First off, Id like to say that the staff is really friendly. I forgot to ask her name, but I am glad that I was able to work with her the times Ive gone.Ive gone in twice so far due to a pulled trap muscle that gradually pulled my neck, upper back, shoulder, chest, and tricep. It also started to pinch a nerve in my shoulder. I was dealing with it for 2 weeks in which I was flossing, using dit da jow for massage, meditating, stretching, theragunning, cupping, you name it. Id get some recovery, then something I did would just bring it right back. I drove by Lane Street and saw the little advertisement to set up an appointment for Cryotherapy. Ive been meaning to try it for years, but never did.My first appointment I did cryotherapy and red light (without compression). After a day, my trap, neck, back, and shoulder finally stopped pulling. My second appointment I only had time for cryo, but I could feel my left pec and tricep slowly releasing and the pinched nerve slowly subsiding. I do plan to go in again for more cryo and red light/compression treatments because this appears to be helping far more quickly than all the self therapy Ive been doing. I am so glad that I finally have a place thats fairly close to home and very close to the gym I go to. I plan to be a customer for a long time!Thank you for all your help!

I come weekly, I have tried 4 sessions of Cryo T-Shock body contouring, 4 sessions of compression and 2 sessions of Cryo mini facials. I also received a complimentary Fit 3D scan. Came in today because my knee was pretty swollen. Mark was very helpful on letting me know which treatment to do. He said to do a combination of cryotherapy and celluma light therapy. Came out feeling refreshed and my knee feeling a lot better.

Recovery Science is a state of the art facility with the best tools for keeping your body running efficiently. Everyone that works there is fantastic and when I go on Fridays Victoria always does a great job helping me and making me comfortable before I’m going to step into a cryo machine at -220 degrees.

Wonderful place came here knowing nothing about recovery science and came out knowing a whole lot about new exercises. The instructor Hyewon not only explained by paper, but was actually doing the exercises with us, not only showing us how to do it properly, but how to do it without hurting yourself. In the end the recovery science center is a good environment, and I will keep coming in the near future to do cryotherapy and yoga tune up.

Ive been to a few other cryotherapy places in San Diego County and nowhere compares to Recovery Science. They have the latest equipment to help ease sore muscles and help you feel rejuvenated. They even had Netflix to watch and your own music to listen to while using their equipment. 5 stars, will be back!

I’ve been wanting to come for awhile and I’m glad I finally did!!! Christine gave us a tour and answered all my questions (and I had a lot of questions and concerns 😬)The leg compression was like a massage without the lotion - which was awesome because I’m super ticklish and usually can’t have such a long session.Then Mark told us we can watch UFC Fight Pass and Netflix during the session 😇Oh and their Nitro coffee was SO SMOOTH, but my favorite was the tea 🍵

I’ve been using cryotherapy since 2015 but I live in Chula Vista and always had to travel to Hillcrest or somewhere far to get treatment so I was beyond ecstatic when I found out there was a place close to home. I absolutely love this cryotherapy place! Prices are fair, they have a great chamber and offer a variety of different services, and I’ve become a regular. What keeps me coming back is not just the chamber but their excellent customer service. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful and I want to give a special shout out to Victoria. She was the first person I encountered there and from the moment I walked in she made me feel comfortable and at home. She thoroughly explained all the different services in a kind and professional and enthusiastic manner. My experience has been absolutely spectacular!

This place is great it has really helped recover from 2 back surgeries. I have edema and blood in the legs and the compression helps. I also use the cryo the sauna and the tim tam.

Recovery Science was recommended to me by a fellow South Bay dirt biker. I stopped in for cryotherapy after dumping my motorcycle out at the desert and bruising up my side and leg. At my age, those falls take their toll and recovery takes a long time. Honestly, the cryotherapy treatment really got me over the aches and pains and reduced the inflammation in record time. Ive been coming to Recovery Science for a while now and absolutely love all of the staff and their services. They are extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly and patient. After months of interest, questions and thinking it over I decided to take the plunge and begin Cryo-T Shock Therapy and Im so glad I did! My philosophy in life is if you wont invest in yourself and your health than whats really worth investing in. My first treatment session was performed by Victoria and she was very kind and thorough. The procedure takes about an hour which we chose to talk through so the time went by quickly. The procedure was not invasive in anyway and painless! The temperature went from warm/hot to cold then back to hot. I personally did not experience and discomfort throughout the whole process. Afterwards my skin was red and numb for about 30 minutes but after that everything was back to normal. No scarring or bruises at all. I actually waited until the morning after to write this review to be more accurate on side effects and honestly there are none! I havent experienced any tenderness to the touch, I have bathed twice since then and no skin reactions. If you are considering trying Cryo-T Shock my vote is go ahead and take the plunge! Its definitely cheaper if you are already a member and I truly believe that doing regular cryotherapy, compression and infrared therapy will only make my experience and results better. Once again the team here are wonderful so youll be in great hands!

I wanted to explore new ways of taking care of my body and stumbled across these guys through Instagram simply because of their introductory price/offer. It was $40 for a 3 minute cryo session, a 30 minute compression therapy session, and a full body scan (DEXA Scan for those who know what that is). I figured to just try that since it was already a good deal and I wasnt going to be pressured into some sort of membership. After my sessions, I realized that a membership was the way to go for me. I was treated outstandingly by their staff with zero pressure of doing committing, despite my decision to do so. Prices vary and I wont display them here because it is confusing and is better explained by a staff member. I highly recommend it.

After my first experience with cryotherapy at another location, which gave me A bit of frostbite, I was skeptical to go out and try it again.I came to recovery science because it was new, close to my place, and offered a full body Cryotherapy machine that the other places didn’t. Since coming for the past month or so I’ve had a great experience with the staff and treatments. I’ve done their infrared sauna, cryotherapy, compression sessions and have not come across any issues. I’d definitely recommend it if you live in the area and are looking for these treatments. Definitely beneficial.

My girlfriend and i love coming to this place. Everyone that works here is so nice and welcoming. They have state of the art technology and the facility is really nice and clean. They have many services here like 3d body scan, whole body cryo therapy, infra red saunas, normatec system. I like getting the whole body cryo and normatec after a hard work out, ive seen it helps with my recovery, no more aches and pains.

My husband and I went in because we were sore from starting Tae Kwon Do. After the cryotherapy and the compression we felt great! The place is very clean and smells great (like essential oils). The staff was very friendly. I cant wait to go back.

Today I came in to this recovery center for two reasons:I go to the gym a lot (have a lot of fatigue on my muscles)/ work a lot as a registered nurse and I have heard a lot of positive notes on this place. I came in with no experience to cryotherapy or to infrared sauna. First things first, parking isn’t going to be difficult. It is located a little by the corner of Fenton street so it could be hard to see. When I arrived I was greeted by a receptionist. She was absolutely welcoming. She briefed me through the services they offered because I did come in to try out the cryotherapy but I didn’t really know how it worked and what other services they’d offer. Apparently they were offering an intro price (but I forgot how much) for cryotherapy estimating around 30 dollars. It’s not a bad price from what I’ve heard the effects would have especially if you want to continually do this to see more results (I would suggest you use this with intent to do more session). So, I availed three services on my visit today. The infrared sauna, compression therapy and the cryotherapy. For the cryotherapy session I was assisted to a private changing room with a white robe, socks, ear muffs and some furry slip ons. While I was changing to the robe (with only underwear left on), slip ons, gloves and ear muffs, the receptionist was reviewing the whole service with me and answering all my questions. She took a 2 minute check to see that I was not wet, I had removed all my jewelry, had no health conditions that affected the process of the service/ our safety, and then gave me a facial mask. She offered to play some music while she was setting up the machines temperature. She then assisted me into the chamber where you’ll see a gust of cold air circulating. It did look pretty intimidating. I thought initially I was going to definitely freeze but the key was to listen to the music, breathe, and try to move around if you’d like. I kept my hands under my arms (despite the gloves and the beginner setting) because it really was cold. It lasted exactly 3 minutes (you can see the timer above). The receptionist then assisted me quickly out the chamber with my robe ready (yes ! You are wearing underwear,gloves, slip ons,and earmuffs only inside). I then again changed back to my clothes onwards to the recovery room that had the compression therapy service. She placed a suit on me that hugged my torso down to my thighs. I wanted to work on my lower body due to the fatigue I do from working out that area. I had it set to 7, which pretty much had (in my opinion) the tightest pressure that I could handle. She started me off there to see if I could handle anymore (so since that was all I could handle... I stayed with it). It felt really awkward at first if you’ve never tried it but after it I felt like I was being massaged and the stress on my legs and hips were going away. Last but not the least was the sauna. It was pretty much what I had seen in movies. It was a dry area that was a great ender from the cold beginning. But to sum it all up the experience with recovery science was better than I expected ! Definitely a must go

Really love the services this establishment has to offer and the attention towards the customers needs and their service. Ive been doing cryo for quite some time, due to my sciatica issues, and love how I can do a full body cryo session, to get the max effect, versus other places where is just from the neck down. I also love how I can alternate my services from my cryo sessions to the infrared sauna sessions. I defenitely reccomend this location to anyone and their services. Im happy this place opened up in the southern part of SD.
