My wifes grandmother was treated extremely well while at Thatcher Brook, and so when her mother also needed rehabilitation after her operation, she went there as well. They both were very happy with the caring staff at Thatcher Brook and how the great physical therapists helped them recover and be their best. The rooms and nice, big, private, and clean, and food was more than good enough to please two excellent cooks (honestly two of the best cooks I have ever known). However, the fact that the entire facility, including the nurses, CNAs. physical therapists, and even officer personnel treated our loved ones with love and respect during every part of their stay, from beginning to end, made all the difference in the world. This is a great place if you want to know your family member is at a place where people will really care for them, at every level. Our family is very grateful to Thatcher Brook for their service to us.

My mother was unfortunate to stay here for care in early 2018. Loss of 1 star: Their pain care was very inconsistent. There was an incident when they over medicated her and she lost all of her bodily functions. Then another where they tortured her, making her sit up in a very uncomfortable contraption in desperate pain from her back surgery with no medication whatsoever, calling for help and nobody responding until her time was up. Loss of 2 stars: We asked numerous times for them to fix the blinds on her window since it was in a high traffic area so she could have some privacy. They never did. We had to pile pillows over the area to try and provide some cover. Loss of 3 stars: The food was disgusting, hands down, the very worst. But served up on lovely trays. Once we asked a worker what they were serving and they couldnt even tell us what it was either. I had to bring in outside food or my poor mom wouldve starved. She lost so much weight while here. We were severely disappointed and will never use this facility ever again.

This place is disgusting!!! If you have any self integrity or respect do not go here!!!You sit in your own urine because they ignore your calls. They keep you drugged so you dont complain or move. They keep you as long as possible with out the help you need you to get stronger so they can drain your insurance. Youre left alone all day. Because no visitor is allowed.Makes me sick. Glad in home!

I came to Thatcher Brook on October 10th after I had a Complete Knee Replacement Surgery on October 8th.. Once I learned that I wasnt returning home after my discharge from the hospital I was some what nervous.. The driver from Thatcher Brook who pick me up at the hospital was very kind and made me feel comfortable...Upon the arrival at Thatcher Brook I was welcomed by some very kind Nurses and token to my room.. The CNAS took very good care of me and were attentive to my needs.Started with Physical and Occupational from the get go..I did both therapies in my room for 14 days (due to I was in the wait time for after receiving the Covid 19 test..)Once I could go to the Physical Therapy Gym I was so happy..My time spent with the physical and occupational therapists was Painful but worth working my way through it all.. Especially on the Stationery Bikes.. (Oh how I miss them at home)..Wish I could bring them home with me...Overall my Rehab needs were met with TOUGH LOVE!!!!Thank you to the cook the meals I had durning my stay were so Yummy!!!!Thank you to all the Staff at Thatcher Brook.. Thatcher Brook has wonderful, caring staff. They took excellent care of my dad for the 3 months he was there. When he first arrived, he was not in very good shape. Because of the wonderful team of nurses, CNAS, therapists, transportation drivers and administrative staff, my dad got all of the care and attention he needed. They really cared about him and our family. We love each and everyone who helped care for my dad. We highly recommend Thatcher Brook.

This is the 3rd time my mother has been here. She receives quality care while shes here which is why she chooses this care center over any others. The therapy is wonderful and helps her in so many ways. She is always thrilled to do whatever they ask of her because she knows it is for her best interests. The nurses and staff are compassionate and hard working and the chef does a remarkable job. The food is always well rounded healthy food, which also helps her heal.

My recent visit to Thatcher Brook was wonderful. I left the hospital with a lot of pain after major back surgery. The entire staff was excellent. The facility was very clean and the art work was amazing. The meals were prepared very well. Im a picky eater so the chef came and visited with me for ten to fifteen minutes. We discussed how he could work with me on meal selection. He was a very nice man. The therapists, Toby and Sarah were awesome. They had me walking right away. They were awesome!

The staff is very friendly and kind! However when concerns as to care issues like the call light and bedside table routinely left out of reach and the patient being required to wear street clothing to bed at night and the day and date not being updated on the board assurances were made of improvement but were not. The doctor refused to talk with the family when medical problems developed. When Noel makes the food it is great! I would only go if totally healthy.

This place is the biggest scam ever supposedly they take CIGNA insurance Yep signal supposedly didn’t pay anything. I also had Medicaid as a back up but supposedly Medicaid would pay either so now they charge me on top of the $5000 bill they charge me $4000 interest! They’re not willing to work with me or change anything or drop the interest when I had two insurances their billing department did not get it paid through my two insurances even though it was supposed to be covered from my insurances. Do not go here at the nurses did not check my husband’s glucose regularly his glucose was always high when I went into see him or they give us so much insulin that it would be so low he would be passed out in his bed! They did monitor his blood pressure don’t ever send your love ones here they will let them die.Update : this is not slander I have the medical bills to prove it, calls to the nurse RECORDED basing my concerns about my husbands super high or super low glucose levels because THEY werent controlling it right or monitoring it ALL AT AND I have the claims from the TWO insurance companies stating THEY WERE NEVER BILLED AND THATCHERBROOK NEVER SENT BILLS UNTIL IT WAS IN COLLECTIONS AFTER IT HIT 50% INTEREST! I HAVE PROOF! They are just trying to save their butts. If you want to chance your loved one dying and ending up with a $20,000 bill later half of it being interest then go ahead let your loved ones die here. Because mine almost died here until I took him home. Also look at the other 1 star reviews. My husband is not the only one that almost died.

This place is absolutely terrible. Seriously please do not put any of your family in here if you care about them at all. They have dropped my grandmother twice. Their nurses are rude, they don’t have enough staff to help residents when in need. And you don’t understand this really takes a toll on one emotionally when you have no control over it. Please I’m begging you do not go here they need to be shut down.

I stayed here for 2 months. The CNAs and other nurses were average or decent. Mindy was really bad though, I hear she no longer works there. I got MRSA from her, and it could have taken my life but I am strong as an ox.Food wasnt the greatest, but the milk was good.I really liked the fact that I had OT and PT every day, they did a really good job working with me, I had Ryan and Tyler. They were great.

My wife had knee replacement and required after care. She has spent time in several rehab facilities: her mom, me, and herself. We have seen enough to make an honest evaluation of this facility.Physical therapy - par; nursing staff - very kind, competent, however, requests for assistance most of the time go unanswered for hours - very poor; food - extremely poor (dont bother making any requests such as no onions or peppers because they will be ignored entirely); the chef and servers are very defensive of any critiquing of their menu and food - very poor; administrative staff run like a kindergarten - not to competent, driver makes your Dr appointments, Chief administrator actually drove her to her Dr appointment. If its your first time in a rehab center youll probably be happy, simply because you dont know any better. If youve been in rehab before at another facility you will NOT be happy with this facility. This facility is definately understaffed, not managed very well, and does not live up to their boast of Quality Care!

My mother was in thatcher brook for 20 days. If it werent for her seven children staying with her 24/7 she wouldnt have survived, I truly believe that. Where do I start. After repeatedly pushing the button to get help going to the restroom 2 hours later someone came in to help and when they stood her up she soiled herself. How humiliating. Medications were not given. She had a problem breathing and after running out for help a cna came in and said oh shes ok and left. Yet her lungs were full of water, she was in tears tired of trying to breath. Nurses talked down to the cnas often. She was left in the bathroom again hitting the buttom with no response, we her daughters found her she was yet again in tears. Every time we asked a question this was the answer every time well have to call the doctor , when the on call doctor was called this one time he did not answer. My mother had an episode in the bathroom where she was stood up to get washed and was let go, my mother grabbed the handle so she wouldnt fall and bruised her entire hand. I can say the therapists were top notch.

This is Terrie Nielson and I am speaking about my mother. Our experience at Thatcher Brook was horrific. My mother was in this facility for 20 days and she almost died. One of the scariest incidents that occurred was one evening while I was there, my mom could not breath. She was desperately trying to take breaths as tears ran down her face. She said to me The nurses do not believe me. She has congestive heart failure and her lungs were filling with water. I ran out to the front desk desperate to find someone to help her and give her Lasix medication. The CNA came in and sat her up straighter in her bed and checked her oxygen and said it was okay but that she would get the nurse. At least an hour and a half later the nurse came in and told me the same thing the CNA did. That her oxygen was normal. I explained to her that this is a pattern, her oxygen always seems normal but if they x-rayed her her lungs they would see that her lungs were filling with water. I told the nurse she would need to call the Dr. I asked her to call Her Doctor not the Doctor on staff because he knew her history. Finally hours later they did get ahold of Her Doctor and was given instructions to give my mom Lasix medication twice a day for 5 days. They gave her 1 dose I stayed until I felt she would be okay. I am not sure what they were planning to do that night. Were they just going to let her suffocate? The next morning my sister went to stay with mom and found out that the day staff nurses had no idea what went on the night before. Nor had they given my mom the prescribed medication Lasix. How does that even happen???? They informed my sister that they dont call Doctors at night. What??? There is most certainly a disconnect with the day staff and the night. This scary, incompetent behavior happened over and over again. They have a total disregard for human life. This was just one of our wonderful experiences with this facility.

The nursing staff does not work as a team and they willl not do things that are out of their job description. the care is not high enough and they will take up anyone that is willing to work even if they are not giving the best care that they need to give. they give bad reviews on previous employees that are trying to find a more suitable job for their life because they do not want them to leave the facility. they do not adddress problems directly but beat around the bush and wont confront someone doing their job in a wrong way. I do not reccomend taking a family or friend here because you will not receive the appropriate care that you need.

Describe my experience. .ok.. my dad was here for the rehab in 2014. I took him out of there after five days.I had to watch him like a hawk. There was once blood on the floor. I asked them where it was from, they said my dads pic line. Than i asked why it couldnt of been cleaned up. Nurse was not happy with me. They tried putting him to bed in urine soaked sheets. I asked for over a day for them to shower him. They didnt. Being a CNA at the time, i showered him. I would put pillows under his heels, arms to try and prevent pressure soares, but theyd just remove them when I would leave. They never changed his brief often, that his skin was starting to rub/ peel off. He was in late stages of primary progressive MS, you cant wait for him to ask you to do stuff.I tried to be classy with my review, but it still makes my blood boil. Thats my dad. Im not going to just look the other way. I did report it to Medicare but medicare saw nothing wrong in their visit (by that time i had already placed my dad in a different facility). Maybe if my dad wasnt bed ridden and didnt have cognitive issues it would of been different, but he does have those issues. Its really sad that the social worker at the hospital wasnt allowed to tell me facility reviews. I had to find out the hard way.

I would not recommend thatcher brook unless your needs are very minimal. My husband went here after his colon removal. They were not qualified to change ostomy bags. They had no supplies. We had to get the wound care from ogden regional to come and show the RNs how to attach the bag. The CNAS were unqualified. One female Cna gave him a shower without having help or having a shower matt so he would not slip. As he stood his foot slipped hitting the wall. They just bandaged it didnt keep an eye on it. He is diabetic and it created an ulcer on his big toe. His incision also hadnt healed right so I took him to ogden regional wound care where they had to aggressively go after the ulcer and care of the incision. I now have to pay the bill for the wound care thanks to the incompetency of employees and nursing director.
