We have boarded our 70 pound Golden Doodle at Blue Sky Farms of K9 Country Inn since she was a puppy. She is treated so well in their care that when we are taking her to board, we tell her she is going to Camp and she gets excited. The people there treat her as family. She gets plenty of outdoor exercise and socializes with similar size dogs. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in the proper care and handling of dogs. The facilities have always been clean and maintained well. We would not consider leaving our pet anywhere else. We have the highest confidence in her treatment and care.

Jeannine and the family are like a second home to our little girl. When we show up she starts wiggling with excitement! I adopted a 5 month old Mountain Cur dog. So cute BUT out of control. I dreaded coming home. Blue Sky Farms saved me. Cali now walks on a leash, does not chase my horses or kill anymore chickens/ducks. She stopped chewing on me as a bone, does not attack/jump on visitors. I am so happy I found you guys and you were able to perform miracles. My other dog (Lucy) even likes her now.

This was my first boarding experience with two Chinese Crested dogs, both 2 years old. Both the dogs and I couldnt have been happier with the experience. The staff is very responsive to each dogs needs and very communicative. I wouldnt hesitate to board there again!

We take our Bloodhound and GSD for grooming, boarding and the occasional Day Care. The owners are excellent trainers and knowledgeable of dogs. One of my pups is not overly social. Blue Sky team is able to handle her and give her the chance to play with other animals, something I do not trusted others with. My pups are always super excited to see me, lets me know they enjoyed their time with the Sky team.

We have been boarding our dogs to Blue Sky Farms for over 5 years and we love it. Our Pug is getting up in age, and does not play well with others. The staff go out of their way to pay extra attention to him during his stay. Our dogs usually stay an average of 10 days, and they both come home fit and happy. I would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of our two babies.

We took our 2 large huskies our for grooming. Nia did a great job. Out dogs looked wonderful after bath and grooming. They came home very happy. Beautiful location

First time I tried them was about a month ago and it was great, my dogs loved it. Having all the other animals there is way different than home, so it was an exciting adventure for them. Will definitely use them again!

We have been taking our dogs to Blue Sky Farms for 8 years and would HIGHLY recommend them. We have 2 Siberian Huskies and they absolutely love going to the kennel there. Our younger dog also had puppy classes at Blue Sky Farms. We typically have the dogs groomed before we pick them up and they always come home looking and smelling great! The staff have always been wonderful and we know we dont need to worry at all about our dogs while we are gone. I would not take my dogs to any other kennel.

Once we arrived to drop off our dog Ace off he was excited to go in. He is also Super excited being picked up. Ace would not be so excited with the staff if had a bad experience as a Cockerpoo. Its a nice looking place. Have not had any problems at Blue Skys. Have also heard good reviews from other who know theBusiness.

My Precious gets so excited when she realizes where she is going. When we had to change routes due to the Centerville bridge closure she just perked un p when she realized we were just taking a different route to her favorite place. My sweet girl ended up with skin problems due to an allergy to fleas and her friends at Blue Sky were just as worried about her as I was. She recommended a trip to the vet and I am glad I took her. We caught it in time. She loves her Blue Sky family as much as we do.

I have boarded my dog here several times and have had to issues. I even got to see him during one of their live videos. My dog, Harvey, actually gets excited when we get close by. Its a doggy sleep away camp for him.

Dog was placed in a crate without my knowledge. I have been taking my dog here about twice a year for a couple years. The last time I picked him up I found out that he was in a crate at night for 8 days, despite being told on other visits that he would be in a run. According to their website , see below.The boarding price includes the following:1. We live on site and are able to give your pet 24 hour a day care if needed.2. Large Spacious runs that are temperature controlled. *****3. Hours of playtime including, but not limited too: running, romping, swimming, playing ball, socializing, love and pampering daily.4. Do not bring your most favorite toy, many dogs will take their toys into the common area and another dog might get a hold of it and destroy it.8. A cookie and a kiss at bed time.My husband called today to ask if our dog could get a run, since he is not crated at home and they told him that they could not be reserved and the manager told him I know whats best for your dog . How can someone be so bold as to say they know MY Dog. You see him twice a year. Im just letting everyone know about this place. I had no problem with the daytime activities, they were great. They do let the dogs play together, which is nice.

Jeannine and her staff are super terrific. They are great with animals and even better with kids. They showed by children around the farm. Taught them the importance of properly caring for your animals and they always make you feel at home. This is a top notch place for boarding and kenneling your animals, and as a bonus, they offer birthday packages as well!!!!

They never disappoint me and my dog is very comfortable with the staff there.

I purchase my horse grain here, drive 40 min out of my way for two reasons: 1. The grain is amazing (not cheap, but amazing), 2. The staff and owners are consistently friendly, accomadating, and just down right good people. If we ever had to board dogs I would take them here, it always smells clean and whenever Ive walked through just visiting with Jeanine the animals all look safe and happy.

We rescued a pitbull five years ago that was very poorly behaved and hard to train (not the dogs fault he had been abused and was very anxious). In fact, he was flat out dangerous. We were desperate to get him to behave and to make him safe to be around so he could be the valued member of our family we knew he was capable of being. After being trained he became the most well behaved and polite dog on the planet. We have never had an issue with him since. Hes become such a good boy and absolute sweetheart. Once again we recently rescued another pitbull with a history of abuse. We got his basic training down (sit, stay, wait, down, come, paw, use the potty outside ect) but he can be very stubborn (refusing to listen to no when he doesnt feel like obeying, and has a bad habbit of being too rough during play and doing play bites) I was so happy when i called blue sky farms, and found out they still offered trainin. We will be bringing our new dog for training! We trust no one else with training our large rescue dogs and training us to be better dog parents.

We boarded our dogs here I think 4 years ago. Jeannie was very nice to us, and she was very willing to work with our dog Bella who was not an easy dog. Her prices are very fair. She doesnt charge for medication administration which I think is great. We dont live close by which is the only reason we dont take our dogs there. I wish we lived closer.

Ive been leaving my dogs here for 8 years. I would not trust my dogs anywhere else. They have a great time and love grammys house. They play and run and get loved on by the whole staff. Its a place filled with animal lovers.

We picked Blue Sky based on the great reviews online. However, we received a much different result. The primary purpose of using this company was for obedience stay-and-train training. We boarded our 1 year old Goldendoodle for 2.5 weeks. When we picked our dog up, there was little evidence of training. In addition, the dog was filthy and most importantly VERY sick. We brought the dog to the vet the very next day. He was diagnosed with Kennel Cough, pre-pneumonia and after a fecal result, hook worms. Our dog was perfectly healthy when he arrived. There was literally snot dripping from his nose when we got him, his tail was between his legs and he lost 15% of his body weight. Absolutely no medical care was offered to our dog nor were we notified he was sick. Hundreds of dollars in medical bills later and two major 2x a day medications, and he is coming back. No thanks in any way to Blue Sky Farms.Based on our experience, the facility lacks the basic ability to recognize illnesses of their boarded dogs. If they could not tell how sick our dog was, I seriously question how much training he received, for which we see no evidence of.

I take my dog, Cali, here all the time. Whether its last minute or me even arriving late they are always ready and eager to accommodate. When I take she runs and jumps in their arms as if I dont even exist. They are the best.

My dog is my child as I have no human children. He literally runs into the kennel every time he is going to stay. I have never met a kennel more accommodating to my needs. I sometimes have less then a day warningbefore I have to leave. They allow me to bring his crate and bed if they are all booked up. If they didnt I would have to pay for an in home service to take care of him. The owner also has no problem with my dog walker coming to get him out here and there to give him a break. I also use there obedience program and have scene decent results.

Blue Sky Farms is the BEST & ONLY place we take our dog to. The family who runs the farm and the people who work with the dogs treat our dog like their own. The boarding area is open and cheerful. They go the extra mile in everything they do... When we dropped our dog off for his stay over Christmas break, the kennel area was cheerfuly playing christmas music to the dogs. When we picked our dog up, they went the extra mile to wash his blanket for him.Our dog used to be the anxious/nervous type... The first time he went to Blue Sky Farms he didnt want to eat, they called us & brought the phone to him so he could hear our voice and spent time with him to help him be comfortable away from home. Now, over a year and a half later... Our dog gets so excited to go to Blue Sky Farms that the moment we turn on to Long Ridge Road he starts to bounce around in the car (125 lbs of a bouncing, happy dog) because he knows where were going.We have boarded our dog at Blue Sky Farms more times than I can count. We have always observed the staff interacting with all the dogs with love

As a user of this facility I wanted to rebut BJ Disisto review. When Blue Sky is FULL many of the regular boarders, who waited to long to make a reservation, will let them board their dogs as long as they bring their own crate. So we as regular boarders are fully aware that Blue Sky Farms is putting OUR crates where they can to accommodate our pups. We are very thankful to Blue Sky Farms for taking care of us.

I wont board my Dutch Shepherd Kaiju anywhere else but Blue Sky Farms! Dwayne is also our trainer for IPO Schutzhund and protection work. He is very experienced, patient and helpful in learning how to be a better dog handler with her.I have to also give a 5 STARS for Nia who grooms Kaiju. I have tried to do her nails multiple times and it is too stressful for me. I take her to Nia and she gets it done and for some reason my dog lets her do her nails. She comes away looking brand new and smelling super fruity and clean after being groomed there.Also the most reasonable prices in town for boarding and grooming!

I would give zero stars if it were possible. Please do yourself and your dog a huge favor and ask to take a tour during a busy time like a weekend or a holiday. Then you will really see this places true colors. Its heartbreaking. Although they may have runs, there are more dogs in crates in the middle of the floor (back to back, no separation between them, no privacy or much room for the dogs to move around) than there are in the actual runs. It seems like a huge money making scheme. You wont find soft blankets and toys in them either. You can imagine the fear and stress this puts dogs under to be totally exposed in a crate for days on end, right next to other barking dogs. The staff sounded nice on the phone which is why we brought our dog here. We liked the idea of it being family owned, apparently trained and certified (I would ask to see these licenses too), in a quiet place (we were so wrong to assume this would mean less stress on our pup). Please dont trust the reviews. Were sick to our stomachs about boarding our pup here. We wish we had pushed to take the tour before dropping him off - we were given a lame excuse, like the dog would hurt itself trying to get to where it saw us last leave - so we didnt take the tour until after picking him up. It was just awful and the staff gave each other hesitant glances when we asked - now we know why. Ask to see where the little dogs are too - its even worse. Please - go see for yourself. Youll be glad you did. We had a much better experience at Sterling Meadows in Virginia Beach.

This is Jeannine Foster, owner of Blue Sky Farms. I am writing in response to the review published by Kerry Smith. I have gone through all of our records here and we have never done business nor boarded a dog for this person. Her review does not in any way accurately describe our facility. Our kennels are huge. They are all temperature controlled and well ventilated. All dogs have access to unlimited fresh water at all times. We have never boarded any dogs in a closet or in any area in which they could not stretch out and be comfortable. I can not think of any kennels in the area that would do such a thing and then offer tours at anytime and show this kind of environment to the public. They certainly would not be in business for very long. I have been in business for over ten years and have a large customer base with many, many repeat customers. Some of my customers have been coming here for as long as I have been open. My staff is wonderful. They are kind caring and very dog knowledgable. They know each and every dog that comes into the kennel and they spend time with each and every dog. As for toys, dogs are allowed to have certain kinds of toys if they behave with them and the toys are not dangerous. We do not allow any rawhide as that is a very dangerous toy and can easily cause a blockage in a dog. We also will closely monitor any stuffed animals and tennis balls. If the dog starts chewing them up they are removed. Lastly, if a dog gets guarding with his toy, barking or growling at staff or other dogs, we will remove his toy. For instance, we had a pit bull here over the hollidays. His owner had packed him a raw hide wreath, tons of treats and a kong toy. We of course did not give him the wreath and he was aggressive over his other toy so it was removed. We must always do whats right for the dogs even if that upsets an owner. lastly, the reviews written here, were written by customers, not our staff. We encourage all of our customers to give honest feedback at any time and hope that if anyone is ever dissatisfied with our service, that they would come to me in person, so that I could attempt to rectify any problems or issues.
