I like the staff and care but calling to get in to see the staff will take at least 20-30 minutes. Wish there was an easier way to schedule appointments.Very disappointed in call times.

When you express your displeasure about how long it takes for HealthSource of Ohio: Eastgate Pediatrics to answer the phone consistently and the fact that they never have anything available for AT LEAST 2-3 months from the time you try to book an appointment, then you get a positive covid test result late saturday afternoon. Dont even think of following quarantine protocol and calling first thing monday morning as soon as they open to cancel your monday appointment because they will indeed drop you from the practice months later last minute right before your next appointment and make it miserably difficult to obtain records to find a new doctor within your network who is taking new patients.I dont care how many others go here and have had a good experience, All Ive known from this office is 30 minute hold times on the phone, attitude from the desk staff, Zero treatment only poorly thought out and misguided referrals, and 2-3 months for the next appointment available.

Always a battle getting them to listen. My daughter has cognitive delay and they said she is just strong willed. Refuse to do any referrals to other doctors.

I want to start off by saying I loved them & never had a issue, and my oldest has seen Dr Schaffeld going on 9 years! Since the day she was born!But sadly now I have two incidents I’ve had in less then a month when it comes to scheduling at Health source Eastgate.The first incident involves my 3 week old daughter, they gave me such a hard time while I was in the hospital after giving birth to Schedule her first appointment. The actual words from the lady at the other end was “we think it’s better she stay in the hospital” because all pediatrician offices know babies need they visit scheduled before the pediatrician at the hospital will let them leave. My daughter did finally get her apt though..My second incident involves my son, this one really is what set me off because clearly us getting healthcare there is just not going to happen. Thursday August 13 he was visiting grandmas and dropped a paint can on his toe cutting it right on the cuticle bed. He was rushed to children’s who fixed it up, because of how severe the cut was and the nature we were told to follow up with primary care with the first week; then again at 14 days to remove stitches. When I talked to the scheduler she first told me “we don’t do Er follow ups” then offered me a video appointment for the 14 day one. Then when I told her I needed stitches removed at 14 days she told me I could always just take him to urgent care.Every child deserves healthcare. After finding a new drs office I come to realize this is the only one giving parents a hard time scheduling.Highly recommend the dr hopefully one day she will be smart enough to leave such a horrible practice. She is truly a amazing doctor!

My wife just called to make my boys there yearly check up appointments. Every time the receptionist would ask a question my wife wasnt sure about she would blow and sigh into the phone. Very unprofessional and just down right rude. This will be the last time my kids go here.

Where should I start 🤔 I have seen alot of unprofessional antics but these individuals here take the award. You would think that in the medical and health profession you would have a level of professionalism that shows your dedication and reflects the standing of the institution well this place is nothing more than a number crunching company with finance at its forefront and not the best interest of the patients who are apart of the community in which they serve. This is not a retail establishment where clothing is purchased this is where you take you children to become and stay healthy where you go to get informed and suppose to create a relationship with a doctor to grow with your child. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE !!!!! If you value your patient rights and want them acknowledged when you apply them or YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED when you are communicating with staff this is not the place. This place should be really looked at and I urge those who have had negative experiences to contact the proper office to report this behavior it is not acceptable nor should it be tolerated by the community and or medical standards placed by the medical board of the State of Ohio. Make sure to take your kids somewhere they and you will be respected and comfortable when seeking medical attention.Dont pay to be disrespected with poor healthcare evaluations and RUDE and unprofessional staff.

Never take your child here. They treated my child like an after thought, didn’t send necessary paperwork about my child’s allergies or medical background to the specialist when my child needed surgery. You’ll spend a crazy amount of time in the waiting room and exam room before you’re ever seen. I missed one appointment due to an emergency and had a letter in the mail denying my child care. Not to mention they prescribed a medication to my child he shouldn’t have been on because they never update their charts. Stay away from this place.

Dr Schaffeld is the best pediatrician I could ask for for my son! She takes her time to understand whats going on with him emotionally and physically and has wonderful bedside manner. He feels completely comfortable with her and always leaves happy. I love that!

We see Dr. Brandi and she is wonderful. When my son was first born he got really sick. When i called the office and told them what was going on they said take him to Childrensand thankfully Dr. Brandi knew something was seriously wrong he had viral meningitis.

We started out going here as soon as my son was born. We see Dr.Long. I have tried repeatedly to switch his doctor to another doctor there. Its been nothing but a mess every time I bring it up. You should feel confident and comfortable with your child doctor. And we dont. We dont feel as if she listens when we have concerns. They are always dismissed, and we end up at the er or right back at another office. She is always short and just not very friendly. Not a great vibe when trying to get your child to be comfortable at the doctors. Trying to make a appointment for vaccines is always a headache too. its always 6 week or more out, which is a joke to me. Im finally at my last straw with them when again, his records were incorrect in there system. They wanted to schedule him for vaccines hed had a year ago. I had to bring in my own copy of his record so they could get theirs straight. Im done with this place.

Im so pleased with this staff and location. They are kind and listen. Really seem to care about kids and what we are saying. Some of the doctors are just okay but most are A++. Love doctor Dammert and would recommend

I would not recommend this place because they no longer see sick patients since Covid 19. My son went in for a well child visit and was turned away bc he had a fever. He is 1 year old! Several weeks ago they prescribed him Amoxicillin over the phone for a ‘maybe’ ear infection. And now they refuse to see him until June. I assumed this was the practice of all pediatricians but the first office I called quickly assured me that NO that’s not ok and they are seeing him tomorrow. Fever and all.

We have been going here for close to ten years and have never had a poor experience. Wait times have not been excessive, and the staff has always been quick and polite with us.

I am NOT IMPRESSED! My daughter has went here since she was first born in March so I have tried to give a few chances. She sees Dr. Long. She is treated like a number and things are just guessed instead of actually doing testing. Every concern I have is dismissed that its something else. My daughter STILL crys and screams every, single, day and I was told that its just heartburn and heres a script of DISGUSTING ranitidine that an adult couldnt even handle the taste (Yes I tried it cause it smelled like robitussin. Now I know why my daughter chokes on it and tries to cough it all out.) There is no way this is just Heartburn!The receptionist are rude as can be and act like they hate thier job! Theres a heavier set one thats younger, wears glasses with black hair and she has been the rudest! I was the only person in the waiting room and I was in the chair directly in front of the desk. She purposely made me keep getting up to approach the desk (Noy even 2 feet away) to ask me the most stupidest questions like Address change, is this your correct number, do u have the new card. Every time I sat down she would do it again. I can understand Hippa but it was like she was getting joy out of it because I got rude and said I am right here, theres no need to come up. She snapped back and said Its policy. Kinda funny no other receptionist has EVER asked me repeated questions and ever made me get up and keep caring my 3 month old over to the desk. The nurses that are supposed to help you over the phone are rude too! They act like your a bother because you have a question.If you want your child cared about I would strongly suggest somewhere else! My daughter went here 10 years ago when they were at the old building and they were nice. Thats why I decided to try them again but I see that was a mistake.

Worst doctors and staff!!!! If you value your childrens health and wellbeing, do not go there! If I could rate this office any lower than one star, I certainly would! They are horrible!

We see Brandi. I love Brandi so does my son. But when we have emergencies and have to come in twice now she wasnt there. No big deal. I understand. Twice now my son has seen Dr. Jaskiewics, I have had bad experiences both times. She makes me not want to come back.

My daughter has been going here for 8 years, who is now 16, she loves them. We both go to the dentist here also, they are a great team and work very very well together!!!!

2 of my children went to Eastgate Pediatrics from the time they were born, and after 6 years we are finally moving on to a new practice. Waking into this office I never once felt from the staff any sort of welcoming feeing. Upon being greeted you are almost certain to not get a smile, eye contact, or a look how big he/she is getting! from their staff.I was dismissed from my childrens doctor for having to reschedule an appointment twice. And while I will take full blame for not giving ample time to cancel and reschedule that appointment, I refuse to accept not being given some sort of warning from the office that consequences of being dismissed follow when canceling an appointment.If you want to experience a nurturing clinical staff and physician, this is not the place to be.

All Doctors and nurses were very nice and professional! My 14 yrs old really likes them.

I give it a five because I simply love our doctor. Dr. Sheffield never has an attitude when I call her in the middle of the night. Even if my concern seems mild. We left this office five years ago due to multiple bad experiences with the medical assistants. Since returning I can honestly say it has been a 100% turn around. The staff is very professional and make the experience a great one (referring to the MAs) Even front desk smiles when we come in. They dont ask how my kid is doing like another reviewer complained about, but honestly that doesnt bother me at all. They have a lot of kids in a day and they deal with a lot at the front desk. Im thankful for the smile. Keep it up Eastgate peds, and I think the Doctors Are VERY knowledgable....I have felt pressured by one doctor at one point to get the flu shot for my kids, but it was so mild it honestly wasnt anything to feel taken back by. I saw all these negative reviews and wanted to shine some light. Maybe they need some encouragement rather than negativity...we dont see all the things they see in a day. Prayers for the medical staff, management, and front desk. Keep it up. Youre doing great.

I love this place. My daughter has a rare genetic metabolism disorder and every time we need to get in rt away we do. She sees Dr Dammert. From the very first appointment at just a week old Dr Dammert was up to speed on her disorder and had made sure she even talked to her genetics doctors before seeing my daughter. She always thinks of things I would have never thought about when it comes to any problems my daughter is having. When I call with a major problem the staff automatically puts me on the line with a clinic nurse because of my daughters rare condition. I always leave happy knowing they are on top of their game!

We really like Dr. Dammert, I use her for both my infant and my 7 year old.

The worst experience of my life! The office staff is rude to the 10th power and the Office Manager Ann is the cause! She is a crude authoritarian who demands that things go her way or she will make you and your children pay! She will speak down to you and your children and if you call the office with concerns she will hang up on you! Doctors assistant Brandi McConnell is just as bad! Little knowledge of childcare and very condescending. Protect your family and stay away from this place!

I made a well check visit and medication check appointment and they messed up and only scheduled the med check. They wanted me to pay my copay AND make another appointment or just make another appointment next month, leaving my son without his medication for a month, because they scheduled wrong. Unfortunately the office staff forced us to go to another provider because they refused to fix their mistake. Im taking three kids from the practice because they messed up. I have recommended the practice prior to this but will not do so again.

Doctors and staff that truly put patient care as a top priority.

Doctors arent very personable when it comes to talking and interacting with my kids, there is only one doctor there that we like and we dont always get to see her..the staff at the front desk..same way not the friendliest. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone i cared about..n sad thing is they dont care..so these reviews wont make them take a step back n try to change some things...

Horrendous treatment by receptionist. She was rude from beginning to end of the interaction. Would never recommend this office.

Poor front desk communication, the nurses and front desk answer call system are rude and give you more of a hard time than anything, all my kids started here and as time went on I saw how they treat family, allways rude over the phone and think there better than some one because they work there, Im am now removing all my children from this Dr office.

If you choose not to vaccinate; do not go to this office. They will try and fear monger you at every visit.

They take forever and make you wait in the room a ridiculous amount of time.

They are not located on Ferguson. They are in Mt Carmel
