I spent 6 hours in total waiting here. I saw multiple people wait for 30 minutes to an hour to go back while i was on my 3rd hour of waiting. They never called my phone after I gave them my number(yes i know how to check my call logs) and the receptionist had to ask me why I hadnt been called back yet just for them to realize they never called me.However the staff was extremely hospitable and once they realized i had been there waiting and starving myself they offered me water and even their own food. Also Dr. Thomas was very polite, understanding, and willing to listen to my concerns considering my health issue. He got me out of there pretty quickly after I saw him but he made sure to do the necessary things before sending me on my way and he didn’t seem rushed or in a hurry at all.All in all it was not a positive experience however, to be fair, it was a simple mistake and the staff was more than understanding and willing to do their job.

Came in bleeding and alerted the nurse that I was actively bleeding. She told no one. I sat for a full hour before someone checked my info. I asked if I should go somewhere else faster and they told me no, the doc would be with me shortly.Ive been here for 2 hours now for stitches and still have not seen a doctor. Theyre sweet, but dont go here if youre in pain or hurt. The service is way too slow.

The clinic was incredibly over-crowded and the wait times were exceptionally high. From arrival to completion it took around 2 hours. In the current medical climate, I feel we have to be understanding.Every staff member I met was lovely. From the desk, to nurses and physician assistants everyone was working hard and offering very complete and unrushed care. Their information was helpful, the facility was extraordinarily clean, the spaces felt private and comfortable.I really felt they were offering highly personalized care to each patient, and for that, especially with urgent care it really is worth a wait when they are so overburdened.I would strongly recommend a visit if needed. They really created a high confidence that they were knowledgeable and compassionate each day.

I was told it would be an hour away 3 hours later at 10 oclock pm. I decided to just leave. I had an eye infection and all I needed was some eye drops Id rather lose my eye than wait another minute. Should have gone to Chesapeake general. Or better yet why do I need to wait for half a day for a 3 minute evaluation and script.

Very low wait time compared to what people are saying about other places. Staff very friendly and attentive as always. You can tell the staff here works very hard but also make the time to listen and care for the patients. Everyone I interacted with deserves a raise. I’ve been to this location many times over the years and I have never once had even the slightest negative experience. I always recommend people go to this location for urgent care.

This is one of the best facilities that I have had the pleasure to visit. Upon entering I was greeted with warmth. My wait time was very minimal and the staff was very polite and professional. They made me feel as I were family rather than a patient. Everyone that I encountered spoke and was very kind to me. I felt like I was a VIP customer. Seriously, this is how they treat everyone because I took notice as others came and went. Hands down a wonderful experience and if in the area again and need care, they will definitely be the place where I would go.

One of the M.D.s made a shocking conclusion regarding a full duty release date for my family member after job-related burn injury without actually questioning the patient about his current condition and ability to perform the job - just by looking at the affected area. Have an M.D. a right for his opinion - of course! Is his opinion reasonable? humane? logical? - that was my question exactly, when we decided to call back, in case this full duty release date was a mistake. Apparently - no, there was not a mistake. On our end we have concluded the following: stay healthy, but if you have to see a doctor, go elsewhere, unless you are absolutely desperate. In our situation, patient was not first for sure!

Patient First on Battlefield. Top notch service. I am not easy to please and I hate doctors, but when I say I love this place it is an understatement. All the staff are great from beginning to end. They are wonderful. They call to check on you make sure you are great. I never knew we had doctors office like this. Went in there because I thought I had a bladder issue. Dr. Santa said I will just run a check on your kidney, turns out I had kidney disease. The thing is they made me feel so at ease and I was not scared. I just love this place. I hate writing reviews but I just had to write this one. Way to go Patient First. You guys are the best. Kudos to you guys.

I got here at 5:40pm, they did not call me back into the room until 7pm. I have now been waiting in the room for over 2 hours and not a single soul has come in. I kindly stuck my head out and just said, hey do you know about how much longer? She responded and said there is two people ahead of you. A few moments passed and I hear the lady I asked in the hallway complaining about me to her co worker for asking about the wait time, and her response was well now there is 4 people ahead of her. This is all outside my room with the curtain wide open. So now I’ve been in this room for over 2 hours staring at this dirty piece of gauze that was left in the middle of the room I am in.

2 week update: our family is now testing positive for Covid. One of our chief complaints related to possibly positive covid patients being brought into the building and even sitting in the waiting room. Go to NowCare, where they do virtual pre-screening on possible covid patients and have them test in their car.Went to this PF at 10:15 in the morning. Was seen for paperwork at 10:32, and told to wait in the car. Finally received a call to go back at 12:48 p.m. Sat in a patient room until 2 p.m. when we decided to leave and the doctor standing outside our room said he would finish us up in 5 minutes. Before seeing us, the Nurse Sharon who had been standing at the computer close to our room went and told the doctor that we hadnt been waiting that long because she was upset we were discussing some of the inefficiencies of how they had things running. We left instead of being seen. Went to NowCare on Volvo Pkwy and was checked in and seen within an hour and a half.

I do really wish front desk and nurses were a bit more friendlier. People go to a clinic because they dont feel well. A friendly smile or small chat is so helpful and goes a long way to recovery to anyone who is feeling down and sick. I honestly do not understand why this is so difficult for people who serve in the medical field especially when you are the first person people see before seeing doctor. I understand having to deal with so many sick people going in and out of the clinic cant be easy but just try not to take it out on the next person. Practice fake smile if you have to. Thank Goodness the doc assistant Scott Summerlin was wonderful otherwise I would not return to this clinic.

Bad service (for me) I’ve been waiting here with my 3 kids for 2 hours and we where here very early and waiting for our turn but so far it feels like everyone else has gone. The “doctors” have even got to you lunch break and many doctos have passed my our room and everyone around us has left even the ones that came in after us and there already gone.I waisted like $100+ on this place and i still haven’t gone my kids checked and the to us it feels like it’s lunch first instead of patients first. My whole family even got inpatient with this place they wanted to leave and many doctors passed by us like a million times and none of them bothers to check or look at us they have just passed by and gone to do there stuff I’ve been here sense 9:30 am and it’s now 12:50-1:00 pm. I don’t really recommend this place from my point of view and it’s feels like I’ve been here for ever my kids even took a nap which they don’t do so all I’m saying is I don’t like this places many doctors got of work and everyone is leaving so I give it a 0-1 star mainly a 0 I’ve seen many people come by and leave

For years I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. My A1C had slowly risen to 6.2 over the years prior to my 2 visits to Patient First. The Doctor DID NOT advise that 2 treatments of prednisone could cause my A1C to soar to 8.1. IF I had known this, I would have said NO to prednisone. I KNOW he did NOT warn me about diabetes. Checking in was very quick and the lady who check me in was extremely good and fast (boy her hands could fly). Then I had to wait about 20 minutes before going to the back, which wasn’t too bad. The nurse that took my vitals was very nice and professional. She later came into my room and said the doctor wanted me to have a quick Covid test. To let you know, my symptoms were sinus congestion, coughing with some coughing up phlegm, and with a normal temperature of 98. The Covid test came back negative as I thought it would. The doctor on the other hand, seemed to go straight to the Covid fall back. He ordered another Covid test, which BTW just came back today as NEGATIVE! He said after listing to my chest and knowing my symptoms, that I was what they call Covid curious. At this point I ask myself, who are THEY? From all the information that is out there, I thought THEY have said, if you have Covid you would have a fever and in many cases a loss of taste, smell, to which I had none of these. He then prescribe an antibiotic, which is helping me very nicely. So I ask myself, why it is always Covid”s fault? What happen to “well it could be bronchitis or sinus congestion”? I’m not really trying to put the doctor down at all, but he seemed a bit tired of all he has seen through the crazy last 18+ months and just possibly followed with the way everyone else in the medical community is doing. Blaming Covid. But all in all, I think they at Patient First are doing very good job. It sure beats going the E.R. or having to wait up to a week for the next opening at my doctor’s office.I will be back, but I hope not too soon!

THEY ARE JUST LOOKING TO TAKE AS MANY COPAYS FROM SOMEONE AS THEY CAN!!! If I could give less than 1 star to make my review I would. I arrived at exactly 8am Saturday when they opened and wasn’t seen until after 10am. Over an hour of that time I was in the back waiting, not in the waiting room. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given antibiotics. Since I had post nasal drip and a cough on Monday at work, I was asked to get a note saying I could return to work. I stopped on my way home to grab said note and was asked to sign in. I questioned why I would sign in to get a note after being previously seen. The women at the desk was rude to me. Then a nurse asked me to come and sit down. I explained that I was seen and needed a note. She gave me a paper fill out for treatment of care so they could charge my debit card on file. I asked what it was for and she told me I had to be seen. I again said that I was already seen. She was very rude and said that things don’t work that way. They can’t look in the system and since I am on antibiotics write a note. I have never in my life heard of this. If you go to a specific office and your visit is in the system the notes can be seen by any Dr or PA to write a note. The place is dirty and looks like they got leftover equipment from a rundown abandoned hospital. If you’re looking for an urgent care go to NowCare. It’s not far from Patient first but it’s clean, modern and they get you in and out.

She too made good use of my time and was very gentle in taking care of my broken toe. Whew!I wish I knew the names of all 3 ladies above, who were so helpful and nice during my visit to Patient First. They deserve proper credit. The one name I do remember is Dr. Santa! He’s the kind of professional one may expect to find in a large, more prestigious hospital. So I was pleasantly surprised to find such excellent care in what I’d previously thought was just a small clinic.I’d incorrectly gathered that small clinics were more conducive for recent graduates, garnering hours needed, to advance in their careers etc. Instead, it became clear how some professionals may simply prefer working in a smaller environment. (And I can certainly understand why as it seems to be a more relaxed environment than a large hospital.)Dr. Santa went above and beyond just looking after my broken toe, as he seemed genuinely concerned regarding my overall health, and asked questions accordingly. In response to my inquiry, he also explained how Patient First may actually be one’s choice of primary care doctors, so I will definitely be considering PF for future health care needs!God bless,RC

I ended up waiting in the waiting room twice (pre-check in & pre-screening) with a Covid + person. I think there must be a better way to see patients without asking them to wait together indoors even if they wear masks. Recommend having people with known exposure to covid wait in their cars. Also, I came in for a Covid test as well and was denied a rapid test even though I had two of the symptoms and I’ve been around two people who tested positive. I met with three separate medical staff as part of the check in process (which seemed senseless) and none of them were wearing full PPE (they wore masks/robe, no gloves or full face coverings). I would not recommend this urgent care bc I don’t think they are taking necessary precautions to protect the staff and I feel like going there may have exposed me more than necessary.

This doctor is so well equipped too handle anything and everything that comes her way in todays complex world especially pertaining too medicine. I desperately needed outpatient sergurey totally recognizable too Dr. Nguyen. Not only did she perform the surgery in a totally skilled manner, she also has the intuitive sense to make sure that I was comfortable and completely relaxed and in good health through the entire procedure ! I am so grateful that this Doctor recognized the need for me too recieve immediate attention and would advise everyone not feeling 100% to definitely not hesitate to be a Patient First ( patient ) !

My kids and I were seen in January for upper respiratory infections & strep. The waiting room was packed - this flu season is not joke. The care was excellent, and all the staff were very kind and accommodating. They really try to get everyone seen in a timely manner, yet the consultation with the doctor never feels rushed. The nurses are all wonderful. When in need of an urgent care, I recommend Patient First.

This location is the best I’ve been to so far compared to other patient firsts I’ve been to. The wait time was short and I got the treatment I needed quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very nice and professional. I spent a total of 1 hour from walking in the door to leaving with the medication I needed in hand. I will be going back in the future if needed. Would definitely recommend.
