They take the time to get to know our pup when she is there. Everyone is so friendly and professional. Everyone you talk to truly cares about dogs. My dog is attached to my hip but is happy to leave me anytime we pull up to Kennelwood! Haha! She loves them and they love her! Couldn’t be happier! It’s not the cheapest care but they make sure it’s worth EVERY PENNY. Love Kennelwood and my pup can’t wait to go back :)

They were concerned that she was scared and removed her from the group of other dogs to relieve her fear. This place is much more than just a kennel and I am impressed to see the dogs in training lounging on their cots as we walked in. They are trained so well to stay. Impressive. Kennelwood is a premier, top-shelf facility, with very competitive prices. They are the very definition of Customer Service. Ive used Kennelwood with two dogs. Ive used their training, boarding, day camp, and grooming. They helped me in a jam, where three other facilities turned me down. Everyone is courteous and professional. They gave me numerous updates, and didnt mind me calling several times to check in. During Day Camp, I got regular updates and pictures! I know how important your pet is to your family, and you just cant go wrong using Kennelwood!

First of all, we are seniors who needed lots of help with our puppy, Annie.Brandi is the trainer at Kennelwood and our experience has been great.She is patient when we have to slow her down (ha), and when we ask a bunch of questions....maybe even repeating ourselves🤔.Our pup, Annie, hopped from the car enthusiastically when we dropped her off. So Annie agrees with us that Kennelwood Pet Resort is a great place to take your pets for training, grooming and all that they offer.

Our puppy has spent the last 6 weeks going to the Chesterfield Kennelwood (M-F). During that time she trains with Brandi, plays with her buddies and squeezes in a nap or two. Every day we drop her off, she is so excited to be there. Her training has been excellent. We are quite impressed with how well shes responded and mastered the commands. Brandi and the rest of the Kennelwood staff are positive and loving towards our pup. Its been a win-win for all of us!

We took our 3 month old puppy to Kennelwood for training with Brandi over a 6 week period. I was shocked to see him responding to the commands at such a young age. The staff is so amazing and I can tell how much they all love the dogs that they work with! I went to another facility for 7 years and was never treated as I am when I arrive at Kennelwood. They are friendly and show my puppy affection as soon as they come get him from my car for drop off. He loves it here so we will be extending our number of training sessions and also making this our new facility for boarding and grooming as well.

We adopted Sarge, a 9 month old but 55 pound puppy, and within 48 hours it was clear that training was a necessity- he was playful, but big, and he was uncontrollable around the house and the kids.I spoke with Brandi at Kennelwood on a Monday and within 24 hours Sarge had started a training program. That responsiveness and availability was critical for us because we wanted to get things going ASAP. Brandi was fantastic throughout our training program- she was very communicative about Sarges progress and what we needed to continue to work on with him at home. Due to the COVID surge at the time, she was flexible with us on the virtual at home lessons, offering us multiple options to best meet our needs and get Sarge the direction he needed.At the end of the program, Sarge is still our big lovable puppy, but he now knows his commands, is in control around the kids, and respects our belongings. He comes when called, he goes to his designated spot while were eating, he stays when he needs to stay, and most of all, I have peace of mind when I cant see him that hes not jumping or chewing on something.We are very appreciative of Brandi and the entire staff at Kennelwood and would definitely recommend them. We have taken Sarge back for multiple day camps and training refresher sessions since.

The Chesterfield location always does a great job on our Collie and Sheltie. Jenny, the manager, is wonderful! We drive from Kirkwood to this location because it’s consistently good.

Our trainer, Brandi, at the Chesterfield location was wonderful! We saw real and quick improvements in our puppy’s behavior. I am so thankful to have taken this class- no more leash pulling!

They were also chosen by my relocation company to transport my dog home from the airport when we landed in MO in early 2020. After that experience, I decided to keep bringing in my dog for grooming. They groom our cats, its not easy, cats dont like water usually. But they are getting better with each groom, i do recommend them. Good curbside service, not cheap, but they are lovely people who keep me updated on appts etc..

Our newest family member, Kenzie, started Puppy School at Kennelwood this week and we couldnt be more thrilled. Everyone who works at Kennelwood is cheerful, knows our pets name, and clearly has a passion for animals. Our only regret is that we didnt bring our previous pets to Kennelwood for this type of love and training!

We took our dog there at who was 1 year and 4 months for training. I don’t know what they did to her but she has never been the same... if only she could talk and tell me what happened. She won’t even climb into the car, and shakes uncontrollably in fear if we she to go somewhere,. She actually has become aggressive to strangers which she never displayed before. The facility is filthy. Our dog also acquired kennel cough which she passed along to our other two healthy dogs. She also got a fungal infection causing redness/raw areas in the webbing of her paws. While they did refund us the other three weeks of our package, it cost well beyond that to treat our dogs and get them to a stat of health. Cannot recommend. Oh they kept our dog ramp which I’m sure is ruined by now.

The grooming is great. The sheddex is awesome. This is the only place my dog let’s touch his nails. I wish they would get online booking and just do a dog grooming app like pizza....just show what stage my dog is in and then have it ding when the dog is done! The desk is a little inconsistent with calling and the hand sometimes doesn’t talk to the foot there. But....overall it’s a great place!

I have been taking my very high energy Australian Shepherd to Kennelwood since he was a puppy and he absolutely loves it there. He is so excited to get out of the car when I pull up. The staff is so friendly and helpful. You can tell they all love working with animals. Fletcher gets groomed there once a month and comes home smelling great with his nails filed! I recommend Kennelwood to everyone I talk to.

The crew at Kennelwood’s Chesterfield location are great. Despite safety precautions with drop off and pick up, they make my boxer and I feel special. The trainers are responsive, caring and with positive reinforcement, day camp counselors make sure he has fun politely, and the groomers get him all cleaned up.

Kennelwood has groomed my 2 long hair cats for years excellently. They both get lion cuts and they taper the manes down beautifully for a perfect blend.We also had great success at the Chesterfield location with the training services from Brandi for our new puppy Coney! He did the 8 week puppy course and it’s remarkable how much he learned! He also had lots of fun playing with the other puppies throughout the day. He’s such a smart, sociable puppy now!We will continue to use Kennelwood’s great services for the 3 pets in our home!

Have used Kennelwood for grooming my crocker spaniel for years now. Marilyn is his groomer and always does a great job, and cuts Charlie just the way I ask for. Even though Charlie can be temperamental during grooming, Marilyn always leaves Charlie good marks on his report card. Very well managed facility, always amazed at how well the dogs behave that are being trained when you walk in the door. Definitely would recommend Kennelwood.

Kennelwood on Clarkson does a wonderful job grooming our puppy! He is clean and has very well trimmed nails. Most of all we appreciate how they alerted us to a possible ear infection that we didn’t know about.Very professional and great service!

This was the first visit for grooming for my older dog. The team was great, and he looks fantastic! What a bonus that the price was lower than many other groomers I have used!

After one week she was so calm and learned so much that we decided to extend for the 3 week training so she is a model behavior pup! Kennelwood Ellisville does a super job taking care of our 14 year Shepard mix dog. The Shedex works great to remove almost all of the loose hair. And it’s a lot! Highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff in Ellisville!!

This was my first experience with Kennelwood. Upon paying I had to ask for an itemized receipt to know what I was even paying for. (Not a big deal ultimately). As a first time guest this would have been nice to just get and had things explained. Our food container was left at another location which meant I needed to come back and get it. We also use a glass item we use as a slow feed at home and other kennels be accepted to be used here just like other places we have stayed. I find out later after getting home that we didn’t have it. When I called I was told it was broken on the first day. I was never informed of this and when our dog eats too fast she will vomit it back up. For all I know our dog had been vomiting up all the food she had eaten during the stay because she ate it too fast. I may be blowing things out of proportion, but it’s possible. Kennelwood did offer to bring my food container and replace my bowl but I declined as it wasn’t worth the hassle and I just wanted to be done with everything. My stay was reimbursed which is why it was 2 stars rather than 1. Overall I wasn’t impressed and will stick with my normal kennel that we have used 10-20 times not had any item broken or even misplaced.

Our neighbors dog died during a grooming appointment due to the negligence of an employee. The employee in question had been involved in a similar situation in a previous month. We had an appointment to have our dogs groomed before Christmas but we are too scared to take our pets there. When we canceled the appointment they asked why and we cited the situation involving our neighbor. The company immediately denied the death occurred, though the people affected by the situation live next to us, so we know it actually happened. The company is actively trying to cover up the multiple deaths and that simply isnt right. There are so many good businesses doing pet care around St. Louis... I would strongly recommend anyone reading this to go anywhere else for their future pet care. We were initially sad to abandon this location as weve been going here for many years... but after the attempted cover-up we feel completely uncomfortable with our pets safety here. Goodbye forever Kennelwood... youve completely betrayed us.

I have been bringing My yellow lab to this location since he was eight weeks old. He does training, camp, puppy play dates and grooming. My little guy has entropion and the staff is always very considerate of the issues with his eyes. Jenny is amazing and all of the staff know each Of my family when they show up for pick up. I highly recommend this establishment for regular care for fur babies!

The day camp training is the best decision we ever made for our 10 month old Bouvier. He absolutely loves going and is so, so.much better behaved. Highly recommended!The training staff are incredible. Some of the non-training staff could use some more training (putting collars on wrong, sending us with the wrong leash, etc.) But we are very satisfied overall.

We took our long-haired Angora in for a bath and cut. She can be a handful, but the staff said she was great. They did a fantastic job with her grooming - she looked adorable!

My poor dog was sprayed by a skunk and all locations were booked solid. Chesterfield agreed to squeeze in my dog and finished hours ahead of the estimated time. They were sweet, kind, and thoughtful.

I want to thank Christine for solving my problem that has not been solved for two years today. She actually fixed my invisible fence collar finally she noticed that the new transmitter was not properly set. I’ve had it for about two years I’ve had numerous employees try to fix the problem even paid 100 Dollars for someone to come to my house and still didn’t fix the collar . You have no idea how HAPPY I am. THANKS CHRISTINE!!!!

We have been using Kennelwood for years and they have always been good but this morning they really impressed me. Our golden is getting up there in age and his back legs are going. We just had him groomed last Sunday and everything was fine (they do a great job with older dogs) but last night he had an potty accident that left a mess on his hind legs. Susie was able to get him in by 8:00 am to clean him up and promised to have him back at 12 noon. Top notch service and great attitudes!

My experience with this place ended before I had a chance to give them my business. They discriminate based on breed. Look elsewhere if you have a dog that falls under the “pitbull” category. I understand that’s their policy and they have every right to have it. However, they failed to get back to me after my web request and so I had to call and follow up. They stated the reason for not calling me was because of this policy. They did recommend a place that would take my dog so for that they get an extra star

This place used to be pretty good but since theyve moved across the strip center they are now AWFUL. First of all, the new location is terrible as a space - insane echo, dogs barking everywhere (honestly, this is expected) but they get each other completely worked up due to the echo. On top of that, the employees are entirely incompetent. The manager is actually really good, but she is literally the only person at this location who has a clue what is going on. Every time weve gone in there something has been messed up with our appointment because the employees dont know how to do their jobs. If all of this wasnt enough, a friend of our family has their dog was killed during a grooming appointment. It is such a sad situation... I couldnt imagine bearing that kind of sadness, especially around the holidays. I can assure you we will never go to Kennelwood again - in retrospect this company is way too corporate, too much of a factory you might say, with only the minimal acceptable level of care for the pets to stay in business. I look forward to going to a smaller business that really cares about the pets and actually takes really good care of them!

Im so confused (and honestly sort of saddened) when I see so many people leaving rave (albeit very old) reviews about this place. I decided to take my two pets here once they moved across the parking lot to their new unit but Ill never go back. I wont plug any particular competitor but there are quite a few smaller companies around the Chesterfield area that do really great work and you wont be disappointed. Until Kennelwood fixes all the problems at this location Id recommend going anywhere else.

Do not - I repeat - DO NOT GROOM OR BOARD YOUR PETS HERE. This business is sketchy as hell and your pet will not be treated humanely. One of their grooming techs KILLED A DOG AND STILL WORKS FOR THE COMPANY!! HE SNAPPED A DOGS NECK WHILE TRYING TO BLOW DRY HIM AFTER THE OWNER TOLD HIM NOT TO! They do not care about their customers or the dogs themselves.My neighbors boarded their dog here and they picked up their dog and the dog was completely shaved to the skin when this family never asked them to shave the dog. The dogs bed came back with BURN MARKS all over it!! Like what!? They had no explanation for it either! What even happens to cause burn marks on a dogs bed!? Something is seriously wrong with the people that run this business...

Brynkley was well groomed and ready to go home when his ride arrived to pick him up. There are some long hairs on Brynkleys tail I need to trim back. This is the only time Ive had to go back and correct something. I enjoy Katie grooming Brynkley and shes the groomer I prefer.

I have been bringing my dogs to this KENNELWOOD for several years for grooming and I have had two puppies go through training and attend daycare. They have always loved coming. I have never had to drag them inside .. The jump out of the car ready to go in and play with their friends. The staff has always been friendly and professional.

I have been taking my schnoodle here for about a year for grooming, and just recently boarded her as well. The staff is helpful and courteous, and they take good care of our puppy. Would definitely recommend!

Haven’t been here in awhile, and unfortunately won’t be back. What a mess. I guess they’ve gotten too big to talk to me on the phone? After searching for the chesterfield phone number, finally called the main number. They transferred me. I asked to make a grooming appointment, the lady says “ no you need to call the main number we do everything through there, or you have to go online and register.” Ummm, sorry, no, I liked talking to the nice, actual human being at intake (at my location) who used to greet me and take my dog from me, confirm my services, and give me piece of mind that he was safe. Even if she did up sell me it was worth it. Bye.
