Nothing but good things to say! I had been experiencing major wisdom tooth pain since mid-July and struggled with finding a good surgeon to extract the teeth. Places either wanted $1000+ upfront or didnt tell me I was out of network until the day of my appointment. Dr. Neweys office was the third place I had tried over the course of about two months, and they were able to get me in quickly for a consultation, and less than a week later I was able to get my wisdom teeth extracted. The office is nice, and the staff is even better. Several days after getting the teeth extracted I was still in a lot of pain, and someone in the office even stayed after the office closed for me to pick up another prescription as she didnt want me in the pain over the weekend. Definitely recommend Dr. Neweys office!

Five stars is not enough they deserve more than five stars. Dr.Newey and his staff goes above and beyond to help their patients feel comfortable, and important. The care they gave to my daughter and myself was amazing! Dr. Newey and his staff truly cares for his patients. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody. Thank you all so much!

Staff was top notch, but I am highly convinced that Mark himself was not lucid when performing his work. Mistakes were made, and there was hardly any level of accountability afterward. I do not intend to ever go back, and would not recommend others do.

I needed to be seen on an emergency basis and the staff were able to squeeze me in that same day within just a few minutes!! I needed two molars extracted, was experiencing a ton of pain, and was a nervous wreck!! Dr. Newey and his staff put me right at ease, and very quickly out of pain with some numbing shots. One of my teeth had broke off and I thought for sure that pulling would turn into a nightmare; however, Dr. Newey had both molars out in under 10 minutes! My roots were HUGE...this man knows what hes doing!!!👍💪

Its nice to be able to put your mind at ease knowing that they have everything handled for the care of you and/or your loved ones.

Dr Newey removed my sons wisdom teeth. It was fast and painless. He also did surgery on my young daughters mouth. Once my daughter was sedated De Newey noticed a problem that would affect her later in life. He came to the waiting room and talked to me about our options. We decided it would be best for him to do the procedure that day. He was able to save us time and money. Although the more invasive procedure was not what was scheduled, he and his staff made the necessary accommodations. 100% would recommend Dr Newey!

Dentist didnt give all info to them. Tech brought attention to surgeon. And a CT scan was done. It was critical to my treatment for the best result, and pain level. Was rescheduled quickly to accommodate me vs holiday week. So impressed with genuine caring and professional support and advice.Coming from a medical profession that always isnt the most one on one caring, it means a lot. Plus the little touches of a soup bowl with chicken noodle soup. Was a nice touch without saying what diet you need ,more an example as a gift! 10 STARS!

Dr Newey is the best, most caring and gentle oral surgeon or any dentist I’ve ever been to for tooth removal. I highly recommend him and always refer him to anyone who mentions needing any teeth removed. I’m so grateful that he was chosen to remove my grandsons wisdom teeth. His staff is as awesome and caring as he is.

Both of my kids received excellent care here. My oldest son had his wisdom teeth taken out. My youngest son had multiple procedures (extractions, chain anchors, bone graft, implant). Dr. Newey and his staff are so knowledgeable and attentive every step of the way. Cant praise them enough!

This will have been the third time I have been back to Dr. Newey’s office for dental implants. I not only like Dr. Newey’s experience & expertise but the professionalism of his staff is the best. Dr. Newey, saved my granddaughter’s life a few years ago. I don’t live in Layton but after a dentist caused damage to my granddaughter’s mouth, an abscess, and many ER visits Dr. Newey took over and she was healthy again in a few days. My son-in-law and daughter have both seen Dr. Newey in emergency situations and he makes them feel comfortable and calm. If you need an oral surgeon, and are worried about going to a dentist, rest assured this office is awesome. I would give 100 stars if I could. Thank you Dr. Newey for taking care of my loved ones.

Absolutely fantastic, the staff walks you through every step so you know completely what is going to happen, would definitely go back for any further dental work.

I have never been to an oral surgeon prior to seeing Dr Newey. I was one of the few people blessed to not have any wisdom teeth and have not had any mouth trauma. When being diagnosed for possible severe ear aches, my ENT doctor suggested that I may have TMJ. She referred me to Dr Newey, well better said, she told me that shed contact them and have his office call to set up an appointment. Now, in the past, doctors have not always called right back, most of the time, I ended up calling them to set the referred appointment up. This was definitely not the case with Dr Neweys staff, they had called within a couple of hours of me leaving my ENT. Now, expecting an appointment in December, I was asked if the following Monday would be good. After picking myself up off of the floor I agreed to a time. For a time line, I saw my ENT on Sept 24, first consult with Dr Newey, Sept 28.Meeting the staff was awesome, they were grinding and very caring, I could tell by their eyes. Im sure they were smiling under their COVID 19 masks, which by the way, everyone wore.I had my x-ray taken and had only waited about five minutes until Dr Newey came in. Again very friendly, I felt that his exam was thorough. He said in order to see really what was going on in my jaw, I would need an MRI, which he ordered. Once again, I thought two or three weeks out for the MRI. I thanked him and his staff for helping me, I had been in such horrible pain and was very lucky to have been able to get an appointment with him.That afternoon Ogden Regional called and scheduled an MRI two days out! After that was taken care of, and my appointment was scheduled for Oct 6 to review the results with Dr Newey. The 6th came and we met and reviewed the results and he explained everything so simply. We agreed that surgery would be the best course of action me.We set the surgery date for Oct 21 so that there would be time for pre-approval from the insurance. My pain increasing got worse over the coming days. I called Dr Neweys office and asked if there was any possible way that the surgery could be moved up a week, she said shed talk to him and see what we could do.About two hours later, Ogden Regional called and said that my surgery had been moved up a week and that I needed to make sure I had a COVID19 test done that the doctor requested.When all of this was done and day of surgery came, Dr Newey came in and explained the procedure again to my wife and myself, answered the questions we had, he did advise me that Id be staying over night so the pain could be managed.Today Oct 21 I went in for my Post-op exam and Dr Newey and myself could not be happier with the results. So, in short, all of this was accomplished in under 30 days! Im so pleased with the work he did, the professional attitude in his office and with his staff. Thank you so much Dr Newey! I will definitely be referring you to friends and family!

Dr. Newey removed my wisdom teeth as well as the baby tooth below an impacted canine. The consultation was great, they were very thorough in answering my questions about the procedure and the finances.The day of surgery was probably the smoothest appointment Ive ever had. I have severe anxiety when it comes to needles: I just start crying uncontrollably and it drives me nuts. When Dr. Newey inserted my IV, however, he was very smooth and delicate and I barely felt it. I dont remember feeling panicked at all before I went under. They started everything very quickly and we were out within 2 hours.The only small complaint I would have is that my husband, who accompanied me, felt that the assistant that spoke was him spoke really fast and kind of rushed him so he was a little worried about the after care, but they gave us a lot of paperwork to read off of and they even gave me a gift basket of chicken soup!

I am not one to normally review a practice, and thats probably because I never felt like I had to, until now. We are all taught to treat people the way you would like to be treated. After contacting the office for a payment dispute because of a ridiculous charge, I was treated with such disrespect. I was so appalled at how I was being treated & spoken to on the phone. Respect is a really big deal to me, and they clearly dont believe in it. How sad that they feel that its more important to be right instead of doing the right thing. I urge you to keep looking for a doctor/staff that believe kindness matters. This is not that place.

Dr. Newey did a great job. All of their staff was very helpful and nice. I had a great experience and wouldn’t choose anyone else for wisdom teeth. They made sure I was comfortable and told me step by step what to do afterwards for a healthy healing process.

Well what can I say. Just recently had to go into surgery a dented in skull. And Dr Newey was very calm cool and relaxed he got me into surgery the same day. My recovery is going very quickly and smoothly I would recommend him if you need facial or oral surgery

Wow. Super unprofessional.I went in for my consult, everything was great. Had my husband call to schedule my surgery appointment. Because we needed to talk about getting the money together for the surgery. I never hear from them at all. Went in day of surgery they didnt have me down. But they will fit me in, well ok. (I offered 3 times to reschedule), had some questions but they asked me to wait until I was back in room. They refused to let my husband come back with me. Then took me to a dirty used surgical room. The nurse was answering my questions about how a biopsy works when Dr. Newey came up behind me and started snarling at me that I didnt make an appointment and I said my husband did he then yelled at me that I hadnt done it right and if I had there wouldnt be a mixup. So I said ok Im done and he screamed at me while I was leaving..... good then leave!!!. I will never recommend his office. Hes abusive.

What an experience. The staff is the best, friendly, accommodating and made me feel comfortable.Dr. Newey was so nice, he explained what was going to happen and even put the IV line in himself. There was no way I was going to be awake for this extraction since he might have to dig the tooth out. I love that he didn’t waste any time getting started and just injected the meds to put me asleep so I didn’t fret waiting for things to begin. He told me I’d start feeling happy...Cute lolI woke up not feeling beaten up. He did what he had to do without tearing my mouth up and I appreciate that!They even sent me home with a small gift basket that contained a can of chicken noodle soup and a good sized soup bowl! How awesome is that?! Plus a tray with a new tooth brush, floss and toothpaste.Now all of that made me feel like he and his staff gave a damn 🤗Thank you to Dr. Newey and his staff.

Had my wisdom teeth removed in early 2011. All four wisdom teeth were growing in sideways, causing the rest of my molars to become achy and slightly loose. This problem went away after fully recovering from removal surgery. Nothing bad to say at all about this place. I even kept a nice piece of sequestra from my lower jaw while my jaws were healing. I keep it in a bag as something to show family members and friends :b

I cannot say enough good things about this office and staff... Every person I had a interaction with from the front office staff to the doctor were more than competent. Dr. Newey and Kristy went above and beyond to insure that I was taken care of. I had a awful experience with my implants from another doctor and he had to remove them, do bone grafts and then a new implant. I would never go anywhere else!!!

Dr. Newey is AMAZING!! My 10 year old son had an abcessed tooth & after calling his regular pediatric dentist, we were told he needed to be on an antibiotic for a week before they would do anything. He was on the antibiotic for a day, still in pain and absolutely miserable. Dr. Newey found out and got him right in the very next morning and had the tooth pulled within 5 minutes. His staff was just as great. He has a beautiful office & everyone was very friendly. We left his office and my son went right to school and was feeling good enough to go to football practice that evening. Thank you, Dr. Newey for getting Memphis back to feeling great!

Wasnt even a patient, but I went there with my sister in law, and the staff couldnt have been more rude or inconsiderate. Plus, Newey botched her surgery and she is in constant pain because of his practice! I went to a different oral surgeon because of this situation and never looked back! Definitely not the place to go, if you want to be treated well and with respect!

We were very impressed with our experience at Dr. Neweys office. My four year old son was injured at a playground and broke his jaw. It was after hours so we ended up seeing someone else and we were not impressed with the doctor we saw. We called Dr. Newey and he got us in right away and he and his staff were so kind to my son who was very nervous. He also took the time to answer my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the treatment. We have followed up with him since that initial appointment for my son and we had another great experience. He has also put an inplant in for my husband and did a fantastic job. We would highly recommend him! He truly is a one of a kind surgeon.

Office sent sample to out of state lab and we got stuck with a $253 bill. They were unwilling to help with the bill and said we should have told them which lab to send it to. Who thinks to tell the doctor where to send a tissue sample to?
