Seizures are a byproduct of an organ transplant and my 70yo wifes was not specifically in the books, as well as fleeting with no cause suspects and reporting odd attributes to them. All the kings men ... couldnt get a bead on The Solution. This is a very high-IQ doc that doesnt need to drag you into office exams to tweak a solution for you. We didnt expect miracles on a first try, with 18 other pills taking action in her body, so not so great. Second tweaking was a home run and now happy to be tweaking the fine-tune-knob @ 1/2 pill sooner or later.NP DanaP is a refreshing, energetic IQ that immediately breathed sunny hope into our first office visit.Front Desk TIP: give these always busy gals a break by phoning in Qs for As instead of faxing. If pills are not forthcoming, speak to Ariel or message Dana to break any logjams for you. Lunchtime is important, so avoid that tiny amount rest time for them.

Horrible I saw him after being released from the hospital (2019). He did not care about anything I said or even bothered to look at cat scans. He only saw me once in office refused to schedule other appointments. Proscribed medications that was not safe for me to take.I chose to see a different neurologist (2021)After getting not having confidence in his care.I ended up in the hospital and he came in the room for less then 2 minutes, didnt offer any help didnt care about what was going on with me. I have not been able to function normally since 2019. Have had multiple neurological issues and it has made daily life difficult. I would not recommend him to anyone.Im honestly surprised he still has a license to practice.

Dr. Maraist has done amazing things with my migraines. I have been thrilled. Could his office staff be less rude? Yes, that is why they get 4 stars. I really would give 5 otherwise. I have had no problems with him or his nurse practitioner.

I havent personally gone through Dr. Maraist. But I have a close friend who has been dealing with unexpected seizures and he has done nothing for her. He changes the medication and then they come back. They started as very minor seizures to now very violent seizures. His latest recommendation was to work through the seizures. I have reached out to a few friends who work in the medical field and EVERY SINGLE one said.. DO NOT GO TO HIM. My friend is actively looking for another more qualified doctor.I had another friend who I spoke to and she expressed concern for my friend. She shared with me that Dr. Maraist almost killed her dad a few years back by prescribing him the wrong medication. He spent over 2 weeks in the hospital having his blood cleaned out every day for 2 weeks because of this guy. St. Joseph you might think again about this doctor!

Never in my life have I ever met a dr with such unbridled hubris. He was condescending and patronizing, gave me a 2 min cursory exam but refused to do the tests (that my doctors who just dismissed me from hospital) said I needed. He said these tests weren’t necessary as he has been a dr for many years and already knows my diagnosis. He was offended because I didn’t want to shake his hand he offered twice to me in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic and then proceeded to tell me how he wasn’t worried about the virus and continued to downplay it throughout the very short visit. His mask never even reached his nose, usually dropped to his chin. I will NEVER see this man again and want my money back.

Highly disappointed in this doctor and his bedside manner. Took my mom to visit him regarding a tremor in her hand. We were told to look up Parkinson’s on the internet to learn about it and if she wanted to start taking medicine to call him and come back in six months. My mom may have Parkinson’s, yet to be determined, but the delivery of the news was pathetic and uncalled for. Would give a negative rating but it’s not an option. On a positive note his front staff and nurse were very pleasant. College Station needs to find a more sensitive and less arrogant neurologist.

Best Neurologist I have had and I have had many Neurologist after suffering from 5 brain aneurysms. He has finally got my medications right since I starting going to see him 3 years ago. He also helped my 20 year old son that had severe migraines and has been migraine free for about 2 years now. I feel so Blessed to have found him and his staff are the kindest and most caring professionals

I had seen Dr. Maraist for about 2 years and have had MAJOR issues with him being in the office when I needed him the most, especially for the option the staff recommended to me for an ‘emergency’ injection of DHE (which has been the ONLY thing that has ever helped me kick a migraine, especially when the migraine has been going full-throttle for anything over 60-72+ hours). He is never in the office on Friday’s, and always appears to be “out of the office” before 11:00am, and you can certainly forget it if it’s after 3:30-4:00pm on any day of the week. I have scheduled appointments 6+ months in advance and have had the staff call me the day of to cancel appointments. Completely fed up with the lack of respect received from the staff. Dr. Maraist is great, when he’s actually in the office & seeing patients. Will not be continuing care, routine or otherwise, with Dr. Maraist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maraist for 20 years and I use to love him but his care for me had changed to only prescribing meds and referring me to other doctors and he dropped me as a patient and stopped prescribing my meds and I was not notified until I went into the office because the Pharmacy & I was sending in refill request that was not filled & one was a heart medication that he put me on and he refused to fill it and I am completely out and you know with heart medication you just cant just stop taking them nor change how you take them but he didnt care. I could die but he dont care I was told to find someone else to perscribe it for me. This is how you treat a patient that has been with you for 20 years plus. Would not refer anyone that I care about to him. I had been with longer than his staff. I miss the old staff. He has really changed over the years. I have been told by other patients he looks at them like he dont believe them when their telling him whats wrong with them. I was told by his staff that he told her he put me on heart medication for headaches??? When he put me on the medication when I was having chest pains. Well I now have a GREAT Neurosurgeon that can do more than just perscribe medication. Thank God! I had to add that after I ended up in the hospital after he stopped my medication cold Turkey they called me back and he wanted to take me back as a patient but my cardiologist recommended that I not restart taking the medication. Shes my cardiologist and she wouldnt have JUST put me on that medication and especially without me being monitored. Its safe to say I will not be going back. This really hurt because I was a patient of his a very long time.
