Dr. Garate and Dr. Falcon are phenomenal. They treat their patients with kindness and respect and always remember your face and name. I highly recommend using them for dentistry and orthodontist. They both have given confidence back to my smile.

I am so impressed. We had a huge emergency my mother in laws crown fell out and she couldnt even eat. I found Dr. Garate and thank god for that. He was about to close and he was willing to take us on and emergency basis. He was not only able to give us a huge price discount, he was able to fix this crown setting us at ease. I dont normally write reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience at the hands of a skilled dentist. I recently fractured one of my premolars. I went to a dentist who basically told me that my only option was extraction followed by a bridge or a dental implant. I went to Dr. Garate and asked if my fractured tooth could be saved. He gave me a very thorough exam using top of the line equipment and determined that he could indeed save the tooth and crown it. He also discovered the beginnings of another fracture on a different tooth that the other dentists had missed. He skillfully worked on both of my teeth and crowned them on the same day.I recently came back to Dr Garate at Perfect Smiles for some veneers and I cannot say enough good things about him and his entire staff. Im super happy with the results of the veneers and new crowns. As for the staff, Blanca is always super kind and helpful. Teresa always greets me with a smile. Vilma is amazing and kind and gentle. Idalis always have a sweet smile and is attentive. Elizabeth cleaned my teeth with a gentle hand and did an amazing job.If you are someone whos afraid of the dentist, Perfect Smiles will help you change your mind.

THE SEARCH IS OVER!!!! We finally found the best dentist weve ever had. A few years ago my husband needed an extraction and we went to Smile Care Chula Vista because that was what our insurance covered. Dr. Garate was the resident dentist there, and took care of my husband. He was very pleased with him and told me that he will never go to any other dentist but Dr. Garate, and he has stood on that promise (or threat!) When we went back there, Dr. Garate has left and started a practice somewhere, and the Dental Office could not provide us a forwarding address. It took us a while to finally find him at Bonita Del Rey Dentistry. This time I was the one in need of an extraction, and a partial. What a happy day to have found Dr. Garate this time. He took care of the extraction and partial with such care. He has a concerned manner about him and it made me feel that he really cares about my total dental health. He wondered out loud why my 4 front teeth seem to be mobile with the slightest touch. I told him that it has always been my problem and the biggest concern so much so that I dont use it to bite my food. I am even very, very gentle with it when I brush my teeth fearing that it might get more loose and fall off. Although my extraction and partial were done, he continued to find my bite. He could have said, youre good to go, but he did not. He spent more time and a few more appointments to make sure my bite was right and that my front teeth were not hitting the bottom teeth. He filed some of the front teeth, shortened the ones that were hitting the bottom front. Needless to say, my front teeth are now getting stronger and do not move as much. In time, he said, the roots (bone) will stabilize. Chances are, I will not lose my 4 front teeth in the future. I have been to many dentists all my life. Dr. Garate was the very first one to really take time to find the root of all my problems. I cannot thank him enough. I also have to commend the staff, front and back. They were all very professional and very accommodating. They all spoke softly which to me is a plus. If a patient with a toothache waits in the waiting room, the last thing he needs is some noisy (on the phone or with each other) staff. Their professionalism is very much appreciated.
