This place is literally the best. They go out of their way to make sure you feel safe and comfortable no matter what youre there for. I have had numerous really wonderful experiences here. It makes such a difference to have a health center that really cares for and supports you.

I have been with the center for over 4 years and I dont think Ive ever been taken care of as well as these beautiful people have been caring for me and my health related needs! Theyre all compassionate, caring, attentive and non-judgmental, which are some of the most important qualities one can have, working in healthcare! Im so beyond grateful for their support, during very difficult times Ive been going through, lately..my health started to act out, recently, and I neded to address it, right away..they took me in immediately ,listened to all my concerns and provided me with the best care possible, given my circumstances not having insurance and being laid off my full time job,due to the pandemic ! Today, I called them again, with a concern thats been bugging me for several months now and they didnt even hesitate to deliver, once again -1000%. I couldnt come in due to caring for my daughter whos just had serious surgery, the other day, so they did what they had to do over the phone and now Im at peace! I have to be strong and healthy for my child, right now, more than ever! THANK YOU for putting up with my craziness haha (my brain is scrambled, I havent slept in 2 days 🤪) and thank you for your compassionate souls! I definitely recommend this beautiful, authentically chic and friendly place, for any of your needs, especially concerning gyno problems and situations. Especially, if you dont have insurance! They put you on a payment plan, if youre unable to pay right away ,and their prices are always discounted! Professional healthcare workers will take a great care of all of your needs, dont hesitate to go see them!

Pros: Best place for Healthcare period. I have been coming here off and on since 2008 because of change of insurances. Currently they dont accept my insurance and I still would rather pay sliding scale than go any where else. Theyre thoughtful and take their time and dont weigh me.Cons: still dont have an online portal and everything is on paper like 1997 its strange. Also disappointed that there are barely any poc on staff right now. When Im there I see no Black folks and the possibly Latinx person there is white. They could definitely do better on that. they dont take many insurances I wish they were paneled with more.

Fantastic people, really like an awesome group of Rns, workers and doctors striving to make a difference in the Healthcare of women in chicago. They even proactively will help with insurance pricing, differential pricing based upon how much you can afford. Lovely people. Lgbtq+ friendly and accepting.

Do not go here. I arrived 10 minutes late because I couldn’t get in. Was in the cold for 10 minutes and then turned away, after driving all the way from the opposite side of town. Won’t ever be coming back. Waste of time and money, truthfully. No consideration for patients. 1 star.

I had the best experience with Chicago Womens Health Center. As a young immigrant doing an internship in Chicago two years ago I was welcomed in with open arms, availed of fantastic counselling sessions and had my general womens healthcare taken care of. I am moving back to Chicago in September and I am excited to have them as my primary health center. I am so appreciative of the work that these people are doing. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff were open-minded, non-judgmental and professional. I would 100% recommend to a friend. :) MORE OF THIS!!

Been going here for over 7 years. My original Doctor named Louise really made me feel at home. She cared enough to call me when Id went a while without a visit. She made me feel comfortable and loved which is more than I can say for any doctors office ever. She passed away and since Ive missed her entirely but the other staff are helpful and meet you right where you are in terms of care.

It’s a women’s health clinic and they don’t take walk-ins. I work full time and this “clinic” is really close to me and I never have any time to go to the doctor because I can’t afford to take off work. I ran in this place as soon as they opened and told them I needed to get my birth control prescription renewed and they told me I had to make an appointment. When I told the woman my situation and that I couldn’t wait for an appointment, she didn’t care and just repeated that they don’t take walk-ins. This place is very insensitive and they try to compensate by putting loud and obnoxious posters on the wall; they actually don’t care at all about “women’s health”.

CWHC is, by far one of the best clinics in the city for women of all kinds. The staff are caring, knowledgeable people who genuinely want the best for their clients. They offer a wide array of services from standard womens care to acupuncture and counseling services. If youre looking for a new PCP; this is one place you should try.

I came here looking for affirming health care. And the staff were nice, however when I asked if the tests they wanted were covered by insurance I was assured it would be. But then they sent my stuff to a 3rd party Lab that was NOT in network and they even had the lab bill for reading the results which is odd and stupid. So then I was told not to pay the bills because they were going to handle it since it was their mistake. NOW 4 months and multiple calls later, I am getting collections notices!I dont feel safe going back for my follow ups and this is still not resolved. The harrassment from the lab is having a negative Impact and if they had been honest about the way they bill/have an out of network 3rd party bill every thing I wouldnt have let them do the stupid tests. I dont even know what to do at this point.Be careful here if they want to do labs or tests.

The providers and staff are incredibly kind and knowledgable. Regardless or your ability to pay, they will ensure you receive care. Theyre progressive and offer trans health services as well as a gender-affirming atmosphere. They also made me feel heard and comfortable every step of my exams, especially my first gyno exam which I was very nervous about. I go to CHWC for gyno, primary care, and mental healthcare. They are bar none the best group of humans. They really care.

This is the greatest place and Im sad places like this dont exist everywhere! Soo respectful of gender id and pronouns, my nurse was also Nonbinary and it was super comforting. The whole place looks more like a cozy apartment than a medical office (I mean that in a good way) and everyone there was so nice and reassuring. 10/10 would recommend to any applicable person
