Absolutely worth coming here than dealing with a physician in network! Their staff is great and they use the latest tests. Aka ... no air puff test. Also, I appreciate how they are up front on cost. I dont get that from most of my other medical expenses.

My first appt. was a real eye opener , ( no pun intended ) . I knew my vision had changed and needed an exam . They found many things , do to age and dry eye . How can I have .. for the last fifteen years my eyes constantly tear ? Well , after the test results were in Dr. Lopez explained all , to me . Gave me , understanding and much needed advise on how to care for my situation .My follow-up appointment was today my dry-eye has improved and my new glasses improved my vision , there is definately no price on vision ! I think his office staff are kind and considerate . I highly recommend this office and staff .

Been going here for my keratoconus for the last three years and I can FINALLY SEE. After a few exam tests and about a thousand annoying questions from me later, Dr. Lopez hooked me up with some scleral lenses and the rest is history. Took me some time to get used to putting them in, and they’re not cheap, but I’ve never seen so clearly in my life. Every time I go in Dr. Lopez explains every test result that he gets (which makes me feel way more informed) and Jasmine, Nazneen and the rest of the staff I’ve met over the years have been super nice and helpful. They’re very personable and I honestly like seeing everyone and getting updates on their lives every time I go in. Most importantly, they’re taking all the necessary precautions during Covid. Masks, disinfectant, temperature checks, hand washes, limited guests at a time, etc. I like this place a lot and it’s the only spot in chicago who not only specializes in keratoconus but makes you feel like family.

I have been going to Dr. Lopez for 6 years. He is the ONLY eye doctor that has the knowledge for Keratoconus and the passion to keep up on continuing education and all of the latest treatment options. Nazneen and Jasmine are very personable and polite and knowledgeable and do their jobs very well. Thank you fo all you do.

Dr. Lopez and his team are incredible. After being diagnosed with Keratoconus by another doctor who wasn’t specialized with that condition I did some research and found Occhiali Eyeglass. I recently experienced what I found out was a vitreous detachment with a hemorrhage in the left eye. His office was the closet to me (as my regular doc is in the Lisle/Naperville area), so I called to see if he could see me even though I wasnt a patient. He wasnt in the office that day, but he graciously and generously came in to check things out.His exam was very thorough and he put me at ease immediately. And you can tell that hes someone who absolutely enjoys his job. Fantastic personality and, as I said, during this very scary incident, had me at ease in no time.His staff are all very helpful, professional, and courteous. I went back a week later for a normal eye exam and to get new glasses. Cynthia helped me pick out frames, taking the shape of my face, the rather strong prescription and how that would look within the frames and on my face, into consideration...Ive never had anyone be so thorough. The entire staff is just as conscientious.I highly recommend Dr. Lopez and Occhiali Eyeglass.

Occhiali Eyeglasses is a great store. The staff are attentive, kind and know what theyre doing. They were not pushy, but gave great advice. Dr. Lopez is a very knowledgable optometrist and answered all my questions very well. My eyeglass appointment was not only satisfactory, but interesting. They have a very wide range of frames to chose from, and even ordered some more frames in for me to try. The store is clean and nicely laid out. I recommend it highly.

Dr. Lopez has been on Wells Street for many years, and I have been a patient since he first opened. I have seen the many changes in Dr. Lopezs office and believe firmly that he works hard to be on the forefront of optometry. He is constantly upgrading his equipment and the service has always been top notch. Ive been a patient of Dr. Lopez and Occhiali for about 10 years, and many pairs of eyeglasses.I came to Dr. Lopez from one of the generic chain eyewear stores, and was amazed at my first pair of glasses, and how clearly I could see. I remember it like yesterday.Dr. Lopez always takes his time during my examination, and tells me what hes doing, and explains the implications of his findings. The staff then help me with the right lenses and fit. They keep me informed by phone about my order so I know when it will be ready.I heartily recommend Dr. Lopez for his professionalism, and for the store staff for their helpful nature.
