Dr. Siegel is a caring and extremely knowledgeable doctor. Yes, you likely have to wait. Knowing that, I take something to read and plan my day accordingly. The care that Doctor Siegel and his staff provides is well worth the wait. He takes time to read his previous notes and then to listen to his patient. He explains his procedures and his diagnosis. He is not rushed. His office staff is kind and welcoming. Mimi, who does the hearing tests, makes each person feel comfortable and at home.

Dr. Siegel is an amazing doctor. Do not trust the other poorly rated reviews. Do yall really want a doctor that gives fast/rushed treatment or do you want a doctor that examines thoroughly and provides an accurate diagnosis? You can tell by the way the doc works that he cares deeply about his patients and will not steer you in the wrong direction. Go to this guy if you want good treatment. Or not - go to another doctor that just wants to money grab.

Dr. Siegel is the best! He has been my doctor and surgeon for almost 20 years. I love both his bedside manner and medical expertise.

Dr. Siegel and his office take the time to make sure you understand whats going on. He cares deeply about his patients and in my case, has probably helped to find cancer early enough to save my life. He is appropriately cautious, but not overly iintrusive. A great doctor!

I get that ENT’s can run late and doctors in general. The office is vintage decor. Lots of clocks. I was a patient of Dr McMahans. I liked the doctor a lot and wasn’t annoyed by a doctor being late as some others stated. I have had many doctors run late. I lived in France and nothing like waiting there. Bring a book is a good idea for next time. I like his approach to resolving my chronic sinus infections since I have a PID. Something I haven’t tried so looking forward to it. He doesn’t seem to over medicate which I like. And took my underlying condition seriously. I find the doctor extremely knowledgeable, great bed side manner and sounds cautious. All which to me makes a great doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gordon Siegel for about four years. Dr. Siegel performed my sinus surgery and I have never had another problem. He has also helped me immensely with ear problems which are now much better. What sets Dr. Siegel apart from many others are his “bedside manners.” He spends time with each patient and answers every question. You never feel rushed or hurried out the door. He thoroughly explains his answers to my questions and is a terrific listener. Dr. Siegel has a marvelous sense of humor and also makes you feel at home in his office which is filled with clocks and Beatles memorabilia. Quite unique! The office staff are kind and friendly. They answer questions and are marvelous with future appointments and medicine calls to your pharmacy. I have called often and always received kind and courteous services.Mimi is outstanding in assisting Dr. Siegel with audio testing.Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon Siegel with any ears, nose or throat difficulties you may be experiencing. You will not have to look any further.

I visited Dr. Siegel about 20 years ago when I had lost my voice. He didnt just examine my physical problem. He sat and took the time to find out who I was and what would be the best treatment for my problem. I left my initial appointment very comfortable that I was in the right place. He had to perform surgery which was absolutely painless and 100% successful. This year, I began to have problems with my throat and voice again. I saw Dr. Siegel and this time, even though I was ready for surgery, he advised me to wait, give my voice a rest, and see what happens first. He called me several times to check my progress. No surgery, no pain, no voice problems after about 2 months. To find an honest being today is rare. I would have gladly spent whatever it took to fix my throat. I guess I will stick to car repair. Thank you Dr. Siegel for your passion and honesty. I also thank you for taking the time to properly steer my treatment in a direction that is best for me. Wish I could add a 6th star.

As other reviewers have noted, if you come to this office you will experience a huge waste in your time and rude office staff. I have waited a half a business day on occasion and then didnt have a resolution in my diagnoses. While the doctor is kind, he must not be concerned with his customer/patients experience. And god forbid you have to call this office for any follow ups. Always. Rude!

If I didn’t really need to see an ENT I wouldn’t have stayed. Other comments are spot on. The office is really dirty-aren’t there standards for cleanliness at a doctor’s office?! The exam room is full of weird clocks all tick-ticking and then in the hour one of them plays music. So far I’ve heard two rounds of that.He was over 2.5 hours late and no one had the courtesy to come in and let me know what was going on or to offer me water or anything.I’ll never come here again.

Terrible experience. After waiting and watching my appointment time pass by, I went to front desk to inquire when the doctor would be seeing me. I was nonchalantly informed that it would be at least an hour more wait time. Apparently this is standard for this doctor and office. When I suggested that the front desk should inform patients that their appointment time would not actually be at the time that was scheduled, the response I received was that the doctor sees 20 patients a day and she has other things to do than tell patients that. Seriously?!?! I took my paperwork and left. Will find another doctor and staff who respects my time.

Completely 100% unacceptable I read the reviews that the doctor runs really really late I was referred by Dr. McMahon and he told me that he’s known for being very late and to check in over the phone or tell them to give me a call and I can go shopping or run an errand while he was running late and instead of sitting for two hours in his office. I called at 10 AM and asked how late the doctor was running the receptionist said 15 minutes I said are you sure it’s 15 minutes because last time was a really long time I said can I just check in over the phone she said no you have to check it in person fine I said but I’m not waiting this long she said well it’s never more than an hour I’m like well last time it was 2 hours she was giving me a lot of attitude so I just hung up. I get to the office and they make me wait in the room from 10:30 AM to 12:06 PM One hour and 36 minutes I went to the front desk and I said I need to get back to work I took my lunch break and why did she tell me 15 minutes and they said well at the time it was 15 minutes I find it very hard to believe that from 10 to 1030 a 15 minute wait jumped up to almost an hour and 40 minutes it is so unbelievably irresponsible and unprofessional to make patients that are taking a lunch break that need to get back to work an almost 2 hour wait in the waiting room and I’m just so livid that I specifically even called and asked and the snotty receptionist had to give me all that attitude. When I was obviously right. NEVER again am I coming to this doctor. And the receptionists lie if you ask how long is he running? They always say 15 minutes and that’s all and it’s always an hour and a half to two hours do not come here.

Amazing ENT. After having my wisdom teeth pulled and suffered from a chronic sinus infection for 9 months he was the only doctor to discover I had a small hole from my mouth to my sinus cavity. He performed the surgery right away. Wait times in his office are awful but call ahead before going in. He spent plenty of time with me explaining my options. His office isn’t the traditional experience one would expect. Every room is a different color and there are hundreds of clocks. Entertaining to say the least. Amazing doctor. He literally saved my life.

My first appointment was fine, but when I went to the follow-up two weeks later, they had no clue why I was there. I was asked if it was my one-year checkup and I had to tell them I had only been there once and that was just two weeks prior. I had to explain to them what I was there for a follow-up appointment. I mentioned that I thought it was for a CT scan, and was told, no, that didnt seem likely, and then told again five minutes later that, yes, I was probably there for a CT scan. Then I was told to wait while the staff checked to see if they had contacted my insurance to cover the scan. I waited 45 minutes and when the doctor finally came in, he gave me the I take as much time as I need with each patient, line. I got the strong feeling that they are terribly disorganized and that I would not receive good care from them so I left.

Oh man. Ugliest doc office Ive ever been in. Dirty and cluttered. Waited over an hour for my appointment. Would not recommend to anyone! There are too many good doctors in Chicago to put up with this office. There are signs everywhere that say they are sorry if they cant maintain appointment times due to best possible care.....so I have a feeling they run late often! Dont go here!!

Many here complain of long wait times. They have a legitimate point. I do believe the Dr Siegel and his office could do a better job with scheduling. That said, I give Dr Siegel 5 stars. He is an excellent doctor. I came to Dr S. with terrible nasal issues and he took care of me. He listens, he never hesitates to try a different approach. All he cares about is helping you get better. When my daughter had an medical issue and it looked like her surgery might be delayed, he offered to do the surgery right away. He is a doctor, through and through, 100%. He is one of the best doctors Ive ever had.

I recently (March 2019) got a nose surgery performed by Dr Siegel, the end results are very disappointing, he was supposed to realign my nose septum and instead it looks crooked, it is completely visible and my breathing problems are not resolved. Last time I went to see him, he told me in a very unprofessional way, if I didnt receive a blow to my nose after surgery. Trying to put the blame on me.DO NOT GO see him, look for real professionals instead.

I actually found this quite a good experience. He was a really personable doctor that took the time to talk to me and understand my issues, and understand other factors in my health situation that impacted the reason I was visiting him. I will say, the office is eclectic.... Certainly a bit bizarre, but it grew on me. Im not exactly sure the complaint people have regarding needing more tests. I was happy to finally run into a doctor that was willing to go further than throw pills at me and hope for the best. Anyway, he really helped me mitigate my sinus issues, something 2 GPs, an allergist, and another ENT were never able to help me with with random pills. Overall, this was a good set of experiences for me (and I say set of experience). Im glad I went here.

He was recommended by my primary Northwestern physician, and I am SO thankful. Dr. Siegel is also a Northwestern doctor, but youd never guess it since the office has hundreds of souvenirs from global trips.Befor Dr. Siegel, I saw another ENT who misdiagnosed my issues;Dr. Siegel re-assessed my nose, explained why each issue occurred based on various indicators, and gave several treatment options. Thank you!Caveats - He runs late often, yet! Bring a book:) He has a VERY BIG (and warm) personality with unpretentious office decorations from around the world to match. Be prepared!

Horrendous experience. I immediately regretted it as soon as I walked in. Waited an hour in a dirty and dusty examination room before going to the front to find out what was taking so long. It took another half hour for the doctor to show up. He spent maybe 10 minutes with me before saying there was nothing he could do until I went to Northwestern Hospital for tests (which ended up costing over $2000). My hour and a half wait and ten minutes with the doctor, alone, cost me over $250. Im not sure how this place is still in business but do not go here. I wish I could take this experience back.
