Im appalled by the way they treat patients.Because there was a balance owed , that was overseen by myself, I received a nasty letter saying, to find another Dermotologolist, they will not give another appointment. Ive never heard of any Dr/ clinic treat their patients in such a horrible way. My daughter works for a cardiologist and has patients that owe $5,000 and theyre not turned away, not denied service. what I had owed was not even $200 , I understand that yes, they want their money but they lack ethics and what they did is beyond reason. Thank you for your service, wont return .

This was my second experience at Derick dermatology location. I had previously tried the Arlington Heights office and had an ok/weird experience. A friend suggested Park Ridge and Dr. Hensley. So, I decided to give another location a try. When I called to make the appointment, I described the questions I wanted to review with the doctor. The chain spends a lot on interior decor and a pleasant spa-like experience. The check-in staff is smiles, efficiency, and convenience. When the doctor came in, she said Hi. Ill look at one thing but we have to be considerate of other patients time. Wellll, hello to you too? She immediately said Id need to schedule other appointments and seemed put out to even look at me. It was so off-putting that I stopped her right there and said Ill save her the frustration of today and just make an appointment for another time. She repeated something about the efficiency of time-- we hadnt even talked or examined anything yet. And I told her that she just wasted an hour of my commute time and I left the office after a 3-minute no consult exchange. I hope they dont bill me for that experience. Whoa.

Don’t go to this place for a free consultation ! Even if they determine they can’t help you and do nothing except a 5 minute visit. They bill your insurance and then send you bills. They then threaten legal action if you don’t pay up. What a scam !!!!!!They only want to give Botox and not deal with any real problem.

Had an efficient visit at this location. I will be returning. Dr J. Hensley was my provider.

Wow... Dr. Hensley is nothing less then AMAZING. She is by far the sweetest, genuine, down to earth dermatologist I have ever seen. She took her time explaining everything and made me feel comfortable. I will never stop seeing this dermatologist. I thank the heavens I was given an appointment with her! She’s truly the BEST!

I was more than pleasantly surprised when i visited derrick dermatology. i have been to numerous dermatologist office over my past 76 years and this was by far the most pleasant. every person i came in contact with was accomodating and most of all professional and pleasant and the facility was so clean and beautiful. very impressed and pleased with my visit from reception to doctor.

I had an appointment at this particular place on Feb 11th, my experience was stellar. The customer representative was nice, the Dermo was super nice and informative. However, when it came to their pharmacy department, there been a huge lack of communication which has been extremely frustrating.They told me they would try to send my specific prescription to my insurance and they would keep in touch with me. After a week I called them, they said that the insurance didn’t cover it, they asked if I would like to use a different prescription, I told them it was fine to please do that. I called again, a week later, since no one has reached out to me... they have my email, my phone number yet they can’t seem to email me or leave a voice mail. They stated that they will go ahead send me the new prescription.... to wait.It is now March 4th and the rescheduling department called me to reschedule my appointment set for May. I asked them about my prescription and they transferred me over AGAIN to the pharmacy department and they stated they called me once and are waiting for me to give the “ok” to go with the new prescription. I told them I had called a week before to state to “go ahead with a different prescription”. I explained to them my frustration and their lack of communication. It’s been 23 days since my appointment and as of right now I still do NOT have my prescription....I don’t understand why it was hard for them to contact me and give me updates as to what is happening with my prescription. They email about up coming appointments and services. Why can’t they email me about my prescription?? Or a simple, please reach out to us when you can note.

I love Derick Dermatology! I’ve been to the offices in Crystal Lake, Elgin, Arlington Heights and Park Ridge. All the locations are beautiful, immaculately clean and the staff are all very professional, helpful and friendly. I have only had wonderful experiences here.I highly recommend this practice!!

Dr. Hensley and the rest of the staff at the Park Ridge location were friendly, genuine, and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Hensley is very thorough but I did not feel pressured to remove anything that was unnecessary which I appreciated in comparison to some clinics. The office is clean and modern. Thank you!

Received a call following my request to schedule an appointment was told I could not be seen for several months due to my insurance despite me stating I would be paying cash (self-pay) & not using my insurance. I made it clear I would be self-paying, paying out of pocket but since I was asked about insurance I informed them which insurance I had. I was told had I not mentioned my insurance I would be able to be seen sooner. 🤔Confused I stated prior to being asked about my insurance I am NOT using it. Overall terrible experience & after further research I am not surprised.

Dr. Jennifer Hensley was very personable and genuine. Her and the rest of the staff were lovely, and made me feel very welcome and comfortable! I felt like she actually wanted to help me, as opposed to feeling like “just another patient” who they couldn’t wait to get out the chair because they were busy. Would highly recommend!

I have had an ongoing skin issue for years and despite going to multiple dermatologist. I sawPA Erinn Seyler. It was a great experience. She had a great demeanor. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. After looking at the issue we discussed possible solutions, and Erinn made a recommendation. That was 2 weeks ago and the issue I went in for has nearly cleared up. I also had questions about other scars and moles. Erinn talked in depth about what can be done for this issues and the recovery time. Im very happy I saw Erinn and wouldnt want to go anywhere else for a skin issue in the future.

Everyone was always polite and knowledgeable. Visits were always on time with little to no waiting. I always saw Erinn and she was sincerely so patient, understanding, and listened to any of my concerns. Absolutely recommend!

Wonderful staff amd great customer service!

I would highly recommend finding another practice for any dermatology needs. Derek dermatology in my opinion barely passes the threshold of being a professional provider. Their doctors rush you through the entire visit dont ask any questions and immediately conclude to just writing out extremely strong prescriptions that in my case were very damaging to me and turns out not even necessary.Additionally the staff there has violated my HIPAA privacy twice in a row, first time I called I complained the issue to their privacy officer, second time I had to report them to DHHS as they were not taking my complaints in their easy to access locations.
