Dr. Lundgren is fantastic and so is the rest of the staff. I never had a dentist who do “follow up” calls, so I was very impressed. Not only that, but he’s skillful, patient, and kind. If you are looking for a dentist and if you want to switch; this is your guy. You’ll thank me later :)

First time visiting Downtown Dental Loop as a new patient. I was very impressed, everyone was very helpful, kind and professional. Dr Borga is all about preserving your teeth. she offers various treatment options, the doctor and her assistant took the time to explain the treatment needed and the break down of the cost for the services in layman terms which was very helpful.I would definitely recommend this Dental Office.

My experience at Downtown Dental was fantastic! The front desk staff were friendly & very efficient. I didn’t have to wait long in the waiting room before being brought back to see the dentist. Dr. Lundgren was great & helped me understand all of my options! He did a great job!

A bit disappointed. I had a regular cleaning appointment and everything seemed to go fine at the office.I did think the exam room layout was a bit odd - the chair I was in couldnt have been more than 5ft from the door that separated my exam room from the lobby area. It just felt really weird and too open.The dental hygienist and doctor seemed great. No concerns.My disappointment is coming from the billing side of the office. When checking out, I submitted payment and was told that I was good to go. Later, they contact me and say my payment didnt go through (not sure how they didnt notice that before I left). Whatever, no big deal it was $25. I got incredibly busy at work that week and forgot to call them to pay the $25. I had a follow up appointment the following week so worse case, I could just pay it when I went back in.I then received another request for payment of like ~$200 or something. That seemed odd but I assumed it was something to do with insurance. Then, I received another request for payment of ~$90. I called the office to request a itemized bill so that I could understand what I actually owed vs. what insurance covered. I called them and confirmed my email address (even spelled it out) but never received any follow up.I ended up cancelling my follow up appointment because I wanted the billing for my previous appointment sorted out before going in for another appointment. Its a bit ridiculous how much back and forth its taken. Like, Im actively trying to give you money for my outstanding bill -- I just want to see a formal, itemized bill before paying -- and Im not sure why it took so long.Ive been to one another doctors office in Chicago that made me feel skeptical of how they were billing -- and this experience reminded me of that office so I wont be coming back. In this case, I think it was likely disorganization vs. anything more serious but regardless, its unacceptable. I need to ensure the billing department of where Im going is organized and bit more on top of it.

When I couldnt reach my regular practice, I reached out to DD for what turned out to be an emergency crown. I called @ 8am and was in the chair @ 9am. I love my regular practice and have informed standards when it comes to dental care. DD met and exceeded my standards. The office is clean, the staff is super-friendly, and my hygienist and dentist were great at explaining the issue to me with pictures and xrays, explaining the cost, and checking in with me regularly about any pain or discomfort. I was able to get a permanent crown on the spot. If I ever leave my current practice, I would choose DD with no hesitation.

Im so happy with the service that I got from Downtown Dental - Loop. Dr. Carson is great on his job plus the sweetest person Ive ever met :) Everything was quick, painless and he explained all the details and made me so comfortable.I would say the same things for his Assistance Agapita who helped me whenever I needed it and made me feel so comfortable. She also took care of my night guard and Im so happy with that service too.Great place, nice and professional people, quick and painless service. Everyone at the loop office is extremely kind and took the time to explain everything to me. I’m in between insurance and they have a great cleaning and x-ray special but also took the time to break down the totals of my next dental visit. Again I can not stress enough how kind and comfortable everyone made me feel during my appointment! I’ll definitely be back and will recommend my loved ones here! Thanks again!

I have been with this practice for decades but since the new owners bought it it feels like Macdentist. There is always a different dentist, so after a few years I still have no idea who MY dentist is, the service is so impersonal that I do not feel my dental health is if any importance.

I am posting this for a family member.I had an appointment in March with Downtown Dental for routine cleaning. I was there, sitting on the chair, and then the office manager, Stephanie, told me that they require an X-ray to clean my teeth. I had a full mouth X-ray done 2 years ago by Downtown Dental, and I am not having dental problems, and I was not informed prior to my visit about their new policy. When I declined the X-ray, they refused to clean my teeth. I took half a day off work for this visit. The next day their office sent me an email that I was terminated from Downtown Dental. There was not even an apology. They wasted my time, refused service, and they were not transparent about the new policy. I suggest that they make the no X-ray, no cleaning policy explicit and communicate to their patients prior to their visit. It feels as if they are doing this to get paid for the X-ray, regardless of patients need or preference. I dont feel safe with this practice.

This dentist office is professional and technologically advanced. Dentistry isn’t super sexy but Downtown Dental does a really great job. The views of the city from most of the chairs are nice. The technology they use to monitor your oral health is great. The staff is nice and helpful. After I moved out of downtown I almost left this practice over the lack of parking but the prospect of finding a comparable dentist was slim. These guys are a premier choice in dentistry.

Ive been a patient for many years and the staff has always been great.

I decided to go here after my favorite dentist left the previous clinic. So I contacted Downtown Dental and asked if they were in my network. I was told they were by the receptionist and so I made an appointment for January. Went and found the whole appointment typical. Overall good experience. The bad part came when they sent me a cleaning bill because turns out they are out of network. I called and found out from the receptionist that about two weeks ago (beginning of February) they were told they were no longer within my network. So my January appointment had out of pocket costs because their receptionist were not updated on this information beforehand. So they provided me with incorrect information. It is very frustrating to be left with a bill that wouldnt have happened if they had been able to provide the correct information to begin with. Really decreases confidence in the clinic as a whole.

I love Downtown Dental! I go to Dr.Borga and she is so nice!! Her assistant Hailey was super nice as well. I went in for my annual cleaning and got some cavity fillings. They do an amazing job at making my teeth look so nice. You do have to pay A $10 Co-vid fee but I was fine with it because they do such a great job each time. I highly RECOMMEND Downtown Dental.

I’ve been a patient of Downtown Dental for at least 10 years, after a co-worker spoke of them glowingly, and I’ve had a LOT of dental work done there. Cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, implants, you name it, I’ve had it done there. And every time, I’ve been treated politely and with the utmost respect. Everyone there is professional and helpful, always willing to work with me, including when I’m having insurance issues. I’ve seen several dentists and endodontists there and every time the result is the same: great service and great care. I just had my semi-annual cleaning today with Michael and he was great. I have zero complaints about Downtown Dental and I definitely recommend them. Several of my co-workers are now their patients thanks to me.

I chipped a tooth and did not have a dentist in Chicago as I loved my dentist, where I used to live, and decided to keep using them. But to fly home just to get a chipped tooth fixed seemed a bit excessive, especially with COVID. I went and started looking for one and saw the excellent ratings from this dentists office. I have to say I was beyond impressed at how friendly and professional everyone was and how quickly I could get an appointment. I also was impressed to see how the rates were very reasonable and so far seems cheaper than my old dentist in a different state. Like all the other reviews, I highly recommend this dentists office, and I plan to use them for all my other needs.

My visit was fast and easy. The staff is so friendly and did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable when calling to make an appointment. They also checked in frequently in case I had any questions or concerns for my appointment and with COVID-19 precautions. I didnt even wait 2 minutes before my name was called and lasted less than 30 minutes for a teeth cleaning.

Best dental office I’ve been to across the many cities I have lived in. Special shout out to Dr. Carson, his chair side demeanor and easy to understand explanations... Hardly anyone likes going to the dentist, let alone hearing they need a crown (or worse, a root canal), but he provides a special kind of support and lessens the anxiety I would typically get on a visit to any other office. Highly recommend the office overall, and make an appt with him for sure!

Downtown Dental is adjusting to Covid-19 like all businesses. I felt like they’ve made reasonable and diligent accommodations to protect the health of their staff and of me as a patient. I also saw a different Hygienist today because of a personnel (maternity) situation. Katie did a great job and made me feel comfortable.The whole experience was very smooth. It’s a good dental office that makes things easy for their patients. When I have had some filling work done in the past, it was easy. I appreciate that they do things very well at this office.

For my teeth cleaning, Michael gave me great tips for keeping my teeth healthy and clean. He did a superb job in cleaning my teeth. He was very thorough and explained every step as he went along. Very professional and friendly. :)I had some fillings done earlier in the year with Dr Tosiou and they have been holding up great! The experience with even getting them done was wonderful! No discomfort at all.This dental office does an excellent job addressing any of the fears you might have with visiting the dentist. No need to fear at Downtown Dental. Everyone was very professional and punctual. After filling out my information, I was in that dentist chair in no less than 5 minutes. Jacqueline and Stephanie were very helpful.

They sent me bills even if they told me before the appointment that the insurance will cover all the treatment cost. Also, they charged my credit $10 for coved without telling me there will be any fees when I made the appointment. Finally their treatments are very pricey.

I have been coming to this place for over 6 years. In those 6 years I guess I cancelled an appointment less then 48 hours in advance in 2019 and I unfortunately had to cancel todays appointment due to parking situation as I didnt feel comfortable taking an Uber. I did however ask to reschedule in November They told me they will charge a $50 feel because I cancelled an appointment back in 2019 and now! 2019?? I asked how long they keep this record for and I was advised there is no timeline so I guess when life comes up they will hold it against you and not work with you. This is probably the most unethical procedure I have encountered with any dentist. They can certainly charge their $50 fee, but I will never be coming back to this place again.

My overall experience with Downtown Dental Loop, has been extremely positive. Initially contacted them last summer regarding a failed crown from another provider. They replaced the crown quickly and efficiently and at a competitive price.They also recommended I consider replacing another crown on an upper molar which I had been considering anyway. I agreed and they replaced that crown quickly and it also fits perfectly.Now, having experienced a couple of routine cleaning and check up visits, I have been very pleased and enthusiastically recommend they to those seeking a friendly, effective, dental services provider.

The actually cleaning was good. But when I get there I’m told they’re not using the power tools and won’t be polishing/brushing them for me. Then I get to the check out and they ask me for 10 dollars. When I ask why my insurance isn’t covering it they say it’s a corona virus thing. Huh? All of these things should have been told to me upfront while making my appointment. I’m not sure if the actual fee is even legal.

I have the X-Rays and written diagnosis from two other dentists to show it. For now, I would like Downtown Dental to send me a corrected bill. They sent me a text with a link to a bill that does not show correct payments made by me or my insurance.Im sure at this point this is a legal issue. Lets see... Why would a company not show my or my insurance payments and tell me to pay a higher balance than what I owe??? Why, after sending them details on my and my insurance payments wouldnt they correct the invoice??? Why would a company KEEP sending me a bill for something I do not owe???Ive reached out to them for a month in writing. Im giving them until tomorrow before I reach out to the state Attorney Generals office as a first step.

KatherineDowntown dentalI’ve had many pleasant experiences here. Today is Absolutely the worst cleaning I’ve ever had in my life. I had Katherine. She practically poked all the gum. I felt like the goal wasn’t cleaning. It was to poke all teeth out. It’s a horrifying experience, like a horror movie. We didn’t spend much time cleaning. Had to adjust this and that. Right after the first second I had to stop her right away, but she said I had build up, I do have braces so I suffered. But later on found out it wasn’t the case. At the end of cleaning she didn’t offer a flossing. After I asked her she said she will do it after the doctors visit, again I had to ask her. She said oh, I forgot. People do this twice a year and you forgot?! She did not have the floss go through braces and again pulled really hard against my gum and didn’t floss left to right. Then I know it wasn’t about my build up, giving rough cleaning is her style. After three hours my gums are still sour and I taste blood still. Please re train her. Stopping having other people suffer this. Absolutely terrifying.

They very welcoming when I came in. My doctor was very informative about my dental work and it was painless. I’m glad I stopped procrastinating and came in. I would give 10 stars if it was possible.

What a convenient location to hop over during the work day! The office came highly recommended by several colleagues as well as other offices in the same building at 25 E Washington. They got me in within two days of calling, greeted me at the counter as a first time visit, the dental asst was so kind, and all of those ‘dentist nerves’ we all get before an appointment were quickly put to rest by Dr. Carson. I was so impressed with everything for my first-time there and they are now my new dentist for sure! Thank you everyone!

Barb is outstandingly efficient, compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, and in tune with my pain level/other needs. Dr. P is also super nice. I love that he is positive and that he does not force treatment plans on me. Also, the receptionists are extremely prompt and professional. Last but not least, the whole team is awesomely punctual.The only suggestion I have is that Downtown Dental should include their staff on the website because they, as well, are foundational to the success of the business.

This was my first time going to Downtown Dental for a cleaning and Steph and Dr. Borga were great! I was a little nervous due to the pandemic but felt completely safe. They took my temperature when I arrived and everyone in the office was wearing a mask and socially distant. The office was also very clean. So glad I finally found a trusty dentist in the city.

Boy. So saddened to post this review. I was a patient of this clinic for approx 10+ years. It was amazing. Dr. Patel and Monicah were my dental dream team. While Monicah remains amazing, she no longer sees patients and now teaches a dental hygienist certification course, via Downtown Dental. You won’t find Dr. Patel in the office anymore, going back to well before covid. This because he’s enjoying the well earned fruits of his labor. This office has expanded several times to the point they have all but overtaken the 19th floor. Business, she’s good. I used to have a relationship with the receptionists, and everyone in the office knew me. Now, you’re just another transaction. Get them in, and get them out. If that’s your jam, you will be very happy here. The dentists are fine and you will likely be happy with your dental work. Otherwise, take into consideration that the human level has been removed from this experience. (See, e.g., the post by a long term client referencing a $50 charge for rescheduling an appointment from last year. Unfortunately, not surprising.)

Life Savers!! Of all the rotten luck to have a dental emergency during the pandemic I’m so thankful Downtown Dental is my Dentist. They were lightening fast at calling me back, prescribing medicine, responding to texts, and finding me an appointment time.I was in excruciating pain and turns out I need a root canal and they were also able to get me in the same day with a specialist.I’m more than impressed and grateful.They were very clean and safe onsite and took my temperature before starting the examine.

Friendly people, but it seems they have too many patients which impacts quality of care. Thus I will not be returning:Cancelled my appointment without notice.Also takes months to schedule a cleaning.Doctors only examine your teeth every other visit.

Ive had a great experience so far at Downtown Dental. Hunter is an awesome hygienist - she made me feel totally comfortable and performed an excellent cleaning, even on my pesky bottom retainer. Dr Palsis did my fillings and also did an excellent job. I havent had fillings since I was younger so I was understandably a little nervous but he was super efficient and made me feel comfortable as well. Additionally - Great location right in the loop by multiple L stops.

I recently moved to Chicago and I needed to find a new dentist. Plus, I was overdue for a cleaning. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Everyone is so friendly and you can fill out the new patient forms ahead of your appointment! My first appointment was great and I met with Dr. Borga who walked me through the whole process. Appts with her can be hard to come by (she books up months in advance), however she is extremely knowledge and caring and makes each visit a pleasure. Kind of a joke. Ive never had a receptionist be so rude to me. I called in to book my first appointment, and after telling the receptionist my information she put me on hold for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, she came back, asked me for my information again (as if I hadnt already told her?), then told me the phone connection was bad, and then suddenly put me on hold again. This is just flagrant disrespect for the time of your customers. This office seems popular, but that is no excuse.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. Great staff and great doctors. I now bring my husband and 3 teenagers.
