Cincinnati Pain Physicians, is the best pain management clinic I have ever been to. I have been a patient for almost 3 years now. Dr. Gururau Sudarshan has really made great strides to build his clinic to be best around. Dr. G along with his new colleague Dr Feng, are amazing doctors with vast experience treating all types of pain issues, and have great bedside manners. They both really care about figuring out your pain issues as whole and working on ways to treat it. Their nursing & clinical staff are always super friendly and really care about their job and the patients they serve. I would highly recommend Cincinnati Pain Physicians to anyone who has legitimate pain issues that need treating!

Friendly staff. Nurses and Dr asked lots of questions to make sure they were meeting my needs. Not just pill pusher. Understands I just need to heal from major surgeries and my rheumatoid is slowing that down. I need to be active to not hurt but I also need to heal. They are supporting me and making sure we do this right.Even advised is the back surgeries don’t fix everything we still have options. A little hope for a long recovery ahead.

If I could give Dr. Sudarshan a 10 I would, I have never had a pain procedure before he was professional yet personable, gentle, explained everything and compassionate. He knows what he is doing! I felt better immediately, didnt expect that!Dr. Feng was the initial Dr. I saw in the office consultation he listened, was very helpful explained everything and knowledgable and he made a point to even come talk to me before my precedure the day of my epidural (for shingles)with Dr. Sudarshan :)That was very nice and unexpected.I would be remissied if I didnt mention the staff everyone was extremely professional, kind and caring....wish all office visits /procedures/PEOPLE were so kind.

I have been a patient with Cincinnati pain physicians for about 8 years. I rate Dr Sudarshan the highest rating for his commitment and kindness to his patients. He truly does care about each and every one of us. Without his understanding of real pain I would not have been able to survive day to day. He has been the only one who I would trust with my surviving a work car crash with multiple failed surgeries and the emotional toll that comes with that. Thankfully he has changed staff that we’re toxic to the practice. The new CNP is thorough and I can tell, will be a perfect change that was needed.

I went in for a back injection and as it was to be done through the tailbone I opted for anesthesia. I was limited in my scheduling choices as I needed someone to drive me. The first available appointment was around 12:30/1:00, which meant that I had nothing to eat or drink since approximately 7:00 pm the day prior. When they had placed the IV (in the back of my hand) I passed out and felt very sick. This was not the first IV I had had (two previous shoulder surgeries) and had never had this response. I figured that the response was my body protesting to the lack of food and fluids. I can be slightly hypoglycemic and if I dont eat regularly (within an hour or so) I will get a migraine and slightly shaky. The staff member placing the IV appeared to care, however the doctor (I dont remember his name) was rather rude and acted like it was an IV phobia. When I mentioned the lack of food or water he seemed surprised and asked why I hadnt had any which surprised me as that is standard operating procedure any time anesthesia is used. I had also been told the normal lines about nothing to eat or drink after midnight by his staff over the phone when they confirmed I would be able to make the appointment. Overall he was very flippant and rather rude standing right in front of me and basically mocking me. This would have been my fourth back injection so it was not something new for me. They ended up giving me 2 bags of IV fluid in what seemed like less than half an hour and then practically shoved me out the door, even though I was fairly unsteady on my feet.Overall I would not recommend them to anyone. I was able to reschedule my injection and was in a lot of pain afterwards. It has been almost a year since the injection and did not provide me with any further relief. Which was a major disappointment, especially when the doctor had said that my situation was an easy one to provide relief from the constant back pain.

Dr. Chandoke is the best pain doctor I have seen. He is very compassionate and has empathy for his patients, which is a trait that seems to be lost by a lot of doctors nowadays. He really cares about treating the pain issues as a whole. If you have serious pain that needs corrected, then trust that you will not be dissappointed with this doctor!

Dr. Sudarshan cares about your pain. They are not pill pushers. Very diligent in making sure you do not abuse medication. I received a spinal cord stimulator implant but only after a trial to make sure it would work for me. Have had it for almost two months and it has changed my life. I am able to do more now than I have been able to do for a year with far less pain.

Ive been dealing with severe chronic pain for about 10 years now. I ended up leaving the practice. It was the worst decision Ive ever made regarding my condition. Ive been to other pain specialist since then. The care I received from Dr. Chandoke from 1-10 would be a 10! I see now he is the one doctor that really looked out for my well being. He is a straight forward pain specialist. He dont play games. He always does what is in the best interest of each individual patient. Dr. Chandoke dont base his treatment plan around filling his pockets with money. Dr. Chandoke puts the time in to really get to know his patients. Ive never met a more compassionate pain specialist ever. I regret the day I left his practice. Dr. Chandoke tells you how it is, good or bad. He dont sugarcoat anything. If you can get Dr. Chandoke to be your pain specialist- I promise you will happy and very well taken care of according to your specific condition. Replying to his bedside manors... He is not an arrogant uncaring Specialist. He is confident and it shows. He is excellent at what he does and he has no time for patients that dont want to follow his prodocol. Ive been dealing multiple pain specialist over the last 11 years. I can say without a doubt Dr. Chandoke is the best Pain Specialist Physician Ive ever expierenced. He puts the patients welfare first front and center. If he will accept me back as a patient, I will never do anything to jeopardize the physician/patient code ever again. Even if I cant return to his practice, I will always recommend Dr. Chandoke to others that are fighting severe chronic pain........ also to address the office staff revbeing rude. Ive never once experienced or seen that type of behavior. They are working in a very serious medical setting. I was always treated nice and respectful. The staff is there to do their job and be polite and friendly. However their not there to make a friendship with the patients. They have to be friendly but professional with their patients. The staff cant cross the line with a patient. That would be unfair to everyone. I personally think Dr. Chandoke is able to run such an outstanding practice because he has a fantastic staff behind him. I think if you had a bad experience with Dr. Chandoke, it was just bad timing or a misunderstanding. If my family and loved ones ever needed a pain specialist, Dr. Chandoke would be the the first name Id recommend.

I have never been treated like a paycheck in my life!! My pain control needs were not even considered. Pain is based on the individual and should be evaluated as such. Not Dr chandoke, he categorizes you from the rip n doesnt care if ur pain is being controlled or not. Never wanting to consider other alternative treatments. No matter what type of documentation you hAve to show how much pain your in. Your treated as a statistic and never as a person.

On 3/15/2017 I established myself as a new patient and was assigned to Dr. Atul Chandoke. Up on arriving to the office 5 minutes early me and a couple established patients had to wait in the freezing cold- They had the doors locked even with staff being inside refusing to open the door until opening hours. After finally being allowed to enter the office, I began my new patient paperwork packet. The ladies/nurses were extremely rude, rushing, and honestly didnt have any care about the debilitating pain their patients go through on a daily basis. When Dr. Chandoke came into the room his bedside Manor was arrogant, rude, and held no care in the world about a persons chronic pain. I was referred to him by my long term PCP in order to continue my proper medication, try extended physical therapy, and any other suggestions the Dr. may have wanted to try in order to give me a quality life back. Instead I was told a variety of things that werent understood and he wanted to do only injections- Injections that I have had over a number of years with no success and caused me further distress with the conditions I suffer from everyday of my life (since 1999)... He proceeded to slam his laptop telling me that this was his practice and became exceedingly ill-mannered. If you suffer from sever chronic pain and plan on seeking a better quality of life, THIS IS NOT THE PAIN MANAGEMENT GROUP FOR YOU- THINK BEFORE GOING!!! #SEVERLY DISAPPOINTED AND STILL SUFFERING UNTIL MY PCP GETS ME IN A SUITABLE PAIN CLINIC... #Good luck
