My dog had orientation for boarding today, and they took very good care of him. He doesn’t like most other dogs, and is a strong, stubborn guy, but they handled him so well. They were very kind and loving to him as well. We look forward to his stay with Petropolis next month.

My pup Rocky practically jumps out of the car to get to the Petropolis staff as soon as we arrive. He absolutely loves it here. He has not only boarded a couple times, but is also groomed here monthly by Shelby who he seems to LOVE! He also attends day care 1-2 times per week. We love petropolis! I trust that he is well taken care of every time we show up.

Great way to let your dog get their energy out. Kept in touch with me to let me know how my dog was doing which was very nice. The staff seemed very professional and cared for my dog as much as I do. Definitely going back there again.

While I can’t really complain as I mostly got what I knew I would be getting before dropping the dogs off. My only critique would be that the dogs should be let out multiple times a day (apart from potty break times) to get some exercise as a part of their stay. It’s by no means a cheap stay so I would think it would be included as it’s a basic need the animals have. Not to be charged $16 per dog. If you’re going to have to pay for that activity it definitely shouldn’t be per dog if you have multiple in same room. That blew my mind. But again I knew that up front so they didn’t hide anything from me but it’s just something I realized while they were there and when I watched them on the camera in their room and they just looked bored to death all day. Also everyone was very friendly and helpful from drop off to pick up. So it’s not really a complaint as I got what I was told but just something I think would be beneficial to the animals but to the customers as well. Would definitely use them again in future.

Our Sugar stayed two days and two nights. We got a villa so we could monitor her while being away. We had a lot of technical issues with the camera, but the staff was very kind and responsive and fixed it for us. We ordered her some extra snuggle and play time, but we werent really updated about when/if they happened, but we paid for it 🤷‍♀️ but over all our Jack Russell Terrier Mix seemed to have a good time, the grooming was fantastic and they took some adorable pictures of her and sent those to us. Over all we were happy and would come back!

I have been bringing my dogs to Petropolis for grooming, boarding and day care for several years. It’s honestly the best! Jax, my golden retriever goes to day care a few times a week to play. He LOVES it! The staff is exceptional! I’m still impressed that they remember all the dogs names and greet them every time we go! They make them feel so special and I feel good knowing they are well cared for!

Highly recommend!!!! I have 2 large covid pups that I have to board overnight for a work trip. I was so worried about finding a place that would work with their behavior difficulties from lack of socialization. My dog trainer recommended Petropolis and I am so happy! They send pictures, a report card, and a variety of options for interactions during boarding. Thank you so much!!!

At a last minute notice, I was able to get our dog-reactive, 85-lb mastiff/boxer mix booked for a 4-night stay when our usual boarder was full. Previously-posted good reviews led me back to Petropolis and I’m so glad they all got along while we took a trip out of town. He doesn’t do the usual playtime w/ other dogs and has separation anxiety so of course I worried. Very pleased to report he came home today healthy and well-cared for. Will def keep them as a second option as our other is slightly closer to home. Thx Petropolis and to Sam, his “snuggle time buddy”!

Staff are very friendly and gentle with Max, his first time at dog daycare. Although he is 27 lbs, they moved him from moderate to small as he can be shy and doesn’t play rough and tumble. I think this was a very good choice. We plan to board him in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of Max. He is a sweetheart.

I recently boarded my cat at Petropolis Chesterfield. Everyone was SO nice and professional. My Shadow is very challenging and a little grumpy, but the staff hung in there. I called to check on him and they told me that he had stopped hissing and swatting, I am so grateful to the staff for their patience. It is a very nice facility and super clean. I will be using them again in the future.

I work here so I might be a little bias but we take excellent care of the dogs I even bring my own here when I go out of town and know they will have a great time in group

I am always happy to drop off my 8 month old puppy here!!! Everyone that I have talked to are always professional and answer any question I have. My only request is to get camera so I could see how my pup is doing.

Took wonderful care of my kitty!! I was reassured by being able to call whenever I wanted to, and everyone there was genuinely so nice! Definitely recommend for you and your animals!

First time coming here for our new puppy. Needed a nail trim. I called to schedule an appt and the person I spoke to was very nice. She explained that someone will reach out to me shortly to ask some questions and schedule an appt. Then once I got there, I was greeted by the front desk associate and she was very nice and professional. She checked me in and I waited maybe 3 minutes before they took my dog in and waited another 5 minutes or so to get my dog back. Overall, great experience!

Petropolis is exceptional. While they are friendly and accommodating, that’s not what stands out. It’s the way the staff treats your pet and the other animals boarding there that makes them an A-list place. When we dropped our furry friend off, the staff member introduced us to other cats by name. He cared about them all! When I call to check in, they always take the time to give me an update. And when we came for pick-up, two of the staff lovingly and patiently put our kitty in her carrier. It’s hard to put into words. You’d have to see their demeanor with the pets staying there to really appreciate what I’m trying to say. With Petropolis, your beloved pet is in the best of hands!

Incredible experience! I have two puppy German shepherds that are rambunctious 10 month olds. Have been turned away just because of their breed and that they bark a lot. Vanessa and staff were so amazing with grooming Yogi and Booboo and so patient with them. We have many more appointments scheduled and will be bringing them here for puppy training- they took immediately to Grace the trainer when we came in ❤️ Thank you so very much for taking such great care of my pups 🐶

We have boarded our pets with Petropolis since the 1993 to start at Silver Maple Farms and then at the Petropolis in Chesterfield. The dogs have been well taken care and we have been informed when there have been health issues while being boarded. The staff has accommodated our travel schedule to ensure we could pick up later than normal hours.

The groomer was very friendly and did a great job grinding my dogs’ nails!

This is my dogs’ first time at Petropolis. Everyone was so kind and attentive. I was a nervous dog mom but the staff made me feel so much better. They called multiple times to tell me how great the dogs were doing and sent daily picture updates.

Ive boarded my cat here a few times and never felt worried about him. I call to check up and always get an amazing supportive response and update. I always feel like he’s getting special attention and is absolutely adored. My go to place!!!

The first visit (St Charles) location was horrible, so bad I swore I would never go back. Over priced and did not do what I requested. I went back to (Chesterfield) location to see if they could fix my cat. Luckily after a re groom and shed x, my cat looked like a cat again. I still think it’s a bit overpriced I mean you can get a large dog groomed for $89 which was the amount for my cat.

We had our first grooming appointment with our puppy and we couldn’t have been happier! Bonnie was amazing with our puppy and cut his hair the exact way we wanted. Overall amazing experience- thanks Bonnie!!

Five star fun for our pups! We were in town visiting family and wanted to treat our pups with a break and some fun time.Petropolis did not disappoint, they made it so easy to check in and send over our out of town veterinary records!They provided easy contactless check in and check out.The facility was well taken care of, very clean and nothing was worn down.The staff were top notch, they misplaced one of our puppies collars and they offered to pay to replace both the collar and leash without us asking.We’re out here a few times a year, Petropolis will be a must visit place for us in the future!They were so exhausted when we got back to the hotel. They needed some good playing!

I’m very pleased with the boarding and grooming at this location! We found them when we moved back to Missouri and we haven’t gone anywhere else since. They really take care of our boys and we never have to worry about them when they’re at Petropolis.

We have boarded our dog at the chesterfield Petropols for several years now and have always had exceptional service! Our dog loves his time there and we can enjoy our time away without worrying about his care.

Petropolis took care of my dog after a horrible experience with a chain groomer. He was scissor shy to the point I couldnt even pick them up without him running. While they initially had issues with my dog, they were able to calm him, and when he came back he was over his fear of scissors. The folks at Petropolis really care about your pets, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Excellent care. I am a new puppy owner and I have a min pin that needs help with socializing, and getting some of his wiggles out. He’s a yappy little thing. The puppy’s first time was excellent. He made some new friends and was a favorite amongst the employees. After a full day of daycare, the puppy was relaxed and slept all night for the first time since he arrived to our home. I had to wake him up to go pee. Mission accomplished! We will definitely be back!

I boarded my dogs for July 3rd-5th and the whole time I felt at peace with them there. They went over their boarding cards and asked for Clarification on the meds and feeding instructions which showed to me that they cared about getting it right. They requested a person who worked with them to be the one who brought them out so they could tell us how they did. The check in and out process was smooth and painless they answered all of my questions and when my dogs didnt fight to go with the attendant to much showed that they trusted them so I could because dogs are a good judge of character. They also did a hot dog and berry treat and texted me to ask if I wanted them to have some at a small surcharge. Also they require at least one activity so your dog is never in their kennel 24/7 theyre always getting some interaction I chose cuddles for one and 1 on 1 play for my other one. The prices were reasonable too all total we payed about $300 for a villa so their biggest room for my two dogs two nights, and I called on June 30th so they didnt even have a lot of time to prepare.The place was well staffed and clean, they have a vet right there so if anything did happen and my vet wasnt available they could get treatment immediately. All total it was a pleasant experience and Ill definitely be back next time I need to board them. PS I live in Imperial and drove to Chesterfield and am willing to do that again, thats how good they are.

Doggie daycare free visit went very well for the 1st visit of my 13 yr Welsh Terrier HazelShe was there from 7:30am-6pm.I’ll be on vacation for a couple weeks and want to make sure my girl is in a safe comfortable place! This will be her first stay without her litter mate and buddy.The staff was great and went slow with her and introduced her to people and pets at her pace and to evaluate her to see what she was comfortable with. She enjoyed the treats and getting to meet new people and and play with other dogs.We also met with the trainers at the end of the day and talked about a plan for some training and to work through some anxiety possibly due to recent loss of her litter mate.Overall a positive day and experience from the first phone call asking questions to the visit to the facility a few days later.Recommend giving them a call and checking it out for yourself!

WE LOVE Petropolis. The staff are always so fun, friendly, and willing to help with anything we need! When we picked up after our stay, our girls seemed so happy, healthy, and even clean (imagine that!). While they are a little pricy (for us at least), I believe you get what you pay for and Petropolis gives such excellent service, it’s worth every penny. The only negative we experienced was that they did get our girls mixed up and they called one of them a boy in our “pupdate”. BUT Brie was so kind and helpful and told us she’s talk to the hotel manager and made sure their pictures and descriptions were correct before we left. We will 100% board again in the future!

Bonnie did an excellent job grooming my aussies. I’ve never seen them so fluffy and nice smelling!!! She’s very sweet and takes the time to get the job done well!! I’d highly recommend her!!!

Last year I was a new pet owner and everyone was amazing - making it easy for my German Shepard Vinnie to feel at home, get cleaned and have a great day! We now go every 6 weeks. Very nice receptionist and groomers but the 20 yr. Experienced did not cut my English Cocker as she should be trimmed. We will try it again.For a half price amount it was very expensive espically for a 14 lb mini Dachshund.

Great customer service! I appreciated them trying to help my timid puppy make friends. First day of doggy daycare was free to let her check it out. We will definitely be back when she is a little older and less shy around other dogs.

We recently boarded our GSD at Petropolis. As always, due to her special needs and being timid, we book a quieter Villa for her stay, and with the Nest camera in the Villas, I can check in on her remotely at anytime to give me peace of mind and reduce my worrying about her. They were great as always! Highly recommend Petropolis!

We last minute needed a place for our puppy to stay two nights. I did some research and every one was saying Petropolis. We have never gone a night without our puppy. Our expectations were exceeded. We were both very excited to get a update on our baby and they even sent us a picture of her. I will definitely be bringing her back here!

I brought my 3 month old Frenchie in for his first doggie daycare experience, and i was so impressed with how attentive the staff was, from the front desk answering the phone or the staff that works with the dogs. I would highly recommend the Petropolis! We plan on coming back for more daycare days as well as boarding!!

Best dog grooming.Issues said dog would be ready at one i called at oneAnd they said they would call me when done. They forgot i fi ally called at 3 and they said they forgot to call me when the dog was done. Another issue the cost was higher than what i was quated over the phone by 13$. Again dog looks great

I have been to many Groomers but this is the 1st place that the Staff takes their time and listens to what the customer says. They are friendly & very professional. Bailey was groomed to my expectations & I am very pleased and will keep coming back. I absolutely love this place! Susan was the Groomer.

My girls, Bella and Ellie had so much fun with their new friends. I loved how they send pictures throughout the day so you can see how your pups are doing. The only thing I wish they had was a webcam in the play areas so you can watch your dogs interact and play. That would be the icing on the cake!

I had my first time experience at Petropolis this week & it was amazing! I brought my 3 dogs to get groomed at the same time. One of my dogs is over 100 pounds, so it can be difficult to bring them all at the same time. When they made my appointment over the phone they told me to just let them know when I arrive and someone will help me in. When I pulled up, that is exactly what happened! They sent 2 people out to help me. One of the groomers sent me pictures of my dogs before, during and after their grooming experience. Every person I encountered appeared to be happy to be there! It was a tremendous experience from start to finish. If you love your dog and want the very best for them, I would highly recommend this place! Top notch!

We have used Petropolis for both day care and lodging for our Irish setters over the past 15 years. The staff is professional and all seem to have a genuine concern for the dogs.

I know during this COVID19 time it is difficult for all of us. I appreciate your safety precautions while taking in Rosie for her bath and spa day. She looks great and smells good. It was long overdue. Thank you again for delivering a positive customer experience.

Shelby was incredible with our dog. He has very bad anxiety and doesn’t like to be groomed. They took their time and did an absolute great job.

Shelby was wonderful with our nervous pup and he looks fabulous! Setting up our appt was easy and they walked us through all of our options. The facilities are very nice and well kept. We will be bringing our dog back!

My cat had surgery a month before she arrived. She was under weight and skittish arriving to petropolis. We relocated from another state, so she boarded for a month while her living quarters were prepared. After a month at petropolis, she returned to me in incredibly good condition. Im forever grateful for the treatment of my cat and myself.Im glad to know she has a great place to board. Heart centered thanks Petropolis!

I am thrilled with the service.

Everything was perfect at Petropolis. They were extremely easy to work with, even with our last minute plan changes. We boarded 2 dogs for 2 days and even though it was a little more expensive than our usual place, it was well worth the extra money for the great service.

We take our dog there when we travel and nobody to watch him. one of the best places for boarding i have ever seen. i love the doggy water park area, and the different kennel options too. The staff is very good at one on one with everyones pets and they get to know not only the pets but the owners as well. Makes the place very comforting for pets and their owners.

Amazing! They give reports on how your pup did and send pictures. Our little poodle had a great time and she’s exhausted. Great way to get your new puppy socialized with other doggos during the pandemic.

We’ve used Petropolis for boarding our two dogs and cat, doggie daycare, and puppy training over the last 9 years. The dogs love it there! The staff is wonderful. We recommend Petropolis very highly.

Today was my little mans first day of doggie day care. I’m very pleased with how it went for him. He truly loved it!

I have been taking my baby, Eeyore, to Petropolis since he was a tiny puppy (he is a Maltese). Eeyore is now 13years old (but he’s still my baby). I love Petropolis! He visits the groomers about every other month. Jan (Eeyore’s groomer) is wonderful with him, and let me tell you i adore him but he can be a real stinker! She’s also great with me ...a helicopter mommy. I have also boarded Eeyore 2 times at Petropolis. Both times were wonderful experiences! Eeyore had separation anxiety the first time and wasn’t eating. They called me to let me know and ask if they could mix some wet dog food with his normal dog food to try to get him to eat...it worked and he had no more problems. The staff is friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Petropolis!

Wonderful staff, great groomers

Excellent. Very accommodating. I made an appointment to bring my cat in for grooming. I told them I wanted an early time and would wait for the cat. They set up the time so it fit my schedule. My cat is nervous and not always cooperative, the groomer was very good. As I watched through the window I saw my cat calmly laying and the groomer calmly shaving her fur. Absolute perfection.

They took our Havanese for boarding after we were called away for a family emergency. She was there for three nights, totaling $170 - not cheap. From my vet I found out they require an Influenza shot but when I called to confirm what was needed they didn’t mention that. It wasn’t until I called back that they said they DID need the vaccine. She also smelled when I picked her up so had to give her a bath when we got home. Having said all this, it’s a huge, new facility with lots of activities and a friendly staff but not sure I’d bring her back, mainly because of the cost.

We recently took our dog to Petropolis for boarding. It was a great experience for us and our dog. The employees were so kind and seemed to really enjoy what they do. We felt comfortable and relieved to leave our dog at Petropolis.

I have been a regular a Petropolis since my chocolate Labrador was a puppy. They do all his grooming, daycare, and boarding. I loudly proclaim my love for this company. My puppy has no manners and can be very exhausting but they shower him with love every time we walk through the door. We utilize the villa upgrade option when we board so I can watch my baby on camera whenever I feel worried or miss him. He does solo play because he is too high energy for the group play but they make sure he gets all the love and attention he needs. I never question his safety when I have to leave him. That alone is invaluable. Thank you Petropolis!

I havnt even visited either location. Just spoke to a lady named Laura and Im already in love with the customer satisfaction. The caring to each and every breed they come into contact with . I have been having a hard time trying to find a training facility that accepts bully breeds. But Petropolis has a 0 tolerance for breed restrictions (kennelwood boo you for discriminating against breeds) but Im very excited to bring my bully pup here .
