I love this Dr. best care ever. I HATE to hear he is no longer practicing full time. Biggest loss in the Sharp Organization.

Dr Gonzales has been instrumental with my health care over these many years. I have the deepest respect for him and I have trusted his knowledge and guidance to keep me on track even though Ive failed to follow his advice on a few occasions. Dr. Marco Gonzalez has been the primary doctor for me and my wife since 2012 and we are very happy with him. He has a lot of experience to detect when something is not normal and, when needed, he refers us for additional studies and/or specialists. I have an HMO and therefore it is important to have an experienced doctor as Dr. Gonzalez.

Good doctor overall, but very hard to book appointments though. A little dissapointed with the staff. Reception.lab.call center.I Finally got an appointment with no conflict with my busy schedule. Almost a year without a Dr. Visit. With one very due and the day before my appt. I show up to Sharp stealie east palomar st. Chula vista for my lab work at 7am, as this is crucial for my visit scheduled for the folowing day. The lady at the front desk said we do not have an order from your Dr. For lab work. She said we can try to reach your doctor at 7:30am or 8am to get authorization. While waiting i called customer service too. Figured it could get the ball rolling too. Customer care rep Liz was a little rude, stated they would have to call my doctorand first and stated this could take several hours to get a hold of him..that kinda killed it for me. Even though i told her i was at the lab.. I then got back in line again at the lab lobby@7:40am. And inquired about the status of reaching out to my doctor.. The lady completely forgot about me and said we will try calling dr Gonzalez at 8am. By then i was a little fustrated at the situation and opted to go to work. I also cancelled my appointment..just wanted to express my concern and expose the bad experience received. Just because the staff acts and sound profesional. It does not mean they are efficient. Idk when i will be able to reschedule this appointment.but until then..this was my opinion..good luck..

Its been almost three years now since I have been seeing Dr. Gonzalez as my primary doctor for my twice a year check up and Im so glad I had the patience to wait for an opening in his schedule. His profesionalism and deep medical kwnoledge, along with his people skills make me always feel that my health is in good hands.
