I came to Passport Health in advance of a trip to Thailand. I give the location high marks for the ease of making an appointment, cleanliness, thoroughness of the staff in assessing your travel disease risks and needs, and pricing transparency. The physician covers a lot of ground during the appointment and offered helpful product recommendations like Permethrin and an array of medications to prevent food borne illnesses. The vaccinations are well-priced and the physician also indicated where insurance might pick up costs for more common shots and booster, where prescriptions might be less expensive, etc.This is an amazing and affordable local resource for anyone traveling abroad. Great value for wellness and peace of mind.

I had been surprised with a trip to Thailand for my birthday and needed immunizations on really short notice. Some of the vaccines require a lot more time to be effective, so it’s recommended to visit several weeks before a trip. William the nurse helped list and explain what diseases were on the radar for my destination and talked me through the process the whole time. I was never at a loss and I fully understood what risks were involved with my choices for immunization. The receptionist who answered my call was also very informative, and I appreciated her effort in accommodating me on such short notice!

He explained the risks of various types of infection based on my trip plans (or lack thereof) and previous travel history to help ensure I am as safe as possible for my trip. Did not push products like a sales pitch, which is always nice. The provided packet to take on my trip in case anything happens is also very comforting.

They answered all of our questions and went over all the things we needed for our trip. They also provided a nice booklet that provided additional information specific to our trip. William at Passport Health was extremely helpful and it was easy to tell his main concern was your safety. Gave facts and reasons for/against each vaccine and left the decision up to you. All research you thought needed to be done was given to you in a well put together binder (wish I knew that beforehand). Most people dont wait until 3 days before departure but even so I feel safe and ready to travel. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back for my next adventure.

I am preparing for a trip to SEA and William the nurse was incredibly helpful. Im usually a fly by the seams kind of guy and i was worried that getting my immunizations would be a situation based on fear mongering and salesmanship. That was certainly not the case here. Dr. Heerden was very welcoming and informative of my entire trip. When I made the appointment they asked where I was going and had a travel booklet ready for me when I arrived at the office specified for my travel plans. He educated me about every medicine I might need and an alternative if there was one available. The first made sure I understood the reason for the vaccinations and possible side effects. I showed up early and he was more than happy to start the appointment early. Definitely coming back before my next international trip!

Amazing! I called and got an appointment for the very next day. Great hours, I went after work. It was a warm warm summers day when I ventured to the Passport Health in Greektown. I met William who is very thorough and wants to make sure that you understand each shot and why to get those shots. He is ready for the appointment the moment you walk in, not having you repeat the questions you filled out prior. William knows what he is talking about!! Super convenient.

They helped us a ton on what vaccines to get.Juli sat with us for an hour and had a booklet made up of recommended vaccinations and other health and safety advice for the countries were traveling to.She was patient and kind with all our questions. We decided to do a couple shots, and we got them done then and there.Theres also travel kits and what not to get. It definitely calmed our stress about what to get for our travels!

I was welcomed at the door by name which has I very much appreciated. The consultation was thorough and informative. There was no pressure and was given the space to make the decisions for medications as was most fit for me. Generally great place, would recommend to all travelers.

I am traveling to Ghana in two weeks and was able to make an appointment online with great ease. My appointment was at 4, and I was seen within five minutes of arriving...totally excellent for a busy person like myself. I had the honor of meeting with the Corey McVey, the executive director and he literally walked me through each vaccination and things I needed to be aware of. On top of that he did not try to push the yellow fever vaccination; I was told it was only good for ten years and he showed documentation that it is good for life. What a savings. I actually will recommend that for my student trip for 2017. They are professional and answer all of your questions.

Passport health in particular William was great in helping us prepare for our upcoming honeymoon out of country! He was extremely knowledgeable and sticks to the CDC guidelines and recommendations. I would highly recommend him for any of your travel needs!

Our experience was very good at Passport Health. The workers here provided us with all of the information on which shots we needed, what are common illnesses in the country we are visiting, other information on the countries, and what medications and repellents we would need. Overall it was a good experience and there were no troubles at all. The workers are also very honest and helpful.

Passport Health West Loop is the best place to go to get your travel vaccinations. The internet has ton of information on what you need but when you come to this office, they give you the most relevant information for your trip. The doctor was super helpful and explained everything really well. We also got a booklet with great information. Highly recommend for overseas travelers.

I had great service here. The doctor here is really knowledgeable and cares a lot about you the patient. While it seemed a little bit rushed the first time I came in, I think that was because I was simply overwhelmed with all of the information. The doctor did an amazing job making sure I understood everything and that I was comfortable. I will definitely be coming back here for all of my travel vaccination needs in the future!!

I had a very enjoyable experience at this passport health location. The employees were knowledgeable, professional and understanding to me showing up a few minutes late. I was in and out of the office with all the necessary shots, in less time than expected.

The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable and straightforward about what vaccinations I did and didnt need. I feel a lot better about the travel risks I will encounter and the methods I have used to mitigate these risks under the suggestions of the doctor.

Consultation was quick and welcoming for trip to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore. I felt informed about my trip and all of the precautions I needed to take. I hate needles, but my vaccination was completely painless. While I had researched what I needed beforehand, The consultation was able to provide me with information I had not found online.

While planning a mission trip and vacation to Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Zambia, we needed to get the proper vaccinations. Passport Health in the West Loop was a lifesaver!! They walked us through, step-by-step, which areas were infected, what each vaccination will essentially do, and how and when each should be administered. The process of knowing which vaccinations to get and when, etc. can be quite taxing, and coming here reduced the headache of it all. I definitely recommend coming here for your next overseas trip!
