1st impressions still mean a lot to me. I called to enquire about getting an eye exam. Dusty (or Dustin) put me on hold, gets back on - says hello. I respond with how are you doing. He pauses, doesnt say a word and hangs up the phone. I called back, his counterpart (Heather I think) picks up, I explain to her what happened, she confirms my number twice and offers to help. I asked for him and he was on another call. Seems like theyre plenty busy - Ill find somewhere else to go.

They were so kind and patient with my scared 9yo. Explaining the different machines and procedures. Answering her many questions and being reassuring. Not getting frustrated as she worked through her emotions. Absolutely the kind of people I want taking care of my kids physical and mental well-being.

It took a little longer than I had hoped to get an appointment for my daughter but all of the logistics of the actual appointment when it was time were very easy and not difficult in terms of using insurance.The tech, Dennis, that helped with my daughters appointment was really really great. He was super patient and had a great demeanor. My daughter didnt like the process of getting the drops for her eyes to be dilated but Dennis was very reassuring and patient. He also helped us pick out glasses. She wanted particular styles and colors and he took the time to pull out all kinds of frames that were not even on display. He gave advice on what kinds of features and frames would be good for a young child and more importantly WHY we might want to take those features into consideration.The prices for glasses are too high but that is to be expected because of the Luxottica monopoly situation the industry has going on. There were some frames that are only available for one particular insurance, they do not even have a normal sale price which is a little frustrating.

Ive been a patient at this location for 3 years. Dr. Patel has been a great doctor, however, my last experience with front desk receptionist at my last visit will be the last time we go to this location.The front desk receptionist was very rude with me because the answering service did not notify her of the appointment. She then began to get annoyed that they made the appointment and the location did not accept my insurance. I told her I was having issues and that I still wanted to see the doctor, but she told me they dont take the insurance and the appointment should not have been made.Its too bad the office staff does not have better people-skills because the Dr. Patel is great. I would not recommend this location unless you dont mind dealing the rudeness at the front desk.

From the second I walked in the office I knew I was in the right place. Like most people Ive spent too many hours in waiting rooms, once I completed my paper work I was taken back to a exam and within minutes I was in front the Dr.Dr Tai actually cared, she took the time to explain what she was doing and why. She called after hours to make sure I was able to pick up my scripts and again asked if I had questionsShe has a sense of humor and a credit to her profession, its nice to know theres still Drs out there that put their patients over the bottom line

The Optometrist is very thorough and professional. She was very patient and answered any questions I had. She is five star ****. The loss of one star was the ordeal of ordering glasses. The young man who helped me quoted me a ridiculous price and seemed like I was bothering him to try and get the pricedown. Fortunately I was able to deal with another young man wearing a beard who was extremely helpful. He got some glasses ordered for me at a reasonable price that I liked. I would like to mention another outstanding employee -the technician who works with the Optometrist .

I had a great experience. The front desk was so friendly and helpful. Dennis the tech explained to me in detail about the retina photo. I had never had an eye doctor offer this too me. Dr. Patel had great communication.

Going into the 7th week post appointment and still have no glasses. I called after 1 month and was told my insurance usually takes about a month!? Now its almost 2 months and still dont have any glasses. I also want to mention that we were fitting my daughter for contacts but needed a class to teach her how to use them, so we schedule the class at a time when my daughter was available... but come time for the appointment, the receptionist (who scheduled the appointment!) had no idea why she was there and apparently didnt even write it on the schedule and the guy who does the class wasnt even there! What a waste of time. Not impressed with this office at all. Giving 2 stars only because the person I just spoke with on the phone was very nice and apologetic. Unfortunately, apologies do not make the glasses arrive any faster.

Dr. Patel is personable and has very good patient manners. The technician that does the first part of the exam is always very pleasant as well.. I will not go to this location anymore because the front desk receptionist person is not welcoming or kind. Standoff-ish when answering questions and does not seem to have a solution oriented mindset.

I am an 18 year old that just got my health insurance back, its not the best but i thought I was in luck finding this place in clermont FL that took my health insurance! I made an appointment, they took down my information and said it was medically urgent, making my appointment only two days after it was scheduled. The place was an hour away and i drove down. There was traffic and the building layouts were confusing but I made it exactly 20 mins after my appointment. I apologized but they refused to take me. I explained the situation and drive, and they still refused. I can understand the refusal but I was only greeted with mean attitude and dismissal. It was very unprofessional from the lady at the front desk, and she wouldnt let me speak with anyone else despite this much needed appointment for my chalazion. I called back asking for her name, she didnt want to give it to me at all at first but I was finally able to get her to tell me it was Tam. This has been a terrible experience, and im hoping to get more luck just going to the ER. They clearly dont care about their patients, especially not that receptionist. I had my hopes up in finally getting help for my destroyed eye/eyelid, thanks for nothing:(.

I dont even know where to being I had the best experience at this location all the staff was great and the manager Dakota was so polite and well educated on the different style frames to best fit me. It was the best experience I have ever had at a eye doctor. I was in and out in no time! It was all around a pleasant visit to be able to go in and not have to wait for anything. It all just was amazing I will never go to any other location other than the clearmont location!

I usually dont leave reviews because a lot of my friends are business owners and I dont like hurting businesses but this is by far one of the most absurd ridiculous unprofessional places Ive ever had the unfortunate luck of dealing with. I turned a pair of glasses in that were (had a broken arm on them). I was told I would get them back in two weeks, it was two and a half months ago. Ive been called three times in the last four weeks with the same excuse that my glasses didnt pass inspection and that there redoing them in the lab. So does that mean that everybody doesnt get their glasses from this place for two-and-a-half months? I have six people in my family and I have taking them all there. No longer for sure!! I have recently found a different eyeglass place in Clermont way more professional way more efficient and actually do what they say theyre going to. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to get anything from this place!!!

Terrible experience, very dismissive doctor and staff. In short, I had an issue with my eye that was concerning and decided to make an appointment with any office that would see me same day. I found they had an opening at 5:15p and made the appointment. I didnt mind it was an hour from my house, because the visit would either identify an issue(and solution) or put my mind at ease.I get there for the appointment only to be told the doctor canceled my appointment and they tried to reach me. I didnt have a missed call, voicemail or text message, she told me they sent me an email! Who does that?! The reason is because the doctor decided my issue was not serious based on the notes provided by the appointment setter. Why wouldnt they give me the courtesy of a phone call? To speak with me so I had the opportunity to personally explain what was happening and then make that determination? I drove an hour to get there! The doctor and front desk staff need additional training in customer service!There are other options to choose from for eye care stay away from Dr. Patel.

Completely Disappointed. Switched here due to change in insurance and needing to find an in network dr. The DR was nice but my son and I were fitted in one of the most expensive contact lenses I’ve ever worn and turns out that the style We were fit in was not even a covered product thru my insurance. 9 months later I receive a bill for our contact lens exams stating that it is not covered due to the contact lenses chosen are not on the approved list thru insurance. I was told at the office when deciding how to use my benefit that I would come out much better using it towards the glasses instead of the lenses, well now I know why, they were never covered in the first place. I should have been told that this style of contact was not on the approved contact list thru my insurance and honestly I should have never been fit in it! I have never had a problem in the past 30 years with any other optometry office billing insurance and selecting covered products for us before. Going forward I will make sure I understand completely my benefit and will print out the hundreds of contact brands and styles insurance will cover even though I have never had to do this before. Be careful going here as I feel that it is more about the cost of the products than what patient insurance will and does cover. We will not be back.

I scheduled an appointment with MYEYEDR in Clermont FL. I showed up today for my 9am appt and the receptionist tells me she has tried to reach me (I have NO missed calls and absolutely no Voicemails) from this office. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I’ve had this appointment scheduled for over a month because my son needs a new exam and we wasted over an hour driving to and from. I talked to the office manager and no success on fixing this situation. I was told I could be rescheduled for Dec! No thanks I will be taking my business elsewhere and won’t ever use this office again.

Update:Unfortunately, had to edit to add Ive called twice in the last week for my eyeglass prescription to be faxed and have yet to receive it.I had no problems here whatsoever, wait wasnt long and the staff was friendly. My contacts arrived quickly also. The only thing is I got my daughter the exact same contacts at Optical Outlet and they were much cheaper there without insurance as opposed to here with insurance.-Christina Avery

They are super great. I lost a contact on my last day of vacation. They saw me right away, explained how my,insurance works and have sent my glasses to Texas for me. They were great in picking out glasses because I have refused to wear them for years. I think her name is Karen, she was so nice and I loved her. The ladies at the,desk were also great. And they didnt lie about shooting the air in my eyes even though that meant it,took like 20 minutes and 2 people to do it. Love them, wish they were in Texas

Appointments for a family of 4 scheduled 15 min apart. First apt was scheduled for 9 when they opened. It was 20 min late. And that is how the rest of the day will go for all future patients. Extra note they double booked the 9 am appointment. At this rate out scheduled hour will take over 2 hours.update. 1 hour and 55 min and at the end is a lady at the back desk on the showroom floor on an obvious personal phone call.

I have been going to my eye doctor in Haines city And I loved it there but I move to Clermont so I went to the Clermont location and I will never return to this location, there attitude and they had the wrong insurance information when I already had given her my insurance card and blamed me for her mistake cuz she didn’t do her job correctly and I wanted to get contact lenses and the blonde lady was very rude to me telling me she has been there for 20 something years that she knew better than me and didn’t let me choose what I really wanted and that’s the reason why I haven’t even bothered to go get my eyeglasses.

Ive been going to MyEyeDr. in Clermont for four years now, and I think the doctors and technicians are great. They get me in and out quickly, and they are kind. However, I only gave 3 stars because of one of the female optitians. My family and I started ordering our glasses online two years ago because it is significantly cheaper, and this particular optition is rude because we do not order through her. She is abrasive in her speech and treats us poorly when we request the measurements to order glasses online. The receptionist asked her to do my measurements at the last visit, and she angrily told the receptionist, well, hes gonna have to sign the waiver! (that states they arent responsible for glasses not ordered through them). Then I had to face a bunch of questions from her about why I wasnt buying my glasses from them. I might not return to this location because of her attitude.

Dr. Patel is fantastic, she did a thorough and comprehensive exam. She also took the time to answer any questions that I had and never came across as being rushed. The office staff was hit and miss, some of them were very friendly and others come across as indifferent and cold. The only real problem I had was with the purchase of the eye glasses. I found Navin to be unknowledgeable and unhelpful. I told him what I was looking for several times and he still continued trying to up sell me on things that I didnt need nor want. I left feeling that he was not looking out for my best interests as a customer but simply trying to make a sale. I also found the selection of eyeglasses to be lacking.

Representative was not very helpful, I would say maybe overwhelmed. I was planning to schedule other appointments with them for my family but I wont come back or recommend them.
