Said they didn’t have AKG that worked been here for hours and basically making my family walk out with no results because it’s now 9 pm and there closed

There are just words to express how I dislike this place. I wish there was an option for zero stars. Ended up taking my daughter elsewhere.

The worst in customer service. Has absolutely no organization. I would not recommend coming here.

I am very disappointed in chkd urgent care. We made an appointment/save my spot. It took 3 hours for my very sick 4 year old to get a X-ray of his stomach, get a prescription for zofran and get a Covid test. We still doesn’t have the results of the Covid test it’s been almost 24 hours. I understand they are busy but that is a very long time for a sick child to wait. We will be going somewhere else next time

Only one parents is allowed back with child , which is ridiculous. Especially for children who have a two parents household . Takes forever for check in and registration. Could not FaceTime his dad while back there so i can see what was going on . This is why i try to avoid this place at all cost.

I certainly would never come here again , I understand they do have wait times but if I get a room and I’m sitting in there for 2 hours and 30 mins and you come in the room and tell me something that only took 10 mins , I’m gonna be frustrated. I never got seen . I only got placed in a room and I’m over this urgent care do better and do your jobs. !

I wanted to take my children test result but someone on the reseption is bad hangs the phone for ever i waited for 20 minutes but no one pick up the phone not good

My kids are 6 years old and having problems of fever , chest block breathing etc . CHKD was very busy we wait for 4 hrs n last patient. Doctor checked both kids but didn’t write and send prescriptions to Walmart pharmacy. When we asked at registry next day he told us doctor may be forget because handling more than 60 patients per day . We keep on calling and wait but didn’t get any prescription after one week. Don’t recommended this place.

The staff members are great! We were registered right away and did not have to wait in the lobby very long. We appeared to show up after the rush so everything was moving quickly.

I don’t think I will ever take my kids to any urgent care that isn’t CHKD. All of the people working here are so good with kids. The nurses & doctors here are always so great with my girls. They take the time to listen to them even when they are telling a story that has nothing to do with the reason we are there.

This is the type of place you hope youll never need but youll be very grateful for the service you receive if you do. The staff are both compassionate and professional. The facility is clean and modern. Wait times can be long but helpfully there is the option to sign in online and shorten your wait. This is a great addition to the CHKD system.

I’m not the type to leave bad reviews but we did not have a good experience with this location. No follow up after a urinalysis and his symptoms kept getting worse. Next time I suppose we just wait for the next weekday to take him to his primary pediatrician.

From the reviews Ive read and the experience my daughter had here, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE if you want your child to be diagnosed correctly!!! My granddaughter was diagnosed as having a skin disease and put on 3 prescriptions. She actually had a bad diaper rash diagnosed by her pediatrician over a phone video. I dont know what has happened to the medical field for children but these people do not care. The doctor was a disgrace (another doctors words). Save your time and money. Go to Patient First.

My only problem was as soon as you walk in what are you being seen for tonight out loud thats not a good way to greet someone. I never seen anything like it before 1/18/21 privacy is a must someone need some training asap because i know thats not the way a person should be greeted especially when you already have someone in front of me i mean what do you want me to do yell out loud why i am here with my daughter in front of everybody why i want to be seen

Just took my two year old in and saw a PA named Amanda. She was kind, caring and fast. The staff was very professional and nice and would I definitely recommend this place! Thank you CHKD!

The doctor and nurse had really good bedside manners, and the facility has a check in while you wait in your car (CoVid safe)

My son is autistic and every other urgent care had a 3 hour wait just to be seen, so I went on the CHKD website to sign up for a appointment and he was in and out within 20 minutes for a Covid test. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come here again and reccomend it to others. Thank you for you kindness to my son.We are very happy with our visit.

Very nice staff. Great and Fast patient service. My son with a disability went in for lab work and the staff that treated him were all considerate and got done faster than we expected. They were all nice and kind. Thumbs up and we will be going here again.

Dr. Luis Olmedo was very very kind to my 3 week old and thoroughly explained her condition and was also very thorough in his explanation to help ease this moms worries. Registration was very nice and so were the nurses as well!

We checked in online for my son who woke up with quite obvious pink eye on a holiday weekend. Every single staff member and clinician was kind, knowledgeable, clean, professional, and efficiently quick. The facility was clean and well organized, and despite being very busy our visit was all of one hour.

Prior to our visit to this facility my daughter had been on antibiotics to clear up a double ear infection. (Diagnosed by her pediatrician.) She finished her meds on 11/25. My family & I visited this facility on 11/29 (pediatricians office closed due to holiday) because my 7 month old was tugging at her ear again. We waited over an hour to be seen. The doctor came in. We explained the problem. She literally looked in my daughters ears so fast. No light. Really no effort. I asked if she could explain the tugging of the ears if it didn’t appear to be an ear infection. She said it could be residual fluid & it would dry up. She was in the room for less than 5 minutes. I CANNOT MAKE THIS UP. I asked about the cold symptoms my daughter had... she didn’t recommend anything or even seem like she cared!!!! Fast forward to today .. 12/6 my 7 month old had a doctors appointment to check on her ears... & we find out she still has an infection in her left ear!!!!! Listen, if you’re going to be in business to diagnose and treat please do so effectively. My daughter went 1 whole week without any antibiotics due to this facility telling me she no longer had an infection. I will not be back. If you care about your children & their well being you will not visit this office.

I brought my daughter in for stitches. There was no wait and they treated her quickly. I’ve been to ERs for similar issues and have easily spent hours waiting for one or two stitches, so I was so surprised to be in an out in less than hour. The doctor here was so friendly and so reassuring to my daughter. The nurses made sure that my daughter was comfortable and helped assuage her fears. I would give the experience ten stars if I could.

They were great! Our Nurse and Doctor were amazing. They treated my son quickly and effectively, explained everything to me, and had us out as quick as possible. They were very friendly and inviting from the doctor all the way to the receptionist. We waited for like 45 minutes to an hour but that can only be expected for an urgent care. I definitely recommend checking in online to wait in the comforts of your home.

They take great care of my daughter whenever we have to go here. The doctors, nurses, and front staff are always nice and make my daughter feel comfortable. Never a long wait time, online check in helps to make it easier when you arrive with your little one.

Do not bring your kid here. This is the worst healthcare facility. I will say the nurses were okay, but the front desk staff made our whole experience terrible. They were terrible. We will be driving to Landstown or even Loehmans plaza from here on out. An extra 15 minutes in the car = way better care and competent service by a long shot.

Definitely make an appointment online so you dont have to wait. every time we have had an appointment, we have been seen really quickly. doctors have been very nice and knowledgeable. I love that my childs chkd primary care doctor is always notified when we go to urgent care and then they follow up with us. great service!

I cant say enough good things about this place! They took excellent care of my little guy last night. All of the staff from the receptionists to the doctor were extremely kind, concerned, and helpful. I am really glad to know theyre building a new one right down the street from my house in VA Beach! I registered online and when we arrived we barely waited 2 minutes to be seen. The nurses and physician took great care of my infant son. I highly recommend coming to this facility when in need of urgent care for a child.

Wasn’t busy on a Friday at 5:45 which was great! Clean! Friendly staff! Fast check in! Great nurses & Docs! 10/10 would recommend!

I checked in online and had about an hour before I had to be there but I went ahead and headed out there as soon as I made online check-in time. I got there 30 minutes before my check in time and was able to be taken back with my son in less than 5 minutes. We saw a nurse and the doctor within 10 minutes. Then he had X-rays done in less than 10 minutes and then we had initial results within 5 minutes. I was absolutely amazed at how fast we got through the process and Im sure any other parent knows that a two-year-old with an injury is not a simple task to handle. The staff was wonderful with him and very patient. I would recommend this location again and again!

Excellent and fast service. The friendly and knowledgeable staff definitely made my 17mo comfortable. They made sure he left with what he needed. I now have a peaceful sleeping baby; who is no longer wheezing or coughing throughout the night.

I had to change my review from five stars. I always had a great experience here with great doctors and staff but the last couple of times Ive been there my child has been misdiagnosed. It seems that the care is not what it used to be.

Took my 2 year old because he wasnt feeling well. Everyone was beyond nice and sweet. Was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Im sure on busier days it would take longer but i also checked in online before going.

Despite having 16 patients in front of me today, I was in and out in only a little over two hours - very surprised and they worked efficiently. Everyone was very kind. Dr. March immediately diagnosed my daughter, and even talked about what to discuss with my regular pediatrician in followup. Very happy with my care today.

My daughter sprained her ankle and we were seen here. Everyone was SO friendly and helpful. We got in and out very quickly, even with X-rays, a splint and crutches tutorial. We checked in online and showed up at the designated time and were seen right away. If youve ever seen Miracles From Heaven, my daughter and I both agreed that the Dr she was seen by reminded her of him. He was that awesome! 😁❤️👊🏻 Thanks CHKD urgent care team. Yall rock and Im thankful for this option over the ER.

I took my 11 year old daughter here to get stitches for her bottom lip. I didnt know about the online check-in so we waited for about an hour and a half, but that was expected. I did like how you could check in and they will text you when its close to being seen. We sat in the car and waited because there were a lot of sick people waiting to be seen. The woman that was sitting at the desk when I first walked in wasnt friendly in the least bit. That was definitely a turn off. I had never been to this facility before so I walked up to her and said that I needed to check in. She pointed and said I needed to sign in at the kiosk. So I did. I then returned to her and said I signed in and opted to be texted when they were ready for us. I wanted to make sure they would text me. She nodded and my daughter and I went to sit in my car to watch a movie while we waited. I could see the screen in the waiting room and saw that next to my daughters name there wasnt a waiting time, but rather check-in. So I told my daughter I would be back I needed to see why it said that. Once again I went to the same lady that was sitting at the entrance. I told her that I had signed my daughter in, but next to her name it said, check-in. She said, Because you have to sign in at the kiosk. I said, We already did that. She said, No, you have to sign in. And then she answered the ringing phone. Once again I walk over to the kiosk. I say to myself, I already did this. Off her phone call she waves me over and says, Did she get a white bracelet?? I respond, No. She then rifles through and hands me a clipboard and tells me I need to fill out the papers. As Im filling them out, she asks for our last name and my daughters date of birth. I tell her that info. Im still filling out the paperwork when she holds out the white bracelet and asks wheres my daughter. I tell her that shes in the car and I will get her in a minute. Im still filling out the paperwork and not even 30 seconds later she says with an attitude, Are you going to get her??? I raised my voice and I said, I said Id get her in a minute!!! Then she changed her tone, and said, when my daughter came in to have her go to the middle desk and theyd give her the white bracelet. I motioned for my daughter to come in and I finished the paperwork. The not so friendly employee went on what I assume was her break. Another woman in a green shirt with a bun on the top of her head walked over to my daughter and asked her for her birth date and put the white bracelet on her. She was very nice and friendly. I dont know what was going on with the other one, but if you are dealing with the public, you need to be friendly no matter what you have going on.Now the Doctor.... We had Dr. Olmedo. I absolutely loved him. I even asked him if he had a private practice because I would definitely take my children to him. He was fantastic. He told my daughter that he would explain everything he was going to do before he did it and thats exactly what he did. He was very kind and definitely caring. He was honest with her which I appreciated very much. He told her that it was going to hurt when he gave her the first shot to numb her lip so she was prepared for that. He explained to me also why it was a good thing I brought her in instead of listening to my husband and just using a butterfly bandage. I cant say enough praises about Dr. Olmedo. He had us both laughing. In the end, he gave my daughter a popsicle. I dont know if the Dr. will read this review, but if you do, you need your own practice!! Thank you!!!

Everyone was super friendly. Got called back right away. Nurses and PAs were great with the kiddo, super thorough and answered all of our questions and concerns. Even went over and beyond printing out over the counter med dosages for his age and weight. Great facility and staff, highly recommend. Thank you!

I go here all the time. Its always amazing. With their new online check in service we get to wait at home and get served right when we walk in. They always make us feel special. Im sorry to see so many negative reviews. Weve been coming here over 2 years now.

We have never been there and not had to wait hours to be seen. Right down the street is another urgent care that is always fast and sweet and even gives my daughter a little toy. There is no point coming here and waiting forever when we can go a block away and be seen and done in the time wed be waiting here.

Beware!! Dont waste your time or money!! I took my son here on a Saturday night-- he had a horribly sore throat with all the signs of strep. The nurse doing triage admitted that she normally didnt do the strep swabs, but because they were busy, she went ahead and did it herself. And then, not only did we wait for over an hour to be seen after we went through triage, the doctor was indifferent and barely seemed to know what he was doing. My son was crying because his throat hurt so badly, and the doctor flippantly said, Why are you crying, man?, like A. It was something to be embarrassed about, and B. He couldnt understand that my son was actually IN PAIN. Then he seemed perplexed as to why I was asking to see the ingredients of the popsicle he offered my son (apparently, the best they could do as far as treating his illness), when I had already mentioned that he had severe food allergies. At one point, I actually wondered if he had wandered in off the street and just put on a stethoscope that he had found. Both the rapid test and culture came back negative, but his throat continued to get worse. I finally took him to his own pediatrician on Tuesday morning, and the rapid test immediately popped as strep. Our doctor was surprised that our other tests were negative, given how bad his infection was and how much pain he had already been in over the weekend. I believe that he was not swabbed well, and was grossly misdiagnosed by the doctor. And then I get a huge bill for it all. I will never return here!!

Seen quickly. Doctor was aggressive with treatment (in a good way). Treated my daughters condition seriously and prescribed proper medications to get her better quickly.

If your child is sick close to closing hours be mindful. Dr. Vyas appeared to irritated and in a rush to get home. However, the other staff members were pleasant. There were quite a few times during my conversation with her about my childs health she was short with me as well as seemed irritated that my child was crying...uhmm shes a child and sick and your the professional...Uhmm well supposed to be.

I always have a good experience here. The staff is wonderful, and are always quick to take care of my little ones.

Most Drs are wonderful. I wouldnt recommend a PA though. My experience last night was in and out and I do recommend to check-in online!

They sent prescription to wrong place called to change the location to pick it up, it took them 3 hours cause they were busy I am very upset with this place now our pharmacy is closed and now she wont get her medicine for very contagious strep throat. Thanks a lot. Do not ever take your children here

Edit to add the doctor is Dr Ruzecki. STEER CLEAR OF HER!! The Doctor (will edit with name as soon as we can figure out spelling) misdiagnosed not one, not 2 but 3 of my kids. So you pay to go here, then pay again to go to your regular chkd doctor. I will be calling the insurance company to discuss this. Anyway, the doctor was extremely rude, not only to my kids but to me as well. She diagnoses all with allergies, 2 days later we are back at our regular doctor, one has strep and his asthma is so bad (she REFUSED steroids) hes now on his second treatment and STEROIDS, ANTIBIOTICS. SECOND AND 3RD kids have sinus infections and are getting antibiotics cuz theyre ears look horrible as well. You are better of sitting in the disgusting er than going here. Yeah they might be quick but the bedside manner and knowledge is horrible. For the record I e been a mother 22 years, I know when something is wrong with my kid and when a doctor shushes Me, she shouldnt be practicing.

Worst experience ever! Waited for 4 1/2 hours to be seen. Dr fought with me over doing a simple strep/flu test. Plus they forgot about me once I did get pulled back. How do I know they forgot about me? Because they told me!

Amazing urgent care!! My son has been sick for a week and a half. I originally took him to his pediatrician and she said he just had a cold and sent him home telling me over the counter meds were fine. Since then his cold had gotten worse and he had a fever. A friend at work referred us to this urgent care and since he pediatrician is linked to CHKD they had all his info. They open at 4 and there were a few people there but we got right in. The receptionist hadnt even finished taking all of our info when the nurse called us back. We were taken to the room and the Dr came within 5 minutes. Everyone was so nice and helpful and they seemed to really care about my son. I would never take my boy anywhere else!!

Walked in at 11:00 to get my sons ear looked at after my called to make sure he could be seen. The person who answered the phone stated to my wife as long as the doors were not locked we could get seen. Well when I was at the front desk inside the building, we were told they were closed.

Do not go here! Theyve misdiagnosed my 3 year old daughter two separate times now. The first, they said she had a virus that made her have a fever and that her ears looked fine. Followed up with the pediatrician to find the double ear infection I had suspected. But that does not even compare to the second time. She had been sick a few a days with a fever up to 101.5 and they called it a cold, said to treat the symptoms. When she ran 103 last night, I took her to Patient First where they diagnosed her with double pneumonia! Never taking my child back again!

Not going to lie, I really had high hopes for this place when it opened up since its so close to my home and I normally only bring my son to CHKD facilities. However, every time we come here, he always ends up misdiagnosed and we end up being re-seen at his pediatricians office or and different facility. I never ever have problems with the CHKD ER, theyre so wonderful. But my son ended up being misdiagnosed twice here before he was admitted to the CHKD hospital for Kawasaki Disease for 7xdays. For those who do not know what that is, its an inflammation of arteries around the heart which is supposed to be diagnosed and treated within 10xdays. Mind you, my son was 5 months old when this happened and I havent been back since and he turns two in February. They also tried to give my son some medication to help with his fever, and I tried explaining to the nurse, please do it slow or he will choke and throw it up. And she was rushing to give it to him, and what did he do PROJECTILE vomited everywhere. I was so upset.Pretty sad, wish the Doctors and PAs were more qualified or at least acted like they cared instead of leaving before the patients. Dont work somewhere you cant take the time to take care of patients.

Dont go here I went for my son who is almost 2. He has a horriable cough. Infact it was terrifying. His chest sounded horriable and he sounded contested. They took a look at his ears chest and throat. They said he was perfectly fine. Being a mother and knowing my son I knew something was wrong so I took him to chkd hospital and they said he had strept throat. Chkd urgent care basicaly told me that didnt want to run a strept test. I will never go to another urgent care id rather wait 3 hours at the hospital.

It is amazing that this group of morons is allowed to exist as a medical institution. My 14 month old daughter was extremely hot to the touch, sweaty, red, and throwing up. Upon taking her temperature, the doctor told us she did not have a fever and not to worry. After insisting he was obviously mistaken, a second reading showed a 102.2 degree fever. When I told him that she threw up three times at a babysitters house and was being fed only Pedialyte (which was all she could stomach), he replied with something to the effect of, Well... if you didnt SEE her throw up, you can just go back to her normal diet, cookies, ice cream, etc., apparently under the impression that not only was our trusted babysitter lying, but a 14 month old should be eating cookies and ice cream. Also, while weighing our baby, the nurse simply left her on the scale to pursue a completely non-work related conversation. The remainder of the visit was entirely unprofessional and pointless. I would sooner seek medical assistance at a gas station than visit this institution again.

I took my son malcolm saunders there last night his fever was 100.6 one of the nurse had give him some meds and sent us home i will never go back there again you dont never send a child or a grown person home with a fever

I did not expect them to do magic but maybe better bedside manners know schedule of your staff. How do you let someone wait for a long time on XRay and then go oh I forgot they left around time you did XRay and we cannot read it.I came and about to leave with no answer but keep child hydrated and he must must see his doctor Monday. This is the very first time Im beyond dissaponted on pediatrician since Ive become mother over 10y ago.

Recently had my second experience with the urgent care on Volvo Pkwy. First experience was with my then 6 year old son who was dehydrated after having a stomach bug for 2 days and not being able to keep anything down. They got his IV started on the first stick and were very attentive the whole time we were there. My mom is a RN and was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff.Last week I had to take my daughter (11 yrs old) who had been hit in the elbow by a pitch at ball practice. They did X-rays and after the doctor reviewed them they put her arm in a splint as a precaution because it looked fractured and I was told it could possibly be 3-5 pm the following day before I heard what the radiologists final diagnosis was, but after expressing concerns over our weekend trip out of town for my daughters ball tournament the doctor told me she would call as soon as she heard something. As promised the doctor call me a little after 9am the next morning to let me know it was not fractured, but was a line on her growth plate! I once again was pleased with the service we received. We didnt leave there until over an hour after they closed and I never felt like I was being rushed out the door. I wouldnt hesitate to take my children there again in the future!
