I used to go to the dincin center and there were some good points as well as bad its life however after budget cuts a lot of what we as clients( members) relied on are no longer available to us which is messed up cause many of us needed those services , meals , etc certain staff are extremely rude find fault in what we as members do how we dress and trust me when I say favoritism is something that goes on I was romantically involved with another member after we broke up I was asked to avoid going to their freedom center cause it would upset my ex ...no joke this place has no compassion whatsoever and very unprofessional

This might have been a useful facility for the mentally ill if not for the politically correct, eager young social workers allowing a bully environment to take root, flourish and ultimately dominate and become impossible to fix.I have heard they are leaving the neighborhood, probably because the ancient mansion the program is in is becoming unfit for human life.Amazingly, there are a few staff members literally in the same position they started in at the turn of the century. And their nastiness and burnout hurts the few high functioning clients who care about something more than chain smoking and loitering.

High functioning clients are quick to learn how much the center staff; (Christines team) will have you banned for something that they let happen...

Great social workers and art Therapist and Art department. However management should care about rights of clients and social workers. The major cuts to the Drop in Center hours, days, activities, meals and leisure have been a disservice to us.
