Dr. Bushrod was very patient and kind. Usually doctors leave you in the hands of the nurse after they check you. she took my husband and I in her office, sat us down and explained everything. This is my second pregnancy, my first doctor was no where as professional as Dr. Bushrod.

Same as Kristens review. At 19 I delivered at 33 weeks because Dr Bushrod wouldn’t listen to me when I told her I was having contractions for weeks before this. Walked into the hospital at 933 pm dilated at 10 cm after I had called her at 850 pm and she told me to put my feet up and take Tylenol. My aunt convinced her Tylenol was not going to help me and we went straight to the hospital where I delivered my 4 lb daughter at 12:15 am- all because she would not listen to me. Wish I would have known better like Kristen. All of my other children were with a different OB and much better delivery dates. All healthy babies ( so is my preemie- now but was terrifying and awful at the time). Dr Bushrod is very dismissive. And incorrect to boot.

They helped my daughter with all her needs and accommodated her schedule when she was home from school.

Seek a second opinion if you are unsure about Dr. Bushrods diagnosis/recommendations. At 20 weeks pregnant I started to experience contractions that were 1-2 minutes apart at times. The contractions were so bad that I could not sleep at night and could barely function at work. She refused to put me on bed rest and would not prescribe any medication to stop my contractions. She told me Mother Nature does not always work out the way we would like. Luckily, I sought a second opinion from a different OBGYN and was immediately prescribed medication. My new doctor recognized that intense contractions at only 20 weeks were dangerous and treatable. At my first appointment with the new OBGYN she prescribed medication that instantly stopped the contractions. The new OBGYN was concerned and contacted a high risk specialist that monitored the remainder of my pregnancy along with her. I am convinced seeking a second opinion and leaving Dr. Bushrods care saved my childs life.
