When my previous dentist decided to consolidate his practice, the office I had gone to was closed and the new location would have doubled my driving distance. Two members of my family use Clarkson Dental Group and are very pleased with the care and services they receive. Its location is less than two miles from my home in a commercial complex that I frequent regularly.As a new patient, I was asked to complete a very detailed online medical questionnaire. It was a reminder that ones health issues may relate to good dental care. So, when I arrived for my 7:00 a.m. appointment, the staff was ready for me.Beginning with the dental hygienist, Kim, a complete set of x-ray film was taken followed by the most thorough cleaning I have ever had. This was in preparation for an exam by Scott, the dentist.I appreciate professionals who are detail oriented, and the Clarkson Dental Group certainly meets that standard.

I am brand new to the area and was able to get into the dentist right away. I loved how friendly the office staff, hygienist , and dentist were. Nikki, the hygienist, was absolutely amazing. I have always had a bad experience at the dentist to the point of I stopped going unless a emergency. Well of course I had unbearable tooth pain only problem was Dr. wasnt in the office. Caleb was amazing, kind and helpful from the moment he answered the phone but I was trying to get in asap. I hung up and Caleb sent me a text if I couldnt find someone sooner or needed anything to call back. I called a few other places but something kept telling me to go there. Im so glad I did! Everyone was amazing didnt get upset or rush me when I cried from just walking in the door or sitting in the chair. They walked me through everything and made sure I was always comfortable. I would recommend them to everyone.

I was very happy with my visit to Clarkson Dental. When I arrived, I saw the office was practicing social distancing and wearing masks. The front desk took my temperature to make sure I was not feverish. The office was extremely clean. When I went back for my cleaning, the hygienist very friendly and very thorough. My hygienist let me know how I was doing with my oral hygiene. I already knew I needed to floss more and she confirmed this. The dentist is the most personable doctor I’ve ever spoken with. Every time I come back I feel like I’m catching up with friends I haven’t spoken with in six months. I love this dental office, and I can’t wait to go back for my next visit.

I love this place. I used to be ashamed of my smile. When I first came to Clarkson Dental Group, I had been rarely, if ever, brushing or caring for my teeth, holding my lips together when I smiled, and not seeing a dentist for at least 12 years--I was terrified to hear how bad it was, and had accepted the idea that theyd fall out one day.When I dragged myself in to see Dr. Mahlin, tail between my legs, they gave me the news: Its really not too bad, well have to do a deep clean, maybe put in a few fillings, well get you all fixed up! Probably the nicest group of people in any office Ive ever visited. Everyone is polite, professional and just plain friendly. My hygienist and the dentist sit and chat before jumping in to do their work. I switched here for the convenient location (and positive reviews that I read) and I am happy with my decision. I am self pay and their rates are slightly higher than my last dental group but not enough for me to switch back. I also have not been pressured for extra, unnecessary services like my last dental group used to do.

I first found Dr. Mahlin in 2007 in Columbia, Missouri. I was in nursing school with his wife, Amy. I had a tooth that broke and the conversation we has was one of fear, (on my part) of having to see a dentist. She assured me that her husband would be gentle and make sure I was comfortable. I made an appointment and with white knuckles and high anxiety, followed through with that appointment. I HAVE NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF A DENTAL APPOINTMENT SINCE. Dr. Mahlin is the most kind, gentle and caring dentist (and person) I have ever been to. He makes sure that I am informed and understands what he is doing and why, He makes sure that I am comfortable and am not hurting in any way. His staff is awesome and so gentle and kind. I had told them if they could handle me they could handle any 2 year old! In the past 13 years I have had major dental work. From fillings to root canals and crowns, to dental implants. I have no fear anymore of dental appointments.
