I have seen Dr. Matthias for 10 years now and I love him! He is so knowledgeable! He loves to explain things to patients, and doesnt mind if you ask him to dumb it down for better understanding (which I encourage patients to do)! I moved out of the area but I still travel from NoVa to see him! Margie the nurse is also great!The only downside is the longer waiting time in the waiting room- but as a health professional myself, I understand that wait periods just mean the doctor is doing his best to help the person in front of him, which is what I REALLY appreciate!

Called for a new patient appointment. The person answering the phone stated she would have to call me back because she just sat down and had to go back out front. Didnt recieve a call back! Someone needs more customer service training! Got the referral changed!

I hate to have to do this bc I really like the doctor here, but I dont like the service. I was told that I would receive a call back concerning lab results, possible treatment, and I have not. My prescriptions still get sent to the wrong pharmacy after the doctor and I went over where they should go. Get this...the doctor called me and asked me where I was (ummm in your lobby) bc he thought I missed my appointment. Never had a doctor do that, but I cant even get a call back as promised. I have emailed, left numerous messages and nothing. Another doctor sent me here and I cant get either one of them to coordinate my care together at all. All these doctors are overworked and overwhelmed and bc of it, I cant seem get my little issues resolved. Guess I will have to start all over again...with yet another doctor who may or may not listen, care or follow up like they always promise...Im really sad.

Dr. Mathias and his team are exceptional.This is a Dr. that takes his time to explain with details. He tells you as it is-straight forward. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. He listens and actually looks at you while you’re speaking...never in a rush to kick you out to get to the next patient.Love it!

I started seeing Dr. Mohammed earlier this year. I was happy with the doctor, but on both occasions after seeing him, I was told to make a 3 month follow up appointment. Yet, when I went to the desk to do so, I was told his schedule was not available and that I should call back. After calling back several times after that visit, I was finally given an appointment one month later than originally advised. After that second appointment, the same thing happened, his scheduled was not available. The receptionist assured me she would call me back when his schedule became available, she never did. At this point I decided to find another doctor. Having a specialist doesnt do you any good if you cant get in to see him.

First appointment: I arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork for a 12:30 appointment. It is almost 1:15 and still waiting in the waiting room to be called in. Just over heard another patient say that they need to reschedule because they have been waiting an hour and a half.Got called back at 1:35. Now just waiting for the doctor.The doctor came in at 1:40. He was extremely nice and well informed. Here’s hoping that he is worth the long wait.
