Dr. Verdolin is quite rude and might have the worst attitude of any Dr. I have experienced. This person is obviously not in the business of helping people. Basically yelled across the whole office that I needed to hurry up because I was already supposed to be there, when I was not informed of that. The front desk woman Danica also does not seem to know what’s going on in the slightest. They told me to follow up with the front and she looked at me like she had no idea what I was coming up to her for and than after much explanation and needing to go ask when I should be getting a follow up after getting injections, came back and told me 10:15 am without any date. I was in the building before my scheduled appointment and didn’t even get to finish my own paperwork because the nurse took it out of my hand and was doing it for me. I was not informed to arrive early for paperwork, I was also not informed that I would need a driver and only found out when I got my call the day before to confirm my appointment. In which she only said 2:45 and I had to ask if I would be able to drive. I also came to this dr to help figure out what is going on with my severe headaches and neck problems that started in august and have not improved. They said after reviewing MRI that they would refer me to a neurologist and after not hearing anything about this for a few weeks I had to call to find out that according to them there was nothing logged or planned for that to happen so I had to go through my primary who hadn’t even seen my MRI. I’m glad it’s Friday and you want to get out of there, but you don’t need to make people dealing with excruciating pain feel worse about themselves. Very unprofessional, I will be staying with them only until my follow up appointment is through, and then will definitely be changing.

Getting through to these people is a part time job. Theyre call center is in Pasadena and offices in San Diego. Need I say more. This is the worst on going night mare you can imagine. Not once.or twice but almost every contact I had with follow up and appointments. They were so disorganized with me I couldnt belive it. I have phone records with 21 phones calls and had one office visit and never met my doctor. They changed my location three different times. Its really that bad! Also if you smoke pot dont bother with this medical practice. They wont prescribe pain medications. The act like The Pill Police. On your initial visit be prepared to fill out 10 to 15 pages of redundant paperwork. You feel like your signing papers.to buy a house.

Be very careful about these folks. When I called for an initial appointment to refill a prescription they first put me on hold for abit. Beforehand she asked me if I had a referral and I said no, that I did not need one with my PPO. Then she came back and said Im sorry but we cant help you we require referrals from your PCP. I told her that was no problem, my PCP will gladly send you a referral. She then said that they do not give prescriptions on the first visit as it must be a consultation. I told her no problem, just please tell me the procedure and I will follow it. She THEN added that there is no guarantee that I will get it refilled. Well, I think it is obvious that they did not want me as a patient. These folks are incredibly twisted and sad.

The front desk (individual person) is ABSOLUTELY RUDE, has no sympathy for the patients and reacts to patients missing or being late to their appts as if it were on her personal time. How and why she is still employed there I dont understand. Rude, careless and no sympathy at all. People who work in any position in the medical field should have compassion and understanding that clearly if theyre walking into the office not your office l!...that they have health/pain issues!!! Please throw her away and get someone who knows how to deliver great patient experience. This particular person is an awful and insensitive person who does not need to be working anywhere in the medical field.

My Dr sent me here for pain management and they cut me off all my meds. What a joke! Waiting to change insurance! Stay away! Got my insurance changed and got my medication back. Ha! This place is a joke! Funny how nobody reached out to help me. Took me 10 months to change my insurance and find a new pain management place. 10 months of hell thanks to this place. Not going to point the finger at one Dr here I blame the whole operation they got going on here. This is not the only pain management place in town. Dont be afraid to find a place you want to go too and dont let your Dr choose a place for you. Good luck people.

I wanted help from the doctor in putting a post-operative, pain management plan in place. I was not able to meet with her, but was given to her PA who completely denied me any help. This was in spite of making my needs clear prior to my appointment.Find someone else!

I have 2 frozen shoulders, right side very painful that OTC would not help. NCPC in Las Vegas NV gave me pain meds to help with pain. On my first visit she continued with my last pain meds, next visit she gave injection in right shoulder, after that wore off I was in more pain. When asked for Muscle relaxer she refused and then refused to refill my pain meds. Gave me another injection in same shoulder with something different which hurt so bad did not numb it at all. almost 3 weeks later I am still bruised. She would over talk me and never explain anything, and just walk out of the room. The staff forgot to make copies of previous visits, very unorganized. Does not pay any attention to what insurance cover, or just doesnt care. Horrible experience!!

I saw a dr lufty at this location, she was very confusing and didnt answer my questions. She walked out of the room without giving me a clear idea of what to do before coming back for the next appointment. I was given 2 referrals on 1 sheet of paper that I wasnt aware was more then 1 referral, I wasnt aware that the dr had even recommend more than one thing for me and the services were offered at the same place. When I came back for the follow up appointment they stopped my treatment because of the misunderstanding. Before my treatment was stopped when I let her know I was confused she took it personally and started being very confrontational. She never got xrays, MRI, or even look at the areas of pain with eyes to know what was going on. I dont think she even tried doing her job.

In regards to the mission valley location not c hula vista, I was going to this location before it switched over to synovation medical group and it was a great place, very efficiant, very helpful, just overall a great place, since it has switched over to synovation medical Im very disappointed, they screw up one thing after another be it referrals or whatever. They no longer send reminders of appointments either by text message or phone call. it just sucks! Im actually looking for a new pain management Dr. These people have aggravated me one to many times now. Perhaps one of the other locations might function with more efficiency but not metropolitan drive location!

I have been in pain for going on 10 years now and I am only 28 years old. To make matters worse, the only thing that makes sense is that its hereditary seeing as I have no idea how any of this happened and my moms side of the family all have back pain. I only found out because one day I woke up and was in complete and utter agony from this shooting pain going from my back down my left leg. It was the worst pain I have ever felt and I was in a horrible car accident recently to make matters worse and broke my sternum, my ankle, had painful bruises everywhere and also had two back surgeries. Still, nothing compares to the first time that I had sciatica pain. I had a herniated disc that impinged on three separate nerves. The S1 and S2 (sciatic nerve) as well as the L5 nerve root. After doing physical therapy 4 times, doing 3 rounds of epidural injections, acupuncture, and tried the chiropractor once but couldnt get out of bed for a week so I was not interested in trying that ever again. I finally decided to have back surgery. I had a microdiscectomy to fix the herniated disc that impinged the nerves and after 6 months and no change to the nerve pain (I only had the back surgeries because the nerve pain was unbearable) I decided to have a spinal fusion because my back surgeon said that was the only other surgery that could possibly help. I had an amazing back surgeon but unfortunately they were both unsuccessful. I was then referred to my first and only pain management physician prior to Dr Minosa at Synovation Medical Group but even though he managed my pain with 4 15mg oxycodone pills a day along with 1 soma a day because I have awful back spasms, he was an awful human being and made me cry on multiple occasions. I have only been a patient for 2 months and the first visit Dr Minosa wasnt in the office that week so I saw Dr Levine who was an extremely nice guy and was all about long acting/extended release medications vs giving me something that would wear off in a few hours and I was absolutely thrilled because I am sick of watching the clock and noticing it had only been 2 hours and my pain was already back. He prescribed me 12 milligram fentanyl patches as well as 30 7.5 milligram Percocets for breakthrough pain. It was the first time that I had gotten more than 50% pain relief and I was so happy that I finally found something that helped and wasnt having to take 1 to 2 pills every 4 to 6 hours. Then the next month when I went back and finally met Dr Minosa he told me that sometimes opiates do the opposite of help and actually create pain and that I dont need that type of medication. Im assuming that he hadnt even read all the paperwork that I brought in (I have a huge folder of all my records) and Dr Levine took the important ones and had copies made then put them in my chart. I know Dr Minosa didnt read everything or possibly anything but the notes from Dr Levine because he didnt know the majority of the information that Dr Levine knew when he met me. He told me that my poor posture could be why Im in so much pain, that the fact that opiates can cause more pain, that I was off alignment even though he didnt realign me and that I was too young to be on pain medication for as long as I have. He then got me into physical therapy which I was thankful for but only gave me 60 7.5 mg percocets a day. I have been trying to take 2 a day but the pain is so bad that I have been taking 1 every 4 to 6 hours but making sure that I only take 4 a day at most even though im back to around 25% pain relief with taking 2 and 30 to 50% with 4. I am praying that he will see that I tried and increase me because the opiates are definitely not causing more pain, the lack of opiates is causing me pain. Im 28 years old and Im bedridden once again... I suffer from depression, anxiety, and insomnia due to the pain and that month with the fentanyl and percocets I barely needed xanax, slept like a baby, and still took my depression meds but was going to take to my psychiatrist about weaning me off. Now Im even more depressed :[
