This experience was horrible. My children was going to be new patients. The front desk was rude and was not helpful at all. I was told that my children was assigned to a difference offices. When my insurance office tried to call them they never answer the phone. I tried calling and didn’t get an answer. Went back to ask if they could approve an immediate transfer she told me no. This office is unconsidered of other people time. Sad part is the office was dingy, dull and had piles of magazine every where. I would not recommend this office to my enemies dog.

I took my daughter to Esther Beeks from the time she was age 2 to age 16 (when they relocated) you did have to get there early to avoid a crowed waiting room but she was sincere in her dentistry work. I never felt uneasy or like I was being given the wrong information regarding my childs dental health. I did not have fancy insurance or Medicaid ... I was a cash patient and she made it very affordable knowing I was a single mother. I will always be greatful to her and send her best wishes. ... By the way, ... my daughters new dentist even commented she has obviously been in good hands.

I made an appointment with this office 2.5 weeks out. I told the person over the phone my insurance information under the impression that my insurance would be verified prior to my appointment. I was told that I would receive an appointment confirmation, which I did not receive until 45 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. This seemed a bit strange to me, but not that big of a deal. I already did my due diligence and looked up the address when I scheduled the appointment. The office was easy to find, but I was not impressed with the lack of cleanliness of the office. Still, I did not make a big deal about it. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment with the anticipation that I would have to fill out paperwork seeing that I was a new patient. The front desk receptionist did hand me the paperwork, I completed it and sat down to wait. I could hear loud talking in the back which sounded like the Dentist and the front desk worker having some sort of debate. Shortly after, the receptionist called me to the desk only to tell me that they cannot provide services for me because whoever wrote down my appointment put in my insurance information wrong and I was not on the list. I kept asking what the list was and I just kept getting a vague answer as if I was suppose to be aware of this list situation that apparently comes from the provider. We both agreed that their office was in network, so I was not clear on why there needed to be a list. After 7 minutes of me trying to figure out how I get on this list, I called my insurance company. The insurance company gave me a clearer explanation and stated that they could call the dentist office immediately and do what is called an immediate transfer which would allow me to be seen right away. I was still at the dentist office at this time and the dentist office was aware. I was on hold with the insurance company while they called the dentist office to do the immediate transfer. The office told them that they will not accept an immediate transfer because they did not have time to do it. That was strike 3 for me with dealing with this office. They proved to be unorganized, unprofessional, and inconsiderate of patients time. I wasted 2 hours of my day, not to mention it was my birthday, to sit in an office with individuals who did not do their job in verifying my insurance information prior to my arrival and showed no concern for the fact that I was at their office and my insurance had been verified by the insurer. For those reasons along with the lack of cleanliness of the office, I would not recommend this dentist office.

I took my foster children to this office for several years. There are very few dentists in this area that take Medicaid. When we we first started seeing Dr. Beeks, they were in a small filthy office. They then moved to a new dingy office with a bigger waiting room.... which is good, considering they consistently run 30-45 minutes behind. I have never once taken a child there and had them taken back within 5-10 minutes of their appointment time. The office is dingy. The medical equipment is old. The hygienists always have snarky attitudes and Dr. Beeks truly has no idea what she is doing. It took me a long time to realize that she doesn’t know how to do ANYTHING. She sent us to a different office to have cavities filled, crowns put on and spaced put on and removed. Actually, she tried to remove a spacer on my 8 year old.... all she had to do was snip off the wires on the spacer and file the ends down. Instead she tried to PEEL OFF THE METAL CROWN that the spacer was hooked on to. She didn’t numb my child. I finally had to leave and take my child to another dentist and have them finish the work she was unable to finish. At the new dentist, they x-rayed the tooth. Dr. Beeks pulled so hard on the tooth she ended up breaking the root on that molar. The break was bad enough that they had to sedate her and completely pull out the tooth. The new dentist was shocked at what Dr. Beeks had attempted to do.Needless to say, we no longer see Dr. Beeks. There are other qualified Medicaid dentists in the STL area. Keep looking. Do not put your child through a visit with this practice. Is really scary I’m so many ways.

I have taken daughter here for several years as shes on medicaid and pediatric dentists who accept that are hard to find. I felt confident that they cleaned her teeth and did an Ok job.Their office is always PACKED with patients, sometimes standing room only. This visit in May was on a day they were CLEARLY running late but the receptionist never told anyone that. We waited an hour past our appt time before being called back to the room. Our visit last month came as a shock when magically she now needs several fillings and the hygienist never came in. Instead the (very nice) dentist came in and ATTEMPTED to clean her teeth. I think my 5 yr old could do a better job by herself if I let her. She barely brushed the front teeth, hardly looked inside her mouth and never even thought about flossing them. VERY odd and not normal. Then they take Xrays and mention Oh dear, shes going to need several fillings.. Never mentioned anything at the last cleaning 6 months ago. They couldnt tell me how many either, just kept it with several.I left horrified because I think we have a good brushing routine, I brush them, and are aware of the dos and donts. Paid out of pocket to have a second opinion from my dental office. They said she needs a filling (and a possible crown) in every molar - eight total. That was after they had to retake Xrays because the ones THIS office sent to them were TOO BLURRY to read.I then took her to a third office (after I found another Medicaid accepting office with good reviews) who says she needs 2 crowns and 6 fillings. They also said these had been growing for a while - didnt just happen in the last 6 months. That means THIS office failed to see them, failed to inform me, and failed to take any action. CLEARLY they are understaffed, overwhelmed with the number of patients they are seeing AND I dont even know if they can do much more than maybe a cleaning? Cant even take clear X-rays on a perfectly still child. Now my 5 yr old has to endure multiple office visits to correct damage they could have stopped early on.Lengthy, yes I know, but this is important stuff. I will be filling a formal complaint with my daughters insurance company and NOT returning to this office. Dr. Beeks is a nice lady, always chatty and friendly, but clearly she needs to retire.
