Dr. Moe and Ericka were amazing. I came in for an emergency appt and realized I needed more work done than I originally thought. Dr. Moe had other patients but still managed to fit me in to take care of my additional needs. Excellent customer service!

This review is long overdue. My second visit reminded me to write this review. Dr. Mo and his team are so patient and informative! I have never had this type of dental treatment, everywhere else I simply felt like a number and rushed out the door. Erica and Dr. Mo was so nice and warm my first visit I shed a tear! It was refreshing to have professionals care and want to help you improve! Second visit didn’t disappoint with Laith and Dr. Mo. Very clear and concise information. I definitely recommend and have to a couple of friend and family. I truly thank them for making this experience smooth.

Dr. Moe, Lexus and Mariana are amazing! They are all very professional and taking really good care of me. I had a cracked crown which they removed comfortably. Dr. Moe applied a temporary crown comfortably as well, and I am very happy with my services. I look forward to continuing our dental relationship!

Im usually really afraid of the dentist, but upon my arrival Dr. Moe made me feel super comfortable. he answered all the questions i had, he took the time to make sure i understood the treatment i was going to need. and was super attentive! the assistants were welcoming and the person who did my cleaning made me feel good as new! im super impressed; and will definitely be referring my family and friends!

Shouldve took it as a sign to leave when an ex client asked to speak to a manager with about cuts she received in her mouth.I was supposed to be seen by Dr Mo and ended up being seen by Dr Joe. Which was kinda weird to me. He poke at my teeth and said I had no cavities.The nurse was a little too aggressive with the mouth pick. They moved so fast with the procedure that my lip and gums got cut. Im currently rinsing my mouth with peroxide in hopes I dont develop an infection.Proceed with caution. Im going to another dentist for a second opinion.

Horrible experience. The dental hygienist did not perform a proper cleaning on my children. She also seemed very incompetent at her ability to operate the dental chair and other equipment. The cleanings for my children were rushed (approx 2 minutes per child) and I had to request a bib to be placed on my three year old to keep from messing up her clothes. After the cleanings, the dentist who goes by the name of Mo or Muhammed didnt so much as offer a take home bag to my children let alone a treatment plan for the cavity and broken tooth he discovered on my sons x-rays. His advice was to naturally let my sons teeth fall out and to return in 6 months. I highly doubt we will be back and I will not be referring.

I was recently seen in the hyde Park dental clinic for an composite filling with Dr.Mo when I was told and sechdule with Dr.Joe prior my appointment Dr.Mo was impetuoushe was impatient disregarding of my uncomfortabilty of being in discomfort/ pain he displayed lack of empathy with me he began to anesthetize me without any topical gel. And I had to stop him raising my left hand..his response was oh and then the assistant began to place the topical gel in the wrong area and I ask here to hand it to me so I can place the gel.He began coming in fast. not giving anytime for the lidocaine to set in. I can see the long needle coming towards my face Dr.Mo left me with more pain Ive had before he work on my teeth until this day! by drilling rough.the only instruments he use was a basic set up and a ball burnisher. He took more tooth strucsure away their were some ssteps he didnt do to salvage my teeth! and he didnt glide floss between my interproximal/ teeth to make sure the composite didnt lock my contact/ teeth as of now I cannot floss between my teeth,without painhis uncertified assistant was distracted by the tv and wasnt keeping up with him with the hvac and at times I had to get the saliva injecter/HVAC to remove the access in my mouth to prevent from choking.I have a up coming appointments please do not schedule me with either of them.. Only Dr.Joe and a certified Dental Assistant the lack of professionalism and training was displayed with me. And JENA/office manager/ supervisor this was email to you the first of many emails also calls and Im disappointed you havent contacted me as I ask.You have my numberSoyini Strong

Update: 4 weeks after the filling, the filled teeth are still so painful that I cannot fall asleep. Extremely regret that I have chosen this dental clinics. Dr. Mo is obviously unprofessional and incompetent. I would call what I have experienced in universal dental clinics as a medical incident.Horrible experience. Dr. Mo Hammond did fillings for my teeth even though I made an appointment with Dr. Joe. Without prior notice, I was told that Dr. Joe was on vacation and Dr. Mo will do the fillings for me after I have laid down on the chair. I had no choice but let Dr. Mo do the fillings. However, Dr. Mo Hammond seemed very unproficient. Horribly, I found that he cut my tongue but he didnt let me know. I found it out after the anaesthesia went away. Even worse, my teeth hurt badly for a week after the filling. My teeth were still too sensitive to use even three weeks after the filling. I start to worry whether my teeth will be back to the normal state. Will never visit again.

I have had a horrible experience with this dental clinic. I have given them chance after chance. The front desk staff is Incompetent and has repeatedly scheduled me incorrect. I have taken off work more than once only to arrive and I was scheduled wrong. This has happened to me at least 4+ times. I no long will be going to this clinic and I plan on contacting the Better business Bureau for other inappropriate things that have taken place here!!

THE BEST DENTIST IN TOWN!! I scheduled an appointment for extractions with Dr. Nader based on his great reputation and the multiple great comments Ive heard about this office and the Dr.s services. Parking was provided, and the receptionist was very welcoming and took care of me immediately with no wait. I was seated in a clean room, and the doctor came in within a very short time to introduce himself and explain the procedure to me. The whole extraction procedure of two impacted wisdom teeth, was completed in 20 minutes. I was amazed at Dr. Naders speed and precision. Nothing hurt during the removal and after the anesthesia wore off I had no residual pain. Overall, i healed amazingly and I was so thankful to Dr. Nader for making me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure as I am a BIG baby when it comes to anything dental related. Would definitely recommend this doctor to many, he sure knows what hes doing.

I would like to preference this review by stating, Im not the biggest fan of the sound of drills or the dentist office. However, Dr. Townsend and the staff will handle you with care. It is well-known that the burden of fixing teeth and procedures can be very expensive, but youre in luck, they accept Medicaid. Although, I would suggest if you need extensive work done to also purchase a supplemental dental insurance.My experience in this office has been nothing but warm, comfortable and welcoming. I would encourage anyone that hasnt been to the dentist for a while or that isnt sure how much work they need to have done and or is a little afraid to visit this location. They are gentle and very patient. So far I have not been in any pain. I was given a prescription and I only needed to take one pill for soreness a couple hours later. I have had multiple procedures done and I am a happy patient.

Dr. Nader is AWESOME! He was incredibly helpful, thorough, and informative. Its obvious Dr. Naders main priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and get the best dental care possible. He took all the time needed to ensure I was comfortable and that I understood the status of my teeth. His office is equipped with videos so that, as a patient, I can learn about relevant teeth conditions and how to best mitigate these conditions while receiving dental care. Highly recommend.

I had an appointment at 12:30 P.M., and they called me in exactly at my scheduled time.When the dentist arrived, he was kind enough to ask if I would like to finish my phone call before he began the anesthesia.The service was very quick, and my dentist made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process.I recommend this place to anyone seeking a new dental clinic.

Went in today not knowing what to expect since I hadnt been to the dentist in a while but Im glad I came here!Dr. Nader is very personable and thorough about his work. Each time I go to this office, the experience is cringe worthy.The 1st time I went the doctor kept pressuring me to do a deep cleaning. I accepted to get him to stop.The second time I came, I show up on time and am told my appointment is 4 hours later.I know exactly what time I scheduled. Took a 1/2 day from work but had to call in and cancel the whole day.When I did show up in the afternoon I waited 25 min in the lobby, another 18 in a chair.The doctor who numb me hurt me and the hygienist was haphazard.Never going back.

What an amazing dentist! Dr. Nader and his staff are very friendly and passionate about their work. They greeted me the second I walked in, I never really liked dentists, but hes the best Ive encountered. Hes really gentle and light with his hands and he always makes me feel comfortable. He is also very knowledgeable about what he is doing. The office was really professional and clean I highly recommend it, this is by far the best dental office Ive been to!!

Dr. Nader is a beautiful in bedside manner as he is physically. He attended to my needs very courteously in a very efficient and time effective way. He also explained which treatments were necessary and which werent. Jennifer assisted him with my services she was great and very personable too. In fact the entire staff was very professional. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN for future dental care needs.

I went in for a wisdom tooth extraction last week, that apparently was supposed to happen before my braces got put last June (1st problem). When I got to the appointment to tell them I had two cavities in my remaining wisdom teeth, I was told they didn’t exist and they couldn’t see them. It took for the actual dentist to come check for him to agree, and scanned to see if he could remove them. When the appointment time came (April 14) the virus was in full swing. But I got the bare minimum care possible, the dentist (Joe) didnt even telll me his name upon entering, just told me to open up as they stick me with the local anesthetic. Once finished, he left the room. Didn’t say “ be back in 10” or anything, he just left. The assistant at least told me how to turn on the suction device if I needed to spit.The roots of my teeth are very deep, and I could tell as soon as he started to go to work he was trying to be as quick as possible. He tried just clamping on and turning until I said I was feeling pressure on my other side, then he started to use another method. After, I wasn’t given any stitches, nor prescribed an antibiotic. I asked him prior to leaving and he assured me I only had one prescription (pain pills) then told me to do a salt water rinse the next day along with a sheet of paper.I wasn’t told that they would only be open once a week, so I had to call a different one of their branches, to have a different dentist say over the phone “ they should’ve prescribed you a antibiotic so thats alarming in itself” and for me to come see him so he can take a look at my healing process and do so himself. I shouldn’t have to be getting the right treatment from a different dentist a week later. I understand the virus is about, but that does not mean neglect to your patient.

Nice atmosphere, staff is professional and welcoming, and they were quick. Love the fact theyll remind you of your appointment by text, but one thing I wish is that they have a water fountain to have a drink of water for the patients. I recommend this place to anyone.

I could not be more impressed. I had an incredibly smooth experience with the Universal Dental team. From front desk to dental assistant to dentist. They were friendly, informative, and very professional.Schedule your next dental appointment with Dr. Nader. Dr. Nader answered all my questions and concerns. He created a thorough treatment plan for my dental needs; listing services from higher importance to least. Dr. Nader explained each service and why It was imperative I follow through with the treatment.Dr. Nader extracted a wisdom tooth for me. Afraid of the inevitable pain, I braced myself(a little too much). When he completed the extraction, he began to explain the after care steps. I was confused because I didnt feel ANYTHING. I had to ask him several times, if he was done. I could not believe how painless and quick that was. He is an extraction genie!!!!!!I will definitely be returning for the rest of my treatment.

Female hygienist wasn’t friendly and slightly unprofessional. Her technique was rough and I could tell she was rushing through my cleaning. She did not introduce herself or explain what she was doing. The dentist seemed tired and lacked the professionalism I’d expect from a doctor. Would not recommend.

This was an overall great experience. Parking is available and theres no to little wait time. Dr. Nader spent a lot of time explaining everything in the treatment plan after examination. he also did amazing fillings on my anterior teeth. the color and the shape look so natural.

Hyde Park universal dental is an excellent dental care from a well trained staff with up to date equipment in a very clean and well run office. Dr. Nader and staff are extremely nice, they provide an extremely high standard of dental treatment and care. I had to have a new bridge, which is quite a big procedure, my experience was excellent and went smoothly. I would like to express my total satisfaction to Dr. Nader and clinical staff, I am truly appreciative.

I recently had two of my upper molars removed and have to admit I had no pain during the procedure! I was told I would feel pressure, but didnt feel nothing. The thought of extraction just sounds terrifying, but thanks to Dr. Nader it was a smooth and fast procedure. Highly recommend him!

A+I visited universal dental last week because I had really bad tooth pain, turns out I needed some work done related to my wisdom teeth. My dentist was Dr. Nader, and Im so grateful it was. I had two wisdom teeth extracted, and my recovery time was twice as fast tas when I had the previous two extracted. The service from the staff was also really nice. Highly recommend

It was easy to book an appointment but the dentist was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. further more, i basically paid to be seen and he didnt do anything deserving of the fee that they took from me.

Dr. Nadar is great. I got my wisdom teeth extracted and the process was quick and painless. I like that he and the staff make you feel very comfortable before and during the process.

My experience in this clinic was better than I anticipated! I went in for a deep cleaning and was beyond nervous. I had heard from relatives and friends that the procedure was going to be long and painful, but with Dr. Nader it was otherwise! He explained throughly what the process was and assured that I was okay, while he continued the process. He made me feel very comfortable and of course free of pain. I came here last week for a regular cleaning. The dentist doesnt use the typical dental pick to scrape the teeth. She uses some sort of ultrasonic pick that left my gums bleeding and throbbing for hours after my appointment. I was told that I had a small cavity while I was there, and while I was apprehensive about returning to have it filled I came back a week later anyways. I wish I would have listened to my gut because as I settled into the dental chair, the dentist said, raise your hand if it starts to hurt. I wont be using anesthesia. Pump the brakes lady. First of all, ask me if I want to be numbed. Sure, the cavity was very small, but you dont know my pain tolerance. And after what I went through last week I highly doubt she cares much about the level of pain I am in. Now that the filling is in, I can feel my bite being very uneven and I am scheduling an appointment elsewhere to make sure everything is okay. I have no faith in this dentist, or her abilities. I wish I could tell you the dentists name, but she never introduced herself...so there is also that.

Not the best choice for a child. Took my 7yr old son for an abscess tooth. Dr Nader extracted it. But referred us out for a spacer, and did not fix a filling that fell out. They wouldnt let us keep my sons tooth, an unusual policy. Only the 2nd tooth my son had ever lost. Dr Naders bedside manner was practical, but not patient or understanding.

Didnt get to receive any dental treatment here. Made appointments for annual cleanings, waited over an hour to have an X-ray taken, to then be told that there wasnt time for a cleaning and in fact a multi session cleaning requiring anesthesia was recommended.Recommendations seemed financially motivated, wait time was too long, office was not very clean, dentist moved through brusquely like he was a doctor in a hospital after we waited for so long. The staff and particularly receptionist were very nice.

I have to go here because its the only dental clinic that will take my insurance in the Chicago area, apparently. Ive gone twice and both times have been bad--painful and uncomfortable unlike any other dental cleaning Ive had in my life (and Ive gone to the dentist twice a year for my whole life and seen several different dentists before). The first time here at least was quicker and resulted in a competent cleaning in spite of the pain to my jaw and gums. But the second time was especially terrible (and I had a different dentist this time for some reason). First of all, I waited 30 minutes (past scheduled time) in the waiting room and then 15 minutes in the exam room before the exam started. The assistant had to take my X-rays multiple times because she couldnt get the machine to work right. When the cleaning finally started, it was, as I said, more painful than any in my life, with sharp pain on the interior nerves of my teeth and careless jabs to my gums. To top it off, the incompetent dentist still left a lot of tartar/plaque on my lower teeth and left the room with hardly a word spoken. The final polishing by the assistant was haphazard. I cant stand to go here anymore so either I have to keep searching in hopes someone will take my insurance or Ill just have to go without dental care until I move out of this city.

Worst experience I have ever had. I had called ahead and had them clarify to make sure what I needed done in my situation could be taken care of same day as my appointment. I get to my appointment 15 min early as a new patient to fill out paper work. My appointment was at 4 I wasnt taken back into a room until 5. The gal who took me back didnt talk to me at all or even introduce herself, she just sat me in the chair and walked away.The doctor came in 15 min later and wasnt even sure what I was having be done that day, he thought I came in for a cleaning which was way off of what I came in to be seen for. I explained my situation and why I was there and he flat out said they were unable to help me and he wasnt sure why I was there. I asked to talk to the manager and she wasnt any more helpful. I wasted almost two hours there with no answers and no help being pointed in the right direction.The place itself was very dirty, staff wasnt nice and felt very unprofessional as front desk receptionist was texting on her phone the entire time I was waiting to be seen.

This review reflects the staff working for Universal Dental: I did not have a chance to interact with the doctors, therefore I cant rate them. However, if I were the manager of the Universal dental, I would have fired all the staff sitting at the front desk (Hyde Park & South Loop location). They do not know how to do they work: they do not know how to contact the insurance company for instance MetLife, so my child can get the care she needs from the dentist. I felt that I was treated as someone who has no dental insurance. I would not refer anyone to this place.

My husband had an appt yesterday. We were 3 MINUTES late. I called and was professional and they said no problem. After driving two hours in traffic we finally arrived. We were there before they closed. They locked the door on us. We knocked for several minutes waiting outside in the cold while they continued to walk past us. Im sure the Dr might be good but his front staff are mean,rude and unprofessional. Their are tons of great dentists in the areaId take my business elsewhere. Tooth fairy and Manus dental are way more nicer than these snobs

I did not have a appointment but i was in the waiting room with my cousin who had a dentist appointment. after what i saw today i would not even consider coming here. not sure what was going on but part of their ceiling was missing some sort of liquid was leaking from the ceiling that smelled bad the wait time was super long. y’all just asking for a lawsuit with those conditions not sure if that is how the office looks everyday but that was un professional.

I got my bottom wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Nader and honestly there’s no better Dr who can make your experience quick and painless than with him!! Both of my botton teeth were out in less than 30 mins! He was gentle when it came to numbing my mouth and while he was removing them. After he was done he made sure I was okay and explained step by step my post care instructions!! His assistant Jennifer did an awesome job making sure it wasn’t a messy procedure. (I’ve had horrible experiences at other offices where water was splashed everywhere, etc.) A week later I returned to his office for a follow up and everything is healing perfect, no infections, no discomfort. Thank you sooo much Dr.Nader and his awesome team!! 👍

Before my bad experience with getting my fillings at this dentist, my daughter had a consultation for braces. During her visit I was told that it wouldnt take no more than 15mins because they only needed to take photos. It took more than 30mins because the dental assistant didnt seem to know how to work the camera. She had to keep taking the photos over and over, going back and forth to the other room asking questions about the camera. After taking all those pictures, she told us theyll give me a call and send me something in the mail after approval. After 2 months of no call no mail, I decided to call them myself. I called them over a week and couldnt get through. I couldnt leave a voicemail because it was full. I went up there to see what was going on and I was told the photos was not clear and they had to schedule another appointment to get more photos, which was 42 days later. I was so mad because no one called me to let me know I had to make another appointment due to them not taking the pictures right. I didnt take the appointment and took her elsewhere. Me and my girls will not be back

After years of avoiding to go see a Dentist I had an Emergency occur. I chipped my front tooth very bad when I was young and every since I have had trouble with the it, So I swore off any dental treatment. The Lumineer that Ive had for years fell off last night, I was such in a panic but speaking with UDC in Hyde Park change that!Dr. Nader and the staff were amazing!!! They took me in this morning understanding it was very much an emergency. They are so friendly and caring reassuring that everything will be fine making me as comfortable as possible. Giving me an immediate temp. so that I would not be insecure about my appearance while getting my treatment plan in motion.Thank you so much UDC for all your help!!

If you have Medicaid dont bother going here. After waiting 45mins for the dentist he strolled in looked at my x Ray said I have no cavities need a deep cleaning and refuse to give me a general cleaning. Left the room sent the nurse in and she gives me a bill telling me how much a deep cleaning would be. He never ever check my teeth. Just came to an conclusion from looking at xrays

I havent been to the dentist in years because i just hated my dentist, as a kid i was always terrified. I was really worried about getting my wisdom teeth extracted because i didnt know if thats what i needed. My overall thought of the clinic was that, it was clean,welcoming, and the process of taking me back to a room was quick. The assistant then took me to the room and kept assuring me that ill be fine. When Dr. Nader came in the room he approached me with a very charismatic personality which was very soothing. He then took his time to look over my x-rays and saw the issues of my wisdom teeth right away. Without hesitating he proposed the treatment that i very much needed. When he first told me I needed to be numb for the procedure i went into panic because of the horror stories that we all hear. He quickly noticed my fear of needles and kept assuring me that everything was going to be okay. Once i was numb he began the procedure and his hands felt extremely light that to my surprise i didnt notice that both of my wisdom teeth were removed within five minutes. I will definitely be recommending him to my family and all my friends. I never felt the need to write a review for a doctor but hes one of a kind!

I went here while I was 4months pregnant . To get my fillings done but I couldnt because I was pregnant anyway. While hey were cleaning my teeth the dentist and his assistant where arguing over my mouth while he was working . The assistant dropped all kinds of liquids n my mouth on accident they called me for a week straight to make sure nothing went wrong . They were just as scared as I was . Horrible experience

Very poor service they never answer the phone and I went to them in August I still havent gotten any feedback !
