Wouldn’t go back. Was so excited for my 1st Brazilian with Sugaring Chicago. The website claims to remove ALL hair front and back but I walked out with multiple patches of hair! And what’s crazy is Emani would take several steps back during the removal to quote “make sure she got everything” I thought wow this girl is really thorough but it was all a joke. She makes great conversation which distracts you from the pain but almost to a fault because she wasn’t focused enough on the task at hand. Not worth the $60. Plus the receptionist had no interest in her job at all, I didn’t feel welcome she was always on her phone and didn’t acknowledge me when I was done. I could’ve walked right out the door without paying and she wouldn’t have noticed. I literally had to ask do I pay here orrrrrrrrr…….? No thank you, goodbye, how was it just her phone.

The sugaring was fine and well done but i rather hated the fact that my appointment was at 9am and they didnt even start till 9:30am. In addition, someone had t go in front of me because she had to go to work. I ended up not leaving a 9am appoint till 10:15am. So if you get an appointment with the trainees, plan for more time than you think and basically have an open day.

Got my eyebrows waxed. terrible job. bad shape. took of skin on my eyelids and under brow. my eyelids were swollen when I woke up and I have little scabs on both of my eyelids and right under brow! and they hurt

If this review was just for Luvly-it would be 5 stars!!!The reason I am giving 4 stars is because I have had some issues with the corporate office... On a few occasions I have booked appointments 6 weeks in advance only to get my time moved around without speaking with me first on the day of the appointment. I just received text messages that my appointment was rescheduled, which was very confusing. I always schedule for right after work ( I work in the same building at Sugaring Chicago)... When I called to let them know I could not make the time they rescheduled me for because I was still going to be working, they basically told me I was out of luck. I went upstairs to speak with the girls in person and they were able to accommodate me, which was awesome!

I went to European Wax Center & got my first wax. The experience was okay, and I didnt like the results. A friend told me to check out this place, and I was a bit hesitant because its super far from my house. However, I am so happy that I decided to check them out. I chose Rachel as my specialist because I saw all the great reviews about her, and Im super happy I did. She was super professional and thorough. 10/10, I recommend & I LOVE THE RESULTS! Please check them out! You wont regret it.

Great results but hard to find. It’s in an apartment complex so you have to talk to the front desk. My name wasn’t in his system but I was still luckily allowed to attend my appointment.

Maria was great, but just be forewarned that there isn’t a first-time customer special. I had found a promotion for 50% off for first-time customers on the Sugaring NYC website but was told it doesn’t apply because Sugaring Chicago is different since it’s franchised. This was confusing since even in the “Sugaring Chicago” salon everything is branded as ‘Sugaring NYC.’ The manager refused to honor it with this rationale which is a pretty pathetic excuse. I’d try a different place next time.

The website description is incorrect on how long your hair needs to be in order to receive a wax. I saw how great the reviews were and booked my first appointment with them, drove 40 mins to their location, paid $20 to park, just to find out the hair isn’t long enough and “they’ve been asking corporate to update their website”. The tech I had was very knowledgeable and was able to answer most of my questions but ultimately I left upset because it was nothing but a waste of time.

It was my first time ever getting waxed and I was, of course, a little nervous. I brought a friend along to help comfort me and be moral supporting for this experience. I decided to go with NaSeita for services for today and Im so glad I did. She was kind, patient, and was very professional.I will most definitely be booking with her again. My first visit to this salon was on 17 October 2020 and I received the best customer service! The staff is very friendly and make you feel comfortable from the moment you step foot inside. I booked my appointment with Brittany and she did an excellent job of explaining the difference between sugar waxing and traditional waxing, how the sugar wax is made and the benefits of sugar waxing. I was pleasantly surprised by how it didnt hurt (compared to my experiences of traditional waxing). The facility is also very clean and feels spacious considering it is in an office building and had safety measures implemented for COVID-19 (i.e. hand sanitizers and face mask requirements). My skin looks amazing and feels much better compared to me shaving -and the best part is that my hair didn’t grow back in thicker. I highly recommend booking an appointment here!

This was my 1st time in nearly 2 years getting a wax & it was a great experience! NaSeita my esthetician was very welcoming & down to earth. I was so nervous and she really calmed me down & told me to deep breath. All in all, the atmosphere was cute and pink. They get 10 stars from me!

Like many people visiting, I read the reviews in advance of my first trip and decided to schedule an appointment with Brittany B. It was a great decision! She was incredibly welcoming and patient in answering all my questions during my visit, and helping with my concerns. During my wax, we had great conversation as she helped me through the process. My experience with Sugar NYC definitely deserves the five stars. Having been my first time going, Brittany’s vibrant and welcoming personality as well as her knowledge with the sugaring method made my visit stress-free and actually sort of fun. Have already made my next appointment. Beware though because depending on your pain tolerance, sugaring can be painful, but less painful than normal waxing!

My best friend and I booked an appointment to get Sugared together. I found the Sugaring Chicago on Instagram and was in need of a new wax place (I just moved back to the city from the east coast) I had Blanca she was so professional and made me very comfortable. I purchased the exfoliating blueberry scrub and booked my next visit! Thanks for the first time positive experience.

I am super late on writing this review but this place is awesome! I am a huge fan of sugaring over waxing or shaving and this place is the best spot around. Very clean and welcoming. The space is cute, pink, and modern - makes you want to hangout there longer! A bit difficult to find as it is inside a multi unit building not a storefront. Brittany was my aesthetician and she was great! Super friendly and made me feel very comfortable which is saying something during a bikini wax! I have my next appointment booked and recommend it to all my friends.

I’ve been seeing Seita since I started sugaring in February and she is great, knowledgeable and nice. Only downside about this location is the Parking but I’m happy they opened the new location now with better parking prices.

My daughter told me about Sugaring so I decided to give it a try. The location was good, the office setup was very nice and clean and a relaxing setting. My esthetician (Jordan) was friendly and welcoming. I was very relaxed and she was patient with me. I definitely felt comfortable with her and feel comfortable enough to go back to her for my next visit. It was quite an experience!

This was my first time coming here. Shakema is great at what she does. Great personality and customer service. She was able to accommodate and service me after a mix up on my end. I almost always have some discomfort after Brazilians but this sugaring was thorough with no pain after.

Service wasnt performed as asked, but management reached out and resolved issue appropriately! Sugaring mich less painful than waxing!

Once you go sugaring, you cant go back. I would definitely recommend sugaring if you are prone to razor bumps like myself. I got my armpits and bikini area sugared by Shakema. I am three weeks post sugaring and I have to say Shakema did an excellent job. She was very patient and knowledgeable during the process! I also loved the post care options they offer at Sugaring Chicago. Their anti razor bump spray + their moisturizing oil are great products!! I will definitely be back!

My experience with Brittany was great. It was my very first time with sugaring and face waxing! Unfortunately I don’t think I will be doing it again — AT ALL. I’m not sure what happened but even after the redness went away, my face started breaking out severely! I’m not positive it was the esthetician’s fault, but it seemed as if she was going over the same areas of my face multiple times with the same wax. Generally, that’s a big no no with waxing but I didn’t know if it was a different technique that’s done with sugar wax. I hate that my face broke out so bad! I feel awful.3 stars for friendliness and the hair removal was great BUT my breakout is too severe!

SUCH an amazing first experience for me! I saw Brittany and she was quick, informative, and friendly. I recently moved to Chicago from out of state, so I was super nervous having never done the sugaring hair removal technique before, only Brazilian waxing. I’ve had a Brazilian once before and it was a horrible traumatizing experience, i was going to give sugar waxing a shot and if it still was too painful i was going to give up. Seriously great staff here! Brittany has given me two wonderful experiences getting a Brazilian sugar. I was super scared because I’m pregnant and I’m afraid of it being painful. Not gonna lie - I said wonderful experience, not pleasant. What made it wonderful was that Brittany talks to you and distracts you from what’s going on and tells you when to breathe! She’s awesome!! As a bonus, she’s super fast. 10min and she’s done! Boom!

Sugaring Chicago is so much better than waxing place i used to go for 2 years. Sugaring Waxing is 100% organic. What is love about it, its not hot when they apply it on the skin and my result on legs lasted for over 4 weeks - i had absolutely no hair growing on the area that was sugared. This is because they remove the hair with the root from the folicle, so it takes much longer to re-grow. With regular waxing, they just break your hair fast, pretty , much same as shaving.

This was my first time waxing ever, and Brittany made my first experience super comfortable and quick! I immediately booked my next appointment after I was done. So worth it!

Amazing Facial sugar wax with Shakema..it was my first time and she made me feel very comfortable..I got some red bumps on my face maybe my skin is too sensitive waiting for it to be fine.

I previously posted a review that I feel the need to retract. Ive been an avid waxer for years, and the pain was always tolerable. This was absolutely 10 times worse. Im also swollen in every sugared area still with lingering pain. I dont recommend it at all. The process is prolonged compared to waxing, and more repetitive applications are needed in order to remove the hair. It hurts more than anything Ive experienced in a while (Ive regulatly waxed for 3 years) not worth the small organic benefit.Also I felt pressured to give a positive review while still in the facility. I continued to say Id do to another time, and the employee pushed a bit that I stand infront of her and do it, because it was easier for meI wont be returning
