10/22/21 Absolutely WOULD NOT recommend this rehab/nursing to anyone!!! My grandmother who is almost 91 with mild dementia was living in an Assisted living villa up until last week when she had a fall and broke her hip. She had surgery right away and after many thorough conversations of my grandmas current health condition we were told by Terri they could definitely accommodate her. We explained up front that since she had the surgery her dementia had gotten worse but were told by Terri as well as many other nurses in the hosp. and doctors that this does normally happen to people of her age and that it sometimes takes 30 days for the anesthesia to wear off. My grandma has good moments & then moments where she is very confused and ornery post surgery. We were told they could definitely accommodate her (they also had records from her hospital stay that they reviewed before accepting her) and Terri even told us they do not use them very often but can put alarms on her bed and padding on the floor in case she got confused and tried to get up on her own as she had one incident in the hospital right after surgery where she tried to get out of bed. My mom received a call at 11:00 today from the ER at a local hospital that they had my grandma and did not have any history nor paperwork on her. All they were given was my moms phone number, the hospital did not even know where she had come from. HarbourWood did not even have the decency to call or text my mom or I to let us know they were sending my grandma to the hospital and we have phone records to prove this. I called and spoke to the Administrator Carlos and he didnt know anything about it, he looked up her records and said they sent her to the hospital as they were unable to meet her needs. They sent my grandma to the hospital without any of her clothes or dentures. My mom was told, she did not receive a call as they did not have her information which is completely false as Terri had been texting my mom and I both the day before multiple times, also my mom filled out paperwork upon her arrival there yesterday with all her information. Since my grandma was in a very confused state of mind from the anesthesia, pain from the surgery and all the changes shes been through they said they could not accommodate her there, therefore they sent her back to the hospital. Not only did they put her in an ambulance and send her back to the hospital with no history at all, they sent her to a different hospital from where she had had the surgery by mistake.

Good friend there. Patients get left in wheelchairs for many hours. Little physical therapy and no occupational therapy. It is a rehab center.

Great place to work! Residents are well taken care of and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Administration is great with addressing issues and making her team knowledgeable.

Hard-working, great attitudes and honestly caring people (Angels) work at Harbourwood Care Center. Terri has been my Guardian Angel from the start, when my step-father needed a skilled nursing facility. I am so grateful for the compassion my step-father was given as well as the help and understanding I was given. Too many names to give thanks for. God Bless you ALL!

I had emergency open heart surgery 3 months ago at Morton Plant Hospital. No one ever plans to have an emergency surgery and I was relying on my children to tour many nursing homes and make a great decision on where I would receive my rehab. My children no how picky I am and how hard I am to please, so you can imagine how worried I was! But, my children really picked an amazing nursing home. I left here having an extended family. From the bottom of my new heart, Thank you!!!

Nasty people here. They dont give anyone a break. Lousy care too. Dont go here. Find a better place.

This place is ridiculous their staff is nasty. Too many patients for one nurse.

When I resided at Harbourwood for my knee surgery, I was skeptical and nervous about being inside a nursing home. Honestly, my stay here was pleasantly surprising. The kitchen staff did their best to make my eggs and bacon the way I liked it. Therapy staff really encouraged me, and the nursing staff really cared. The housekeeping staff asked me everyday if I needed anything and made sure everything was tightly. Very nice place.

My mother is needing a skilled rehab for a few weeks and I toured Harbourwood last night without having an appointment. I was glad I did because I got to see every day life. Everyone was very nice there was someone at the front desk, the place smelled clean, and I will be bringing my mother here. Kudos to the night nurse who gave me a tour.

I loved the staff. I knew I was coming here once I had my knee surgery. I toured without having an appointment and I was seen right away. The therapy staff really motivate you and they encouraged me to not give up. I highly recommend this rehab center

This truly is a hidden gem! I found nothing wrong with this place. I placed my mother here for a 5 day respite and when I picked her up, she was very happy and content, right where she was. The staff was welcoming and professional. There were no lingering unpleasant odors. My Mom was clean, dressed, warm and alert. She had a visitor and they were also pleased with this facility. It was a great experience and I recommend this facility for your love ones. Thank you for the peace of mind!

Marvelous facility. I live down the street from Harbourwood and I was able to visit my dear friend twice a day. I really enjoyed the customer service and the care that was provided.

I love volunteering here. Everyone is very nice and makes you feel important. Im going to bring my church here.

All of the employees are very responsive and respectful. This rehab center is very clean and does not smell. Very nice

I spent 3 weeks at facility for Rehab and felt it was an overall positive experience. Beautiful facility and it does not smell like a nursing home. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Therapy was excellent. I would definitely return if needed.

I would highly recommend Harbourwood to anyone looking for somewhere to place their parents. I looked into many places and in my opinion Harbourwood is by far the best in the area. The staff is amazing. They take such good care of my Mother. We honestly have no complaints. They have a lot of activities which my Mom loves. She is very happy at Harbourwood and I have comfort knowing she is in good hands. I would personally like to thank Terry and Fran. You have helped us so much. God Bless!

The food was very good and if I didnt like something, the dinning staff gave me a lot of different choices and made me happy. Great care.

My family and I were very pleased by the exceptional care, customer service was spot on, and if my g-ma wasn’t happy, they made her happy. Therapy department was absolutely amazing.

I toured Harbourwood and it was very nice. The building was very clean and it did not smell. I will definitely recommend this nursing home.

My favorite part about Harbourwood was the kitchen. My brother was able to learn how to prepare his food and feel independent.

I toured Harbourwood Care Center to see if we would like to volunteer here. We are very excited to bring in our service pups.

I made a visit to my neighbor who is currently at Harbourwood and I must say, everyone is very nice and helpful.

I was there for a month and I was very happy with the care, yes they are under staffed but the care was great and its very clean! My mother was there for a year and they took very good care of her. I highly recommend them!!

Cute rehab place. Very attentive staff.

Wouldnt send my dog here. My brother lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks even though they were supposed to be feeding him. When visited. He was so drugged that he couldnt communicate at all. Staff member states that she has no idea what happened since she had a conversation with him that morning (lie). When asked about his swollen shut eye this same staff member said she didnt know since it was fine that morning (another lie). Doctors in hospital notified and they will discontinue using this facility. If you care about your loved one do not send them to this place.

My uncle was at Harbourwood and we were very satisfied with the food & care.

My husband came home yesterday after being in rehab at Harbourwood. We could not be happier that he’s home and all thanks go to the staff at Harbourwood Care Center!!!

My aunt has been in this facility for 5 days and nights. She is yet to be given a bath> She has a bed and a wheel chair. she needs assistance to walk but when she needed to go to the bathroom she was told she just went a while ago so she could just pee in her pants. they transferred her from one room to another and in the process lost most of her clothing. people are all over the hallways in wheelchairs.some just float around and most just slump over and sleep. people in prison have it better than here

Horrible, my father was moved to a sister lock down facility a week ago. He is so drugged that he is a Zombie! Risperdal, Depracote, Prozak, Trazadome. This man had a triple bypass 10 years ago, While in Harobrwood was rushed to Mease County Side. They moved home last week to this disgusting lock down facility, so dirty that I would not want my dog there.

I liked the food and the therapy I received while I was at Harbourwood. Im back to my old self again and Im glad I chose to come here.

I worked there for about 7 weekends. I was hired as weekend supervisor. of the 7 weekends I worked there I worked as the supervisor one Sunday only. The rest of the time I was put on a med cart because of staffing. The CNAs run the building on the weekends which is ridiculous, dont know about during the week. The Administrator (which is a different story, whew!) came in one weekend and instead of paging me the weekend supervisor to give her an update she paged this CNA who is best friends with the DON to go to her office for an update. When I witnessed that little scenario I walked to the time clock punched out and quit.

I would not recommend my worst enemy to this facility my mother has been there almost a year had problems with them on and off with their staff which turn over radius is ridiculous mother had a UTI in the middle of the UTI they changed 3 psych meds which is very dangerous in the first place then gave her a benzoid because she was acting out from the UTI and the three psych meds that they changed overdose my mother was sent to the hospital has not been right since in the head do not send your family members to this facility only if you want them to die immediately

Great food and I loved the bingo hall

Terrible place. They keep a good image to make you think its a good rehab center. My grandfather was given full access to coffee 24/7 without carrying that it rises his blood pressure. He also had photos takes of him while he was asleep by one of there workers. We tryed to take him out when his insurance ended, they thrented to call social services and the police because it goes aganst Dr orders. But only said because they thought we qualifyed for medicade. Once they found out he does not qualify they made him leave the same day. When we picked him up they wouldent give us hes breathing treatments and oxygen which he needs, saying that he never received oxygen which we have seen him in everyday. Once we got him home and sorted through his medicine, we found that they used his medication from home that they required. they also have taken all of hes needed nercoducs. And only gave us the cheap medications. He didnt receive all of hes needed medications which made him sick. They absolutely do not care about the people there. DO NOT SUBJECT YOUR FAMILY TO A HORRABLE PLACE LIKE THIS!

Horrible-no phone-bad care-missing personal property-bad food-rude staff. Dont want to say anymore.

My adopted mother was admitted due to a facility transfer where she was being heavily medicated.The staff at harbour wood held her against her will, when my mother wanted to come home they simply would not allow it.My mother had a power of attorney at that time that exploited her.The staff at harbour wood health and rehabilitation would not help her.They would kick out every lawyer I sent their- take the lawyers papers from their hands and say,The patient is not allowed to sign any papers and she is not allowed to go home or talk to any lawyers.When I tried revoking the lady that was exploiting my mother.Finally I had an attorney revoke the poa.My mother is now home and we are in the process of filing a huge lawsuit.These nursing homes need to conduct their facilities in a proper professional manner.Do not bring your loved ones their.
