A trip to Olive + Ivy is something I always look forward to. The salon itself is beautiful, but the kind hearted, hilarious, talented people who work there make it something extra special. Brenna has been doing my hair for a year now - taking on a new client in the midst of a crazy global pandemic. She’s honest about what results are achievable, she listens - and she’s ridiculously good at what she does. She’s sweet to everyone (including my daughter, who loves her and constantly wants to change her own hair). My hair has never looked better. As if all that weren’t enough to keep me coming back, Meg treats every person who walks through the door like they’re a friend. Hands down, best salon I’ve ever been to.

I cannot say enough good things about this salon. In my opinion it’s the best in Cincinnati. I would come hang out here every day if they would let me lol.I go to Summer who I am obsessed with. She gives me THE BEST haircuts I’ve ever received and I go to her for all of my coloring needs. I have also seen Brenna way back when she wasn’t even at olive and ivy yet and that was a wonderful experience as well. Those two also tag teamed a color correction for me once that was truly heaven sent 😭 (see before and after photos)Everyone at olive and ivy is so educated, experienced, and knowledgeable and they are constantly improving their craft by taking classes and learning so much, while also sharing their knowledge with other stylists which is so admirable. They try to uplift anyone in this industry as well as everyone who walks through the door. Every stylist here is so passionate about what they do and so dedicated to doing their best work constantly and it shows. I am honestly inspired by them all.Not to mention the aesthetic, ambiance, and vibe they have curated with the neon signs and plants and amazing decor. And the music!! And if you’re lucky enough to meet a baby or a dog, it’s a great day.They really feel like a family, they all help each other, and none of them are in the business of competing with other stylists and I love that.Literally obsessed 10/10 and I can’t wait for my next appointment!

Brenna has been doing my hair for almost 3 years now & there are no words to describe how AMAZINGLY TALENTED she is!! She literally saved my hair after a nightmarish experience at another salon. I regularly get beaded weft extensions & highlights & my hair is healthier than it has ever been. I get compliments from strangers alllll the time! Not only is Brenna incredible at her job, but she is one of my favorite people on Earth - I never want my appointments to end because she is so much fun to chat with & has such a genuine soul. Every appointment I leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, & so beautiful. Also, Olive & Ivy is seriously the cutest salon. It’s such a happy place with the best vibe! I would honestly recommend any stylist here because everyone is beyond welcoming, friendly, & fun! I am actually using Brenna & Meg for my wedding next year & I cannot imagine that day without them! I love that not only have I found the queens of hair, but I have found the sweetest friends. If you’re looking for a top tier blonding & extensions professional, Brenna is your girl for sure!!

I had been sitting in Brenna’s chair for 2 years prior to moving out of state and have been looking forward to moving back to have her do my hair again! I feel confident whenever I sit in her chair and let her work her magic because she is so detail oriented and talented! She is one of the most dedicated in the hair game. I also feel extremely knowledgeable when leaving my appointments to know what products I should be using and why! She truly cares for your hair inside and outside of the salon.

Salon: The salon is beautiful, theres not a space in it that you dont want to take a picture of. What makes it even cooler is that it was gutted and designed by the owner, Meg! Theres something about sipping a coffee, getting your hair done, surrounded by plants in an aesthetically pleasing salon that is just ✨✨Hair: I have seen Brenna for my blonding since 2017! I had previously box dyed my hair or gone to random stylists because I could never find the one. She took me from a rooted, old box dye blonde to the pictures attached ! Brenna takes into account your hair health, hair goals, and maintenance. She is always realistic with you on what will be best for your hair and what you can get done in a session. Even when I couldnt come in as frequently due to school and work- she had no problem giving me more low maintenance styles that would last longer in between sessions. Brenna takes her craft very seriously and puts in the time to continue her learning, even as great as she is- she continues her education and learns new techniques! She has taught me so much about hair health and I learn something new every time I come in. In conclusion, wouldnt go anywhere else- I have never left not feeling amazingEyebrows: I got my eyebrows microbladed by Erika after being practically eyebrow-less my entire life! Truly made my day to day so much easier and they look completely natural- when I tell people they are microbladed, no one believes me. Erika is very professional, artistic, and honest with you about what to expect, what shade is best for your skin, and what your sessions will be like. She gives very detailed pre and post care instructions for your healing, and wants to make sure you are happy with your end look! The process was painless and she is very skilled. So happy I went to her to finally get eyebrows! :)

Meg has done my hair for years! I have followed her to every location she has worked, and what she has created at Olive + Ivy is amazing! Meg and the team bring such joyous energy to their work, and it’s such a welcoming environment!! I also really appreciate that Meg is always straight forward about the maintenance required for certain colors/styles - I prefer low maintenance, so Meg always find the perfect color for me that doesn’t require being in the chair every month for touch ups!

When I say Brenna is the best - I mean the absolute BEST. I have been to many blonding professionals in Cincinnati and in other states as well - no one compares. She listens to my concerns about my hair, gets me the perfect tone every time, and if I ever have an issue (once during the pandemic when I had to leave wet) she makes it right. Brenna is always professional and on time. She makes getting your hair done a complete experience not just a task. There is a reason I’ve been going to her for over three years - because she is the best in the biz. I also booked her for my wedding - that’s how much I trust her (I got lucky because she doesn’t do a lot of weddings any more.) I’ve been here multiple times and I don’t see myself ever going to a different salon. Their services are worth the cost. I have never been disappointed or upset with my hair. The atmosphere is amazing and I walk out feeling beautiful from the inside out. All the girls are amazing and I genuinely look forward to the days I get to see them and get my hair done! I truly can’t say how much I love them enough.

Brenna has color corrected/colored my hair twice so far, and I have an upcoming appointment for a third visit. Both times Brenna did my hair, I left the salon feeling confident, beautiful, and relaxed. Yes, the services are expensive, but Brenna is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and talented, so you are paying for quality. It is also important to trust the process - blonding to a different tone cant happen overnight, especially if you want to keep your hair healthy. Ive purchased products from the salon, too, and my hair has never looked, felt, and smelled better! Dont be afraid to ask about finances in more detail if you arent sure you can afford the services.

First of all, the salon is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. All of the stylists here seem so nice. I went to Lauren and she did me RIGHT. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I love my hair more than I ever have now!

Debated on leaving this review for awhile because it’s not in my nature to say negative things. I was a loyal customer years before they moved into Olive and Ivy. Not once was I disappointed in my hair, but my last appointment left me with brassy $350 hair because she was more concerned about something in her private life and didn’t let my hair sit long enough. When I brought it up to her she tried to tell me it was my fault because “I don’t take care of my hair,” note that I used and purchased all the product she recommended from her. Without her wanting to fix her mistake, I found a new stylist who was in awe of the shape of my hair at my first appointment. Not to mention listening to the negative talk about clients who were there before me and others who frequent the salon. I had recommended two friends to Brenna who also had similar experiences after many years of going to her. We all switched to my current stylist and I’m glad we did. I now get what I pay for and never leave unhappy. Not to mention my hair is at its healthiest and my hair stylist doesn’t shame her clients on Instagram or talk badly about them in the salon. Best balayage I’ve had — Brenna knew exactly what I was asking for when I showed photos and tried to describe what I was looking for. My balayage is natural and seamless. My hair is healthier than it’s ever been since her guidance of maintaining my balayage. The women who work at Olive & Ivy are always so nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend Brenna and Olive & Ivy, well worth the price!

So happy I booked with Meg!!!!! These ladies are the best kind of witches. The transformation that happena within those walls are more than just physical. You leave feeling beautiful and glowing. And being around such beautiful women all day leaves you with a great energy. 100 out of 100 treat yourself to a day with one of these ladies, you will not regret it. And to not mention the amazing talent that Meg has would be a crime. My hair has never looked this good, or felt this good, and I will never go to anyone else again. It really shows when she does your hair how much she loves her work and how much she cares about her clients. I cant wait for my next appointment. Best decision Ive made for a long time.

Brenna was a super sweet stylist. Very kind and welcoming into the salon. There was no issue with the customer service or salon in general, just the job done on my hair. I grew my hair out for a year & a half to make it healthy and start over and I had sent Brenna images of what I wanted and she told me it would take a couple sessions which is totally fine. I was also told it would be between $240-$270, again also not an issue. The problem is the total came to about $310 + the tip , and my hair looked the EXACT same as when i walked in. Photos from before and after are identical and if you didn’t know I had been to the salon you would’ve never known it had been done. I brought up my concern to her and she told me it was a world of a difference but I literally couldn’t tell a difference and neither could anyone else. It was just really frustrating to grow my hair out that long and then have it damaged with chemicals for it to look the exact same. I couldve saved $350+ and the health of my hair. If you’re wanting something new and different, I recommend someone else. If you’re wanting just a style or cut I highly recommend Brenna!

Had started going to Brenna because a close friend recommended her. Every appointment I was going in not even sure what my total cost was going to be as she changed the prices frequently and I never truly knew what I was even paying for. I was blonde and decided I wanted to throw some lowlights in for my wedding. After my wedding I was wanting to go back to blonde and Brenna told me; “I could never keep up with that hair color.” Needless to say that was a quick way for me to find a new stylist - one who does what I want and isn’t rude but honest about the process to make sure I don’t damage my hair. I now leave every hair appointment from my current stylist in love with my hair and having no doubt for what I paid for.

Meg did my bright blue hair and it turned out more than amazing! Shes a literal QUEEN when it comes to fashion color. I went in with uneven shades of blue, tints of gross brown and green and very grown out roots. She made me have hope for my hair again. It feels so much healthier and silky smooth. I will forever go to Meg for my fashion colors! Shes so easy to have a conversation with and you can tell the entire salon staff are close and seem like family with one another. They always encourage each others work and it was just all around good vibes. Everyone is so sweet and very funny! 11/10 highly recommended.

I love spending time in her chair & in her company, shes the best! The staff is so professional and the atmosphere of the entire salon will make you feel so at ease and comfortable. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!

I saw Lauren and she gave my hair life! The results were EXACTLY what I was explaining to her! This is the first time I’ve been happy with a cut/color in a long time! She was so nice and easy to talk to, I can’t wait to book with her again! The salon as a whole is very welcoming and beautiful. I loved the modernness and all of the real plants around! This is a space I can’t wait to spend more time in as a client!Edit 10/20/21: I have now been seeing Lauren for quite some time, and saw Shelby while Lauren was out on maternity leave. Let me tell you -- you cant go wrong seeing any stylist here! Each stylist has their own vibe and they all have amazing energy! Even when I see one stylist there are always others there hyping each other and their clients up! If I could quit my job and just hang out here every day I would. I have never met so many sweet, talented people in the same environment. Cant wait to watch the salon expand and grow!
