My hair stylist was Marisela. I havent been to a salon in over 10 years because I dont trust too many people with my hair, but I decided to give it a try and Im super happy that I did. She was very knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. I was a little undecided on the exact color I wanted and didnt have a friend there for advice, but she was able to help me with that and I was so grateful she did because it came out perfectly. Couldnt have asked for a friendlier, knowledgeable and skillful stylist. Im very pleased to say the least :)! Will definitely be going back.

Chelsea was wonderful! I found my new stylist! She was super nice, listened to what I wanted, and very gentle when washing and brushing my hair. I would highly recommend! The receptionist was very kind as well!

Its been a long time sence Ive been in a salon, I had been caring for a large family including my ill father. I never really had enough time. Its been 18 yrs sence I remember being at a salon. One thing for sure It really showed in the way my hair looked. I needed profecional help. I felt extremly nervous when I walked in. I had found this place searching through the web, l looked for as many salons as possible checking as many reviews. Im happy to say, I selected well. Anne, Marisela and her staff made me feel welcomed, they were extremly patient with me. Im convienced they are proficient in any task you have for them. The look I wanted was more on the lighter side so when my gray appears it wont be so obvious. I have to say I am satisfied and happy. I encourage anyone looking, to check them out youll be glad you did.

This salon never lets me down. The energy inside is always welcoming and bright. Any mistakes or inconveniences made (not that it happens often) they are always quick to make up for. The owner Anne is super sweet and so are the rest of the stylist. On top of all this my hair always comes out looking gorgeous. The color the cut is always what I ask for. ❤️ 10/10 recommend this salon

I took a couple days to reflect on my haircut prior to my review. I think the Salon is great. But the stylist I had was not so much. I was hoping I would grow to like my haircut over a few days and I still feel like crying. I also reflected if maybe I gave the wrong direction to the stylist. But it kinda came down to her last comment telling me I know its not what you asked for but these type of bangs are in right now I dont have really a layered haircut but more of a fringe. It really looks like a 90s cut, not the frame of the face I was asking for. I am ok with the length but the layering I feel like just makes my hair look shorter and curls funny. I have alot of events coming up and have no idea what to do with this.With that said, the salon is nice, the owner happened to be there while I was there and was sweet as well. I would give them another chance, but ENSURE its not the same stylist I had.

I made a reservation for haircut and scalp treatment. The woman on the phone said they offered scalp treatments and even gave me details about it saying it was Japanese. Anyways when I get there there is no such thing, The receptionist booked me for a hair treatment when I asked for a scalp treatment making me believe i was indeed getting what I asked and wanted but she just decided to tell me it was a scalp treatment when it was not.$60 dollars for 15 mins of just washing my hair and putting a treatment was too expensive. The girl on the phone said the scalp treatment would last about an hour because it required a few steps.Glenda however was great and she listened to what I wanted. I loved the haircut she gave me. The receptionist didnt need to lie about services they dont offer. Glenda was extremely nice and professional. She was awesome.

Just had my hair cut by Andrea. She fixed my COVID cut, made me feel beautiful again, and also wasnt awkward while making small talk. Im very awkward and uncomfortable talking to new people usually but she made me feel right at home, and I could even hear her over the blow dryer. The receptionist remembered my name from check in to check out & they were able to pay using the card I already had on file from making the appointment online. I forgot to schedule my next appointment because I was busy watching the lady who threads eyebrows, who was also really nice!10/10 experience.

The salon is bright and cheerful and right on 3rd in the heart of downtown. Hector, my stylist, is an artist with my mens medium long styling, working well with my thinning hair & MPB at the crown.

Sadly, I didnt get to see if their work was any good or not. I had scheduled an appointment for four people and the owner, herself, canceled my blocked time because I didnt call to confirm. I was told the stylist would call me to confirm. The missunderstanding and apology didnt change the fact that two people came from north county for a day of pampering and it didnt happen. Not the Saturday we expected.

I came this morning for my appointment at 9am when I get there the receptionist informs me that it’s for the following week!! I made the appointment over the phone for at least a month ago and now to be told I didn’t have an appointment is upsetting.. This was going to be my first time at this salon, and now it will be my last!!! Never will I go to this salon ever again..

This place is amazing!! Ive gone here consecutively for the past couple of years and every single time, theyve give me great service. They provide you with recommendations for your specific hair type and help you make the right decisions for your look! Theyre very considerate and easy to get along with!! Both the staff and service is A+!! Ive gotten lots of treatments done here (keratin, brazilian, etc.) as well as gotten my hair dyed here too! All of them turned out GREAT!

I have been to this fine establishment several times. I’ve had multiple stylist do my hair and each time I have visited, the service was phenomenal. No matter who cut my hair, the results were excellent. They never failed to greet me with a warm welcome each visit. They feel like my second family. Scotty at Oxenrose was a fantastic stylist. I had the works, cut, color, and highlights. The cut is flawless and completely wash and go. I looked so fantastic when I left the salon, I had to party it up for two days! This guy is so sweet and cute. I WILL be back.

I went here to get my hair done for a wedding and it took the girl TWO hours to straighten my hair. My hair is not two hour long hair. A girl with hair to her waist came in, had her hair straightened, and left before me. My biggest issue is that my hair is naturally curly and whatever she put in it will not come out. Its been nearly two months and I cannot get my hair back to normal. It didnt even stay in the style she put it in for 30 minutes after leaving. I will NEVER go here again!

Talk about awkward. I was super excited to see they had a grouping after my first experience I couldnt wait to come back. When I did tho they said groupons were for first time customers only which apparently was in the super fine print. The owner wanted me to return the coupon and pay for the service. When I told her I couldnt because it was about to expire she honored it hesitantly. I do appreciate that they honored the coupon.

Got my hair done as soon as I got out of the Navy. I wanted something different so I went for a fantasy colour. I was totally blown away with how well I was treated and taken care of. Good place to just relax and get your hair done.

Used a Groupon for a hair cut and deep conditioning treatment..staff were hospitable, but my end result was a nightmare. Cut off 5 inches of hair ( per my request). The next day, I washed my hair to remove the beautiful curls the stylist did for me when I discovered the WORST thing, my hair cut was uneven!! Ended up going to another place and they had to cut another 2.5 inches to make my hair even. So upset.

Went in for a specific look, they told me it’s ok ,it would take 4 hours and made me an appointment , I showed up on time to my appointment, they didn’t wanted to do it because “(my hair color is not good for the look) “ but apparently it was already too late and wanted to do a quicker look because it would look better on me””super nice service and clean good looking place but won’t recommend

I had previously reviewed this salon but sadly when we had an issue I had to deleted it. Upon arrival at this salon they were very helpful and accommodating to what my daughter wanted done with her hair. One week later and $160 less in my pocket the dye had ALL come out of her hair. So I called the salon spoke to JP at that point he was helpful, it wasnt until I called back to set up an Appt for the re-do did the tone change. I was told they were not going to re-do her hair feee of charge because the two week period had past (I was NEVER told this). So I asked to speak to the owner, Anne she was not available but would be in at 4. So I called back at 4 to find now they were screening her calls and she wasnt available. I was giving a phony cell number to call her which I did with no return call. Ive never given a business a one star rating until now. If you like to be lied to about how much a service will cost and have to pay more upon completion, this is the salon for you. If you like to be lied to about correcting an issue and not correcting, this is the salon for you. If you like to watch the owner and her employees take selfies all afternoon while their customers watch on, this is the salon for you. Very disappointed in their salon, customer service (rude employees) and have an owner not even return a phone call when theres an issue is not acceptable especially after the outrages prices they charge after the fact.

Through Yelp I found Shear Envy.THE SOLUTION: My daughter and I booked appointments and made our way to the salon. I have to say 3rd Ave has really picked up since I was last there. This salon is beautiful! Great vibe and design. Ashley gave my daughter and me a consultation and explained how a keratin treatment will take away the frizz. Never heard of it, but my BFF, Google, said she was spot on. So away they went. Next up Martha came and gave me a really great haircut. I’m not saying I’m George Clooney, but… She gave me a cut that worked best with my hair.THE RESULTS: You know how it’s impossible to replicate what the stylists do? Well Martha not only cut my hair, she taught me how to wash and blow dry it, as well as how to style it and what products to use. See you later, Dove, hello RandCo! As for my daughter, OMG! She now has silky hair and Ashley was super patient with her.MOVING FORWARD: We definitely found our stylists and can’t wait to come back. The food is always good

I had a miserable experience!!!!! After being there for 6 HOURS for a partial foil and color underneath with a trim I left sobbing after sobbing in the chair for 2 hours. I went in with some decent regrowth but it was BLONDE. I left with gray hair!! The bleach was left on WAAAAAAAAY to long which I kept saying to the girl doing my hair. So since it was left on it is so over processed, brittle and disgusting now. They had to throw a toner on the highlights and its still freaking gray and ashy instead of the blonde I wanted. How I went in with blonde hair and left with gray is beyond me. My hair now feels so dry and weak Im afraid to even brush it and thats after they did a deep conditioning treatment to try to fix the mistake... I WILL NEVER RETURN and have advised my friends and family not to go there. After repeatedly telling the girl I was nervous with how long the bleach was left on she kept trying to convince me it was normal.... nope, nothing about this experience was normal. All I wanted was to have my hair look nice for when my baby was born for pictures and now Im completely embarrassed to be seen. I didnt ask to look like a 70 year old woman!!! Even the manager said oh its pretty light youre basically at silver.... I didnt ask for silver!!! I asked for light blonde!!!!! And it still cost me 125.00 for hair that I hate and will now have to pay a second time to get fixed which will have to wait until after my baby comes which means my hair will look like crap for the pictures we were planning!!!! So disappointed. All I wanted was a nice relaxing me day before baby and it was a complete nightmare!!!!!!! I would not recommend this place if you want nice blonde highlights!
