Ive been seeing Dr Fakadej for over 11 yrs. When I moved to Clayton, NC from Northern Virginia I did an online search for doctors in my area that I felt would be good for my specific medical needs. I made appointments with 2 other doctors in the Clayton area before making an appointment with Dr Fakadej. She has treated me very professionally and has always listened intently to my problems and gave great treatment and advice. On visit to specialists that I have gone to or other medical professionals that I have seen, when they ask me who my primary care physician is and I tell them that it is Dr. Maria Fakadej, they have responded Wow, youre very lucky, shes a great doctor. Recently my daughter was having all sorts of issues with her primary care and I suggested that she switch to Dr. Fakadej. She went to her first appointment about a month ago and returned telling me how good Dr. Fakadej is compared to primary care doctors she has seen in the past. I would be remiss in not mentioning the staff that Dr. Fakadej has. Theyve always been professional with me and assisted me in seeing specialists when the need arises. They are friendly and caring. Everything a good physicians office requires. Thank you Dr Fakadej.

Dr Fakadej is a high energy personality, but takes the time to ask the right questions and seeks out the right treatments. I have been going to her 4 years and she is very good. She flies through the office (or runs paperwork out the door to a patient that forgot it) but when she is in the room with her patient, she is focused and quick to suggest a course of treatment or recommend a specialist.

Dr. Fakadej did not address my concerns in the slightest. I was a massage therapist suffering from nerve damage due to repetitive motion injury. I tried to tell her that my husband had a long term injury and that I had ignored my own pain for some time. We also juggle three children. When I came back a week later and let her know the steroids upset my stomach and I was in more pain she treated me like a drug seeker and acted like the pain in my wrist forearm and elbow was not a concern. The next day I saw a orthopedic doctor who actually listened to what I was saying. I would not recommend her if you are looking for any kind of personal experience or concern.

They changed the address and did not inform me. When I called from the empty office, without knowing who Is calling the lady said she informed me when I took the appointment as if I had nothing to do on Monday morning and decided to waste my time by visiting the empty office. There were 3 other people with me and one of them was a new staff member who was supposed to start working with them from Monday morning. What a start!!! The lady did not apologize when I reached to the new location and handed me a form with lots of questions that were not relevant to examine me. I found it a little sneaky. Hope after all this ordeal the doctor is good.I am updating the review to add that the doctor is good. Depending on the time of the day the wait time varies and depending on the rush hour the doctor spends time answering the questions. She answers all the questions but she may be quick with it if there are too many patients.I no longer work in Clayton so I had to change my doctor but I was with her for 2 years, mostly for the annual checkups.

If I could give negative stars I would. The office staff was lovely, just to be clear. I wouldn’t want them getting any of the blame for this. Dr. Fakadej was my mother’s doctor for all of 2017. When we first came to Dr. Fakadej, something was already very wrong with my mother. She was clearly depressed, had anxiety and was suffering from memory problems. Naturally when we shared these symptoms with the doctor she concurred and diagnosed my mother with depression and anxiety. However, when I began to push and ask if other tests could be done to rule out any other causes of her memory problems, Dr. Fakadej was resistant and kept insisting it was the depression. She very quickly got her on a prescription antidepressant and that was it. She checked in once to see how the medication was working and showed literally zero interest or concern for whether my mother was improving in any significant way. When 2018 came, I switched my mother to a different insurance and changed doctors. My mother’s current doctor, Dr. Jessica Anderson with UNC Health is phenomenal! In less than 1 month seeing her, not only did she administer a memory evaluation exam but also sent my mother for an MRI which revealed a brain tumor! We are currently taking our next steps but to say the experience with these two doctors has been as different as night and day is an understatement. To the staff of UNC Health, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so caring and proactive in your medical practice.

I havent even seen Dr. Fakadej yet, and shes already cancelled my appointment twice. I dont care how good she is, my time is important, too. I have to take time off from work to be seen. This is extremely inconvenient. Ill find another PCP.
