I went in for an introductory facial because I have been having some skin issues and it was starting to get overwhelming as I didn’t know how to take care of it or even where to start. The facility was clean and very calming. Lydia was absolutely amazing!!! If you are looking for someone who has your best interests in mind, can help educate, and give a calming & relaxing experience, she’s your girl!

I was a member of Hand and Stone Years ago before I moved to Cincinnati. I got out of a good habit. My Back started bothering me again and finally decided to go back in. I am so glad i did, Paris really helped my back and I know I need to make sure I continue to see him not just for what he does to fix my back but how it will impact the other stuff in my life!

I surprised my friend with a facial massage here and it was so easy to work with them and schedule an appointment for her! I wish I could give zero stars! This place is a scam! I went in a few weeks ago to get a massage. After the massage, I was offered their membership to lock in the monthly discounted massage. I SPECIFICALLY asked am I able to cancel at anytime WITHOUT penalties. TWO different employees reassured me that I can cancel at ANYTIME, as long as it is before the transaction has been processed. I called 10-12 days prior to my payment coming out and was told that I could not do so. They have to run the charge first and then I will not have any more charges.I feel PURPOSEFULLY mislead. Whatever you do, DO NOT sign up for their membership. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your money and Im sure they get commission for a person signing up. I spoke to a manager that said, I am sorry about that, this is something that we will need to consider in training. But due to you signing the agreement there is nothing we can do. That is not ownership for your employees mistake. I only signed with pretenses that I can cancel at any time. They still took the charge and I will NEVER go back to them, free massage and all. Horrible customer service, horrible training, and not an upstanding business. Take your money elsewhere

I had a wonderful massage with Dawn and I highly recommend her. Pressure was firm and technique was good. I deducted a star because like another reviewer, the massage definitely was not 60 minutes. I was called back 5 minutes after my appointment start time and the massage ended 10 minutes before the end of the hour. Additionally, I paid $10 extra for the foot treatment. In my opinion, time should be added on to my massage to accommodate the foot treatment, not included in my overall appointment time. Otherwise, one could just ask the massage therapist to focus on their feet and save $10. Yes a scrub, oils, etc. was included and was nice, but I really just wanted extra time spend massaging my feet. Not a big deal but the description of the treatment could be more clear and state that the treatment does not add time on to the massage. Overall, pleased with my visit and I will try them again.

So my first trip to Hand and Stone for a facial was not the best. I decided to come back and get another facial by a different esthetician. This time I had Lydia and let me tell you the experience was like night and day compared to my last one. I’m so glad I gave this place another chance because I received hands down the best facial I have ever had in my life. Lydia offered add ons (I chose the eye and lip) but was never pushy and didn’t try to be sneaky and add on things without my consent. Lydia was amazing at her job, and had so much knowledge of all the products and what I could and couldn’t use since I’m pregnant. I’ve already scheduled my next facial with her in a month!

I had my first facial yesterday and I’m hooked ! Hand and stone was a beautiful spa, everyone was nice and accommodating and I have never been so relaxed. My skin looked gorgeous after and I left with a membership. Highly recommend !

I cant say enough good things. The only qualm I have is that I wish there was a way to track what services you received/product recommendations. I went in there purchase my wifes mothers day gift. We came months ago and we were pleased.

Adrienne was fantastic. I always felt like I needed to get beat to to get a good massage. She was able to apply pressure to the right spots without hurting me. She was incredibly friendly and an amazing massage therapist! She definitely knows exactly what she is doing.

So, I am a member here (this means every month I pay for one massage/facial and the credits roll over if not used). I want to rate 5 stars because I think the staff is great and the overall experience is very good.The reason they only get 3/5 stars is the fact they definitely do not do your massages for the full length. They advertise them as 60 minute (hour) massages. Every single time they end ten minutes early. And sometimes they don’t even get me back right on time so I on avg. get a 45-50 minute massage (usually 50 min). I actually took a simple pic of the clock when I got up to get dressed. I know they need turnover time...but then don’t advertise and have me pay for a 60 minute massage. I’ve had at least 6 or 7 massages here. If I lose ten minutes every massage that’s basically a whole massage I’ve lost! $64 that I paid for nothing essentially! If you’re getting an hour massage know that here you’re really paying for a 50 minute and a ten minute turnover time. I’m sure they stop a little early for me to get redressed...but ten minutes. Again me getting re-dressed isn’t part of a 60 minute massage. Even with a complicated dress to put back on after...it only took me four minutes to slowly get up, wipe off the excess oil, and put on a very complicated dress. Just a fair warning...They provide a great experience other than that, but unfortunately I’ve been rethinking my membership here. I really don’t like paying for something and getting skimped...

The location in Oakly was amazing!! I scheduled a facial for my girlfriend and her best friend that she hasnt seen in a while. I told them it was her 30th and they went above and beyond. The staff even made a birthday card for her. They were extremely polite and kind and made it worth every penny. Will def go back and highly recommend this place to everyone.

My first massage was yesterday and it was great. Audrey really helped work out tight muscles in my shoulders. She was professional and courteous. I was seated at my appointment time, screened for COVID, and the facility was clean. Only gave 4 star because Ive only had one massage there - however I was pleased enough to sign up for membership!

I would give this place 0 if I could. I am a licensed massage therapist and 10 weeks pregnant. I know the guidelines of getting a massage while pregnant and you do not have to get a prenatal massage until you’re in the second trimester. Online I filled out in two different places that I am 10 weeks pregnant. The massage was confirmed, I come in and wait 10 minutes for them to tell me the massage is cancelled because the therapist isn’t trained in prenatal massage. They give me a $15 coupon for a hot towel foot exfoliation (seriously!?) and tell me to reschedule. I explain to the receptionist the therapist does not have to be trained in prenatal massage if massaging in the first trimester and her response is she’s just a receptionist and can’t help. What an absolute joke the service is here.

She is very knowledgeable about skin issues and products to help me. My skin has never looked or felt like this. I love my skin now. I had a massage with Aisha yesterday and she was awesome too! Ive had several different therapists and a variety of both good and not so great treatments over the last 10 years. Both therapist at this hand and stone Ive had were great. I just experienced finding the right fit with my preferred deep tissue message. Ryan, thank you for teaching me about massage through your work. As this therapist went through each muscle group and released all the tension, I fully understood how this therapy is essential to my well-being. Having a desk job sitting and typing, Ill now be coming weekly.

My masseuse, Cora, was great. She was knowledgable, friendly, and gave a great massage based on my needs.HOWEVER, the room was freezing and the soundtrack was distracting to say the very least - the free version of Pandora I presume. It jumped from quiet to loud, Dolly Parton to howler monkeys. The staff kept skipping songs part of the way through, and there were even commercials for meditation apps. I brought it up to the receptionist, and she casually dismissed my complaint. Hand and Stone Oakley is clearly too cheap to pay for heat and music, so I am too cheap to spend another 100 bucks there.

My husband and I were able to book a pretty last minute 60 minute couple’s massage on the Saturday after Valentines Day, so that was pretty awesome. I appreciate that Hand and Stone offers a first time discount also. Booking was extremely easy and customer service was lovely. The massages were amazing and exactly as requested! Both therapists did a phenomenal job and we would absolutely book with them again. We are even considering a monthly membership. I also appreciated that my therapist took time after the massage to explain and demonstrate some stretches to help me on a regular basis. I was a little surprised that hands, feet, glutes, head and aromatherapy are not included in the general massages, which did take a little away from the overall experience. I personally have had massages with other salons where these are all included, so I took for granted that this was standard practice. It’s possible that there was just not enough time for my therapist to work on these areas because we had decided together for 70% of her focus to be on my back, however. Also, we were a bit disappointed that after arriving 15 minutes early, we were taken back to the room at our scheduled time of 1:00pm, the therapists took a few minutes to offer up-sale services, left us to undress (which we did rapidly so as not to waste more time), then did not knock to re-enter the room until 1:10pm. With the clock displayed on the cabinet, I was able to see that the massage ended promptly at 1:59pm, so the massage itself was actually 49 minutes. Overall, it was a nice experience and we both recommend Hand and Stone, but going forward, I would love to see the website updated to display their service and membership prices and a way to make sure that their hour massages really are a full 60-90 minutes if their clients opt to arrive early.

From the front desk rep to the actual massage therapist everything was perfect. The employees were nice with great attitudes and very professional. My massage was wonder from Ms. Maureen and I could tell she was very experienced I’m her craft of prenatal massage therapy and I felt comfortable having her work on me. Very clean environment and so much to offer.

As my first time and nervous I got a duel service (massage and facial) and while I was initially relaxed and felt better during my facial, which is something I really enjoyed, I didn’t particularly enjoy my massage. As I felt rushed, felt my shoulder could’ve been dislocated, felt I was paying more attention to my pain then relaxing, and draping amateur, as when I was needed to flip over my therapists (disclosed name) completely lifted & uncovered my torso (as I was near fully undressed) leaving me open and feelings of whether or not I should be uncomfortable and stop her. To continue my therapist also put a HOT WET towel on my back without telling me still dripping when she started my back. As well as pressure being excessive even when ask/told to touch lighter. Unsure about pricing since I am also a student and had discount but as my receipt also didn’t tell how much each session was for... I don’t care if you’ve been a member for years or a couple months if your getting paid to write a good review- don’t come here unless you want a facial, my experience was barely an ounce of delightful. overall impression- meh

My daughters and I went to the Oakley location, and the staff was super friendly! The facility was very clean and there were precautionary measures in place due to covid-19. I found the room to be a tranquilizing environment; the lighting and music were conducive to relaxing. My massage therapist gave an excellent massage just the way I like it-- very firm! I will definitely go back to Hand & Stone in Oakley, and recommend it to my friends.

It was my moms birthday and I really wanted to get her a massage.When we got their we were greeted instantly and my mom was automatically taken to the back.Everyone was smiling and super friendly.My mom got Adrienne and she raved about her and said she was absolutely amazing and very down to earth.My only thing I didn’t like is the massage wasn’t a full hour and my mother was never offered the membership.Also when I booked the appointment I was under the impression I was paying for it and not just holding it.So when the massage was done they kept asking my mom do you have a gift card how are you paying?That really upset me because I was paying for everything and I didn’t want my mom bothered about payment on her bday.I spoke to the woman and explained to her I’m taking care of everything please don’t bother her and the woman was very polite and apologetic.My mom really enjoyed the massage so I’m extremely happy about that.My note to management keep consistency among customers, don’t pick and choose who you give the membership to.And if a customer books a hour massage honor that.

Love everything about this place! I’ve seen three different massage therapists here and all have been highly qualified but Dawn is my favorite. She asks throughout the massage if the pressure is good to insure guest comfort. She also will listen to your needs and make suggestions based on that. She’s easy to hold a conversation with but also doesn’t force it if you prefer to zone out and relax. I love the privacy and overall atmosphere of the massage rooms. The membership makes my massages incredibly affordable! 60$ massage! And if I need To skip a month for any reason they won’t charge me. Highly recommended them and Dawn

Going in after quarantine I was so impressed by the safety measures put in place for all individuals. Additionally, none of the safety measures took away from my relaxing and enjoyable experience. I was comfortable knowing the measures were taken and I could enjoy my massage.

Really nice people, but if Im being honest I was a little disappointed with the massage for a few reasons, some of which my be out of their control. First one, they did very little with the feet and the hands. Two areas I was looking forward to. Some of that may be my fault, they make you fill out a form that is a mile long with a bunch of check boxes so maybe I checked a box wrong. It may also be due to COVID 19 regulations. Second reason, I believe I paid for an hour (could be wrong on that as well). The appointment was scheduled for 11:00AM and I know we started well past that and I looked at the clock afterwards and it said 11:53. So definitely didnt get an hour but like I said Im not sure what I was schedule for (it was scheduled over the phone). I will say I paid an introductory rate of $64 so if its that much for massage less than hour than I would consider that really expensive. I had a gift card that offset most of the cost, without that I would be very disappointed. So all and all I was disappointed but Im not sure how much of it was their fault or mine so Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I just had my expectations to high. I dont get massages very often. Might try somewhere else in the future, not sure yet.

I love this place. Online I requested a hot stone massage and received a regular massage. I told the clerk that although I requested a hot stone massage, I didn’t receive one. She gave me a complimentary pass to get a free hot stone massage! The salon is very clean and the room where I got my massage was clean and cozy. My masseuse was Dawn and she was awesome! Definitely will be going back again.

Just had my third visit at hand and stone. And I have a ton of respect for businesses that take complaints seriously. That goes the extra mile to make a situation right. Im in customer service so it is very hard for me to ever complain. But if a company doesnt know that they struggle in one area then they cannot make a change. I didnt get online and immediately post a bad review. I called the company and spoke to the manager myself. I can say now without a doubt that this place deserves 5 stars. From management interactions, front desk service and Sharon who gave one of the best massages I have ever had and my whole experience was turned around. I will definitely be back. People or even businesses have off days Im really glad Im not one of those people that judges a place based off of one bad experience. Thanks again.

Staff was super friendly! Offered water or coconut water when I came in which I loved!! They are extremely professional and super respectful to you comfort level when getting a massage. Overall, great experience left extremely satisfied, relaxed, and signed up for the monthly membership of a massage or facial- great bang for your buck. If you have never gone I highly recommend doing the first timer deal and deciding from there, but I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Every masseuse Ive experienced has been excellent- knowledgeable, professional and personable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also recommend facials. Two of my friends have joined and are loving it too!

This company always has great customer service and works with their customers to keep them happy and satisfied. Dawn, the BEST massage therapist, is so polite and listens to your needs for your massage. She is so professional and always looks for the best interest of her clients. 10/10 recommend!

This was my very first facial and I was a little nervous to be honest. I had Kelly K and she was AMAZING! She walked me through everything, taught me about my skin, helped me make a skin care routine for at home, and made my skin feel flawless! I ended up signing up for a membership and can’t wait to go again next month!! Highly highly recommend!

Ebony, my therapist for my session was phenomenal. Her deep tissue massage was incredible. It was due to this that I signed up for a package so that I could continue on a monthly basis with her as my massage therapist. She was very knowledgeable and gave some great tips for follow up after my visit. The other folks at this location were really nice and friendly. The waiting area was very modern and clean. The overall ambience was extremely nice. If you visit you will become addicted to this phenomenal place.

I love Hand and Stones membership benefits but it all depends on which massage therapist you get as to how quality the massage will be!
