Dr. Parnell is as good as a physician as Ive ever seen. Knowledgeable, personable, and extremely competent. My retinal issue was very serious, but II wa in good hands. The office was well run and considerate.

I was referred to Retina Services of Illinois by my ophthalmologist for further diagnosis. It was straightforward to setup an appointment. However, on the day of consultancy very few things went well. The overall time spent by me was about 3 hours, out of which I was waiting for most of the time. Other than the time for the tests, the doctor spent hardly 10 minutes with me. The explanation was so fast and complicated - I dont think a person with no medical background can understand that. Anyway, it isnt clear what the cause of the problem is - that part I trust the doctor. After the tests and consultation are done, I requested for the prints of my scan but I was given couple of black and white printouts which is almost useless. I couldnt believe such an established medical center cant provide me the diagnosis details after the visit. They told me that they would follow-up by sending the diagnosis in mail - but I havent received any after 10 days. Nevertheless, the charges for the tests and consultancy even after insurance is unaffordable too. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
