Chiropractic treatment is not just walking in and getting cracked in 15 minutes.Dr. Huffman actually has a discussion with you to find out exactly what you need to feel better. And she gives you homework - exercises to help you get through each day. Mine consisted of stretches and balances, which I love.She is very kind and also hilariously funny. Her personality makes me look forward to my weekly appointments.

Dr. Huffman is a LIFESAVER! I decided to turn to chiropractic care late last year for neck pain and some other aches and pains that accumulate after years of working at a desk in front of a computer.Dr. Huffman was very thorough in explaining her treatment plan for my symptoms, and she made me feel very comfortable. This was important to me because this was my first experience with chiropractic treatment.Her quality of care is amazing and I started noticing a difference after the first visit. She also taught me stretches I could do at home, which helped a lot to keep the pain away. Dr. Huffman is great! She is an extremely kind and compassionate doctor. She has been helping me with my back pain for a while. Our entire family has loved ChiroMedica for over 9 years. We used to live within walking distance of the office, but now drive in from Naperville to continue monthly visits. Ive never felt rushed and she makes sure to give ideas for stretching and other methods of stress relief. She is great with kids and adults with a wide variety of ailments. She works hard to get to the root of a problem, but realistic on what may or may not be necessary to correct a condition. She also is highly regarded by her medical peers and gives great recommendations and referrals for issues that she is unable to help with.

I was always hesitant to see a chiropractor after some horror stories. But after getting a doctor recommendation to Dr Huffman I now see the value of regular adjustments. I saw a marked improvement in my mobility and in one instance I had my neck stuck at an angle and after an adjustment I was able to move it with greater range of motion.My coworker, my friend, her husband and even her sister are now regular clients and I would recommend her to everyone I could.

Hands down, the best chiro Ive been to, and Im picky.Ive been to about 5 offices over the years and never quite felt totally attended to. Not only does Dr. Huffman truly care and take the time to listen to patients entire symptom lists, she actually internalizes it all and you can see her thinking about how it all matters and fits together. So many times, Ive felt like chiropractors brush off certain things you say or sort of treat you with a one size fits all approach. This will NEVER be the case here. And if youre scared or nervous about certain types of adjustments, shes flexible and WILL tailor a treatment plan that can help you.I have had the same issues for 3 years and NEVER had the results I get with Dr Huffman. Ive been on treatment plans at other offices and gone twice per week for months with little changes and I feel better and like more was accomplished in ONE session at Chiromedica than those entire treatment plans.As if thats not enough, I just really value her caring nature. You can tell this is a labor of love for her and shes not in it for the money...which is not how Ive felt in other offices. Its really hard to find doctors like her...REALLY.I cant say enough good things. Just go to her if youre in pain and stop thinking about it. You will thank me later. :PBonus: theres a parking spot

I have always been sceptical of the benefits of Chiropactic medicine, until I found Dr Huffman. I travel a lot for business, which means lots of airplanes and Uber rides. Oh my aching back. Thats why when Im in Chicago, I find time to see Dr Huffman. Its not only the great adjustments that she makes but her overall knowledge and attention to detail that make this a must stop for me. Great job!

Im writing this review to alert the community that I was injured under the care of Mary Huffman in early September 2018. I have tried to navigate this horrible situation as best I can, which has left me limping, in pain and seeking treatment from other therapists, with no solutions offered by Dr Huffman, besides her wishing me well.I was referred to Dr Huffman by a close friend. I had been seeing Dr Huffman for at least 6 months in 2018. During this time, we built a positive relationship, one in which I thought there was care and trust. I was seeing Dr Huffman for the treatment of my RIGHT side issues that were from a right knee meniscal tear and a right labral hip tear. My LEFT side was perfectly fine. Absolutely NO issues until Dr Huffman said she was working on my left side for balance, in early Sept 2018. Dr Huffman also worked on my back and neck to help with any issues resulting from the right side injuries.During a session, she tried to adjust my hips. She had me lay flat on the table with one leg vertical, then turned in, horizontal across my body. While using her body weight, she pressed down on my leg, into my hip, while my knee was in this horizontal position. I let her know I didnt want her to do this in case it put too much pressure on my knee. Fast forward a few months later, we were in deep conversation and she did this same thing to my left knee. As this was in motion, I did not have a chance to stop her and say Waittt!! before she pressed down on top of my left leg. Again I was seeing Dr Huffman for treatment of my RIGHT side. This compression/overextension, resulted in an injury, to my LEFT side -- my GOOD side!! This has resulted in a LEFT KNEE AND LEFT HIP INJURIES.I let Dr Huffman know that things were not the same since she worked on my left side. She didnt seem to think this could be possible. This lack of acknowledgement, has been the root of what has led to my frustrations and has dissolved a once trusted relationship. Furthermore, her lack of compassion or even apologizing, is surprising, given the fact that we had a positive relationship. That said, apologizing would mean she is admitting to this, which clearly she will not do in order to protect her practice -- I get it. With respect to Dr Huffman, I have tried to get her to understand that each human body is different. She out of all people, should understand and acknowledge this; yet she refuses to believe that anything like this compression could have caused an injury(s). While Im sure this was not her intention, an injury(s) did indeed happen. From the perspective of a patient who is now left to suffer, and from an ethical standpoint, she should acknowledge this.We have gone back and forth via email and phone calls, with no resolve or offer of help from Dr Huffman, despite her injuring me. Im absolutely disillusioned and frustrated by this low level of care and lack of professionalism. I urge everyone to skip a visit with Dr Huffman or risk injury and being disregarded because she will not admit to her mistake.
