This is a hellish, horrible place!! If you are able never, never send anyone here! My Mom is here because there were no other beds available in the area that would take her insurance and I (her daughter) live out of town. And yes, she is a paying customer. However, the treatment she is getting is horrendous. I have had to call the front desk on numerous occasions because they put her in a diaper, for there convenience, and let her sit in her own urine and feces for hours!! She has had to beg for water to drink, she has had pills thrown at her by the nurses. They have threatened to take her cell phone away from her, just to name a few of the injustices. These kind of people should be put in prison for violating human rights. Not to mention abusing an elderly woman. I can assure this hellhole that they have not heard the last of this.

DO NOT put your loved ones here! Within 12 days of my uncle being there, he has been found on the floor along with his mattress with just his head on the mattress, dirty in his own urine, severely dehydrated enough to be hospitalized. In the Locked down wing for Alzheimers patients, the windows can be opened and the screens can be knocked out. They have been sedating him so they dont have to mess with him. He was given codeine by a nurse and they were specifically told NOT to give him any of that because he cant handle it. The nurse said Well we had to do something. Seriously??? When he was admitted, he was walking and talking. Now with the care hes received, he can barely talk and he cant even walk right now. With Medicaid having to go through its processes, they cant even take him out of there until hes been there 30 days. At this rate, he might not be around by then.

Finally!!! Its about time. This place has been forced to shut down (due to financial and other difficulties to run the daily threshold and lack of staff), and was 60 days per the State to shut down I was told on 6/18/19, to close and move the patients to either Lampstand Health and Rehabilitation in Bryan, or Fortess Nursing home in College Station. I was there when some of the present 60 patients were being immediately transferred to the other facilities.

Tried to facilitate a transfer of my husband to this home. They claimed the insurance denied them and the person who answered was extremely rude to me. I called my insurance company back and they said we do have extended care coverage and they had never heard from this place. The patient advocate at the insurance company called them while I was on hold and the same lady (Reba? Reva?) answered and she was extremely rude to my husbands patient advocate, interrupting her after she introduced herself and before she gave the patient’s information, saying he didn’t have coverage. 1. HIPAA violation that I will be reporting, and 2. Don’t you think the patient advocate for the insurance company knows what the coverage is? I don’t think they will be getting my insurance company’s money. We will go elsewhere.

This place is the pits. They let my dad lie in his own poop while they stand around and visit. Twice Ive had to get involved to get nurses to do something and there is always an excuse. we are shorthanded or that isnt my job are favorites.Yesterday I called to speak with the lady who is their social worker who told me that medicaid (which they told us they would file when he was placed there in NOVEMBER) had been filed and they were just waiting. Today when I asked for copies of all the papers they filed they told my mother they had filed nothing. They were waiting on a report from a docter, that yesterday I had been told they had.Add to it no one ever seems to be available, if you call, you go to voice-mail. When you visit it is not uncommon to hear patients beeping for help for well over an hour with no one coming. I cant count the number of calls we have gotten that my dad isnt getting changed in a remotely timely manner because no one showed up for their shift. As recently as today, my mom has been unable, for an hour, to locate any form of management and even the transport guys that were moving my dad for a doctors apt today made jokes about it must be their 10:15 break when no one could be found.I strongly recommend you look past the fresh paint and nice furnishings to how this place is really run.On one visit, that I was up there because they neglected my dad, who has open sores for over an hour, I had the pleasure of running into a state investigator that was there over another families complaint.... it was amazing how fast they separated us.On that occasion their excuse for not caring for my dad was he is a nuecense to the nurses intentionally so they ignore him at times.... makes you feel like leaving your loved one there doesnt it? It cant be the first patient who is less then likeable but they all deserve fair treatment.Sadly its difficult to place overweight patients with medical problems. And this place has nurses who have made it clear to my mothers face they wanted him out at 21 days.... and on more then once occasion. He has been there 5 weeks and I have actually heard nurses discussing when I call which voicemail to send me to so no one has to actually DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM.After todays debacle I believe they will go to any lengths, seeing as they are well aware my parents are dependent on medicaid approval and had the nerve to lie to me about it being filed, to meet the results they want.... not what is best for the patient,
