The shop is well designed and they have a very assembly line style of operation for getting customers in and out. I’m only giving this 2 stars because after 30 minutes and exuberant tax, I can’t open my product. The top just spins. I have to bring this back which means I have to pay for another Uber just to get it replaced.

The store was super cute, staff was very nice. after checking in with ID at the front I did notice the printout price for my purchase was $5 more than website total even with my discount code applied. I mentioned it to the clerk and they took care of it immediately. so overall good experience and Good service. If the product turns out good, I’d shop here again😁

Had a great experience, starting with Jim the security guard. Jim was helpful and professional, but more importantly he was very nice. Jim is the kind of person you should take care of because he is actively making the customers experience much more pleasurable.

A lovely joint! I had a bit of tech trouble with the online ordering, so I they let me inside to help straighten it out. They helped teally quickly and were very friendly and knowledgeable and kind. I loved my experience!

This is one of the best dispensaries in Chicago. This place is safe and sells good products! None of that dirt other dispensary’s try to pass off! Check out process is seamless.

First time visiting a dispensary and the staff was really friendly. The prices are INSANE along with the tax but that isn’t their fault. I didn’t realize I couldn’t go up to counter only one person can even though I was already told but forgot they just told me nicely again and it was no issue. It’s a fun visit for tourists especially those coming from states that aren’t legalized but I wouldn’t come to IL to buy due to the crazy prices.

Staff was not that knowledgeable about the products they sell. The prices were exorbitant. It may be the normal though for Chicago. Paid $98 after taxes for a 1/2g cartridge and battery. In most other states that same exact (well better quality) product would be $30 or under including taxes. Make that money Chicago!!!

I believe his name was Hosa he was not just a security guard he was doing lots of customer service.He was interactive with everyone that came in.He was super hopefully to me and everyone that I seen come in the door.He made my visit very easy , which made my visit a very fast transaction .Even with this being the Friday Saturday that Dead and Company where playing Wrigley field.Product purchased was good but on the high end of price. I do recommend Sunnyside Dispensary and will be back again. I did a online order while I was waiting in line it was probably less than 3 mintues from placing the order to me walking out the door.

The employees were nice and helpful but I was kind of upset when I tried to consume the preroll and it was burning way too quickly on top of not pulling because it was way to tight. You know how flower can go quickly while burning. Otherwise cake breath was amazing and definitely didn’t make me feel anxious

Prices are a bit expensive, but worth it. I still plan on going. They have security, and they helped me figure out how to pay for a online order. Overall good experience!

This was my first time visiting Sunnyside River north location and I must say I’m really impressed with the store. The lady at the check in (Mikaya) was really sweet and welcomed me in a really nice way. After going to the counter to pick my order up , the cashier at the counter Ernest was really helpful too and he also recommended me some great flowers. It’s always a good dispensary when the employees know their stuff. Overall I had a great experience ! Must visit dispensary in Chicago!

As a novice this place is bomb. Helpful staff, good selection, decent price points. Go in the middle of the week though, Fridays after 12 the line is ridiculous... out the door, down the block Six Flags line.

I had a great experience on my first visit a few weeks ago. It was clean, well organized, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Thomas was the employee who helped us choose our items and he was so kind and knowledgeable.

Not from the area and no rental so didnt have many other choices so this place did the job. The cannabis shops in Seattle are what I can compare to and this fell short. Very overpriced. Also couldnt shop around, rather, had to shop through a tablet a worker was holding. The line took forever to get through. You also couldnt bring anyone, even with ID, unless they were going to buy as well. So leave my wife outside all alone just for her to get escorted of the block by security for loitering. 2 stars are still given for good product selection and friendly staff. Probably wont visit again though.

I was definitely sunny side up up up after going here. I visited memorial day weekend and purchased gummy‘s. They taste good they did what they were supposed to do. I still have some left they work very very well. Will definitely stop at the shop my next visit.

Super overpriced. There are other dispensaries within the downtown Chicago area such as Ascend that carry some of the same exact products for much cheaper. For the exact same items, I ended up paying $20 more at Sunnyside. Please do your research before coming as a tourist and don’t get ripped off like I did!

Excellent service, my first time visiting was a good introduction to the Sunnyside business. The security guard outside, took extra time and had great patience in helping me register and order, TY, very appreciative. I have a disability, and this visit was my first, excellent service all around!

Sunnyside had a very simple online order process. I placed my order at home then waited a bit to head down to the store. They hold your order for 2 hours so it’s gives me plenty of time. The North River employees were fantastic. Great, fast, smooth services. Shoutout to **Paul M.** for helping me out.

The inside staff is rude, but the outside staff where you place your order with was very knowledgeable about products. Security staff was very helpful as well. The whole process is unorganized compared to other recreational dispensaries Ive visited in other states.

Good herb. Friendly staff. But need to do something about those prices!!!!!! Paid a $110 for an eighth and a pre roll. Not good compared to alot of the other states recreational prices. But I give it 4 stars for the quality herb, and great staff.

Sunnyside Cannabis Dispensary at River North is my absolute favorite because of the whole experience there but my favorite part is the security team! The experience with the security team starts before you even enter the building! Those fine men truly provide that sense of security that’s increasingly hard to find these days. Some may find it uncomfortable that these men play by the rules and won’t allow you to manipulate them into breaking them but I for one, find it refreshing! To be honest, I think they need raises because they go above and beyond “security”. They often double as customer service representatives or guest concierge. Security Officer Mark helped me to place a quick online order right at the front door! Thank you Sunnyside!

Rude staff. Ive never been anywhere they wouldnt let my partner and I go in together. Made me stand outside in the rain, even after explaining that we wouldnt be trading cash or anything inside.

Good place. Location is super convenient, very nice inside. Service was great. I believe her name was Jeanette. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, super nice when she checked my receipt. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

I like the aesthetic, but for someone who hasn’t been there they didn’t explain anything to us and did not take time to explain the products when we had questions. It seemed like they really didn’t want us there or to go purchase anything other than what they recommended. I wasn’t even allowed to look at the products and it didn’t say anywhere that we had to buy online but they strongly suggest that.

Very pricey but also amazigly efficient and great one on one experience with quality products.

Came in yesterday for an order. My phone was dying while placing my order so I kind of just panicked and picked out a few things and was able to browse the website a bit after I placed my order and found something I wanted but didnt put in my original order and the staff was able to accommodate and help me out. Now the cashier did originally tell me no because it was getting pretty close to closing time which is totally understandable (and a pretty decent line behind me) but who I believe may have been the manager on duty overheard our conversation and came over right away and asked what it was I wanted to add to my order! If I could leave no stars I would. While things seem to run smoothly, this company treats their employees and new hires like peasants in the corporate world because HR it’s too busy to do their job and they lack communication skills. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere, because companies like this should not thrive if they can’t thrive on a basic level.

Expensive AF.You cant smell anything, very uptight. In Colorado or Michigan they show you samples of what you are getting. Here they look at you like if you come from other planet if you ask to do so. Definitely not coming back.

Sunnyside’s prices are higher then dispensaries in the area, Moca is around the corner, same inventory a bit cheaper and you earn reward points. Sunnyside is like Target, they have 100 check out stations but only two are functioning so the lines are unnecessarily long.

Least favorable dispensary Ive ever been to. Complicated and uptight process just to buy a few expensive half gram pre-rolls (3 - 0.5 gram pre-rolls for $40). $30/gram is ridiculous.

Been here twice both around 8:30-8:45. First time was amazing the people were so nice and helpful. Second time, same timing as the first, was told by the front desk maybe you should not have come so late. I wanted to simply switch my order, which the front desk initially said wasnt a problem when I entered. The person at the register gave me excuses on why it wasnt possible to switch and how they were strict.

Sunnyside is terrible.Weak selection, bad store concept, over priced... its corporate cannabis through and through.No passion or sole at all goes into the products and consumer experience. 1 star because Google doesn’t allow zero stars.

My friends and I decided to stop by during our trip to Chicago, and we were not disappointed. Marijuana is still illegal in Texas so we relished in the opportunity to be able to consume recreationally.My salesperson was very informed about the strains, I purchased 2 hybrids, 1 sativa and 1 indica strains. She did an excellent job with recommendations. I also got 250mg worth of gummies. They have a daily limit in Chicago, where you can only purchase 250mg worth of edibles per day. I hated this rule because I didn’t know and I was leaving the next day. That would be the only thing I didn’t like. But that’s not the venues fault. The prices were also slightly higher than dispensaries I’ve visited in Cali & Colorado.It was clean with modern decor and a seamless process. Would definitely return!

My first time going to a cannabis shop, and it was an ok experience learning about the products. Busy place and seem to be an excellent business venture!

Very busy... over an hour wait everyday but high quality.

I placed an order at 8:15, stood in line at 8:35 to pick up my order and was told at 9:05 that no one can enter because it was past 9. If that is the policy, please create a cut off time to manage consumer expectations so that we don’t end up waiting in line for over 30 min and be told that our order placed at 8:15 has no validity to pick past 9 due to the line. MOCA down the street is SO much better and I will return to them. I wanted to give this place a shot but me along with a handful of other people were disappointed and their customer service is sloppy.

Umm I would have loved to leave 5 stars but unfortunately the staff at sunny side river north seems to suffer from extreme pressure, anxiety and or stress nearing closing times. The line does get long but customer service should always be priority. I asked a female security guard a simple question and she shushed me and put her finger over her mouth and then gave me a condescending answer as if my question was stupid. Then once I got to the counter asked the same question to the cashier and she didn’t understand what I was asking. So I tried to elaborate and this seemed to trigger an attitude due to her current stressful shift, which ended with me being yelled at and forced out of line in a weird polite way. It’s like you are not a customer here but a child who they direct into and out of line. Oh and my question was why is the walk in order line moving faster than the pre-order line. The pre-order line was just as long as the walk in line but they had only one cashier working pre-orders which made pre-ordering pointless near closing time.

Great place, inviting security guards, and quick service made it really easy. Tho its order only atm, it took me only 5 mins to sigh up online and place an order which they immediately had ready. You can ask staff or security any questions and they are happy to help you. Like I said great place.

There was no wait when I was here I got exactly what I wanted and I got a 10% discount. I go to the other Sunny side dispensary on Clark Street up north and I think this one is a little bit better.

Got up at 6 am sunday and placed my order online. It said it was ready for pick up but the store wasnt open untill 9 am. It also said I had 2 hrs to pick it up. I figured 2 hrs from opening. I walked around Millenium Park all morning until around 10 am I decided to make the short drive to the dispensary. I showed my email confirming my order and I.D. I was given a recipt and told to walk down 2 blocks then take a right. I did. Upon arriving again I.D. and checked in. Quickly greeted and asked for name, then given I.d. with product and asked to pay. Quick and easy. The staff is friendly and the product is great. Im speaking for a Live Resin Cart of Durban Posion. For the price it should have been full but it wasnt. The product itself though is great.

Unbelievable wait times. Even if you order online or walk-in, you’re shoved in the same hour long line. The catcher is they didn’t even have the item that I had ordered from online! Save yourself some time and try a different dispensary. There are a couple in River North.

Really cool and very nice. first time here our of state, you have to place an order online which I did, but for those that didnt know they were really nice handing out sheets with a qr code to place your order. Ive read some reviews about having to get a ticket and go to another sketchy location. None of that here just place your order online and go. In and out in 7 mins will be back!

Worst experience ever! Security sat and watched me in line for a pick up order way before 9:50 which was their cut off for letting people in. Security refused. At 9:50 aggressively asked me to leave. While the other security guard threatened to kick my total non aggressive dog. Note that I had my significant other with me to hold our dog while I go inside and pick up my order. Five thumbs down
