Dan is one of the best hairstylists I have ever been to. He took my chemically damaged hair and made me feel like a normal person again with one haircut. I am thrilled to have found a hairstylist that I can look forward to going to time and time again. Everyone was so incredibly nice in the salon from the moment I walked into the door until I left. The salon is very professional and cool, but not at all intimidating or stuck up. I would give the salon even more stars if I could.

Alex was a pure delight to work with, as my stylist. She listened well, and followed through to perfection, in creating my plant powered hair masterpiece! Sarah was also a joy!

Had an amazing experience here! I was advised not to perm my hair by Lisa because I had previous lightener in my hair. Alex then proceeded to cut my hair, do a deep conditioning treatment and then styled my hair. It came out amazing! Highly recommended

I went in to get a haircut from master stylist Dan and omg one of the best experiences of my life!! I haven’t gotten a professional haircut in probably 10 years and went in with a few reference photos to get an idea of what i wanted. The consultation itself got me beyond excited to see what my haircut was going to be. I chopped about 18 inches off my hair and have never been so happy with the results. AMAZINGGGG OVERALL EXPERIENCE. Everyone in the salon was beyond friendly and so sweet. Will definitely be going back. Would recommend this salon to any person in the area HANDS DOWN.

Bridget, Laney, Annie and Christine did a fantastic job of welcoming me. Christine styled my hair just the way I like it. I was a walk-in, but Ill be back again. You get a $25 gift when you refer a friend and the friend gets $20 off their service. The salon is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Can’t edit to “Closed” for some reason.

So where do you start with compliments for the best service experience from the moment you walk in the door to the time you get in your car. My appointment was at 1630 an I walked in at 1600 and they greeted me so pleasantly with a cup of tea. My stylist was Jimmy who was an absolute charm. He was so easy to talk with and was very interactive with his knowledge and suggestions on how to manage and maintain your hair. All of the girls in there were absolutely amazing. I walked in on my day off /vacation and looked half homeless but yet they still made me feel like a 1%er when offering services and their conversations with you. CARING ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND HEALTH ... With Covid 19 and at age 77, I was concerned about getting a haircut. But ... Gaboa is it. Beyond its so lovely decor and staff, they went the extra mile. Staff and clients wore masks and had their temps taken plus to ensure proper social distancing, appointments were booked appropriately. Thank you all at Gaboa.

I came in initially for a haircut and hair dusting, with the hopes of her having a slot available to possibly try for the first time the Keratin Treatment. I was fortunate to be able to get the treatment. Christine answered all my questions and was very helpful. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a very enjoyable experience. I have gone to Lee at Salon Gaboa for 2 years now. Lee is always professional and very focused on really listening to me about what I want with my hair. I started going to her with long curly hair, that I swore would never be cut short. Out of know where, I decided to cut my hair off myself and to my surprise, I really liked it. It was shoulder length after I chopped it off. I went to Lee to have her professionally fix my do it myself haircut. I had so much trust in Lees expertise and ability to listen and give me exactly what I was looking for, that every time I went back I became more brave with my short hair. I now have very short hair and absolutely love it!! Lee was the perfect hairstylist for me to entrust my big hair transformation with. She always puts my hair concerns before everything else, she is no drama, professional and extremely thoughtful. Thanks Lee for always doing a great job!!

Salon Gaboa has been my go to salon for many years. All the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the salon is very clean. Valmira has been my usual stylist for quite some time now and she always does a great job. I love how she does the cut exactly how I want it done. Also recently did highlights for me and they turned out great. Would definitely recommend to a friend

We had limited time and Paul went above and beyond to get us in and make sure we had a fabulous experience!! We couldnt be happier! The staff is beyond nice and very helpful. Everyone we spoke to went above and beyond! I got my hair done by Chantelle and would send anyone and everyone to see her! She did a great job and was so much fun! Terrible salon. Don’t go!!! My son went to Christine and she completely ruined his hair, gave him very short haircut when we specially asked for a trim. Adriana, a salon owner, wouldn’t even apologize and kept telling me it was my son who asked for super short hair - LIE!!!! He told the hairstylist to make shorter than he had by keep same style. She gave him a horrible and short haircut and everyone is unhappy. My son is going back to college and hates showing up like that to his friends. It breaks my heart. Gaboa used to be goo - Lee was fantastic ( left salon), I was told Hector was great ( left salon). This salon is pricier than others and went completely and entirely downhill. If you want to leave there in tears and put yourself at crazy stylist’s mercy to chop off all your beautiful hair - then go.

This is one of the best salons in the Tampa area.Sarah does my hair color and its done to perfection each and every time. I am a blonde and it always looks great.I highly recommend this salon and Sarah to anyone. Everyone who works here is amazingly talented.

Me and my significant other went here for a women and mens hair cut. I was scheduled with Brandy while my boyfriend was with Jenna. We both agreed that this was a wonderful experience. I went in with extreme anxiety from a previous salon. Brandy was kind, understanding, and she took the time to walk me through her process. Jenna did a great job with my partners hair, and gave him a modern, classy cut. In the end, we both walked out with smiles and great styles that flattered us. I will definitely be returning here.

I was thinking about checking out this salon until I read one review where the salon stylist and owner decided to FIRE a client because she was not happy with the end result and neither wanted to make it right for the client. Also I noticed am employee of the salon rated it FIVE stars, valmira has skewed the rating of this salon with a fraudulent review.... beware patrons!!! I will be looking for a more honest place of service for my two daughters and me... Fantastic Sams sounds more enticing than this place..

I have used this Salon for over 7 years off and on. For the past 2 years, Dana was my stylist and I was very happy with her, and made sure I always tipped her at least 20% or better. The last time I went to her, I wasnt happy with my high lights, but had the understanding, that if I wasnt happy, I could come back and have it corrected. I had a vacation planned and needed it done, But her son was sick so she had another girl do it, which was fine...but on my next appointment, the day of my appointment, I received a call from the shop telling me that her son was sick again and she would call me for an appointment when she had the time. I asked to have her call me, and when she did, I found out that she FIRED me,(the customer) that she has talked to the owner and that he agreed. She said that she felt like she wasnt making me happy, that we didnt click and that I would be happier if I went elsewhere. I have never felt so badly treated as a customer in my life. They have a nice salon and do good work too...but you better like what they do, or they may not want to do your hair next time.

I love this salon, nobody else can do my hair because its very long and thick. But are they still open because Ive called several times for a couple weeks and no receptionist is picking up. And it takes 2-3 days for a call back. You guys can add a scheduling plugin to your Facebook page cour free and it would give ppl the chance to book online because its been about 2mos. now because I forget and then I remember and wait on a call back or never leave a message. Please tell me youre still open! I called today at 9am all the way to close just a bit ago.

Husband surprised me for my birthday . i showed the stylist some pics of how I wanted my hair & looked nothing like it, she gave me highlights. I wanted the balayage effect. I was unhappy so I went back to a different stylist & it looked good at first then when I washed & styled it . The color had bled & was all blotchy..you can see brush marks in my hair. Ive only ever got haircuts here and they do an awesome job. Color I wouldnt recommend here. My hair looks horrible & keep it up all the time until I let it grow some to cut off the dead ends from the bleaching. Haircuts yes coloring stayyy awayyy

I’ve been a customer of Salon Gaboa for years, and it’s the best salon I’ve ever used. Their stylists and nail techs are total professionals.Before I started going to Salon Gaboa, I asked my assistant at the time, who was herself a hair stylist, to find a really good stylist for me in Clearwater. She was extremely particular about hair cutting technique, having been a stylist at the Vidal Sassoon salon in London. She looked and looked, and couldn’t find a local stylist that was up to her standards.Then someone recommended Salon Gaboa to me. So I suggested that my assistant go over and see what she thought of their stylists. She did just that, and watched both Ben and Vasco cutting hair. She came back and told me they both had great technique and were both totally expert stylists!Ben had the first available appointment, so I went to see him. He’s been doing my hair ever since. I really don’t think you can find a better stylist than Ben or Vasco.I also go to Pembe for pedicures, and she’s just as professional at doing nails as the others are at doing hair. Her polish never comes off, even if I have to push an appointment out much longer than usual. And my nails are always perfect after she does them.But one of the most important things to me is the friendly atmosphere of this salon. They treat their clients more like friends than like customers. I don’t have a lot of time to spend socializing. So when I’m at a salon for a hair appointment lasting a couple of hours, or getting a pedicure for an hour, I want to spend that time with a friend, not someone who just mechanically performs services. That’s the great thing about Salon Gaboa – the owners, Ben, Vasco and Pembe, are the nicest people you could ever meet. Once you’ve been their customers for any length of time, you’ll feel like they’re family. I always look forward to spending time with them.That’s about as good as it gets, but I almost forgot – they also have the best coffee around!:) Julie
