I visited Northside Dental for my teeth cleaning, and they said you need special deep cleaning, and we can treat that in 2 visits only. I asked, I dont know how much is covered in insurance. They said we are going to check for you and will tell you. They said you need to pay $450 for 2 visits and rest of amount will be covered by insurance company as they are ready to cover 50 % of the amount. But after 1 month I got a letter like I need to pay more, so I checked with Northside dental, and they said, your insurance company is covering only 15 %. Maybe they told me a lie on that day, like it was 50% as I was not showing that much interest to start teeth cleaning. I will suggest everyone please check the amount covered by insurance company by yourself only. Lesson learned.

These dentists and hygienists are wonderful. Their dedication to public health measures is unwavering. Their technology is outstanding for pain management and elimination. They are upfront about costs, and both friendly and respectful in conversation with me as a patient. I primarily work with and enjoy Dr. Agran, but my experience of the other dentists and hygienists has been equally good.

Went recently for a toothache consultation and cleaning. Front desk answered on first call, new patient registration was easy. During the actual appointment I felt comfortable and informed about next steps in alleviating the pain.

Excellent dentist with exceptional service. When I arrived for my appointment I learned that my previous dental office had charged my insurance for services that I didn’t have. The lady at the front desk called both my insurance and the previous dental office and sorted out the issue for me. The office is clean and modern, and everyone is friendly and professional.

The check-in process was super quick and I felt very safe and secure despite COVID. Doctors and staff had all the PPE and changed between interactions. I was comforted by the air purifiers throughout the practice as well. The whole office is super clean!Kudos to Marta who was gentle yet thorough during my cleaning. She kept me updated on what she was doing and checked in on me often, which I really appreciated.

I really like my dentist and the employees are very courteous and helpful. I bring my 9 year old son here too and the dentist always encourages him and helps him through any fears or worries. I highly recommend Northside Dental to everyone!

I’ve been coming here for years (almost a decade), not sure why I never got around to a review. But the team here is absolutely spectacular. The expansion of their office is so nice. Every staff member is super friendly and polite. All procedures are quick and painless- I’ve had a few fillings outside of normal cleanings. They play absolute jams. I moved to the loop and still take a 45min bus to see them. Highly recommend.

I really appreciated that one of the receptionists was knowledgeable about preferred pronouns. Also appreciated the quiet, tastefully decorated space -- no harsh fluorescent lights, and did not feel institutional. The hygienist and dentist I saw were competent, efficient and friendly. Overall, a very positive experience.. There were a few scheduling glitches when I set up my appointment but its well worth sticking with them through their front desk learning curve. This is a fantastic team.

Really enjoyed my experience with this office. I only went in for a second opinion on something and they treated me like a life long customer. The staff was amazing and friendly and the doctor was super nice and attentive to my concern, which I believe they identified and corrected. Been 6 years since I went to a dentist for a check up. I browsed all over the web and found Northside Dental. Seemed to be a nice place so I made an appointment.Im happy I made this decision because they are very kind and welcoming people. They explained everything theyre doing and why. The wait time was appropriate and they kept me informed about when I would go in.The facilities are clean, warm. It was up to date technology and, thankfully, no need for the annoying x-ray photo films, its all digital.You want to go to a place where everyone is nice to you and honest, go here. I highly recommend this place ;)

Just relocated to Chicago a few months ago and was looking for a new dentist. This office has a very friendly and professional staff. The cleaning was very good and thorough.. overall very pleased with the service.

Take my five star rating for what its worth as I am the older brother of Dr. Agran. That said, Im proud of the practice hes put together. He has a great team planning and executing your experience (see less-biased reviews for confirmation of that).The one thing Im convinced he does better than any other dentist is administering the Novocaine shot.I challenge you to find me a dentist with a softer touch.

Dr Agran is always very pleasant and I really love his work. The girls in the front are very nice as well. I used one dentist for the almost 20 years but he was not in the network and I found Dr Agran, who is in the network, and I will never use anybody else. I used to live half mile away and now Im over 10 miles but still go there, as well and my husband and now my 5 yr old. Over all Im very happy with Northside Dental!!!

I just visited Northside Dental for the first time, and I was really impressed! After a couple not-so-great visits to my regular dentist of several years, I decided to make a change. Northside was highly rated on Yelp, and its right down the street from me. I thought their new location looked pretty nice, so why not give them a try? There was a little bit of confusion when I needed to reschedule my appointment the week before, but the office manager Bernadette smoothed things out. My hygienist, Tracey, was the best Ive ever had - super friendly, very thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. She really made me feel comfortable, and she was sure to explain everything in detail as she did it. There was a little bit of a wait for Dr. Agran (I think he was tied up with another patient), so Dr. Jaamour offered to step in for my examination. Like everyone else on staff I met (Santa and Samantha), she welcomed me to the practice and made me feel right at home. On my way out, Bernadette came to introduce herself and be sure I had a good experience. Its that kind of service that goes a long way, especially if there have been any hiccups. I can tell that everyone there goes above and beyond, and that theres a culture of pride in good work and positive vibes. Im very excited to be a patient in their care!

I can never say enough great things about this dentist. Seriously, they are almost so great, you dont mind that youre actually at the dentist. I recently had to have some work done and I became pretty nervous during the procedure. Dr. Jaamour and her assistant Diane were so kind, patient and gracious with me, even though I felt pathetic, they treated me as though my nervousness were a real concern but that we could all work through it together. This is one of the few medical places I have ever received such wonderful care and actually NOT dreaded going. Front desk staff are also kind and patient, and they never seem too busy if you have requests or questions. IF you have not made them your dentist or checked them out, I HIGHLY, cannot stress this enough, HIGHLY, recommend you go in for a visit.

I had an issue and this place was recommended. I emailed online my situation and even though they were closed on Mondays I received a call. They did what they could do for me the following day. I am very impressed. When I arrived Tuesday I was treated as if I had been a client for years. Very impressive and recommend highly.

I really like the professional staff and the way my daughter and I are treated from the minute we get there, until we leave. It is always an easy experience and nothing to worry about when its time for our appointments. My daughters last dentist was nice but nothing compared to Dr. Agran. Highly recommend this place.

Tracy the dental hygienists was amazing! I am terrified of the dentist and it has been a long time since Ive seen one. Tracy melted away all my fears. She was extremely gentle and reassuring. Throughout the whole cleaning she explained exactly what she was doing, how it should feel, what it would sound like and reassured me that everything was normal. She never shamed me or scolded me like other dentists have. She was absolutely amazing.

I recently had some major work done. The BIG stuff. I at no point during surgery or recovery experienced any discomfort of any kind. None. Not any.Dr. Agran is our dentist. Period. PS - Great friendly staff as well.

Ive been going to Dr. Agran for a couple years, and every visit is as good as the first. His staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. Ive also visited the periodontist, Dr. Ho, and the other dentist, Dr. Jaamour. They each have a gentle touch and do amazing work.

I wish I could give more stars. Excellent experience both times I have been here, both with Dr. Agran and every member of the staff with whom Ive interacted. I had a great experience the first time I came here but then made the mistake of switching to a discount (see below) insurance provider at work and I had to switch to a different dentist in Chicago. At this other dentists office I had a bad service experience, was rushed through an exam in 5 min, and was diagnosed and quoted ~$1300 for 12 fillings and a crown that was supposedly necessary because one tooth had multiple cavities and would be best if it just had a new crown. I made the four appointments to do the work and almost went through with it, but I got a bad vibe from the overall experience so I went through the hassle of switching insurance providers at work and came back to Dr. Agrans office where I had been before. Not only were the dental hygienist and Dr. Agran ridiculously more considerate during the examination, taking time to explain everything to me—with no knowledge of the previous dentists exaggerated findings—Dr. Agran diagnosed only four shallow cavities (after spending triple the amount of time examining me) and no mention of any of them making a crown necessary!!! Additionally, their staff took the time to talk with me about about options for a low-cost prescription tooth paste to help with cavity-prone teeth like I have. So, I saved a lot of money and a lot of needless dental work on my teeth! Apparently it is a common practice for less than ethical dentists (New York Times article Nov 28, 2011) to aggressively diagnose and charge for potential cavities that may become cavities down the road under the guise of prevention—but many never do become cavities. What a great experience to find an honest and decent dental practice that I can trust!!
