My teenage son had been sick for a few days and was feeling very anxious. The staff was fast, efficient and kind. The Physicians Assistant was very thorough, ran a full work up to help answer all of his questions and he left with peace of mind. Everyone was very supportive and understanding of his anxiety.

THE NAME OF THIS CLINIC IS 110% MISLEADING. WHEN YOU CALL ALL YOU HEAR THEM SAY IS CLINTON URGENT CARE WHICH IS FALSE! THIS IS NOT CLINTON URGENT CARE THIS IS MERCY ONE URGENT CARE. CLINTON URGENT CARE IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LOCATION THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOR 20YEARS. PLEASE BE SURE WHEN WRITING REVIEWS THAT YOU ARE GETTING THE CORRECT LOCATION AS THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AND NOT AFFILIATED WITH EACH OTHER WHAT SO EVER.

I get that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all sick patients are being directed to urgent care but they seriously need a better system in place. This calling in after you arrive is total bs and when your call gets disconnected you have to move back to the beginning of the line even if you were there the longest.

Quite a few issues here. They make you call the front desk before you go in. No biggie. Covid and all. I called and spoke to 4-5 different women. None of them seemed to be in sync with one another. I was on hold several times, finally I got a woman who told me to go ahead and come on in through the front doors (I WAS VERY CLEAR THAT I WAS THERE FOR A PRECAUTIONARY COVID SCREENING). I confirmed with her that I could, indeed, walk through the front doors. I could hear her ask another person in the background if that’s what I could do and they both said, “Yes go ahead and come on in” (my fiancé who was sitting right next to me heard this as well). When I walked in, I stood back while a woman at the front desk dealt with another patient. Another front desk lady noticed me standing there and asked if I had been helped, I said no and that I had been standing back to social distance and give the other patient space. She called me forward, said she could help me and when I told her what I was there for, she looked at me like I was a leper and said, “You need to go back outside and call the number!” I stated I had, to which I she interrupted me (as they all did all of the times I had previously spoke on the phone with them) to tell me I needed to go outside. I told her the woman on the phone told me to come in, and her response was, “I don’t know who told you that but you need to leave and call the number!” This was loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear. Not only is that incredibly embarrassing but it’s completely unprofessional. I didn’t get her name, but to be honest none of the people there EXCEPT the woman at the actual testing area and the PA were at all polite. They were incredibly rude and honestly. I don’t care if you’re busy or you’re having a bad day or what have you. There’s no excuse to treat people as non-humans, pandemic or otherwise. I went through so much hassle with this place before I even arrived (AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME). At one point I was even informed they don’t even DO covid testing (not true). Overall, I think some people simply aren’t suited to work in healthcare if they cannot be compassionate.

Refused treatment by Polly the recepionist. History of high blood pressure, just returned from flight thru DIA and ORD, have been Covid tested and they refused to see me. I have NEVER been talked to so rudely. Side note, I have excellent insurance and even offered to pay cash. They would not even discuss it. NO was tbe answer. Get a primary care doc. I have one....1000 miles away. Just relocated. My advice, avoid MercyOne at all costs.

Never solve any of my health problems or of my daughters. The wait is long, they see you in a rash and then they tell that they can do nothing for you, that you should continue taking Tylenol. Or, if you do have a problem that they think it may need immediate care, they send you to the ER or call 911 for you.Dont waste your insurance money on this place.

These people refused to see a child because she has illinois medicaid. They stated if she did not have a primary doctor at medical associates they would not see her. Funny thing is medical associates has said they will not see her because she has illinois medicaid.

I went to the urgent care in the morning with Flu like symptoms, but I was ill for about 3 weeks. My friends and family insisted that I go to the doctor, so I tried urgent care. After waiting about an hour with an appointment I finally saw a NP. I was given some tests and she told me that she was convinced I had a spinal infection and they need a spinal tap to know for sure. I said, No, I have the flu and I am going home to get some rest. Then they pulled my wife aside privately and told her that I wasnt thinking clearly because of this infection and I needed to go to the emergency room immediately. Again, I refused. They then said that they couldnt let me leave in this condition and said that I could drive myself or they would call an ambulance. At this point it was an argument, my wife was crying, everyone was shouting. I reluctantly said, fine I will go to the ER.I went to the ER and explained my flu like symptoms. I said I wanted to get some rest but the urgent care NP insisted I come here for a spinal tap. They said, ok, let us run some tests. For about 3 or 4 hours I was poked and prodded. I was given an IV of fluids about 3 bags. Finally it was my turn to see the doctor. He said, we think you have the flu. I said, what about the spinal tap? He laughed and said, what? I said at urgent care they insisted I come here and get a spinal tap. He said what are you talking about? Then he said do you have any stiffness in your neck? I said no. He said can you move your head in a circle? I said yes, absolutely. He just shrugged and said you dont have a spinal infection. He angrily said those guys out there have no idea what they are doing! He said you need to get some rest and get some fluids, and you are very dehydrated. So I figured between my urgent care bill (which I still had to pay) and my ER visit I spent around $4,000 to find out I needed some more rest.So when anyone says something about Urgent Care I tell them my horror story. I was paying for my mistake of going to Urgent care for over a year. I dont blame the ER, but I wished the DR would have talked to me when I got there so I could have save a ton of money. The bulk of the bill was ER and they said there was nothing I could do. I filled out some hardship paperwork that said they could help with some of the bill, so I am not sure if the bill I paid was reduced or what.I have got nothing against NPs, I am sure there are good and bad NPs just like MDs. I would say if you feel uncomfortable get the heck out of there and go to a DR or NP you can trust. I might try it again since my Aunt loves them, hard to get over my horrible experience which cost me my families spending money for an entire year! For now when someone says Urgent Care, my stomach clenches up and I want to plead with them to go someplace else... anyplace else!

Every time weve been there weve been well treated. Not only that but they very quickly diagnosed my wifes problem with a blood test. Then put her on medication to solve the problem.Did the same for me at another point in time. And the wait was a lot less than my doctors office.

I called and let them know that my girlfriend had the same bug my family had earlier in the week and was severely dehydrated and needed IV fluids... we drove from Dewitt only to be told they can diagnose her and then send her to the ER for fluids!!! We just drove 25 mins with a bucket just to have to turn around and drove back to the Dewitt ER... they were obviously just trying to milk money out of us!!!Crooked money hungry company that doesnt care about people!
