We were going here for a little bit and continued to come despite our gut feeling about the wait time, cleanliness and communication from the doctors and staff. Multiple times I would bring my (then) foster sons in for well checks and the staff would ask me questions about their permanence plan in front of my boys. Now that we have guardianship we were thinking we would change pediatricians because the last time we were seen, I asked the doctor to refill my sons epi-pen and he told me that an expired epi-pen is better than none. While that may be true, schools, camps, etc will not accept expired medicine.I almost called a new practice to get my youngest his school physical but decided (against better judgement) that it would be easier to go here since we are established. I walked in and told them I would need a school physical and his 5 year well check and the front desk told me that they had us down for a 5 year well check but were changing it to a school physical appointment and would need to see us again in two weeks for a well check, I asked why they didnt tell me this when I made the appointment and why we couldnt combine since they are checking for the same things anyways and the front desk told me I would have to ask the doctor because he has to fill out a form it would have to be two separate visits. I was irritated but scheduled an appointment anyways. Our appointment was at 1:00pm, we were brought back into the room at 1:06pm, the first time a nurse came into the room was at 2:30 pm and then by 2:48, I decided we would not be waiting any longer so we walked out. We wasted an hour and half before even being seen by a nurse and waited almost 2 hours with no word from the doctor. We will not be returning, and I recommend anyone who is interested in this practice to run FAR AWAY.

Absolutely the worst Doctor in North Carolina. I don’t recommend anyone. Unprofessional and disorganized staff. Poor time management and the wait is absolutely too long when there are barely any patients.I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS PLACE IS STILL OPEN.

Long waiting time. Every apt we end up waiting over an hour to be seen. Even when on a time crunch with work. Mediocre care literally wait all that time to be talked to for 10 mins and then done.

Absolutely rude and unprofessional. He doesnt take the time with his patients or listen to their parents at all. I wait there for almost 2 hours for my son to be seen and he spends not even 5 minutes with him. And didnt even take any action. If looking for a pediatrician I highly reccomend looking elsewhere if you are white. Not trying to be rude but even the other patients parents come Ted how ridiculous this is.

We found Clayton Pediatrics Center when looking for a doctor that accepts patients with no insurance, and doesnt insist on your child getting all vaccines. This place fit the bill. The staff is friendly, bilingual, and professional. The doctor is very thorough, takes the time to explain everything, and is very pleasant. Weve never had a bad experience. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Our 5 yo son was extremely sick with a strain of a virus that was probably the result of this horrendous cold/hot crazy NC weather. We bought all the best OTC medicine/ pedialyte, you name it but our son wasnt getting any better and had us very worried. When we came to see Dr. K our son actually fainted during the exam from how weak he had gotten. We were very impressed with how Dr. K managed the situation. This man knows his stuff! He immediately reduced our sons fever and had him hydrated in no time. He allowed our son to lay and sleep in the exam bed and came to check in on him and hydrate him every 15 min. We felt that he really cared. His experience is invaluable! HIGHLY recommended!

After much searching i found it!.... A Dr. that trusts a parents feelings about not wanting to slam their children full of needless, potentially damaging vaccines! So after transferring my 4 kiddos to this practice in December, we went in for visit last week (May). In all fairness it was a sick visit, so my son was a walk-in patient @ 3pm. The wait in lobby was looooong! The longer we sat the more it seemed that we were the only English as first language family there! “Way to go Mom!” my 12 yo said as we laughed. It was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Dr. Khalek is amazing! He is 1 of 2 PCPs that I have encountered in 20 yrs of pediatricians who care about patients health, comfort & pt understanding diagnosis. He is bilingual & FLUENT in English.I’d also like to add that I too noticed him sitting at desk upon checking in & (much like previous reviewer) immediately let that frustrate me, BUT once he thoroughly & quickly diagnosed my son with allergy induced asthma I immediately realized he wasn’t “taking another break” he was notating his pt care into their charts💡 not passing that dreadful duty to a nurse to screw it up! WAY TO GO DOC!

The Dr is not bad... but will have a 30 minute wait minimum to even be called back. Then another 30 for the dr to come to room. So instead of an appointment u have a come in and wait on us cause we dont care about your time. I just said something the dr is sitting back taking a break!
