They literally saved my life! My prescription expired & I needed a new one right away due to my epilepsy. They were able to renew my prescription in less than 24 hours & I’m so thankful for that! I don’t want to go to another doctor! This is new my home ❤️

Dr Palanca is a caring and concerned physician. He listens to what you are saying and considers all the possibilities. The office staff does a great job too. Jasmine can usually get you an appointment in a timely manner and Laura is a very knowledgeable PA and is prompt and efficient about getting your prescriptions to you!

Dr. Polanca Is the best primary physician, very detailed and professional. He really cares a lot about my health! Doreen is awesome too helping me get my MMU all good! I highly recommend especially for primary care and medical marijuana doctor.

Staff NOT including JASMINE (horrible mannerisms and rude. she could care LESS about you. ), the woman who answers the phone- all other triage and staff are helpful and pleasant. I was a patient for a few years and fully switched over with confidence this office could do GOOD things. Doreen shortly fell off from speaking to me and or acknowledging my presence in the office. Dr. Palanca is very intelligent and have no issue with him because he is rarely there.. Not worth wasting your $ and time to have someone HANG UP on you after you cancelled an appointment BECAUSE your staff refused to read images and or assist after a visit in the hospital. They have caller ID and will try and charge you for MISC amounts when you come in AND dont submit things properly to your insurance. Thank you, but NO thank you. Didnt expect to hear back from any of you, ( because they never reach out, EVER ) so please dont bother. Good Luck.

This is the first time that I have had doctor visit that I actually saw the doctor and who actually took time to talk to me (45 minutes).Dr. Palanca took time to not only identify my health problems but to get to know me.The staff is amazing from Doreen the office manager to Laura the nurse practitioner. Laura, just like the doctor takes the time to address what ever is going on with the same kindness and professionalism.I was in the medical industry for 14 years with home health and subacute centers in a 5 county area in Tampa Bay area.I had a physician in St Pete telling me that if he didnt see a patient every 6 minutes he couldnt keep his practice open.As we coordinated high acuity patients from hospitals and subacute facilities with home health care, it was not uncommon to hear the patients say that they hadnt seen their doctor in the past year.Why have gone into so much detail about Dr Palanca, its because I couldnt get an appointment with a doctor without waiting for 3-6 months.Doreen the OM scheduled an appointment for me the next week and Dr P stayed late to take care of me.George Jaworowsky

The office staffs are horrible, very rude and unorganized. They double charge my mom twice and does not even know their system. I called at 3 pm and they told me that they are at lunch an d won’t entertain you.

I am new to the state and this practice so at first I did not know what to expect. From the minute I came in I was greeted with smiles and happy faces. Lisa was the MA who took me in and did my vitals. She was very nice and professional made me feel at ease. When the NP came in Jacqueline Alcantara I was more than pleased to have seen her. She takes her time and listens to all your concerns. I never once felt rushed or that I was taking up her time. She is an amazing person and a great asset to their practice. Overall I have never had any issues with getting an appointment whenever I needed one and also am happy with the service I receive by everyone there.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Palanca, NP Lara and their staff. As my father’s primary care physician for 15+ years and now our ENTIRE family’s we are so well taken care of. Whether it is a routine visit, trigger point injections or we are simply under the weather the staff, in its entirety, is professional, knowledgeable, caring and patient.I believe your offices motto is “being our doctor for life”. A few months back I posted an extremely negative review about Dr. Palanca’s practice. I thought I would never return to be honest. But I did today. And I must say, I have never experienced such compassion and caring from the members of his staff....most notably Doreen Palanca. Given my prior review they could have easily discharged me as a patient. Not only did they not do this; but they extended the warmest welcome and went well out of their way to help me. Even going to the extent of providing me a discount. While I was frustrated with the office back then; it’s my understanding that my problems lied more with a receptionist who no longer is employed there. But I would like to let people know that this practice is one of true compassion and provides the utmost standard of care. My regret is that I allowed a short-term employee to tarnish my opinion of the entire practice. I said in my previous review that if I could give a negative 5 stars I would. Now if I could give 10 I would. I will remain loyal to this office for my future health care and advise anyone who is looking for a good Dr., which let’s face it, can be hard to come by these days, Dr. Palanca has my highest recommendation.Sincerely,Christie Stone

If you are looking for a primary care, do NOT go here. The office manager Dorien does not care about the patient rather the insurance, how to bill properly. When you make an appointment and show up on time, you are automatically waiting 2+hrs before you get to see the Nurse Practitioner. Either consider re-vamping their process on seeing patients first OR should take a class on: Patient is your god, customer is your god. This office does NOT understand the value of customer-relationship. Highly disapprove of this practice. There is 1 NP to see patients and I havent even seen the doctor. Please read for your love ones before going here.

Dr. Palanca is an Excellent doctor! My husband and I see him every month. His concern, his compassion, his vast knowledge and his care truly is beyond excellent. He takes his time with each of his patients and not only answers your questions but explains everything in detail in laymans language. Hes very respectful and if youre having a bad day he Always cheers you up before you leave. We love him.

I have received excellent care with Dr. Palanca for several years, and I think What he very responsively told me on the first visit holds true. When they are in with a patient it takes as long as is needed, which will sometimes leave you waiting quite a while. But I was warned of that when I started going to him. So I end to be patient about that. When you do get seen, they will be completely with you. it is worth the trade off for me. My health has improved radically since I began seeing him.He actually convinced me to do something about my weight. I am down by 134 lbs. A pretty radical success.

The front desk ladies are great! Dr Laura is amazing! Dr Palanca is great and really explains things. Doreen is very helpful as well!!!

Horrible practice. Thanks for the horrible wait times (1 hour to 1 1/2 hour wait or MORE), thanks for never calling back and never answering the phone. Just glad I got my family away from this practice. Just reported the providers and staff to the State of FL Dept of health, Board of Medicine and Board of nursing, along with other agencies.If you have been wronged by this practice, contact the FL Department of Health and they will guide you to the correct agencies.

Every time I made an appointment to see the doctor,the office manager tried to send me to the nurse practitioner. Also I have a have had medicine problem that were not solve from this doctor. I do not like the way they treat their patients. My husband and I are no longer patients. My husband and I are happier going to another doctor

Dr. Jackie is wonderful, very caring, and a great listener. Roger and Doreen are very friendly and I never feel like Im being rushed out the door even though Im usually there when everyone would like to be leaving.

Dr Palanca explained to me the first time I ever went to him, several years ago, that they spend as much time as needed with people,so I should know in advance that there would often be a wait. It has been true, sometimes it is an hour or more before I actually see the Dr. HOWEVER I feel that I have always gotten good care there. I feel that the Doctor and the PAs and Nurse Practitioners listen to me and answer my questions. Yes it can get a little crazy there as far as being busy, but as I was warned in advance of that, and I would personally not go anywhere else. There have been a lot of changes lately in staff as they have expanded to two offices, and perhaps that prompted some of the negative reviews, but I put quality of health care above those inconveniences and think it is a very good office if you have some patience.

If you want all your care to come from nurse practitioners with the real doctor only a phone call away and a bookkeeper who weighs in on medical decisions then this is your doctor for life. Otherwise find doctor who actually sees you and cares about your well being.

The office is very disorganized, understaffed and over scheduled. The staff is highly inexperienced and extremely rude. They are always negative not positive. Patient service is terrible and they are not helpful in any way. Compassionate Care & Doctor for life are words used on Dr. Palancas business cards . Its a crock. There is no compassion. You are just a number. They are about making money. They want to get patients in and out as fast as possible. I was told by both Dr. Palanca and his office manager, Doreen If they took a lot of time with all their patients they wouldnt make enough money to pay their staff. Disgusting. It is a shame because Dr. Palanca IS an excellent doctor he has just lost his morals.

More staff now so less wait. Always great medical care. A truly caring, knowledgable and practical doctor .

I love the Dr. but his sister is another story. I have asked her to have the Dr call me but she wont and if I call in I cant get to him. My son is running out of his medicine and this is going to lead him to depression. I know Dr palanca would not approve of this type of care. She likes to talk over you and says very unkind words to you if try to speak and offer your opinion. I even told her I did not call to argue that my mother just passed and I needed to get my son in. She said this isnt about you this is about your obese son!!! I hung up.

Explained my situation to lady who asnwered phone..made me appointment same day. Showed up on time . didnt even finish filling out my paperwork and was never seen by anyone..they made every excuse in the book not to help me.. i would not recommend to anyone...Dont Waste Your Money.....

If I could choose negative stars I would give this office a negative 5 stars. Do not trust this office. The staff is extremely rude down to the answering service. I called and was told in an extremely demeaning way that I cannot get help even though I paid my fee, and the lady acted as if I’m doing something wrong by getting medical marijuana for extreme PTSD. I was told I don’t care if you paid $1,000 we cannot help you tonight. It takes a 2 second text according to the dispensary. Do not use this dr. I plan to sue this office as I experience the same problem over and over again. They are more than happy to take your money; but don’t provide the services you pay for!

I read the bad reviews first. I dont agree with a few of them.I gave five stars to Dr Palanca despite the 4 hours waiting! Once he was with my mother seriously he is the best! Takes his time, genuinely cares about my mother and listen attentively to her!The office staff since is a very busy office with patients waiting long hours (because Dr really takes his time with patients) these people can be rude to them, the staff always professional may react to unpleasant and rudes remarks from patients. Which i dont blame, i have hear them myself!I recommend Dr Palanca 100%!

My experience at Dr palanca its the most loving caring knowledgeable important hes wonderful he. He listens to everything you have to say his staff is the most wonderful and I mean wonderful staff they help you and they dont ever put anything behind day or ride on it this office is the best Ive ever been to in my life and let me tell you Ive been to many doctors and this doctor is one of the best I love this practice and I think Eduardo palanca is wonderful and during his office manager is one of the best she will help you with anything I can tell you his staff helps me all the time and so does dr. Eduardo palanca. I give dr. Palanca f stars any day of the week.

Mixed experience at this office. The office staff has been rude to me before over the phone without good cause. However, Dr. Palanca and the NP I met with were very nice and that was a good experience. One thing I do have a major issue with is their phone system. Over several weeks I was unable to reach a human. The options will sometimes dead end you and simply end the call. I have never had such difficulty in my life to reach my physicians office to talk to a person.

They gave me an appointment when you get there theres no Dr. They wont reimburse you for your cab fare that you took to get there to the fake appointment !They never answer the phone they are very unorganized no one knows what theyre doing I would not recommend this to anyone!!!

Dr Palanca is great, but my average wait time is over 1 1/2 hours. No explanation, and no informationfrom the staff.

Been a patient since Jan. 2017 when an Optimum Agent signed me up with a great recommendation. On my 1st visit the Dr. told me that my insurance was lousy. My 2nd visit was the last time I saw Dr. Palanca for a year. He was dropped by Optimum for 2018, so I had to change insurance companies to a plan with higher co-pays. Then after another year of PAs, and nurse-practictioners, we go in to an appointment on 01/02/19 made on 12/05/18 specifically to talk to the Dr. about some problems. When we arrive on time, are made wait for another half hour. Then the office manager and a menacingly huge nurse-practioner wed never seen before took us into an exam room and told us that the Dr wasnt doing pain management any more. Then they gave us paperwork back dated to 12/01/18 and 10/29/18 (when I had no appointment). My wife and I have been dropped as patients without a care as to our overall health and well being and were suffering because we cant get a pain clinic appointment until the 17th of January. Your Physician for Life, ha! Hes also overcharging for medicinal marijuana exams (that never happened) and every 70 days extorts an extra $100 for renewal. Better to go to Dr MJ at $30 a month. All we wanted was to see and talk to Dr. Palanca and he was too much of a coward to meet with us. He had Doreen the office manager, who should not be involved in the exam rooms or making medical decisions, ambush us instead of being there himself. As usual.

I wouldn’t recommend this physician to my worst enemy. Every time I pay the money for my supposedly compassionate care. I have PTSD. But every single time I pay, the dr doesn’t call my prescription in. And it literally takes a 2 second text to the dispensary.If you are in need of medical marijuana do not use this dr. Dr. Palanca is a great doctor but the office is very disorganized and Doreen can be very rude, hanging up on patients or not responding when they see the caller ID of a patient they want to avoid. I say this from personal experience when calling from a second number. She always has an excuse for everything and always try turn the blame around to to the patient.

Staff are not very helpful. You can be dying in front of them but still wont take you in. I was in an excruciating pain and I ddnt have an appt but I was willing to wait as long as I can but still wouldnt let me. They never answer their phone. Ugh! I have never experienced such thing like this in a healthcare facility. Dr. Palanca is such a great doctor but the staff and how the office runs is very very unprofessional.

My mother got Dr. Palanca via the hospital and he was her attending physician. Only contacted me, her daughter, in the beginning; otherwise he would never return calls or speak to me, about my concerns, or questions. My mother went to the Bay Care Alliant Hospital in Dunedin for a month, which was another disaster! She was dying, not eating and her body was shutting down. Yet when I would inquire or express concerns; they would blow us off. Always said her vitals were ok, but clearly she was dying and something serious was going on. She got transferred to a skilled nursing home, and was basically left to die. Very, very disappointed; and would never recommend him to anyone! Beware if you get him as a doctor!

These people are hateful and uncaring! Kim is the rudest person I have every encountered and should not be working in a facility that evolves patient care! She obviously dont have any ethics. They will knock a patient off the schedule in order to get a free lunch with a pharmacy rep. That seems to be the main focus of the entire staff---what can we get free from the pharmacy companies, while their patients sits ill in their office waiting room! I wish there was an option for 0 stars!!!!!

I had no problem coming to this office and Ive been a patient here for over a year now today I come in for a Dr visit and their secretary had the worst attitude ever. First of all they scheduled me an appt for a nurse practioner who wasnt even available today and then when I asked why would the man schedule me an appt on the day shes not her instead of her explaining to me what happened she decided to exspose Daniel and let me know that he doesnt work here anymore when I literally made the appt with Daniel that Fri. I have very good insurance and it seems lime every time I come her my balance gets higher even though it is now November and they say I owe from Mar and April.... Hmmmm Im confused on where my money is going... Dr Palanca is one of the best Drs. in the state of fla and I would never chose any other Dr but the secretary either needs more training or she needs to find another job where she can continue to be rude or end up like Daniel

Dr Palanca is Very knowledgeable compassionate.

They wont pick up phone to the office. They said they would send a referral to the place where my boyfriend needed to get a test. It was not sent and now they wont pick up when the place called, I called, and my boyfriend called to get it resent. Extremely frustrating to sit in waiting room and call the office that is supposed to be open for an order that is already supposed to be at the place he is getting a test at.

Take off your ugly clanky shoes and do some actual work Doreen.

Everytime you come here its an 2 hour wait at the minimum, front desk always uses the excuse we are running behind today the staff is always rude and running around like chickens with their heads cut off, it takes up your whole day to come see this doctor mind you after waiting 2+ hours the doctor spends maybe 10-15 minutes with you.
