loved one here if you dont want them discharged via text and phone call and know that everything can change without any notice.
