I have never written a review for a Doctor. In my 60 years on this planet, I’ve had good doctors and I’ve had bad. Most fall into the adequate category. My current Care giver is Lea Lott of Avance Care. I’d like to say I tracked her down through careful research but the truth is I lucked onto her. For the absolute first time in my life I know I’m in good hands. She truly cares about me and is careful to fully research all of my medical options before proceeding with care or treatment. I’m not just one of many to her. I am truly grateful for her and the outstanding care I receive. Thank you Lea Lott, you are truly exceptional.

This is the most unethical practice Ive ever been to. The doctor went through my medical form I submitted prior to my appointment and has charged me for anything they possibly could. I was called back by a nurse who did not introduce herself. Once I was in the room I made it clear I was in for an annual physical, not the womans physical but a regular one. The doctor busts in, doesnt introduce herself, she brings others with her who dont introduce themselves either and they start harping at me over my allergies I honestly wrote down on the paperwork. I didnt come to talk about my allergies though, but I didnt know I would be charged for answering her questions. After she got over the allergies, she then chimed in about my menstrual complications which I told her that I am handling with my gyno and Ive also been charged for that. After the appointment, I scheduled another however, as the day went on I felt more insecure with the office demeanor and anything that the dr said. So, I canceled any follow up with her. I realized theyre just after money and after seeing my insurance claims today that is true. She didnt listen to my needs or concerns, she just simply billed my insurance as much as she could. She had already made her decision about me and my health prior to the visit. I will never use another avance care.

I sincerely love Dr. Woodworth and the staff at the Oberlin Road branch. I decided to try the Clayton branch because it’s closer for me. Chris and LaShay were very nice. Even though one prescription was called into the wrong pharmacy and the other one was for the wrong prescription all together (thank goodness the pharmacist caught the mistake). But this place just has bad customer service and they don’t seem to be managed well. Nobody seems to know what’s going on. And I was a bit shocked at the professionalism of the front desk ladies. They were talking very openly about patients in a negative way and it was really off putting and so disappointing after the extremely good experience at the Oberlin branch.

Avoid at all cost! I was a patient at Advance Care. I followed PA Lashae Young there from another practice. I asked her to do my paperwork for my Leave of Absence for my job. She filled it out 2 times due to her lack of understanding. The paperwork was still incorrect. I went to an appointment and told her to please refill the LOA paperwork out. I even brought a recording of the representative explaining what they needed. PA Young tells me that it’s unfair to her to have to fill it out again. Well if she had wrote a statement explaining what she saw along with the illnesses I have been experiencing it wouldn’t be a issue. I contacted the office manager who promised me she would help PA Young fill it out all to be lied to and she didn’t even call me back as promised or make Young do it. A doctor is supposed to know how to get paperwork done when a patient is sick. It’s not about the Doctors feelings if they don’t want to do it or if they don’t know how. Sad part is my son had to fuss to get his sports physical done by Young. If she didn’t know she’s fired. My insurance pays so I get to choose my care. My family will never go there again and I am filing a complaint through the BBB as well as every outlet I can. We are very disappointed in Young as well as that practice. We used to travel so far just to see Young. She has changed and lost the care that she had when we first started going to her. Now she’s like every other doctor. Next stop BBB, rip-off report and every other outlet I can find to complain and get justice. I have to find another doctor in hopes they can find out why I’m sick every day when that doctor didn’t do her damn Job!

Updated: I’ve been to the place twice to use there services, they sent me a bill to pay. Now they said they have not seen me there? They did not even ask who I am!!!The 1 star is for the customers service quality.I made an appointment for annual physical and biometrics screening and wanted to know if they billed my insurance for both services I called them twice and they did not know and said they would call/leave me msgs to let me know and they never did, and I they promised twiceeee!!! they remembered to send me bills though

Update: Laurie the office manager reached out to me about my experience and was very apologetic. She explained to me what happened and went above and beyond to make the situation right. The rest of the staff is awesome! The office is very clean, everyone was wearing their masks properly. PA-C Andrew was very friendly and honest. I am really glad I gave them a second chance; I have tried other physicians in the area and have been displeased. I really like that the office is open past 6, as this helps with my scheduling needs.I have a serious medical condition that needs to be looked at; appointment was changed then cancelled without warning. I work in the medical field to and completely unsatisfactory!

My experience here is always great. Dr. LaShea Young takes the time to listen, time to talk about a plan to help you and always keeps up with her patients even if it is out of office questions or RX needs. I thank you for that and I also thank her Babygirl (nurse) for always treating me like a human being and not another chart. Best!

If I can give it a zero I would! No longer will my family and I go here.My son (18) wanted his physical done. He asked doctor (Andrew Bohunicky) a question - In which the doctor told him he might have a disease - and that he recommends someone else - then charges us a doctors visit. Are you kidding me. He had a simple question about his blood since blood was drawn- and you took advantage of a young man! I’m appalled. (And then trying to contact a (no name office manager) to discuss this with.Need a recommendation for a true family practice that doesn’t rob people!

Ever notice how you can already tell the kind of service youre going to receive at a doctors office by the atmosphere and cheerfulness of its employees? I visited Avance Care for the first time on 7/20/2020. Its been awhile since Ive been so impressed with an experience. It was immediately clear that all who worked there had a heart to serve. I felt so at home without being at home! The positive and friendly staff at this practice created a warm and welcoming ambience. Cant wait for my next visit to this wonderful place!

Avance Primary Care - Clayton is a great doctors office for your entire family. Very dedicated doctors, physicians, and staff. PA Chris Lane did a great job at listening to our concerns and not being dismissive of my daughters symptoms. He was willing to ask another PA for her opinion and order the necessary tests to get definitive answers. He was quick to follow up with results and answer any questions that we had. The staff was great getting us an appointment on short notice, which is saying a great deal when it comes to a medical provider. We never experienced any long waits for the initial visit or subsequent follow ups, which I appreciate. Overall, I would definitely recommend this practice.

Our family loves Avance Care. We have been patients here for many years and have never had an unpleasant experience. The wait times are typically less than 10 minutes. The staff is always friendly. In my opinion the best part of the practice is Laura Nguyen, PA! She is wonderful. She spends as much time as I need to discuss my plan of care. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and most importantly kind.I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a welcoming and caring environment.

They are so nice here, from the sweet receptionist to the nurses and doctors. I love the options for hours and days and how fast they get you in and out! You wont be disappointed!!

Three out of four members of my family see Sarah Gray. She is willing to go above and beyond for her patients. The lab staff is terrific too! With extended hours and weekend appointments available it definitely cuts down on urgent care and ER visits. Can’t say enough good things about this practice and Ms. Gray.

This office has went downhill since Avance took over. Recently, I finally went to the doctor because I was desperate to see why I was feeling like I was feeling. Needless to say, after being ignored and brushed off, everything was blamed on weight. Not weight gain, because there was none. My body apparently has made all these unexplained changes, including concerning lab results, all on its own in 7 months. And no one there cared to find out why. Now I have to find a new physician! Hope Im not dying.

Thank you for the prompt appointment & thorough exam Avance Primary Care in Clayton!I was examined by Andrew B. & tested for COVID. My results was back in3 days. I was relieved when my test results were negative.

Dr. Michael Stadiem provides horrible service. I brought up information I had read on the NIH (National Institute of Health) website during the visit. He didnt want to acknowledge my reading. He became so upset that I was knowledgeable...he walked out of the room rudely. He didnt try to have discussion. He went to the desk of other employees and talked badly about me.He has on several occasions talked horribly about Duke Healthcare and even wouldnt send referrals there for me. He has petted me on the head in the past. Im an adult not a child or dog/pet.July 24, 2020 visit

Cant say enough good things about this office... The staff are great, but just know if you have an appt. later than 2;00, you will have a wait.BIG shout out to Dr. Michael Stadiem. He is really wonderful and will listen to you!!!He spends a lot of time with you. He is open to homeopathic treatments. I had a inflammation on my ribs, from an old injury.He has a medical salve, that he rubbed on the affected area. After 10 minutes of massage with this, my pain was gone. He even give website to where I can purchase it. Thanks Doc !!!!!

Ive been with Dr. Tanks practice since she she took it over from Dr. Fan. Im also a Registered Nurse. Ive always been treated professionally and the staff is great! My daughter and I saw Sarah Gray, PA yesterday for the first time and she was awesome! She was positive had very good solutions to the issues at hand. I fully recommend this practice.

The employees of Advance Care Clayton are very nice and efficient, and work great together as a team. The environment is friendly and welcoming, and patient care is their number one priority.

The MAs, front staff, docs and extenders are nothing short of amazing ! Oh, and management is like no other. you can definitely tell this place is ran by good people who really care for their patients and staff .. which is hard to find these days !!!!

I visited this medical facility for my annual checkup. I wasnt looking forward for the visit. Ms. Lea Lott made it easy and suggested natural remedies. All the staff was kind and timely. Very punctual. Next year I will select this facility again. I recommend this place for sure.

Dr. Tank is great. She really takes the time with her patients, and she is very caring and passionate about what she does. She listened to everything I had to say, made suggestions and recommendations, and made sure I understood everything before we moved on.

I have seen 4 different providers over the years and I have had the best treatment each time. I have never had trouble getting an appointment and they are always very welcoming.

Avance Care Clayton, NC is amazing! I had horrible experiences with finding a great primary care practice and am go glad that I chose Avance Care Clayton Office! I have had the best care from the physicians and from everyone working in the office. The facility is always clean and I get quick services. Being able to book appointments on Satyrdays is a plus so I do not have to change my work schedule at all. I love how everyone is so supportive at Avance Care-Clayton!

I was sick and unable to get into the Primary care group I have been with for almost 2 years. I started searching online for doctors who could take on new patients. I found Avance Primary Care, and Dr. Stadiem. He was available and very knowledgeable, and took the time to ask me questions about my health concerns. I have come back for lab work and a Medicare annual physical. I appreciate that all the office staff is kind, understanding and that they do all they can to accommodate me for visits in the time slots that best meet my needs. A great doctor and a great group !

I became a new patient with Avance Primary Care and I am absolutely highly recommending the practice! I am a patient at the Clayton location and I adore all the office staff for their professionalism and compassion! They are quick about making an appointment after actually listening to your issue. I will say I am a bit biased about that location although I am quite sure all the other locations are just as great. Ms. Sarah Gray is my provider and she is positively by far the best! Hands down she rocks!

I have been working for Avance Care Clayton for almost 2 years, and this is a great location with awesome providers. The office admin is very attentive and accommodating to our needs. If you are looking for a new provider we have MDs, PAs and NPs. Love the total body approach to modern medicine and alternative options with many vitamins and supplements available in the office.

I absolutely love Sarah Gray. She is so bubbly, she truly listens, she is understanding of each persons lifestyle (I have 3 children that keep me busy with limited time on my hands) and explains things throughly. It has been a long time since I have felt 100% comfortable with a health care provider and she has made me actually WANT to go to the doctor. 😀 The girls at the front are so nice and always friendly. BEWARE:FRAUDULENT BILLING!!!!!I have been a patient since before Avance bought them. It’s been at least 6 years. I have always paid cash for my visits. Since Avance bought them I have had 5-6 fraud charges. I was told a testosterone lab was 65. Then I get a bill for over 300! They would not honor their agreement and because I needed my meds I had to pay the incorrect bill. Then my wife comes in and Chris (Who made me pay the over 300 bill) tells my wife a blood test would be 100. We get a bill for 898!! They fixed that bill and then most recently I paid 150 for a visit and 65 for my blood test. I was told the results visit was included like it always has been. I missed a Telemedicine follow up for my blood labs and I get charged 100! I spent weeks disputing that bill and demanded login records for the Telehealth visit. They had none!!! I demanded clinical notes from Jessica the PA and it clearly said it was a follow up!!!! Kayla tells me I have to pay it. I speak to manager and he tells me he is removing the charge and I should go elsewhere for my meds! After 6 years and paying cash they drop me just like that over their error! Office is professional and very nice staff. The front girl, Jessica, is very kind and informative.

Arrived here 9 minutes late and they refused to see me. I even called to let them know that I was trying to locate the office and that I was running behind and if they knew at that moment that they would refuse to see me, they should have notified me then and there. We just recently relocated to this area. Clearer instructions on where the specific office is located would be helpful. They also refused to see my husband a few weeks ago saying he has a co-pay when he clearly does not with our insurance. They just lost potential patients as well as my entire family and friends as we will not be revisiting here.

This location has been nothing less than phenomenal since my son and I transferred our care to them earlier this year. They offer SO many extras that other Drs do not, such as their weekend and evening appointment times and specialized nutrition treatment. I definitely recommend the location and especially Torok. She is amazing!

Dr. Tank is a great physician! She really does care about her patients and not only about their chronic conditions (which she is great at managing) she also cares about your home life and environment that may be affecting your health, which many physicians do not take the time to do. She takes her time with us and truly cares about making us better, suggesting not only medications, but lifestyle changes. She offers a great program for losing weight and becoming healthier, with an abundance of healthy recipes and vitamins. Nutrition is very important to me and I can tell it is very important to her as well, she even offered me a few of her own recipes she makes at home! I would definitely recommend Dr. Tank!!!!!!

Being a previous patient of Family Wellness, the transition to Avance Care was slightly different, to what I could see would be very frustrating to patients. However, after months of the staff and providers getting all the adjustments corrected in the transition, I feel as though this office has succeeded into a very prosperous medical facility. NEVER have I felt that my needs, care or diagnoses were not important to any provider I have seen. I believe that the office staff are extremely nice and helpful, whether it be a phone call, or a friendly smile at the door. I recommend this office to any one of any need.

I have been a patient of Dr Tanks for over 5 years. I find her treatments for my needs have always been centered around a holistic approach. She is an excellent physician and I cant state this highly enough! The staff have also made an impression on me as they are extremely personable and try to accommodate my appointments around my schedule or needs. This practice has expanded to the Raleigh area which is also great, as I moved from Garner to Raleigh thus its so convenient. The new office is beautiful!

The providers at Avance Care are terrific. A special shout out to PA Laura Nguyen. She listens to my needs and desires. Her first reaction to treating chronic illnesses is not to medicate. She has worked with me as I made lifestyle changes and it has worked. My only concern is the front desk. The staff is perfectly nice and professional but it sometimes takes a while to be checked in and to answer a phone call. The staff works hard; probably need more of them or to readjust duties.

Avance Care Clayton is an awesome practice! I see Lea Lott, PA-C and she always listens to my complaints, is easy to talk to, and is very knowledgable. The staff is awesome as well and handles any issues promptly!

I will not be coming back to this practice. Ive notified the office manager that pts dont appreciate two scribes, who Ive never seen before, come into the room with the provider. There is no privacy, and I wont discuss my personal issues with my dr in front of a room full of people. Two young girls, early 20s, walked into the room, with no introduction. The provider was irritated when I asked questions, and spent more time talking to the two young girls, than to me. When she did talk to me, it was a one-sided conversation. I felt she was more interested in selling me over a hundred dollars of supplements, than my actual care. My cardiologist said the supplements were a waste of money. I wont be back.

Their patients are top priority! i love it! very friendly environment every time i come in!

My Mom went here to establish herself with a clinic after moving here from Kentucky. I accompanied her for her visit and personally input her information on a provided computer which they said would make everything simpler. She saw a PA that she was very pleased with and was told her a prescription for her blood pressure medicine would be called in to a local pharmacy. She also asked that they send a prescription to her mail in service. This has been a MONTH ago and she cannot get her medication. The office keeps losing her information! She finally had to make a trip there just to give them all her information for the third time! My mother now has 3 of her blood pressure pills left and still no medication! Obviously she will never be back. This clinic should be investigated. Gross negligence and incompetence.

I had an appointment with Dr. Vaidya-Tank for multiple complex conditions. Shes been able to not only accurately diagnose them but treat them and allow me to feel better than I have in years. The office staff was extremely friendly. The office was very clean and cared for and I felt attended to throughout my appointment.I have multiple family members who come to the clinic and will definitely recommend her to anyone I know looking for a primary doctor.

Ive seen three of the doctors there for various reasons and have never been disappointed. I havent had a primary doctor in 10 years and that changed once I got to Avance Care. Clean facility, friendly staff, and PAs who really listen and care with great bedside manner. I would recommend to everyone

I recently visited the Clayton location to address a pain I was having in my lower back. Laura was very helpful and caring. Before I left she made sure all my questions were answered. Michelle was her nurse I believe, and she was great as well. She walked with me to the checkout area and made sure my follow up was done! Overall, My visit went great

I have been going here for over eight years. Yes like all Doctors office they have there ups and downs. When I have had a down they promptly solved the problem when I let them know. I have recommended this place to friends and they go their now also and love it. I have it set up where I see the same PA every time and she takes care of me. The Doctor keeps up with whats going on and intervenes when neccessary cause she has done that in the past. Love the staff and people working here.

Update: Unfortunately I will have to revise my review with Avance Primary Care. Today I had an appointment to get blood work done. After checking in and filling out some paperwork, I sat down to wait to be seen. After some time had gone by, I noticed that the clock was showing 8:50a and realized that it had been 20 minutes since I should have been seen AND that 5 other patients who came in after me also to get blood work done had gone back and left. My appointment was for 8:30a and I had arrived early. A little concerned why I had not been called yet, I approached check-in. After asking when I will be seen and why I hadnt been seen already, the lady at the front desk just started staring at her computer with no response other than um. At that moment, I knew that I had been skipped/forgotten about and decided I had to cancel my appoint and follow up appointment. Mind you, I took off work to make this appointment and was treated with no care or concern of my time from this office. I mentioned to the lady at check-in that if they care to retain me as a customer, to have the office manager call, but after how I was treated today, I feel doubtful this will occur. I understand that mistakes happen, but when you have a customer approach you with really just a concern, and you are unable to respond in a way that is professional and apologetic of what really was probably a mistake, theres a problem. Customer service matters! Unfortunately, the customer service here has diminished over the years and Im sad to say that I will no longer be a patient of this clinic.Review posted 2 years ago: Avance Primary Care has been our family doctor’s office for a few years now. They provide excellent care and have a friendly office staff.

Today I saw Laura because Dr Tank wasn’t in. Laura was so nice & knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable. All the rest of the ladies there today were very nice as well. 👍🏻👍🏻

Great office! They really care! Dr Tank is truly amazing and she is very through and tries to evaluate your whole health. This place is the real deal of you want proactive not reactive care!

Very routine. The staff from start to finished seemed to be less than enthused about their jobs. They certainly do not offer a warm atmosphere. My son saw Jason, he was okay - did what was needed but seemed to be in a hurry. The nurse or medical assistant (not sure which) seemed like she wished she didnt have to deal with us (we are easy to work with) and the staff at the front desk never made eye contact. However, the office was very nice and very clean and I was happy to see the natural supplements behind the counter. My son doesnt want to return and Ill continue to look for a family practice that seems happy to see paying patients and happy about their jobs.** update - I now see Dr. Tank and she has greatly helped my energy levels and her more holistic approach. She is quiet but her functional medicine approach is much more effective than other doctors in the area. She caught my daughters autoimmune and thyroid condition that other doctors didnt. She is very expensive if you dont have insurance but its worth it to get better results. Dont expect tons of friendliness here if thats what youre after. And if you have a bill, you wont know it until over a year later so be ready for it. Despite the negatives, I feel better than I have in a long time thanks to Dr. Tank.

I have been a patient there for a couple of years, and have never had a negative experience there. I was actually very impressed with the way the office runs. However, came there today due to incredible pain in my back, so much so I could not walk upright. I was in the exam room waited 40 minutes, so I stuck my head out of the door to ask how much longer. The provider that was to see me was going in a room with another patient. Not one person let me know I would be waiting. I had a 6 pm appointment, it was now 6:40. I have worked in doctors offices for 30 years and totally understand running behind. I would have though , just common courtesy , that someone could have let me know how long the wait was. Especially Since I was in obvious excruciating pain & can hardly walk. I am very disappointed & should have just went to urgent care. Not so impressed by this office anymore.

I have always had a wonderful experience at Dr.Tank’s office. I would recommend Avance Care in Clayton. They have good medical knowledge and expertise and are very friendly. They engage each patient with care and compassion.

There is one PA who just wants to make the hospital money. Ordering unnecessary tests. Taking my blood and testing only for two test instead my regular every three months blood work which all tests are done. I needed her to fill out a short term disability form for me. She, Laura Nguyen told me I would have to come in for a visit in order for her to fill it out. Just to fill out a form? She treated me and had notes so why did she get amnesia all of a sudden? When Laura went on vacation PA Gray saw me and filled my form out. She was a breath of fresh air. But PA Nguyen please stay away from. I will never forgive her for the way she treated me.

Ive been a patient of Dr Tanks office since before it was Dr Tanks office ( the practice was previously Dr Jack Fans). Ive always felt I was welcome and well cared for during the 20+ yrs of my relationship with them. Christie and the rest of the front office team have gone out of their way to get me slotted into the schedule if Ive needed to see someone quickly and Ive had good ongoing support with routine items like prescription refills, etc. I highly recommend their office... no matter who has ended up treating me, they have all been professional, capable and kind.

Let me just start off by saying that many people that work for Avance care are nice and competent. However there are some major problems. The Clayton doctor in charge of the clinic, Dr. Viadia-Tank, suggests that she is an expert on a condition called MTHFR which is a genetic mutation that affects many chemical processes in your body and can lead to many serious disorders and death when not handled properly. I went to advance care for several years whereas they knew of all my physical health conditions but never looked for an underlying cause. It took a PA from another practice to look for and find the very common genetic mutation that can cause so many other health problems in 40 % of the population. The doctor touts her experience of treating the condition for over 12 years. However, the doctor turns out to have very limited knowledge of the complicated chain of chemical reactions and how each one can be affected. I apparently learned more in a few weeks of heavy study then the doctor knows. She doesnt like to be questioned nor will she seek out specialists to refer you to. I couldnt even get this doctor to return my lab results or answer some simple questions on the condition. When I went to see another doctor in the clinic, she had the office manager send me a letter terminating a doctor-patient relationship. They made up excuses that I said something inappropriate and through several inquiries with the Avance bus. office, I could not get any specifics. It was suggested I left a voice message complaining that they had given my personal medical information to an outside company they use called Quartet so that they could solicit me. Apparently, I left the word BS on their answering machine. I just think it is crazy, how little their doctor knows, or how unprofessional they are with responding to follow up care or referrals when they dont know the answers. I would strongly advise not using this doctor at Avance or at the other practice that she owns called Regenisis-Alternative Medicine in Raleigh. Just watch how they try to cover this up in their response.
