This bank is absolutely terrible, I didnt even realize a bank could be so bad. I got a car loan through a dealer that was set up through them (not by my choice) and in this 5ish years Ive had the loan Ive had COUNTLESS issues. I cant make payments online so I have to call / email a representative every month, and every month I have to follow up several times to get them to actually process it. I also have to pay a processing fee although the option to pay in person or online isnt one I have (there are no branches near me). Ive even recieved late payment notices after trying for days to make a payment with no success... what bank doesnt take your money?! When I finally paid off my loan, they sent the title to an address I havent lived at in years despite me trying to provide the correct one and what the DMV has on file. I honestly cant even remember half the issues Ive had, but there literally has not been one easy or professional interaction in my entire time with them. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else.

Worst bank to have a loan through! All of their technology is stuck in the past. Per every phone call I have sat through....You can not pay your loan online without opening a checking with them to pay it. Only other options they give you is to call in to pay or mail a check. They charge fees everyway you pay unless its through a checking account with them. Also they require if you mail a check you do so at least 14 days in advance from your due date. They also inform you if the check arrives late you will be held accountable for all late fees and additional interest. Umm... seems weird that you are required to mail 14 days in advance but still have no guarantee that they will not just say you are late and charge you extra anyway.... I would highly suggest looking ANYWHERE else for any loan needs you may have. Unless you like being charged for paying your bills ontime, not being given accurate information, and waiting on hold for extended periods of time, then by all means give NAE a try!

I give them a 3 star cause Im still undecided. Got an auto loan through them a couple weeks ago with great rates. Well yesterday I get a call from an Indian woman saying I need to show proof of income and she had my information so I thought it was legit. Called NAE myself to double check and not only was the loan supervisor very rude from the first second, she said she never heard of that name or number I have her. So I dont know yet. But she could have been professional on the phone

The other post are correct. The customer service on Battlefield branch is terrible. The manager doesnt like to service black people at all and hates for you to ask any questions. The tellers arent any better.The one black teller is not any better. If you need assistance go to the Indian River Branch.

I’d give them half a star if I could, but I can’t so I guess one will do. Anyhow, this is an amazing bank, if you are stuck 40 years in the past. They do not offer most of the convenient features provided by most banks today and have inconvenienced me countless times by overdrafting my account because they hold transactions forever. I’d say more but not worth my time. Do NOT bank here unless you don’t care who handles your money.

I should have read the reviews prior to opening this account with NAE. I can’t say how embarrassing it is not to be able to pay for services because of this banking system update. No message was sent out to warn you that you may not be able to use your ATM card because of their systems issue. I was surprised when I learned they didn’t have an app like some other major banks and the website is out of date . One of the bank tellers on N Battlefield blvd is not welcoming and I don’t like being waited on by her. She never puts my money in my hand, always on the counter . I’m done with NAE. First thing in the morning I’m taking out all my money and opening another account elsewhere!

This is the worse bank ever! Customer service is horrible. I was young when I first opened my car loan with them and was just excited about the whole situation. If I knew what I know now I would have not opened my account with them. I would had went with my original bank Navy Federal. After my car loan is paid off Im closing this account. I try my best to tell everyone not to join them. Scammers

None of my transactions (recurring or new) will go through. I suspect it has to do with their system upgrades. I checked the website and it does not state that the credit and debit cards will not properly work. But they are not working. This is happening through March 4th and is a huge inconvenience to many people. They should be contacting people and letting them know that there is an issue with processing transactions. The offices are closed until March 1st. Theres no one to talk to. Other than this major issue, the service is acceptable.

Really wish you could give them a 0 star. How can a bank go back on a deal because I’m Military and not stationed in VA. I even tried to set up a payment with them through my pay and they didn’t want to work with me. I really think they are put to get military.

Ive been a member here for a while so Im sure what I have to say should count for a lot. Their rates are great and I wont deny them that and they have less paperwork and a less complicated system of processing etc. However, their system overall, online included is very stone age. Everything about this bank needs to be updated esp. with banks like Navy Federal around that I think is the BEST institution. Ive had bad customer service as well as good with NAE so I dont judge that, as all employees having a bad day misrepresent any company.NAE desperately needs more branches within reach and to update their online system ASAP. Its been very inconvenient with their few locations. Also their customer service call center serves no purpose at all. You can only check your account with them which you can do yourself but nothing else They dont do any normal bank work at all.The only thing that really turned me off to this bank is when I was charged $50 twice when my account was hacked. Who charges their customer for someone elses fraudulent actions?! Otherwise the bank is ok, but can do a lot better.

Called in and was directed to their 24 hour service and was greeted by Clement F. He was fundamentally a fantastic person, quickly and easily answering all of my questions and best directing me in what I was needing help with, I highly recommend this man as the service and was very courteous and easy to talk to. Please if it can be directed let him know how much I appreciate his assistance!

Technology issues with newly designed website is nothing but a big headache. Toll free number is useless. I waited over 9 minutes only to not receive any assistance with a flawed logon system. I ended up traveling 50 miles to get the issue right. I was glad to do business with this place but I just cant keep being a customer without getting the proper assistance. The bad thing is couldnt get any assistance on the phone but once you walk in, nobodys really busy! Are they just looking at the phone lines and ignoring customer calls.

The online system is awful. It asks for a security question each time. Sometimes it likes the answers. Sometimes it doesnt. I have had to go to the credit union to reset the questions twice. Both times the teller gives me an I know response when I complain about the system not recognizing my answers. One last complaint. I financed a car with them and thought the customer service was poor. I couldnt get the lady handling the loan to return my calls. I finally got so irritated that I sat in the foyer until she was able to meet with me. The problem was the lady handling the loan seemed to be running the place by herself. There were plenty of people at work, but she seemed to be the go to person for everything.

Bottom of the barrel credit union stuck in the stone age. Limited online functions, QUARTERLY billing statements, and poor customer service. Their business model was effective many many years ago but they need a reset or a closure. Avoid this place at all costs.

Unable to access loan information online without opening a membership, never receive statements by mail or email. Customer service is hit or miss with competent people and they transfer you at the blink of an eye. Customer service personnel are rude and make it difficult for the caller to get a resolution. Currently refinancing to a new bank so I wont have to check into anger management after each call.

Waited 20 minutes for Mary to finish yapping with her coworker. After I let her know that I thought it was rude she dismissed it. I let her know I would continue to do business with Navy Federal (if you are a civilian contractor I highly recommend it!!) she told me to go ahead and even offered up her bosses card to call! She made a few snarky comments afterwards. Needless to say the situation blew way out of control. Instead of her at least acknowledging the problem it has escalated to a bad review. Understand ymmv but please do your research first! Keep in mind theyre not a small cu because its warm and friendly, theyre small because they dont have the customer service that even holds a candle to Navy Federal. They are stuck in the 90s in both technology and service. Please stop by battlefield NAE if you choose to see for yourself.

This is the worst credit union in the world & needs to be shut down. The customer service is horrible especially from a man name Paul Johnson. He became very rude and upset with me when I told him I did not like the way this credit union operates. He told me I could not pay my loan and that I was breaking their contract when really the other branches do not talk or share information because they did not have my insurance infomation that I sent 1 month ago . I do not recommend this credit union to anybody! I work 6 days a week I do not have time to come to the branch to make a payment every time.

Had the same experience as Mr Corbett.NAE employees on N Battlefield Blvd are cold and unwelcoming. The Manager sets the tone and shes bad at that role.Totally different atmosphere on Taylor Rd. Im greeted with a smile and professional courtesy. Seems like its two entirely different institutions.

Don’t know who’s in charge now, this Bank went down when the Ford Plant closed, their system is totally out dated, apparently it doesn’t talk to the rest of the system, Customer services sucks, they don’t seem to have a clue, close their doors on Saturdays and not inform all of their members. Like really?? Can’t wait until I pay this loan off. 👎🏽

Too bad I cant leave 0 stars. This bank is the worst. Moved out of state and they insist I show up in person to change my address. I got a car loan through them and they refuse to send my coupon book for payments as well as refuse to fix my account login info so that I can access online. The only way I can pay is wire transfer and calling to transfer from my savings to loan payment. Cant wait to pay off my loan and be done with their terrible customer service.

The employees were rude to each other and to me. Very condescending, accusational, and unprofessional. If I could give less than a star I would. Also noticed tellers eating and drinking at their stations while handling money??? Can’t believe the way these people conduct themselves.
