My son has been seen here twice. We had a good experience during visits with the hygienist and dental team but had difficulty working through the insurance claims after our visits. It took lots of back-and-forth to get our claims processed. If you use this practice, I’d recommend sorting out insurance before being seen.

We have been going to Magnolia since my son first had teeth and he is now 8. We moved to the burbs and still come back! My son’s face was accidentally hit in sports and we were concerned he chipped a tooth. They squeezed us in the next day on a busy Saturday and were so thorough, compassionate and attentive to my son. Luckily he had not chipped any teeth! Every single person that works in this office is kind and respectful. I’ve always had an amazing experience.

Magnolia has THE best staff, dental professionals and dentists. The receptionist and office manager is so enthusiastic and sweet with the kids. She makes them feel comfortable and gets them all set up with their favorite show or movie. The dental hygienists and dentists are all so good with the kids. Very patient and gifted at putting the little ones at ease. We have have sent 3 kids there and we’ve been so impressed. Highly rec!

Dr. Megan has has given my son exceptional care for many years. She exhibits kindness and patience while dealing with my son’s unique dental challenges. We are fortunate to have found Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Connell has put together an amazing team for her practice! Highly recommend!

We have had a great experience at Magnolia. We’ve taken our son there since just about a year old and they are very accommodating to his comfort ability level each visit and are so kind and gentle with him prepping him for all the different steps to cleaning your teeth and looking inside your mouth! We have been going to Dr. Melissa for 11 years! My kids enjoy going to the dentist and what kids enjoy going to the dentist? Enough said! She does a great job and kids feel comfortable going and like the whole staff.

The staff here is lovely! Very patient with my four year old and they set up the appointment to be a success! There is a TV above the chair for children to watch during their appointment that even has Disney+/Netflix. The staff talk to my daughter about what they are going to do and soothed her when she got nervous. Highly recommended!

Dr. Megan is so friendly and so good with little ones! She took time to explain all the gadgets and what was going to happen. My 3 year old is so shy, but he loved her!

Dr Megan and her team are so amazing! I love bringing my son here. They are so patient and welcoming. I know there has been some renovations happening but it looks fabulous so far. This was my childs first visit to the dentist. The dental hygienist Diamond and Dr. Megan knew exactly how to introduce the basics to my child to get them comfortable with the process. We had a very easy and great visit to the dentist. The only downside is there is limited parking on Wolcott (there are about 6 metered spots).

I came for my son”s appt, the dentist was 50 mins late, they had received my email a week prior on X-rays attachments. When I arrived, they said they did not receive the email, I found it on my phone and showed them, then two staff said they were new in the office, I walked out with my kids as I knew the dentist would not have been prepared as she did not get a chance to review the X-rays, it was a total waste of my precious time of total 2 hours

We alway have a good experience. My children are always comfortable coming to the dentist here and the dentists are great with my girls

This is my second time at Magnolia Dentistry. My experience has always been great. The staff is truly amazing with kids. My daughter has always had anxiety when it comes to visiting the dentist. Diamond went above and beyond. She was so patient, so sweet to my daughter (Bibi) She not only made my daughter feel comfortable but Assure her that there was nothing to be scared off. I cannot recall the other techs name but she was amazing as well to my son (Leo) since I wasn’t able to be with him due to being with my daughter since we did take longer due to her anxiety. Every one is truly amazing and patience. As a mother seeing your child scared feeling hopeless it helps when the staff is encouraging , patience and compassionate to our kids.Thanks!!!!

The office is unfinished and windows are mostly boarded up. There are wires sticking out of the walls and incomplete construction. Definitely not a space that is ready to be a medical office. They rush through the process and our child was in the chair for just a few minutes. They made a few administrativeilling errors including accidently sharing another patients private information. Real bad experience. After two visits we will absolutely not be going back. Review from April 2021.

I took my daughter to the Magnolia office in Dec 2020 based on the overwhelming good reviews online. However, 3 months later, after multiple calls with their insurance specialist, they claim they have technical difficulties communicating with my dental insurance provider. I don’t think we will ever come back to this office given their incompetence working with insurance companies.

Absolutely awesome with kids. Have so many ways to positively engage kids.

Super patient with my 3 year old son, cost is on the high end especially if you don’t have dental, but their office is very clean and with modern facilities. Staff and doctors very warming.

Due to social distancing when I arrived to my appointment I was told to text the office so that they know I was there. I received a text back stating to come in. When I opened the front door there was a mom with her child at the front desk paying for her service then another mom and her child walk in after me. I had to excuse myself and child into the cold so I can be 6ft away. There are no mats for social distancing. Then the girl at the front desk I believe her name was Vanessa hands me paperwork and a pen. I didn’t use the pen because it was the same one the mom used before she left. Good thing I brought my own. With the virus being so high right now not sure why the front counter wasn’t wiped down after each patient. Then she comes in the room not once but twice and told me a ridiculous amount that I had to pay before the doctor even came in. I didn’t know what the payment was for and she couldn’t give me an answer or a printout of the break down of service. So I told her I wasn’t going to pay unless I know what it was for and got the service done. The doctor understood and told her to leave. Worse experience I ever had at a dentist office.

First time brining my two kids (13 and 10) to Dr. Melissa and couldn’t be happier. Both kids were nervous going to a new dentist but upon entering and being greeted so kindly, they immediately relaxed. For Covid protocols, they were doing everything correct: waiting area spaced out appropriately, new clean pens, spot for dirty pens, hand sanitizer full and available. I did ask about online access to forms and sounds like that is in the works as they are updating their site! Staff were all in constant communication and there was no bottle-necking of patients and staff. Every member of the staff were friendly, kind and I guarantee they all had smiles on under their masks! Kids felt so at ease and loved the TV to watch while having their cleaning and they had nothing negative to say. Dr. Melissa was great! Extremely professional, clearly knows how to talk with the kids, but most importantly knows how to handle their teeth and dental hygiene!There office also has orthodontic services which make it ideal for one stop shop if your child needs it. As for parking, street parking on North and there is non-permit parking a block up on Wolcott. Was a tad challenging with the recent snow storm, but minus the snow, parking is ample. They are redecorating so not be surprised when you walk in. And frankly, I don’t care about the decor, I care about the dental care my kids receive and am extremely satisfied with Dr. Melissa and her staff!

We have been here since we moved back to Chicago in 2017. Have had zero issues until this past Wednesday, April 28, 2021. It was the dental hygienist (who said she took a break for a few years, but is back now) not the actual dentist. She was rude and had horrid bedside manner while talking to a child. We will continue here only if she is not his hygienist.

My son actually looks forward to going to the dentist! They do a great job of making him feel calm and comfortable.

Great dentist office, everyone was nice and helpful, the office is clean and safe. They have the right equipment to keep children entertain while they are working.

My 3 year old is pretty difficult to ease in the chair but Dr. Megan, Dr. Melissa, Dental Assistant Nina, Vanessa at the front desk are so welcoming and patient. The office is super clean and their Covid screening and protocols made me feel safe. I’m so glad we found Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry!

Great staff at Magnolia. They always explain the parts of the visit to my kids (4 and 2 years old). My daughter was very scared during her first visit, but Dr Davenport and the dental staff were so good at making her feel more comfortable. Ive been taking my 10 year old and 8 year old sons to Magnolia for almost 2 years now. Its easy to get appointments and they never leave you waiting like most dental offices. I love all the dentist and hygienist on staff as they treat their patients with personalized care. My past experience with other Pediatric dentist was that they lack the personality to treat children. Magnolia is heaven sent and they send text reminders too! Great place!

A great visit today! The doctor and staff are patient and caring. My son was so scared at first but he came out smiling and promised to be back soon. He can’t stop talking about his doctor. So very happy!

My son had a dental emergency during the Covid-19 health crisis and I couldn’t find a local dentist who was accessible to even consult with by phone. A friend recommended Magnolia. Dr. Connell made it extremely easy to communicate with her, and we determined he did need care. She was extremely organized regarding covid precautions. She and her assistant Vanessa were wonderful with my son - describing every step and reassuring him as the procedure went on. Dr. Connell also followed up later that night. It was an ideal experience in an otherwise unsettling time.

Weve always had great visits! Highly recommended for the kids because the staff from the front desk to the dental team, is friendly and the environment is warm and definitely kid friendly with their toys in the waiting room to keep them entertained!Location is near many restaurants and shops too, so if you need to schedule around lunchtime with the kids, plenty of options!

This place is wonderful! They are always running on time. All the stafff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Megan is great with my children. She sang to my 2 year old during his first visit and my 4 year old gets excited for his checkups. The office is clean and kid friendly. I feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful pediatric dental practice.

The kids love being able to watch TV during their visits.I also just learned that there is now an orthodontist working with the practice. Every single staff member is so nice and very knowledgeable about their job. The doctors are fantastic!! They really take the time to get to know your child and explain everything and take time to answer any and all questions. Highly recommended!!

I was looking for a dentist that specialized in kids, as I intended to find a permanent location/dentist to start taking my son to. I was a bit worried I would have a lot of trial & error before finding the one, but I found them at Magnolia! The staff is amazing ! Theyre pretty great at scheduling, sending text messages, e-mails, and or calls. The dentists (my son has seen a few there) are all great, and make the experience so simple & cool for kids that my son actually likes going. I also love that if theres any work that needs to be done, aside from routine, they will run the numbers for me (check what ins. covers) prior to scheduling. Its always great help! Thanks Magnolia !

We have been coming here since my kids were 2. We love the sensitive and careful treatment we receive every visit. The kids love being able to watch something on the screen while their teeth are examined and I love the comfortable waiting room. I know that they are teeth are in great hands at Magnolia!

Weve been going to see Dr. Connell and the other dentists at Magnolia Dentistry for 6 years. The care my kids have received has always been thorough and compassionate. Rarely do we wait to be seen by one of the hygenists or dentists and they always put the kids at ease and make them feel comfortable. We feel lucky to have found such a great dental practice close to home.

This is such an excellent dental practice for kids! My son is almost three and is naturally apprehensive of going to the dentist but both Dr. Davenport and Mariela, the hygienist, are so great about explaining everything step by step and even letting him hold and play with the instruments to feel more comfortable. The waiting room has tons of toys and dental chairs are cushy and set up with a (not obnoxious) TV screen overhead to watch cartoons for distraction. We changed dentists last year after some difficult visits. I liked the dentist but the idea that all kids cry and that its easier to do the exam because then they open their mouths did not sit right with me. My son cried a little at his visit at Magnolia but it was overall a very positive experience and obvious that the staff wants kids to get familiar with dental care and understand versus fear check ups. Big thumbs up!

Great and clean place! Staff is super nice and Dr. Keta is very nice with kids. I took my kid for some dental work and Dr. Keta made our visits so pleaseant. My child does not fear the dentist visits anymore! I really recommend this place!
