I have been a client of this salon and Cindy Jahn for many years and there is absolutely no one as skilled or knowledgeable about hair as Cindy. I highly recommend Abstract. Cindy is an artist and is so precise in her cuts and color.

Cindy, Jordan and Lizzie were the best! My mother was in town for surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and they squeezed her in just before closing. My mother was thrilled with her cut and style and can now have a simple and easy look that works with the physical limitations after open heart surgery during healing. They also worked with her to donate the length removed for cancer patient wigs. Awesome people, awesome place.

I feel this deserves another positive comment. very awesome.======I just got the best cut Ive ever had in Cleveland. Nicole took her time and did a fantastic job on my quite unruly hair. The place and all the people were super nice, and two of the most adorable little pooches. They also put up with my nonstop prattling with grace :).Great place, cool people.

I picked this location from previous reviews and their stated covid policies. I was really impressed. Every stated policy was followed and I felt perfectly protected. Cindy gave me an excellent haircut after consulting with me on my likes and dislikes. I will return.

Jordan has been doing my hair for almost two years, and I have always been very satisfied. Jordan’s expertise, personality, attention to detail, and superior sanitation practices have made me feel comfortable and beautiful each time I come to Abstract. You will want to book her well in advance since the schedule of a cosmetologist this good fills up quickly; however, Jordan goes the extra mile to give you the look you want each time. You won’t be disappointed!

I was suggested to go to Ryan for my haircut. She is the best. I really like the cut. On top of that sh styled it and I almost have never seen my hair this pretty. Highly recommended!

Severely disappointed with my experience with Jordan. I’m new to Cleveland and decided to try abstract after reading reviews. I came in to cut 8in off my hair which we found I could donate 8in, she “eye-balled” this and didn’t use a ruler. Needless to say my hair is much much shorter than I wanted with her taking >11in off my hair. She soaked my shirt through with the wash, and then they told me to leave with wet hair even though I booked a wash, cut, and style. Letting people leave with wet hair is not something I have ever encountered getting my hair cut. She then blamed whoever booked my haircut for not booking a blow dry on top of it, and had some other stylist dry my hair. She did not sterilize her combs in between, just so disappointing and terrible after waiting so long to get a haircut. Good news with this super short hair I won’t have to get one for a while. I won’t be going back.

Have been getting my hair cut and balayage colored by Jordan DiFranco for about a year now. She is so talented and such a great listener! Every time I come in with a new request, she delivers everything I wanted and more! She is so sweet and easy to talk to as well. I just cannot say enough good things! Book an appointment with her-you wont regret it!Also, I wanted to note that Abstract is really taking social distancing, mask wearing, and sanitizing seriously. I was going there pre-pandemic and it was amazing to see how they changed the way they do things to keep themselves and their clients safe. They called me on my cell to come into the salon when they were ready for my appointment time (to ensure only a few clients were inside at a time) and took my temperature as soon as I walked in. They are doing it right!

Booked an appointment 1:30 pm. I arrived 1:20 pm and was waiting for 35 minutes for the stylist to finish her work with the previous customer. I left 1:55pm to pick up something from the grocery and then received a call from them that they are ready so I told them I will be there in 15 minutes but they said they cannot because they have another person appointment 2:30 pm. Very rude and I was mistaken to choose a place who doesn’t respect customer time.

Ive been in Cleveland for just over a year and would always go back to my hometown to get my hair cut by my regular barber. That just got to be too much traveling and Abstract was suggested to me. They have wonderful, professional, and accommodating stylists! The establishment is clean with a very fun and accepting vibe. I couldnt be happier with the cut Jordan did, and after checking out her page (hairbyjordifranco on Instagram!) I was blown away by the color and styling she does, as well as the other stylists work! We just visited this salon on Friday for my wedding and it was more than perfect. Ryan is the main stylist I see, but all of the women are so talented and passionate that all are are great to work with! We came in and it was a chilly, rainy day. They had fresh hot coffee and pumpkin spice creamer waiting for us, which was just so thoughtful.The whole process of utilizing this salon for our wedding was ideal. From having amazingly fun hair trials to the big day itself, every experience was flawless. Our hair was so beautiful and unique for each one of us. The pricing at this salon is fantastic as well. For being a Paul Mitchell salon with high end stylists, I could not believe how reasonable the final bill was. Brides - seriously check this place out. Not only was this salon for my big day, but I only trust these ladies for my regular services as well. Thank you so much for being so great!

Let me start by saying im VERY picky on who touches my hair! I have always gone to a Barber for a specific dapper style hair cut. When I decided to go to a stylist I was unsure if she would be able to accomplish what I wanted (stereotyped). When I showed Ryan what I wanted and how I wanted the top and the separation line she was on it and seemed excited to show me her amazing skills. Im a fabricator by trade and analyze my moves because of my OCD lol. When she told me she wanted to look at it from every angle it reminded me of how am, and so I relaxed and let her do her thing. After she was done and I looked at it in amazement. I couldnt believe how dead on she was. With all that said I will NEVER go to a barber again! Abstract-A hair salon & Ryan herself will be my go to for the rest or my cuts and styles. 2nd to none in my book!! The employees and 4 little pups are amazing! Keep up the stellar work ladies!

Yuri is an angel. Shes very busy and will take on clients along with you, but you will be constantly watched and taken care. Shes brilliant and Im so happy with my color. I walked in with a boring/damaged/ugly ombre, but Yuri brought my hair back to life. She knew what to do and fixed it! My hair is beautifully highlighted, toned and softer. Thank you Yuri!!!

Nicole was great and gave me a really cute hair cut. The other girls in the Solon are friendly and fun to laugh with. I highly recommend this Solon based on price and service.

I have been a regular at Abstract since 2013 when I first moved to the area. As a local student, I have found Abstract to be very convenient with reasonable prices (there’s even a student discount). I have always felt very welcome, well taken care of (the coffee and snacks are great!) and have loved the environment and staff. As for a specific stylist, Nichole has been cutting, dying, and styling my hair since my first appointment in 2013. I change my hair often and she has continuously impressed me with her ability to cut all styles — from long, to medium, and now to a pixie! I’ve had her do an ombré on my brunette hair when it was long that turned out awesome. She recently took my hair to a platinum blonde (with a light lavender shampoo wash) and I’ve received SO many compliments! I can bring her in a picture of what I’m looking for and she can turn it into reality. She has also given me several excellent manicures. Nichole (and the other staff) make great conversation, are friendly and helpful, and have excellent opinions. I will be sad to be leaving Cleveland this summer, but when I visit, I’ll be sure to schedule my appointment with her! (:

I am very difficult and hard to please! I either dont communicate what I want correctly or people dont know how/or dont want to do what I am asking for. Not Nicole! She nails it! Now instead of me asking on the street where get their hair done, searching for that perfect hi/lo chunky contrasted combo, they ask me:) Yay, Nicole rocks. Dakota, Cindy and Ryan are awesome as well.

I had an appointment scheduled with Nicole on 24th of May at 10.30am as a new clent .I had called several werks ahead of time to schedule this appointment as she was going to be out.I waited excitedly as I had heard great reviews anout this place.24th came and went. No reminders before the appointment ; no explanations after leaving two voicemails as to why I was given an am appointment on a day when the salon was going to be closed until noon.No apologies whatsoever; this is the height of unprofessionalism!!!. And the worst thing is no one ever answers the phone when you call and it always goes to VM.

Its always a great time whenever I get to stop in for an appointment! Ryan is the absolute best.
