I would not recommend this office to anyone. It’s hard to even repeat my experience because it was so heartbreaking and negative.I was concerned about a drug/treatment that is recommended, but one that is not backed by research. I asked the doctor if she could point me in the direction of research or scholarly journals relating to the impact of said medication on fertility, and she said she could not, because it does not exist. She went on to say that if she were me, she would be more concerned about my age (34) and she repeatedly referred to my “old” and “bad” eggs. I told her I understand my age and I understand what she is saying. She went on to say there could be problems like having a child with Down syndrome. I had to stop her, because my brother has Down syndrome and he is definitely not a problem. I was so shocked at that point that I couldn’t even say “if you had listened earlier, you would have known that.” I had told her about my family and my close relationship with him, but I guess she didn’t listen. At an early point in the appointment, she asked how I cared for myself, and I told her it was through prayer and the church. At this point, she seemed to be trying to connect on a spiritual/religious level. However, you cannot call yourself a Christian and then suggest that it’s okay that you might want to do something about having a child with disabilities.I couldn’t believe I was sitting in an office focused on health and wellness and had someone refer an entire population of people as “problems” that results from “old and bad eggs.”

During my three-year experience as a patient at the Raby Institute, I was seen by three different doctors, two different nurse practitioners, a few medical assistants, and I spoke many times with the members of the billing department. My experience started out strong and then took a sharp nosedive. I do not recommend the Raby Institute to anyone anymore. The massive amount of stress and frustration I experienced trying to get a simple phone call returned was absolutely unbelievable. I left a voicemail message every week for months with the medical assistant before getting a call back — and that call back was not helpful whatsoever. I was asked to do multiple rounds of very expensive bloodwork, and when I inquired about the results they gaslighted me to the extreme. When I asked in advance what appointments would cost me out of pocket, unfortunately, I received a lot of misinformation. There are many individuals I connected with who obviously care about patients’ experiences, though the negatives definitely outweighed the positives for me. I will be finding a new doctor who does not cause me stress. It doesn’t seem like asking a question to a medical assistant should be too much to ask.

Similar story to another review. I went for a regular yearly visit, I have good insurance, yet still owe $1,000!? I’ve never had a regular visit cost so much. Dr. Johnson is a good doctor but in regards to billing they are beyond ridiculous. Communication with them is very difficult as well, once you’re out of the office.

I went here back in March for a regular visit and some blood work. The total cost was over $2,500 for a 20-30 min visit and some blood work. On top of that, they switched their lab so they kept telling me that I was squared away (or were unresponsive as a whole) as I paid everything off. After hours of back and forth with with them, the ACTUAL lab that they billed initially, and collections, I had to owe over $600 out of pocket for a very standard visit. Unless you have AMAZING insurance, I would recommend going somewhere else. They only get 2 stars because I did like the dr I visited.

This practice used to be of high quality but no longer. Dr Raby came in to do a consult with me having not reviewed my blood work in advance and tried to reorder the very same bloodwork I had just had. The front office staff are beyond rude and this has repeatedly been pointed out time after time. The only bright light is Dr Chavez. She demonstrates a commitment to patient care consistently. Sadly, I have decided to leave this practice for good.

I had a great experience here. Both of the receptionist were extremely friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. I only waited a few minutes before being called in for my appointment. The nurse taking my vitals was very sweet, kind and helpful. Dr. Johnson went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and heard. She took time to listen to me and put a plan in action for my health, and was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. Phlebotomist came in right away for my labs and he was also very kind. One of the best gyne visits I’ve ever had, and exactly how all gyne visits should be. So happy I’ve found this practice and I’ll be consistently returning.

The receptionists at the front desk will ruin your entire experience. They are extremely rude. However, the medical staff is nice and knowledgeable. My husband and I have been patients here since we moved to Chicago in 2015, but the behavior of the front desk staff is so unacceptable that we are exploring another practice to continue our care.

Raby Institute went above and beyond today for me. After being on the phone with my insurance for a half hour, I called Raby and they alleviated my concerns and relieved a lot of the stress I was feeling because of a in-network/out-of-network mixup. Its this kind of customer service stands out! I wish I remembered the ladys name that I spoke on the phone with but she was incredible!

I thought I had written a review previously but I dont see it here. I had a bad experience there. They pushed their overpriced vitamins and HGB on me. I felt like they just had a cookie cutter approach for everyone. The HGB would have been horrible for me because I had fibroids at the time and it would have made them grow exponentially.Overall it was an interesting experience They also recommended some sort of detox that I think I might do that involves rubbing castor oil on your stomach. This was a really long time ago. It took over 4 months to get the appointment Im not sure if their timing is better now

This place has the potential to be great but they need a lot of work. Every single time I have come here - it’s a minimum of 20-60 minutes waiting in the lobby. They really need to get it together. My first time coming for n annual physical- I was here for 2 hours. Only 10 minutes with the doctor. I thought it was a fluke; they are consistently double booked and do not respect your time. Today I’m here for blood work. I checked in with the receptionist who kept asking me for a physical plastic card. I let her know that my insurance doesn’t issue those- only the paper copy she already had. She asked me to be seated. 20 minutes later she tell me that they are waiting for me in the lab. Really? Or am I the one waiting? Ridiculous.

I can not say enough about this place. From when we walked in the door, to Dr. Donigan’s wonderful explanations and caring ways. If I could give this a 10 I would. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and didn’t make me feel like my prior doctor did, that it was all in my head what I am feeling. She was wonderful and made me so at ease. It’s hard to find doctors not rushing you, and taking the time to figure out what is wrong and not just throw you on meds or not listen to your concerns! Thank you Dr.Donigan!

I have had a very good experience with Melissa Frazelle NP. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to review your results with you. Her nurse Susanne is also very friendly and helpful whenever I call. I like that they incorporate functional medicine into their practice. Nice office as well. Eileen Dembowski

Absoulty horrible with foul business practices being borderline scammers. The woman behind the front desk would not give my credit card back until after my Doctor visit...WHAT!?!? She literally held my credit card hostage until after my appointment and then charged my CC $600 before I approved it for the office visit and labs! I even asked before hand about the charges. Then of course during your first visit Dr. Raby will prescribes all these additional supplements, remember its the first visit Dr. Raby hasnt even seen my blood work because it hasnt even been ordered or drawn yet, So how does she know what supplements to prescribe?? And conveniently the gift shop/supplement shop is located by the exit as you walk out...hmmmmm.I called my credit card and explained about the foul business practices and my credit card agreed and denied payment!

I will agree at first they were rude to me when they answer the phone. I check this in the door because Im the patient. However after this no more problems. I went in anyways the doctors and nurses are so friendly. And the area is very calm and peacefull environment as your waiting. As far as a waiting game on the phone I have only experience this once time. But I do know if you dont click the right option for yourself it could be much longer.

I agree with other reviews that their receptionist (older woman) is super rude. It feels like she is doing an extreme favor while its called her job, I dont know why they are keeping her after so many complaints. Other staff is absolutely amazing.

No one picks up the telephone. You will be waiting on the phone forever to make an appointment or to have your questions answered. There is no office management or protocol. Terribly frustrating. You must sit through a long advertisement message for a gynecological treatment and then an advertisement for their store. When someone finally picks up the phone they dont seem to know what to do or where to connect you. Ive called three different departments, even the billing department and no one picked up the phone. When I finally spoke with someone she connected me to the wrong department then I had to wait another 20 minute to get reconnected. The only reason I put up with it is because Dr. Chavez and Dr. Patawaran are wonderful. I would give the Raby Instititute one star if it werent for the these two doctors.

My first appointment is this week and my experience dealing with this institution has been quite unappetizing. The receptionist Ana is extremely unprofessional and makes this institution appear unethical and not worthy of anyone seeking medical help. This institution was highly recommended by my neurologist. Therefore, after my bad experience with the receptionist, I was highly disappointed. I just hope that my experience with the physician changes my views of this place and I actually find the help Im looking for with alternative medicine and not worsen my health.

Arguably one of the best medical clinics in Chicagoland. All practitioners go the extra mile to take time with patients, hear their story and address the root cause of their illness.Highly recommend!

Very discouraged when I called to make my first appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. Bad vibe so I will unfortunately look for another gynecologist with a holistic/natural approach.
