I usually go to a different location. However, I tried the college park location for the first time last week. I got a Brazilian wax and it appears that in addition to removing the hair, a patch of my skin was also removed in the process. It has been extremely painful. I reached out to European Wax Center and they notified me that someone would reach out but I have no heard back from anyone. I have been receiving waxes with them company for 2-3 years now and find this highly unacceptable. I am very disappointed with this experience and the pain that I am experiencing has me questioning your companies training and credibility. I would not recommend anyone to this place.

I love my service provider Xavi! She is very professional and a good conversationalist which really helps take the ease and nervousness of it all away. My wax specialist was very nice and professional. However, the front desk associate charged my card almost $200 for a wax pass without notifying me that I already had one. Is the commission that serious?

I love this location! Mimi is awesome! She takes her time, explains her process, and results are beautiful! She is always timely! Front desk staff are always amazing whenever I visit. They have great discounted packages that do not expire right away. During the pandemic, their check in process is quick. If you have trouble with mobile check in call the front desk for assistance. Great experience!

The front desk ladies are horrible!! They never answer the phones and as I’m writing this post, I’m on hold with European Wax Center College Park and I’ve been on hold forever. The professionalism with these young woman are terrible.

I’ve been to this location many times. The checkin is quick and service is great. The wax specialist Xavi is awesome. Great personality, fast and makes you feel comfortable. The check out process is super annoying with the wax pass. I’m aware of the wax pass but I am reminded about it every time which I understand that’s their job but some people don’t know how to deliver. Some front desk staff are not pushy about it but there’s one particular worker who has red hair and is always pushy and telling me that I’m wasting my money and I swear I be wanting to cuss her out. But overall my experience is always good and I come out feeling like a new woman :)

The front desk staff is nice and courteous (I believe their names were Dee and Kara) My second time here was about a week ago, Danielle did my first Brazilian for me. She was professional and friendly. I was nervous, she made it an easy process. I like the check in mobile feature, I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I was seeing Kayla, she is always professional, amazing personality and thorough in her work. She has always made sure I was comfortable and will truly miss her.

I went to the college park location and had my Sonya. She was so patient and fast. I’ve had Brazilians for years and this is the first time it was PAINFREE.. truly.. very impressed and I’ve already booked my next appt.

Love the EWC, it’s the only one I go to. Always have appointments available. I usually click “any” , so I’ve been able to receive service from almost all there waxers and can say they all are nice & do a good job. Xavi is my favorite though because she was gentle and detailed all while having good conversation.

I was a regular coming every month. Sreya and Mimi are great. Today was my last day going there though. My appointment was at 4:30 and 4:30 is when I did the mobile check-in. At 5pm I was still waiting so I decided to call to see whats going on and find out that whoever is in charge of mobile check-in is just now seeing my text and if I want an appointment Id have to wait until 7:45. I lost my appointment without it being my fault and told to wait hours until the next one? After this experience, I decided not to come back here anymore. If the person in charge of mobile check-in is not attentive, more people will end up going home disappointed as I did.

Great work, and very painful. I believe the establishment is clean and professional.

Today I had my first Brazilian Wax and it was not at all as painful as I thought it would be. I was blessed with Ms. Sonya and her communication was awesome. To add to that, she made sure I got what I came in for and I truly appreciate that. Outside of the actual work, the office is clean, all of the ladies there were pleasant over the phone and in person. I mostly appreciated the professionalism between the trainer and trainee... there was no always feeling. I’m definitely coming back and recommending!

I checked in for my 11am appointment at 11:06 and was turned away due to me missing their new “very strict” 5 minute grace period policy. This is highly inconvenient and I will never be visiting again.

Unbelievably rude service. Arrived a single minute late after being in stand still traffic, and was told that I cannot get waxed because I was late. Completely ridiculous and unsympathetic. Will not be coming back.

Got a Brazilian there and there was a friendly enough front desk. The wax tech was fun and bubbly and I tipped her 20% because her customer service was great. However by the time I got home to check, there were chunks of hair still remaining. That was disappointing lol. From the next day I exfoliated morning and night with a vegan chemical free scrub for a little less than week and still a ton of ingrown bumps showed up. That was also disappointing. The last time I got a Brazilian and stuck to that particularly exfoliation regimen, it had remained smooth 4 weeks later so I don’t think that was the issue. Not the worst thing ever but if I had known it would have these results I would’ve gone back to the Arlington spot that was ready to charge me 70 to be honest

I will be going there for my 2nd appointment but the 1st appointment went well and the person that I received Sonya talk me through the entire thing is very friendly personable

KHADIJAH Is a terrible waxer ! Her attitude stinks and she is very rude and doesn’t know how to speak to customers ! I would not recommend her AT ALL ! she also did not tweeze me after the wax was finished very sloppy and still had hairs left behind that could’ve been removed.

Due to the restrictions of Covid, upon arrival you must check in by text before entering. I am very appreciative of a business taking the initiative of safety for the customer as well as employees. Jo checked me in and provided me with excellent customer service. She was so warm, engaging, and thoughtful. I was apprehensive about getting a bikini wax but Khadija was so thorough and quick. Ladies and gentlemen if you are in need of a wax please request Khadija....she is AMAZING!!!!Thank you European Wax Center for a much needed self care day!!!

My daughter CLEARLY asked not to touch her eyebrows just to clean it up around her own shape. The girl completely ignored her and made her eyebrows extremely thin. My daughter is devastated and cant stop crying. Im absolutely livid.

I been going here for over a year and today I got my services done Nescia (I hope I spelled it correctly) and I truly enjoyed it. She was very professional but overall nice. I would recommend her to everyone and I’ll definitely go back to her. Overall the facility is taking its precautions right now and felt comfortable and safe.

I feel comfortable visiting this establishment during these times. They already were very clean pre-pandemic but the extra care they are taking makes me feel safer about my self grooming.

Unprofessional! At 10:09 I checked In for my 10:15 appointment and tried to drown out the the employee’s gossiping, “call, see if this person can come in earlier”,“see if you can give this person one of this person’s clients”, “People aren’t coming in for their appointments today”, “I don’t think people like driving in the rain” “girl these the Troy Shoes I want to get” until 10 mins after my scheduled appointment time I could no longer take the unprofessionalism and didn’t expect my experience to get any better. 10:31 I left the lobby without being called for my appointment.. . 10:34 I get a call “hay girl do you still want your appointment?” Ghetto and unprofessional.

My experience here at this European wax center was great. The young lady that completed my wax named Vanessa was very informative as well as kind and gentle. The lady that checked me out to complete the process was also extremely informative. The whole staff was very nice and well mannered. The location I believe it’s new and just from walking around doing the tour it’s very clean. I suggest any man or woman visit this location. Sidenote this was my first wax.

I arrived before the grace period expired but the receptionist said that my check in text arrived after the grace period. Even though I had a text from EWC in reply to my check in text before the grace period ended, my appointment was canceled. When I spoke with the manager, she focused on referring me to other EWC rather than addressing the issue with the lag time in the new check in process. I sat outside for several minutes with a Youve been checked in text only to be turned away. I love the wax service but the customer service is super frustrating and has me honestly looking elsewhere!

I had an appointment for my first time at this location on Thursday and as I walked in they did not great me and told me to step out as fast as I walked in like I were contagious they all spoke and didn’t need to do all that because I weren’t aware of how to sign in on the door instructions the wax lady was late and cancelled my appointment because she was behind and I was there and the said they had a nine min grace period and I didn’t sign in on time because they have all these crazy sign in instructions it didn’t make since to me because she was wasn’t even ready to wax me they had me waiting outside for ten mins to tell me they couldn’t service me because the lady after me came in and she was two appointments late the reception ladies were very rude and mean with attitudes u can’t even use the bathroom and the act like you have corona when u walk in and make you fill like your nothing to them and your spending your hard earned money they need better customer service here so now I’m going to continue to go to the laurel and Columbia location instead

I had a great experience as a first time below the belt waxer. Nicole (I believe) explained the process, gave great suggestions and was very patient. Receptionist was super sweet and accommodating considering I was running a bit late. I am very satisfied with my experience and results, and I will be returning.

I have been coming to this location for a year now but as of late I have been very disappointed with the customer service and lack of professionalism. I had an appointment yesterday. I came followed the text instructions but the EWC text messaging system was not working. I then proceeded to call. The front desk associate left me on hold for 7-8mins. If you go to EWC you know there is a 5 min grace period. I finally get off hold and explain to her what’s happening. Instead of trying to rectify the situation she then tells me my appointment has been cancelled and that I have to reschedule for another day. Crazy. I am pregnant and this was a major inconvenience. I drove here to not be seen and was told I had to reschedule because of errors on your (EWC) end. But wait it gets better. I rescheduled for today. I arrive at 9:44 for my 945. Walk in give them my name. & complete the instructions. My appointment time passes. It is now 9:52. This means the 5 min grace period has passed but I still haven’t been called in. I then send another text message letting them know that “I’ve been waiting. Yesterday my appt was cancelled because of this. When will my specialist be ready?” A front desk associate calls me well after my appt to let me know my specialist was late and she is 2 people behind. If I would’ve never said anything. I would’ve never known. She then tells me well you can wait or reschedule. I have an ultrasound for my child today that was scheduled previously. So once again I was not able to be seen. It is currently 10:12am on Thursday 07/30. Whichever two women are working this shift need to be spoken with about providing better service or upper management needs to put better policies in place. This has been a major inconvenience and is unacceptable. This is no way to treat a loyal customer. I was not offered any discount or incentive just “I’m sorry” over and over.

Very professional, friendly and welcoming staff. Everything is sanitary also. I been going to Mia for about 4-5 months now for my full bikini wax and I love it. Havent shaved since. Shes very friendly, professional and makes sure your comfortable. I would definitely recommend her & the location in general. I always leave pleased.

I’m a bit annoyed. I set an appointment, they called me the day of to say my waxer was out. I rescheduled with another waxer and I was 10 mins late, so they cancelled my appointment. I understand the late policy HOWEVER, I have waited for my appointment when the previous person before me was late. They’re inconsistent!

This has everything to do with customer service. I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday and without warning, phone call, email, or reasonable accommodation my appointment is cancelled. Of course I don’t learn this until I arrive for my appointment. No apologizes. No discount offered. The reason given is the staff member quit and they were full. I made my appointment an entire month in advance professionalism and good customer service says to accommodate me since this was not my fault. They reschedule for the next day at 630. There is no confirmation email or text and no information except a verbal confirmation. I express my concern and they respond that it will be fine. I arrive at 627 only to be told my appointment was actually at 615. I express my discontent and the lobby is empty and I was scheduled for a 30 minute appointment. I explain to the receptionist what happened the day before and she offers to schedule me for tomorrow. No ma’am my appointment was yesterday. I was frequently and my appointments take typically 10-15 minutes. Because of their faux pas on both occasions I should have been accommodated. This is highly unprofessional and If I could I’d give them negative 5 stars for their customer service.

Everyone that works here is pretty nice from what Ive experienced. Also, EWC overall is great because if you get the package, you can use it at any location, not just one.

This place is so ghetto lol...so far there are 2 wax specialists who do a great job, but the way this location is managed is sub par compared to other locations nearby. Ive gone to 5 or 6 locations in the Maryland/Northern Virginia area over the last 6 years, and visited this one periodically when I needed to book a last minute appointment and my preferred locations didnt have availability. This location is nowhere near as professional in their customer service as the others, and my experience is always the same.Ive had appointments unexpectedly cancelled multiple times, the receptionists are often rude, and I have repeatedly been left on hold for 15 minutes or more. In fact, on at least 2 occasions Ive waited on hold for 30 minutes, then called on my other line out of curiosity to see what would happen (they answered the second call immediately, both times with an attitude and without apologizing). Another time a receptionist asked me to hold and then hung up on me, and when I arrived and asked her why, she said it was busy and she was the only one there. EWCs business model makes it difficult for wax specialists to succeed and for customers to be completely satisfied in general, but this one is particularly bad.

1st time and last. Fantah did a horrible job. I could have just used Nair and got the same results. Also, received a complimentary eyebrow wax. Im mad at myself for allowing her without pictures of her work to wax my brows. I now have to shade in and use concealer to fix my brow.

They are not first time wax friendly at all. The woman working with me told me I needed to stop yelling before I scared her other customers and that I needed to hurry up so I dont go over the allotted 15 minutes. Not a warm and comforting welcome for someone getting a wax for the first time. I will never go back there.

Need to provide better customer service. Waxers are good, but the lack of communication when a waxer is running behind and cancellations where there is no compensation or accommodation to the client is unacceptable! How you treat your customers matter. I have been to other locations and do not experience this. I will never return to this location.

I have spent hundreds of dollars at this particular location and whereas my actual waxer Fanta is super awesome , the receptionist needs major work . First off when i call , she asked if she can place me on hold and before she could finish her statement i was listening to promotions . I was on hold for 7+ min . I hung up and called back and Sharnice i believe her name is answered and did the same thing . Ask if she can place me on hold and before she could end her sentence i was on hold . I called back a third time and it was the same girl , before she can ask i said please have the decency to let me answer if i can hold .My appointment was in 10min and i needed to cancel . Her reply was i still have to put you on hold , and that she did . It was very rude . This company makes enough money to have proper staffing at the reception desk on a Friday afternoon . If people are going to have to wait 10+min to get someone on the line the least the receptionist can do is be pleasant . After that experience i am really contemplating on taking my needs elsewhere . Poor receptionist etiquette !!!!!!

I went to get a wax today and I asked one of the wax specialist if she could tweeze the hair that she missed and she told me to come back for a touch up because she didn’t have time. I found that very alarming because that was hair that she missed while she was giving me a wax. I think it’s very inconsiderate that I have to come back for a touch up for something that takes less than a minute to fix. Definitely don’t recommend Kadijah. FYI, she missed A LOT of hair.

I went in there for my first wax and was really nervous but Chelsea at the front desk made me feel very comfortable and even a little excited. My waxer Sonia was great and I ended up purchasing a wax pass and I can’t wait to go back and get another wax!

Went to EWC for the new customer free wax. Pretty standard wax facility. Clean. Both the ladies at the front desk and the rep who performed the wax were pleasant and provided recommendations on how to make my wax last as well as skin care. Bought the serum treatment and will review after a few weeks.

Few months ago on a Sunday I was able to get a very nice thorough full Brazilian bikini wax from Neacia. I was extremely satisfied and felt such amazing confidence after (not to mention my husband loved it). I highly reccomend this location, as all the staff I met were very kind. Of course I highly reccomend Neacia also. Hopefully see you all again soon.

When I say I Love this place!!! From the first wax I received at the Durham location in 2013, there was no turning back! I’m always overly satisfied with my results, and the customer service. The front desk staff is amazing, always so welcoming and pleasant upon entering the building. Sharneece is the best, Top 10 customer service I’ve ever received and she bilingual. How awesome is that! Sreya is my savior. I always feel so Gorgeous leaving, and in between appointments when using the recommended products such as: body polish, ingrown hair serum, and wipes ! Sreya’s personality is so adorable! Conversation throughout the process makes it a smooth one. And if our schedules don’t align Sonya the Sweetheart gets the job done as well!

I have been a European Wax Center customer for about 3-4 years now. I do not regularly book with one person. I rather take a gamble and go to different waxers. I have absolutely never had a problem with the College Park location. All the waxers are friendly and attentive to my concerns and needs. Nevertheless, I went to my scheduled appointment yesterday (July 11, 2019) and was seen earlier then my scheduled time because the previous person did not show up. My waxer was Vanessa. Vanessa was AWESOME! Honestly, it did not even feel like I was getting a wax. She was very gentle. I told her prior to me laying down that I was still feeling the effects of an Upper Respiratory Infection, so my ribs are sore from coughing. Therefore, if I cannot do a certain movement for my wax please understand. Ultimately, Vanessa was patient and she did not rush through the wax. This is truly, the first time a waxer was able to get just about all of my hair up without tweezing. Moving forward, Vanessa told me some items to invest in and how many days to use the exfoliating scrubs. If you are a first time waxer or have had bad experiences in the past. I am more than positive Vanessa can change your experience for the better.!!!Additionally, as far as the customer service is concerned, I have never had a problem with any of the representatives. They were always professional and nice. Furthermore, I always hear the representatives call people who are running late or that did not show up.Thank you European Wax Center!

I will never come back this location. I always wax only with EWC for 2 years. I don’t like the way the front dask woman treated customers. I made an appointment last one month ago. On my appointment day, I went there before 15 minutes my appointment time. She said my appointment is cancelled because my specialist is not available and she tried to call me to reschedule but I didn’t receive any phone called. It’s not 1st time happened to me. This is my second time they cancelled my appointment. I’ll never go that location again.

Ive been twice and each time my experience was subpar. Everyone is friendly and that’s great and all but I value quality of the work over everything else. I’ve gotten brazilians and the first time i was given a newbie waxer who missed a LOT of hairs. The second time was someone who was slightly better but still missed a lot of hairs.Save your time and money and go to their Bethesda location!!!

I only visited this place once. I went in for a Brazilian and left unsatisfied. The waxer was friendly but she missed hairs like a patch I couldn’t reach and I noticed when I got home. I had made an appointment to go back but he receptionist called my cellphone I say that they had to cancel my appointment cause the waxer assigned to me didn’t come in to work. She never once asked me would I like to try another waxer or anything to keep my appointment. So I definitely won’t be going back there. I need a location that is passionate about what they do not some half ass shop like this.

Don’t go here. The receptionist is rude. If you are late like only by 5 mins. They punish you and make someone else replace your appointment right in front of everyone and make you wait longer. The receptionist acted like she didn’t even want to be there. Poor customer service.

Use this company frequently in my home state but this was my first experience at this location as i was out of town and needed a wax. I was super annoyed and nervous as i dont like everybody and they momma in between the seams! However, Shaniece: AMAZING!! Brazilian was clean, detailed and as pain free as possible. She cares about the results of the service she provides. She has a great personality and very knowledgeable about different strokes for different folks! Ive been getting brazilians for a while and she was my best waxer yet. I would definitely visit this location again, only to get waxed by her!

Have not yet been to this location yet so I do really have a comment about the actual waxing service but I will say the front desk customer service needs some work. I was on hold to make an appointment for 30 mins i even hung up and called back 15 mins later and was on hold again for another 20 mins. I have yet to make an appointment still because the hold is just way to long if you cant service the customer then just dont pick up at that moment being on hold and having to listen to the ads and music gets really annoying
