Detox is medically assisted, food is decent. The 28 day program is based on the 12 steps. This place saved my life! The nurses are top notch!

I only gave one star so that I can write this review. A person by the name of Sharon should not be working @ LSSI. She discouraged a client, my sons mother making matters worse to the point were she left detox. I just wonder how many people she has sent back to the street or worse to their death. When a person goes & seeks help they want to make a change in life for the better & it starts with detox. So you need to hire a person who has compassion & not have a person like Sharon whos there only for a paycheck.

Not sure what to make of this place. But good chance if they accept Medicaid its going to be bottom-of-the-barrel treatment. Someone that almost died in the hospital during DTs alcohol detox was transferred here and 5 months later, I asked So what part of the 12-step program are you on now? They had NO response!! An alcohol addiction rehab center that doesnt even have their patients on the 12-step program?? Called to ask about the program, person on other end said abruptly it was confidential. Huh???

How awful. I called, recommended through will county and the lady doing the intake couldnt hear me. She said they had no air and refused to turn her fan off. She was rude and abrasive not helpful AT ALL. When I said arent you there to help me? Not be angry? She hung up!!!! Hung up on someone needing help. Unbelievable. I never wish bad on someone but I hope she gets fired because clearly shes in the wrong line of work. How awful.

I had the unfortunate experience of going to the halfway house for women about 12 years ago, Thank God I took charge of my own lifeBecause they threw me out on the streets. Crack and heroin sold next door. God help anyone who ends up here

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They need better quality of service, and employees that know what they are doing, they need more professionalism

Today was my 3rd time calling this place and I could barely get past Hello. Heres some advice...You people are suppose to be the professionals. When you get phone calls asking questions about your facility try to eliminate attitude, sounding condescending, unknowlegable answers and RUDENESS. I understand you deal with patients and family members all day every day. However, you are the first point of contact that could save someones life. Theres no reason people get treated better at STARBUCKS.

This place was terrible! I am leaving this long and detailed review to help others from making the mistake of leaving their family member here. After years, we finally got my brother to accept that he had a drinking problem. It wasn’t easy. We found this facility and convinced him to give this a try for the first time. First, when we called, the person over the phone rushed through the call and was the least bit compassionate. We said we had several questions and she said we could ask whatever questions we had when we dropped him off. We get to the facility and they make you enter through the alley. There’s a doorbell you have to ring and someone comes down. As we are waiting in this small enclosed entryway, someone from the kitchen staff is going in and out dumping oil from the kitchen to the alley. It looked so unsanitary. Then, a staff member comes down and says only my brother is allowed up. We told her we had several questions about the process here and she said “well I’m leaving for the day, I just came down to get him”. She told us to ring the doorbell again to speak to the person on the intercom. The lady answered and asked what questions we had and you could only speak to them through the intercom. You can’t even go up to check out the lobby facility and you can’t drop off your loved one in a good, caring, positive manner. They make you feel like you are just dropping off a stray dog. We left and didn’t have the heart to leave him in that dump. It’s no wonder it’s hard for people to seek help with places like this that are so unsupportive. Please don’t waste your time on this facility. It’s so discouraging, unhelpful and unprofessional.

Ive been there and its what you make of it. You cant depend on others for your recovery. The necessary medical attention is available at lssi to give you what u need to get better. The rest is up to you.

I absolutely would not recommend this facility to anyone. If you have a partner, friend, or loved one do not have them check into this place. The staff is disrespectful and from what I experience can care less about what you have to say or how you feel. There is apparently no way of reaching them to find out how they are doing. My girlfriend was checked into this facility and I had no way of reaching her to see how she was doing. For all I know she could be doped up on a bunch of meds that is unnecessary forcing her to take something that she does not want to. I was told that I had to call this pay phone number to reach a client whereas any clients could answer the phone. I tried calling for 10 minutes and no one answered the phone. I was then told all I could do was keep calling that same number yet no one answered. Also I never knew a rehab/detox center did not allow visitors especially if they were family. This place is a joke.

I have to be honest with you I dont understand why.the patients are there with the wrong attitude going in to Kenmore. Thanks for opening my eyes. I have seen that they Care but only to a point.. the smoking breaks are way drugs are brought in . I have seen it. Thats why people dont make it and have been even worse. They detox and get drugs right there and almost die on the spot. Nuts

Called on Friday to Lutheran Social Services and reviewed the needs for a friend we are trying to get help for benzo addiction. I was told to call back with the person and speak to the Intake Nurse. The person he/we spoke to was the rudest, most unprofessional and un empathetic person I have ever spoken to. Not only was it clear she could care less, she tried telling me their website had changed and who ever I spoke to on Friday wasn’t from the exact facility and I did not have the correct info. It was a complete waste of time and I wouldn’t take our friend in need there even if it were free after they way we were treated. I truly feel sorry for families and others trying to seek help for loved ones if this is how they are treated.

My son went here for treatment and I’m impressed of how well they manage their facility, with a very pleasant staff and great counselors. Would very likely recommend.

They seem to be run by a bunch of idiots. First of all their intake coordinators are rude, unknowledgeable and petty. They argued with my partner over the use of his medication. They claimed that a general seizure medication isnt used for seizures and they demanded to know what else he took, when in fact what hes on is used just for that purpose. They also insisted that he has issues with other drugs when he does not have a polysubstance abuse diagnosis.Furthermore they dont seem to have any basic understand of other pharmacology.I would highly advise against this place as their staff is dangerous, rude, and unprofessional. Also for the record - Lamotrigine, Brand name: Lamictal - AnticonvulsantIt can treat seizures and bipolar disorder.Just Googling Lamictal shows what type of drug it is. How ignorant can their staff be?
